I previously used Chiriri in Kyoto, and now that they have opened a location in Osaka, I decided to utilize it for a business dinner. When I made a reservation over the phone, I was asked about the purpose of my visit, and I mentioned it was for a business meeting. On the day of the visit, we were guided to a special room that you enter through a traditional sliding door, which had a beautiful mini garden inside. The atmosphere was fantastic. Instead of ordering their famous "tsuyu-shabu," we opted for a sukiyaki course. At this location, a staff member dressed in a kimono cooked the sukiyaki for us at the table, which was a lovely experience. The service, ambiance, and food were all excellent, and the staff showed great consideration. Thanks to their efforts, the guest I invited was very pleased.

The restaurant stands out as a calming presence amidst the noise. Upon entering, the din of the outside world disappears. I opted for a private room this time, which exceeded my expectations in terms of tranquility and privacy. I appreciated the prompt response to the "call bell" as well. First, I was served an appetizer and a sashimi three-types platter. Both were beautifully presented and skillfully prepared, with excellent sashimi freshness, raising my anticipation even higher. The "Baumkuchen Pork" gets its name from being raised on a diet that includes baumkuchen. This pork has even won the top award in the National Brand Pork Popularity Contest, making it perfect for shabu-shabu. I enjoyed this carefully selected pork in "tsuyu," a special five-layered Japanese broth. I was moved by the deliciousness of the broth! Adding condiments, the sweetness of the thinly sliced pork harmonized perfectly with the broth’s flavor. With this broth, I could eat as many vegetables as I wanted. The Omi Beef shabu-shabu featured the delicious "selected Omi Beef shoulder loin." The unique sweetness of the Omi Beef paired wonderfully with the tang of ponzu, resulting in an exquisite experience. The "Omi Beef nigiri sushi" was so beautifully presented that it felt almost too good to eat. By this point, I was already satisfied, yet my appetite stirred again. This sushi allowed me to fully savor the flavors of the Omi Beef. The meal concluded with "soba." Prepared using broth rich in meat flavors, enjoying it with the tsuyu made it outstanding. It became evident that this was a well-thought-out course. Even the final dessert was crafted without shortcuts, offering a refreshing and beautiful conclusion. The restaurant's serene atmosphere, along with its private rooms, makes it perfect for spending quality time, whether it's for dates, anniversaries, celebrations, or business meetings. With various courses available, I definitely want to visit again. I highly recommend saving this restaurant!⬇ ===========

I visited "Kyoto Tsuyu Shabu CHIRIRI Osaka Umeda Chayamachi," which opened in March this year, located near Umeda Station in Osaka. This time, I ordered the Hie Course (9,800 yen) that includes an appetizer, sashimi, shabu-shabu with special Omi beef shoulder loin, vegetables, ponzu sauce, sesame sauce, Omi beef sushi, udon, and dessert. The highlight of this luxurious course is the Omi beef shoulder loin, which is famous as one of Japan's top three wagyu beef varieties. The large slices of Omi beef shoulder loin are quickly cooked in the hot pot, and when dipped in the original ponzu or sesame sauce, the sweetness and umami of the meat explode in your mouth, melting away almost instantly. It’s incredibly delicious! After enjoying the shabu-shabu, the meal is rounded off with udon noodles and a dessert. The restaurant is only a 2-minute walk from Hankyu Umeda Station and features a calm atmosphere with Japanese decor and plenty of private dining rooms, making it perfect for dates or business meetings. If you want to go, don’t forget to save this post! ⚠️ ----------------------------------- Address: B1F Aprooze Tower, 19-19 Chayamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture Access: 2-minute walk from Hankyu Umeda Station Hours: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM Payment: Cards and QR available Thank you for reading to the end!

Check out my other posts! I'm Kanegon, indulging in gourmet food in Kansai! Please follow me! **Kyoto Tsuyushabu Chiriri Umeda Chayamachi** (Osaka, Umeda) Experience a luxurious atmosphere while enjoying shabu-shabu at a reasonable price. The course includes Omi beef sushi and shabu-shabu, served in a completely private room with attentive service. **Kanelog Rating: 4.4** ------------------------ **Menu Ordered** - Hiei Course: ¥9,800 ------------------------ **Taste** The meal started with a delicious white sesame tofu. Everything was tasty. The tuna sashimi was average, but the sea bream was incredibly rich and flavorful. The Omi beef sushi was cooked just enough on the surface, allowing for a good taste of the meat. The main shabu-shabu beef looked mouthwatering and had a refined balance of fat. The ponzu sauce was not too acidic and complemented the meat beautifully. I didn't particularly enjoy the sesame sauce with veggies, but it was excellent with the beef, making me a fan of sesame sauce. The vegetables were also tasty and the portion size was just right. **Service** The service was impeccable, provided by men in stylish white chef coats and women in kimonos. They were very considerate, making for a pleasant experience. **Overall Evaluation** It was a fantastic experience to enjoy shabu-shabu in a private room at leisure. I highly recommend it for special date nights or when you want something a bit more upscale. Dinner courses range from ¥6,800 to ¥13,000, so you can choose based on your preference. Next time, I plan to try the sukiyaki. They also offer lunch! Enjoying such a luxurious experience for ¥10,000 feels very reasonable. ------------------------ **Access** 5 minutes' walk from Osaka Umeda Station **Hours** 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM / 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM **Closed** None **Estimated Budget** Lunch: ¥2,500 - ¥6,000 Dinner: ¥7,000 - ¥13,000 ------------------------ #KyotoTsuyushabuCHIRIRI #Chiriri #Tsuyushabu #ShabuShabu #OsakaDate #OsakaGourmet #OsakaLunch #Kanelog #KanelogOsaka #Kanelog2024 #KanegonRecommended

Located just a 3-minute walk from the Hankyu Umeda Station's Chayamachi Exit, this restaurant is situated in the basement of the Applause Tower, right in front of the Umeda Arts Theater. Their signature dishes include "tsuyu shabu" made with Baumkuchen pork served with a five-layer dipping sauce, and "shabu shabu" featuring Omi beef enjoyed with ponzu sauce. The main restaurant is located in Marutamachi, Kyoto. The Baumkuchen pork, known as a premium product from the Omi region, is sweet and juicy. "Chiriri" is a dish that involves quickly dipping thinly sliced Baumkuchen pork into a hot pot and enjoying it with a flavorful Japanese dipping sauce, mixed with yuzu pepper and plenty of thinly sliced white leeks. The Japanese sauce is exquisite; I ended up finishing it all after the soba noodles. The Omi beef, particularly the shoulder loin, has a tender texture with just the right amount of marbling, melting in the mouth. Being a certified Omi beef restaurant makes all the difference, and it pairs perfectly with the ponzu sauce. The sashimi comes in large cuts and is delicious, while the meat sushi is generously thick with Omi beef, almost hiding the rice completely. For the final dish, they serve soba noodles originating from the Omi region, boiled for 4 minutes from dried noodles. The dipping sauce of the tsuyu shabu complements the soba beautifully.

To avoid the hectic year-end rush, I had an early year-end party with friends at the Kyoto Tsuyushabu Chiriri Umeda Chayamachi, located in the basement of the Hankyu International Hotel. The entrance has a beautiful and stylish Japanese aesthetic. We took off our shoes and entered a refined and beautiful tatami-mat interior, settling into a private table room. Cheers to our hard work this year! My friend tried the Master’s Dream (draft beer) for the first time and said it was very delicious, while I opted for oolong tea. We enjoyed the "Hiei" course of shabu-shabu featuring "Omi beef," one of Japan’s three major brands of wagyu beef. The meal included: ◇ Appetizer: Persimmon with white miso ◇ Sashimi ◇ Shabu-shabu: ・Selected Omi beef shoulder loin ・Vegetables ・Ponzu sauce ・Sesame sauce ◇ Omi beef sushi ◇ Udon ◇ Dessert: Milk pudding The appetizer really highlighted the autumn season with the persimmon dish, which I love! The sashimi was delightful, and then the stunning Omi beef arrived. The marbling was just perfect. I always pair shabu-shabu with sesame sauce, and the beef was tender and melted in my mouth—it was so delicious I could have eaten ten plates! For the vegetables, I prefer them with ponzu sauce. The flat noodles (kuzu cut) were also delicious. The Omi beef sushi had a roast beef-like taste, and it paired well with wasabi. As for the udon, I enjoyed it with sesame sauce; it was chewy and very filling. The milk pudding for dessert was subtly sweet, making it suitable for everyone, including men. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to enjoy delicious meat in a quiet private room. This place would be perfect for anniversaries or celebratory meals. I heard that reservations for the year-end are coming in, but they also have large rooms for group events. There were many foreign guests, which is nice because it allows them to savor Japan’s delicious meat. It was truly delicious, and I would love to visit again—maybe for the New Year party!

Recently, I finally visited the extremely popular restaurant "Kyoto Tsuyushabu CHIRIRI" in the Umeda area that many followers have been talking about. I've been really interested in it! This place is gaining attention not only for dinner but also for lunch, and it's been on my mind for a while, so I was thrilled to finally go. ⬜︎ I ordered the Hiei Shabu-Shabu Course (9,800 yen) for two, which included: - Appetizer (Persimmon salad) - Sashimi (Tuna and sea bream) - Shabu-shabu with selected Omi beef shoulder loin (150g), vegetable platter, ponzu sauce, and sesame sauce - Omi beef sushi - Udon - Dessert (Milk pudding) ⬜︎ Drinks: - Masters Dream beer (800 yen) - Peach sour (750 yen) - 2 Ken (whiskey highball) (600 yen each) Since I had work, I made a reservation for 20:00 but arrived at 19:00—way too early! But being in Umeda, it was no problem to kill some time. The restaurant has a luxurious vibe right from the exterior, and upon entering, there’s a glass facade. You’re greeted by a prominent blue leopard. The place definitely exudes sophistication. On that day, there was a large party of affluent-looking guests from China. We were shown to a private room, which was spacious enough for two and had a fantastic atmosphere. The course meal was delicious from the very first appetizer, and the sashimi was beautiful and incredibly fresh. The Omi beef sushi was an impressive highlight for our hungry stomachs. Then, we eagerly awaited the main event: the shabu-shabu. The vegetables were beautifully arranged, and the meat looked amazing. I was taken aback by the marbling of the Omi beef. Initially, I thought the portion seemed small, but one piece of meat turned out to be quite big and filling. I learned from the staff that it was 150g of meat per person—what a delight! I couldn’t wait and dived straight into the meat, forgetting the vegetables. Honestly… wow, it was just too good! The fat was sweet, and the rich flavor of the tender meat filled my mouth. My friend joked, "You won't need teeth for this." Moreover, the ponzu sauce served for the shabu-shabu was incredibly delicious. While the sesame sauce pairs well with some meats, we both agreed that the ponzu was the best match! The amount of vegetables was more than enough for the two of us, and they were fresh and crisp. There were even instructions on the order and timing of adding the vegetables, which enhanced the experience even more. (Following the instructions really pays off!) Personally, I’m definitely a sesame sauce fan when it comes to vegetables. For the finale, we enjoyed perfectly cooked udon made with the broth infused with the flavors of the meat and vegetables. Combining ponzu and sesame sauce created a "ponzu-sesame sauce," and adding some condiments made it incredibly delicious. My friend and I finished it off instantly! Everything was so tasty that I couldn’t stop drinking! At that point, I had already consumed three drinks! Where was my goal to reduce alcohol intake? It just paired so well with the food! Finally, we enjoyed the handmade desserts from CHIRIRI, creating a colorful and elegant end to our meal. In the end, I understand why so many people rave about this place. If you're looking for delicious shabu-shabu and a luxurious atmosphere in the Umeda area, I highly recommend this amazing spot. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a restaurant where I could enjoy shabu-shabu with Omi beef and carefully selected pork. The interior had a traditional Japanese style and a sense of luxury. I ordered a course called Hiei for 9,800 yen. The luxurious shabu-shabu made with Omi beef was delicious. I also had sashimi and Omi beef nigiri, and for the finish, I enjoyed soba noodles, leaving me completely satisfied!

I went in feeling quite hungry, but I ended up really full. The green onions for the shabu-shabu were great. I think it’s better to eat the beef shabu first because I felt a bit heavy in the second half. Haha. I used this place for a date, and we were able to relax in a private room. The dividers between the rooms aren't very thick, so I could hear the voices from next door, but it didn’t bother me. The staff were also very nice. I was satisfied with my experience. I recommend it to those who want to take their time. Since I left some food uneaten, I think a slightly lower-ranked course would have been sufficient.

You can enjoy Japan's three main types of Wagyu beef, "Omi Beef," at a reasonable price in dishes like sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. The "tsuyu shabu" lunch is ¥2,500 and includes Kyoto pork, a five-stage simmered broth, vegetables, Omi rice, soba, and dessert (warabi mochi). The restaurant offers a chance to savor high-quality pork combined with their homemade broth, and the shabu-shabu with plenty of green onions in the broth was incredibly delicious. The soba served at the end was also delightful, and the warabi mochi dessert was pleasantly chewy and tasty. It was a thoroughly satisfying lunch. The establishment boasts an elegant ambiance that embodies Japanese culture, with a shoeless-invite approach. The private rooms are spacious and comfortable, making it ideal for special occasions such as business meetings or anniversaries.

A restaurant has opened on the first basement level of the Hankyu International's Applause Tower. Although the inside is not visible from the outside, once you enter, you find a spacious tatami room with tables lined up in a luxurious Japanese-style setting where you can take off your shoes. I had the "tsuyushabu sushi lunch." The scallions that can be refilled, when wrapped in the meat, provide a crunchy texture. The soba noodles at the end are served in the broth made from the vegetables and meat. I enjoyed every bite until the very end.

Indulging in luxurious shabu-shabu in a sophisticated environment! ✊✨✨ Starting with a beautifully presented appetizer and sashimi served in a layered box, we enjoyed the shabu-shabu, Omi beef nigiri, udon, and dessert. I had the Hiei course featuring A5-ranked special Omi beef shoulder loin. The rich umami of the meat—almost like sweetness—filled my mouth with happiness. The flavorful sesame sauce and ponzu were both amazing, making it hard to choose a favorite. I think eating it with sesame ponzu was the best choice (◠‿◠)✌ (a bit greedy). It's wonderful to have a private room where we could enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace! Being close to the station makes it convenient for business lunches and gatherings too! 🎉

The restaurant is located on the basement floor of the Chayamachi Arts Theater, and has a stylish exterior that seems perfect for business meetings and dining. The interior exudes a luxurious ambiance, featuring a wide range of private rooms to accommodate various group sizes. I enjoyed a 2500 yen lunch, which started with an appetizer and was structured as a course meal. The Kyoto pork was beautifully presented and delicious, and the soba and dessert at the end were truly authentic. The cost performance is incredibly impressive. Overall, I thought it was a wonderful restaurant.

This restaurant has no shortcomings in flavor, atmosphere, cost performance, service, or drinks! 💖 While visiting Osaka with two other girls, we were looking for a place for lunch and decided on this one. From the exterior, there's an impressive sense of luxury, yet the lunch menu is surprisingly affordable! The interior has a calming "Japanese" vibe. All the dishes were delicious, and we ended up fighting over them (laughs). The staff was friendly and wonderful too! (*^^*) I believe this is a place you could confidently invite anyone to. If I go to Osaka again, I'll definitely visit! Thank you for the meal!

I went on a girls' trip to Osaka and visited Tsuyushabu CHIRIRI in Umeda Chayamachi for a tsuyushabu lunch. I enjoyed Kyoto pork, a five-stage seasoned broth, a variety of vegetables, Omi rice, soba, and dessert. The Kyoto pork had a refined taste, allowing me to fully appreciate the delicious flavors of the meat. Just a quick dip in the broth gave the meat an abundance of flavor! The five-stage seasoned broth was impressively delicious, complementing both the meat and vegetables perfectly, along with the soba for a satisfying finish. This was my first experience with tsuyushabu, and it was consistently delicious throughout. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly. I definitely want to visit again!

For a small trip, I chose this place for lunch. Given that it's in the Chayamachi area, I expected a youthful vibe, but I was surprised to find an interior exuding a luxurious ambiance reminiscent of a traditional Kyoto inn as soon as I opened the door. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the private room was lovely! I enjoyed the famous "tsuyu-shabu" lunch course for 2,500 yen, and I couldn't believe how reasonably priced it was for the quality. I left feeling completely full. The hospitality of the female staff in kimono was perfect, allowing us to chat freely without worrying about others around us, making for a truly wonderful time. Although this was a casual lunch course, I would highly recommend this place for business meetings or formal gatherings like pre-wedding introductions. It’s a fantastic restaurant!

At Kyoto Tsuyushabu CHIRIRI in Umeda, Osaka, I enjoyed a luxurious and unforgettable Tsuyushabu experience. Limited to only five groups a day, the “Sazanka” course is priced at 8,800 yen (tax included) and includes: ⚫︎ Appetizer ⚫︎ Sashimi ⚫︎ Tsuyushabu - Baumkuchen Pork Belly - Tsuyu (sauce) - Vegetables ⚫︎ Omi Beef Shabu-Shabu - Specially Selected Omi Beef Shoulder Roast - Ponzu Sauce ⚫︎ Omi Beef Nigiri Sushi ⚫︎ Soba ⚫︎ Dessert The Baumkuchen Pork creates a beautiful moment when dipped in hot water, resembling a flower blooming as it cooks. The five-layered Japanese-style broth has a refreshing yuzu aroma combined with plenty of white leeks, resulting in a slightly sweet and melt-in-your-mouth experience. The specially selected Omi Beef Shabu-Shabu, enjoyed with ponzu sauce, features beautifully marbled meat that melts in your mouth as soon as you taste it. Both the Baumkuchen Pork and Omi Beef Shabu-Shabu are exquisite dishes. For the finale, I enjoyed Omi-originated soba noodles served steaming. The dessert, a milk pudding, had a delicate flavor, allowing me to spend a special moment at this restaurant. The location is on the basement level of the Umeda Chayamachi Applause Tower. The staff in traditional attire welcomes you, providing attentive service in a refined private room where you can relax and enjoy your meal. The seasonal arrangement of moss plum adds to the ambiance, making it a perfect choice for business meetings, anniversaries, or celebrations with important people.

This restaurant is located on the first basement level of the Applause Tower in Umeda, Chayamachi. Upon entering the establishment, you are greeted by a gold folding screen and a large ikebana arrangement. You will be shown to a private dining room. We enjoyed the "Tsu-Yu Shabu and Omi Beef Comparison" Sazanka course, which included an appetizer, sashimi, Baumkuchen pork belly, selected Omi beef shoulder loin, vegetables, Omi beef sushi, soba noodles, and dessert. For the shabu-shabu, there are two types of dipping sauces: ponzu and a savory broth. It is recommended to add plenty of green onions to the broth. When I tried the pork shabu-shabu with lots of green onions in the broth, the crunchiness of the onions complemented the dish beautifully and tasted amazing. This place has a luxurious and calm atmosphere, making it perfect for enjoying a quiet meal. Thank you for the delicious experience! ❤️

Here we are, in Osaka. I stumbled upon this place for lunch. The atmosphere is so charming that I almost felt like I was in a Kyoto ryotei (traditional inn). The private tatami rooms are perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The staff in kimono are delightful and provide wonderful service. Honestly, considering the ambiance, I wondered if the price was too good to be true! I had the Kyoto pork with five-layered broth, seasonal vegetables, Omi rice, soba, and dessert all for 2500 yen. I also ordered a separate Masters Dream and Premium Malt's beer. I expected the meal to end with udon, but it turned out to be soba! As a soba lover, this was an unexpected delight. The Kyoto pork was exquisitely delicious. It was well-marbled, and just a couple of swishes in the broth transformed it into a flavor-packed meat experience. You can see how to eat it in the attached photos. You can enjoy the pork first by itself and then wrap the vegetables around it for an added flavor boost. It’s definitely a healthy option and left me feeling full. The drinks were all meticulously selected, and I was thrilled to find my favorite, Masters Dream. I left the lunch feeling extremely satisfied and will definitely be returning for dinner next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The restaurant is located on the basement floor of the Umeda Chayamachi Applause Tower and has a wonderfully calm Japanese atmosphere. An artistic black leopard welcomes you at the entrance. You enter without shoes, and the shoe locker with a cute bell adds to the charm. I ordered the "tsuyu-shabu" lunch, which includes Kyoto pork, a special five-layer dipping sauce, a selection of vegetables, Omi rice, soba noodles, and dessert. While most people imagine shabu-shabu with ponzu sauce, here you dip the ingredients into a flavorful broth. The Kyoto pork, known for its beautiful pink color and light fat, is sliced very thinly. Once the meat is cooked to a delicate finish, it's ready to eat, and the term "chiriri," meaning lightly cooked, adds a touch of cuteness. It was amazing when combined with the special five-layer dipping sauce and lots of flavorful yuzu chili and white onion. The incredibly thin meat is very tender and light, melting in your mouth. You also add plenty of vegetables to eat alongside the pork, making the meal quite healthy. The glossy Omi rice is sweet, and it pairs perfectly with the broth, making you want to eat more. For the finale, I enjoyed soba noodles that were infused with the pork's delicious flavors. The dessert, matcha jelly, was refreshing and silky smooth. Dining in a private room allowed us to enjoy the meal at a leisurely pace, and the attentive service from the staff in traditional attire was a lovely touch.
