Osaka/Umeda [Sushi Ayatsuki] ☑︎ Today's OMAKASE Course ¥12,000 ◆ 7 kinds of luxurious assorted appetizers: Milt, parboiled puffer fish skin, etc. ◆ Sashimi: Seared bonito and 3 types of sea urchin for tasting and comparison. ◆ Replacement bowl: The original Negima (tuna!?) ◆ Steamed dish: Steamed puffer fish in a clay pot ◆ Grilled dish: Yellowtail steak ◆ Nigiri: 10 pieces ◆ Dessert This price is incredibly luxurious! The sushi offers overwhelming cost-effectiveness. Every dish, from the appetizers to the nigiri, was exquisite. I was particularly impressed by the: ◆ Comparison of the three types of sea urchin✨ You can choose your favorite out of the 3 types for a nigiri! ◆ Puffer fish steamed in a clay pot ◆ Ootoro: The toppings are thick and filling. This is what true gastronomy is all about. The owner and staff were all wonderful, and we had a really happy time. Hidden gem on the 6th floor of a building in Umeda❣️ Sushi Ayatsuki (@sushi.ayatsuki) ← You'll definitely miss it if you're just walking by, it's super tucked away! Even once you get to the 6th floor, there’s no sign, so finding the restaurant is quite challenging. However, upon entering, I found it already fully booked with reservations, and that day, the place was packed with foreign customers! Given the abundant presence of foreigners, the menu was naturally designed to cater to them, and conversations flowed smoothly❣️ The experience at the lively counter, enjoying everything prepared right in front of you, was something else! Watching the chef skillfully handle the delicate sushi was captivating. It was my first time having so much fun even during the preparation stage♪ On this day, I ordered the chef's special course for 12,000 yen, and I added a drink package for an extra 3,000 yen. The content of this course far exceeded my expectations for 12,000 yen! ✔︎ Appetizer: Bamboo shoot and scallop with seasonal herb miso sauce ✔︎ Three types of starters: Mozuku seaweed, Kyoto-style sashimi yuba, water celery with mustard ✔︎ Two types of sashimi: Bluefin tuna and yellowtail ✔︎ Three types of uni tasting: This day, we had red uni (1 type) and purple uni (2 types)❤️ I carefully selected one type from the tasting, and my chosen uni was served as the last sushi of the meal! ✔︎ Chawanmushi (savory egg custard) with aonori sauce ✔︎ Sautéed firefly squid and steam-cooked clams ✔︎ Grilled turban shell ✔︎ 10 types of sushi ✔︎ Red miso soup ✔︎ Dessert The 10 types of sushi included my favorites like fatty tuna, simmered eel, and shrimp with caviar on top. The Spanish mackerel was delicious too❤️ At the end, my selected uni from the tasting appeared as a sushi piece, and it was just blissful!❣️ #SushiAyatsuki

Umeda Gourmet: "Sushi Sai Getsu" is a hidden sushi spot in Umeda. I recently had their 12,000 yen course, and it was incredibly satisfying! There were 7 beautifully prepared dishes, followed by 11 pieces of sushi, making for an impressive amount of food. They even offered a sea urchin tasting, allowing you to choose your favorite flavor, which they would then serve as sushi later—how delightful! (*☻-☻*) Every piece of sushi was absolutely delicious, perfectly pairing with sake. As a toro lover, I thoroughly enjoyed trying the medium fatty tuna, fatty tuna, and tuna belly, each showcasing rich flavors. The individual dishes were all made with care; the chawanmushi topped with tuna sarashi was something I had never tasted before and offered a wonderfully deep flavor. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a sushi course in a mature and elegant atmosphere, I highly recommend this restaurant! They also have private rooms, making it ideal for small gatherings or romantic dates, where you can enjoy great sushi and drinks together.

"Sushi Satsuki Osaka Umeda" is a hidden sushi restaurant located in Taiyujimachi, Umeda. The interior features a sophisticated and chic color scheme, centered around a U-shaped counter with eight seats, where the chef showcases his skilled craftsmanship, providing a lively dining experience. Today, I enjoyed the most popular omakase course (¥12,000) with an all-you-can-drink option. Here’s the course content: ✅ Appetizer: Oysters and chestnuts simmered with yuzu ✅ Assorted appetizers: Konnyaku with fish roe, pickled shallots with cream cheese and sardine flakes, red clam with sweet miso ✅ Sashimi: Nagasaki's hon-maguro red meat and Wakayama's sawara ✅ Sea urchin: A comparison of three types of sea urchin ✅ Special sashimi: White fish yukke ✅ Hot dish: Renkon dumpling with eel ✅ Steamed dish: Chawanmushi with tuna and sake lees ✅ Grilled dish: Salt-marinated buri from Rausu ✅ Sushi ◆ Hirame ◆ Shima aji ◆ Omi shrimp with caviar ◆ Chutoro ◆ Honmaguro otoro ◆ Steamed sushi with tai ◆ Braised anago ◆ Shirasu and ikura sushi bowl ◆ Kinmedai ◆ Toro-taku (chutoro with pickled daikon) ◆ Sea urchin plate ✅ Soup: Clam red miso ✅ Dessert: Monaka ice cream and mochi Wow! I’m full! Although the course was quite substantial, the preparation, composition, and presentation of the dishes were excellent, making it easy to manage. Everything was incredibly delicious! Before the sushi, I got to enjoy various dishes and sake. The comparison of the three types of sea urchin was interesting. Without revealing the origins or types, I selected my favorite to enjoy at the end with a sea urchin plate. The one I chose was the red spoon in the middle. The results were Hokkaido's purple sea urchin, along with two other types of Hokkaido's horse manure sea urchin and the Northern horse manure sea urchin. Before serving the sushi, all types were beautifully arranged on a plate, looking luxurious! I could hardly wait to eat! The sushi rice was seasoned with red vinegar and was of a medium size. They were all delicious, but today’s top three were: ◆ Sea urchin plate: The purple sea urchin I selected was plentiful! The sweetness and unique flavor of the sea urchin spread in my mouth—luxurious indeed! ◆ Toro-taku: A sandwich style with pickled daikon, chutoro, pickled daikon, and otoro. It was my first time trying this, and the texture was fantastic! ◆ Omi shrimp with caviar: The shrimp was firm and sweet. The slightly salty taste of the caviar combined perfectly—just perfect! I enjoyed a lot of sake to match the dishes! The service was great, and the chef explained various things, making for a wonderful experience. Thank you for the amazing meal! I had to make a reservation on short notice and chose this sushi restaurant based on its availability. Upon entering, I noticed that the staff seemed to be overseas employees? As more customers came in, I realized that there were quite a few international tourists, which indicated that the restaurant caters to them. The course had a very wide variety of dishes! A notable feature was the sea urchin tasting, where I could choose my favorite from three types, and in the end, I was served a large portion of sea urchin. I believe the quality of the sea urchin was quite high. It seems that they spend more on that! The seasoning of each dish might vary in terms of personal preference, but overall, the cost performance was excellent. I highly recommend it for those who prioritize cost performance.

There's a time difference. I was invited to Sushi Ayatsuki in the Umeda area by a famous Instagram influencer. I think this is a genre you don’t typically see in my posts, so take a look! This place is perfect for dates, and the highlight is definitely the incredible value of the course! Starting with the appetizers, a sea urchin tasting, sushi, and everything from the sides to the desserts is high quality for just 12,000 yen. I was shocked at the quality for this price! The chef showcases the sushi ingredients at the beginning, and I thought it would cost over 30,000 yen! I've heard it's hard to make reservations, especially with foreign customers, but the popular reputation is well-deserved! Thanks to my information network for taking me to a place I definitely wouldn’t have discovered on my own. On this day, we had: - Appetizer: Yuzu-flavored oyster - Three types of appetizers - Today's sashimi - A tasting of three types of sea urchin - White fish yukke (raw fish with seasoning) - Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) - Grilled dish - 11 types of sushi including chu-toro (medium fatty tuna) and o-toro (fatty tuna) - Red miso soup - Dessert The quality was unbelievable for just 12,000 yen! Sushi is generally expensive, so if you're looking for excellent quality at a reasonable price, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. I believe you’ll have a high level of satisfaction no matter the situation. Also, the chef is incredibly friendly, and I intentionally used a few of his photos in my post! The presence of the chef really does make a difference in satisfaction at sushi restaurants. I was so satisfied; it felt like an extraordinary experience! Thanks for the meal; it was delicious! I’ll definitely come again! 3150, thank you! On this day, I visited #SushiSaituki in Umeda! The chef personally selects the finest ingredients from the market, paired with specially crafted red rice. This restaurant honors traditional techniques and provides an artistic sushi kaiseki experience that is filled with heartfelt care! This time, I had the following course: -------------------------------------------------------- Today's Omakase Course ¥12,000 -------------------------------------------------------- The meal begins with small appetizers, followed by intricate dishes. The tasting of three kinds of sea urchin was surprising! It was amazing how different the flavors are depending on the source. As the course progressed, we enjoyed lotus root dumplings, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), grilled dishes, and then entered the sushi phase! We had flounder, striped jack, medium fatty tuna, fatty tuna, red sea bream with salmon roe atop a small sushi, sea bream sushi with a small scoop, eel, toro-taku (fatty tuna and pickles), and a plate of sea urchin. Watching the chef's artistic skill as he crafted the sushi, I couldn’t help but take a bite of the sushi... and oh my goodness, it was soooo delicious! Each piece featured fresh, glistening toppings, with rice that just melted away, each bite was an emotional delight. After a brief pause with clam soup, we finished with a crispy monaka ice cream. Ahhh~! It was too good! ✨️ It felt like a hidden gem on the 6th floor of a building, a place known to those in the know! I was truly moved. In Osaka, there’s a hidden gem sushi restaurant in Umeda, a bit of a walk from the station. This restaurant serves only course meals, and you can enjoy a luxurious sushi course. They offer a variety of dishes, from creative toppings to well-prepared traditional sushi, and everything was delicious. The highlight for me was the comparison of sea urchins, followed by a generous helping of my favorite sea urchin sushi—simply outstanding! It's a truly indulgent sushi experience. The pace of the meal was a little fast, so with such a fulfilling course, it would have been even better to enjoy it at a slower pace.

▶️ Today's Chef's Course ¥12,000 - Includes appetizers, a three-kind sashimi platter, two types of sashimi, a comparison of three types of sea urchin, a warm dish, steamed dishes, grilled dishes, sushi, red miso soup, and dessert. Located on the sixth floor of a mixed-use building in Taiyuji-cho, "Sushi Saigetsu" is in a deep area, but there were many foreign visitors! The "Sushi Making Experience Course," which allows guests to experience Japanese sushi culture, is popular. A highlight for me was the comparison of sea urchins✨. One of my favorites was selected and served as a gunkan (sea urchin sushi) towards the end. The course was rich in variety, allowing me to enjoy a wide range of dishes!

I visited for lunch during the day. First, the location is a bit far from Osaka Station, taking about 20 minutes to walk. The restaurant is on the 6th floor of a building in a hotel area, and I was a bit apprehensive about entering. The four-person seating area felt a little cramped and was like a small private room. At the counter, there were several customers from overseas. They even brought over the ingredients for today’s course for me to take a photo, which I appreciated. As for the course itself, I found the amount to be slightly on the larger side, but overall, I was satisfied with the content.

I visited "Sushi Satsuki," which is about a 7-minute walk from Umeda Station. This restaurant carefully selects natural ingredients from various regions of Japan and is committed to traditional preparation methods and techniques, allowing you to enjoy exquisite sushi dishes that exude luxury! This time, they emphasized traditional preparation methods such as simmering, steaming, pickling, and grilling to enhance the qualities of the ingredients, offering a dedicated and authentic sushi kaiseki course. The course featured "11 types of sushi" made with carefully selected ingredients from across the country, allowing me to enjoy 11 varieties of sushi that truly showcased the flavors of the ingredients— I was very satisfied! Each piece was incredibly fresh, and since they were brushed with soy sauce, I could just pop them straight into my mouth! Indulging in luxury ingredients such as fatty tuna, medium fatty tuna, pink snapper, and sea urchin, the sushi was unbelievably delicious! - **Appetizer:** Simmered oysters and chestnuts. The plump, fresh oysters paired beautifully with a gentle soy sauce-based broth— what a delightful first dish! Both ingredients were seasonal and delicious. - **Appetizer platter:** A colorful assortment of three beautiful appetizers! Each had a pleasing texture. - **Sashimi:** Today’s sashimi was fresh bluefin tuna from Nagasaki and Spanish mackerel from Wakayama. The freshness and umami were exceptional! - **Sea urchin:** A tasting of three types of sea urchin. The best one was served on a sea urchin plate! - **Unique sashimi:** Today featured white fish tartare! The round pearls resembling roe were sauce, adding depth and a slightly toasted flavor that paired perfectly with the sashimi. A striking and vibrant dish! - **Lotus root dumpling:** A comforting dish with heartwarming broth and fluffy lotus root dumpling, which astonishingly includes eel— simply extravagant! - **Steamed dish:** Steamed chawanmushi (savory egg custard) with tuna fermented with miso! The accent of the tuna's flavor was superb, with the umami from the seafood distinctly felt— a remarkable taste found only in a sushi restaurant! - **Grilled dish:** Flaky grilled salmon! The richness spread in my mouth— it's amazing how the taste varies depending on which part you eat! Each piece had its own deliciousness, making every bite satisfying. - **Dessert:** Monaka sandwich! Ice cream, rice cake, and red bean paste all come together beautifully, making it perfect for cleansing the palate! The staff were all friendly, attentive, and their care was delightful, making me a fan of the place! 😊

【Reservation】Made a reservation through Tabelog. The reservation was easy to get. 【Dining Companions】Two friends 【Dishes Ordered and Prices, Most Delicious Dish】Omakase course for 12,000 yen + oolong tea for 600 yen. The sea urchin was the most delicious. However, all the dishes felt like they were just shy of being excellent. It felt like a higher-end version of a high-class conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Considering the price, quality, and ease of making a reservation, the restaurant has a certain demand. Unfortunately, the grilled fish, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), and lotus root dumplings were lukewarm when they should have been hot, which was disappointing. The first dish, simmered oysters, was overly salty, making it questionable as a starting dish. 【Staff Service and Response】Although they seemed well-meaning, I felt rushed throughout the experience. 【Atmosphere of the Restaurant】The interior is stylish, creating a pleasant atmosphere. 【Cost Performance】Average. 【Likelihood of Revisit】I wouldn't return unless invited.

This time, I had the opportunity to enjoy a hidden gem sushi restaurant where you can experience sushi making and compare different types of sea urchin. We opted for a chef's choice course that included all-you-can-drink. Here’s the course menu: - Simmered oysters with yuzu flavor - Three types of appetizers - Sashimi - Comparison of three types of sea urchin - White fish yukke - Lotus root dumpling - Chawanmushi (savory egg custard) - Today's grilled dish - Eleven types of sushi - Shijimi clam red miso soup - Dessert It was a hearty course that allowed us to savor both seasonal ingredients and sushi! The most impressive part of the course was the comparison of three types of sea urchin, presented with a secret origin. We got to choose our favorite sea urchin, which was served as a gunkan (hand-formed sushi) at the end of the meal! It was fun and unique✨ After making our selection, they shared the types and origins of the three sea urchins, which made for a lively conversation (laughs). By the way, I chose "Hokkaido Purple Sea Urchin." Everyone had different preferences, which was really interesting! There was also a foreign guest sitting next to us who participated in the sushi-making experience❣ It looked like so much fun and is surely a great memory✨ If you’re interested, you should definitely check it out! ⏩ Today's chef's choice course (with all-you-can-drink) was ¥15,000.

All the staff can serve customers in English, so foreign guests can feel at ease. There is also a separate sushi-making experience course available. The main sushi offerings are outstanding. ● Omakase Course: 12,000 yen - Appetizer: Oysters with chestnuts and green beans - Assorted appetizers: Three types including mackerel, garlic, and red clam with vinegared miso, and konjac with roe - Sashimi: Sawara and lean bluefin tuna - Sea urchin trio tasting: Hokkaido purple sea urchin, Miyagi purple sea urchin, and Russian bafun sea urchin. You can take your time to compare the flavors and choose the best one. Later, you will receive a generous serving of the selected sea urchin. - White fish yukhoe - Warm dish: Lotus root dumpling - Chawanmushi (savory egg custard) with tuna soy sauce - Today's grilled dish: Salted autumn salmon - Sushi: 10 types. I heard that I could enjoy a delightful kaiseki sushi course for just 12,000 yen, including tax, so I went to check it out. Since I love alcohol, I added a drink-all-you-can option for an extra 3,000 yen! The restaurant has only 8 counter seats and a table for four, creating an intimate atmosphere. It's located in a bit of a hidden spot, and there's no sign at the entrance, making it feel like a hidden gem. The course featured a comparison of sea urchin, as well as plenty of tuna — both fatty and medium — and many other dishes that left me extremely satisfied. The standout was the toro-taku served at the end, which was amazing. The cost performance is great, and this place has become one of my favorites.

Everything was delicious, but the shrimp with caviar, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), tuna, and eel were particularly exquisite. The portions were also generous, so I definitely felt full. The cost per person was 6,000 yen, plus a mandatory drink. The dishes I enjoyed were the sake-steamed seafood and the tuna, but I found the sea urchin to be bad—it tasted like it had been washed with water. The eel was unappetizing because the rice was mushy and unpleasant. The corn soup was also off-putting, resembling corn soup with an unpleasant texture since it hadn't been strained. Everything else was just average. I was shocked that, despite informing the restaurant about my friend's child's allergies to eggs and dairy, they still served a lot of dishes containing those allergens. Even after I told them I couldn’t have mayonnaise and they took it away, a dish of carrots with mayonnaise still came out. At the end, I asked if the black sesame ice cream for dessert contained dairy, but they just took it back to check and said they couldn't confirm, so they decided to remove it. I wish they hadn't served it in the first place, as there were no alternative options provided.

There are 9 counter seats and a private room at the back. The sushi was wonderfully chewy and very delicious! The sea urchin tasting was the best. The owner was friendly and easy to talk to. It seemed that about 70% of the customers were foreigners, and that day, everyone else at the counter besides us was from abroad. The selection of alcohol was on the limited side.

I came with someone I often appreciate. The meal begins with appetizers, followed by sashimi and other dishes in sequence. After comparing the three types of sea urchin, diners can choose their favorite, which will be used generously in a hand roll served at the end of the meal. The types of nigiri and individual dishes may vary each day, but they accommodate allergies. The restaurant has a counter-only seating arrangement and seems to attract many overseas tourists.

The course was plentiful, both in volume and variety ❤︎ Normally, it's a counter-style restaurant, but on this day, the counter was fully booked, so we enjoyed a private semi-room where we could indulge in our sushi without worrying about being watched. Each dish leading up to the sushi was satisfying in portion ❤︎ Of course, the sashimi was top-notch, and the sea urchin tasting was a luxurious experience. One of my favorites was the sushi served at the end, which included steamed clams in sake and delicious grilled herring that was tasty down to the bones ❤︎ The sushi itself was amazing, especially the tuna; the medium fatty tuna, fatty tuna, and toro-taku were absolutely delicious ❤️‍ There were also inbound visitors at the restaurant, and they were very accommodating with some rather difficult requests (though it seemed a bit challenging for them). The atmosphere was relaxed, so I think it's a place you can easily visit. ~~-—————————————~~ Instagram @sushi.ayatsuki 〒4-2 Taiyōji-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, 6F Daitetsu Taiyōji Building Hours: 17:00–23:00 daily, 12:00–15:00 on weekends and holidays Phone: 06-6379-5755 Access: - 15 minutes by Osaka Metro Midosuji Line from Tennoji to Umeda, 290 yen - 15–20 minutes by JR Loop Line from Tennoji to Osaka, 210 yen - 15 minutes by Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line from Tennoji/Abeno to Higashi-Umeda, 290 yen - About a 5-minute walk from M13 exit of Izumi-no-Hiroba If you see this, you’ll want to go! I made a reservation for lunch and visited for the first time! I had the lunch-only omakase sushi course priced at 6,000 yen, which was incredibly delicious and full of satisfying content—much more than you'd expect for that price! The course included sashimi of bluefin tuna and flounder from Tottori Prefecture, abalone with abalone liver sauce, and sushi featuring ingredients like Spanish mackerel, Omi shrimp with caviar from Shiga Prefecture, striped jack, medium-fatty tuna, red snapper, eel sushi, purple sea urchin from Miyagi Prefecture, and toro-taku (fatty tuna with pickled radish). The sushi was made using high-quality red vinegar from Minoh City and was absolutely delicious! We toasted with draft beer and also enjoyed a highball and a glass of white wine. The flavors and value were both excellent, and I definitely want to come back again! Thank you for the wonderful meal!
