I finally purchased the long-awaited "doburoku"! Even though I have lived for over half a century, I have never tried doburoku before. The name of the doburoku, "Kiryo," comes from the late owner's name for "Kiryo" and the beautiful ridgelines of the nearby mountains for "Ryo". It was written by the late owner's mother-in-law, who had beautiful handwriting. Additionally, if you look closely, the dot on the right side of the "do" in the red-lettered "doburoku" is a hidden character "tok" taken from the name of the landlady. Now, about the doburoku itself - it has a fizzy carbonation and a crunchy texture from the rice grains, making it feel more like eating than drinking. The alcohol content is not too strong, so I quickly finished a bottle. I plan to buy two or three more bottles next time! By the way, there are four more doburoku producers in the Nagano doburoku special zone, each with a different taste, so I would like to visit them as well. Thank you, Kimura-san, for the delicious meal♪

[Takeout] Longnuma Town has become a special zone for doburoku, and currently, 5 farming households are producing and selling doburoku. This particular place uses rice grown on their own farm to make doburoku. It is unpasteurized and needs to be kept refrigerated to prevent further fermentation. The location of Kimura Farm is along Route 1008, just after the intersection with the road where Heidi Farm is located. The reviewer discovered the doburoku sign while driving towards Sapporo and decided to stop by. They received a warm welcome from a friendly old dog and purchased a bottle of doburoku for 1000 yen. The owner explained that the bottle should be stored in the refrigerator immediately due to the presence of a breathing hole in the lid and the unpasteurized nature of the doburoku. The reviewer enjoyed the crisp and dry taste of the doburoku, with countless tiny bubbles reminiscent of carbonation. They recommend enjoying it with homemade dried salted cod. Overall, they were impressed and eager to return for another purchase, but next time they will remember to bring a cooler.
