Fish, fish, fish~♪ When you eat fish~♪ Your brain, brain, brain~♪ Becomes smarter~♪ Fish, fish, fish~♪ When you eat fish~♪ Your body, body, body~♪ It's good for your body~♪ So come on, let's all eat fish~♪ The fish are waiting for us♪ (Oh!) So, I had been planning to come here for a while, and I finally made it. As soon as I sat at the counter, they brought me water and a wet towel. Both the owner and a female staff member, who didn't seem to be the wife, were welcoming from the moment I entered. The female staff member had a good smile and I thought I could enjoy my meal in a relaxed atmosphere, but she was standing on the other side of the counter, which made eye contact a bit awkward and created a slight tension. The tidy interior was well maintained and had a calm atmosphere. For lunch today, I chose the sashimi set for 1000 yen, the grilled miso-marinated tilefish for 800 yen, and half-dried Pacific herring for 700 yen. I decided to go with the grilled miso-marinated tilefish instead of the sashimi set, even though it was tempting. The tilefish had good fat content, the miso flavor was just right, and it was delicious. However, the main piece of tilefish was not very big, so even though rice refills were free, I wished the main dish was a bit larger. The size was a bit small, but the seasoning was excellent. The small side dishes, like appetizers, were both delicious and perfect for accompanying drinks. The asparagus in one of the small dishes had a soy sauce-based seasoning and was very tasty. The half of a cherry tomato surprisingly had squid, shrimp, and baby scallop inside, providing various textures and flavors. The clam and scallop roe were firm and well-seasoned, making them perfect for accompanying sake or shochu. The miso soup had a good dashi flavor but surprisingly lacked a strong seafood taste. It contained sliced burdock root, tofu, green onions, and seaweed, providing a well-balanced soup. The rice was okay, and the pickled radish was salty, so one piece was enough. They regularly refilled my water, but I thought it would be nice to have coffee after the meal. ☆☆☆Preview for the next visit☆☆☆ It seems a bit expensive for dinner, but I might want to try the sashimi set for lunch and experience a fish paradise.
