We have visited one of the last three remaining top 100 Kansai yakitori restaurants, but this time we decided to visit a talented and up-and-coming designer whose work has gained national attention. The restaurant had a cute entrance with a traditional Japanese house atmosphere. We ordered the yakitori course with an additional request for ostrich sashimi. Here are some highlights of the meal: - Red hot pot: A spicy vegetable hot pot made with chicken bone broth and gochujang, which was just the right level of spiciness. - Thigh: A selection of three types of chicken thighs, each with its own unique flavor and texture. - Hand-pulled chicken heart: The sauce was delicious and the dish was a standout. - Skin: Various types of chicken skin grilled to perfection. - Breast of Rokkaku Daio: A dish with a crunchy texture that was the favorite of the day. - Kyoto red chicken sandzuri: Perfectly seasoned with salt. - Rokkaku Daio negima: A dish with a delicate sauce and juicy flavor. - Chicken skewers: Delicious, but I prefer them with just salt. - Tsukune: Served with demi-glace sauce, a must-try. - Ostrich sashimi platter: A selection of different cuts of ostrich sashimi with various toppings. - Raclette cheese: A must-try with fluffy soft bread and melted cheese. - Esophagus (limited quantity): A must-order for yakitori lovers, with a unique texture and flavor. Overall, the restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious, making it a recommended spot for a mature and sophisticated dining experience.

We enjoyed yakitori for the first time since last November at "Yakitori Enami" in Nishitenma with three friends. We gathered at the local time at 6:00 pm and visited "Yakitori Yu" in Gawayamachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka, which feels like a time slip back to the Showa era with its antique decorations. We were guided to a heavy single-board counter lined with antique ornaments, and we had the following: - Drinks: - The Premium Malt's draft beer 550 yen - Lemon Highball 450 yen - Mugi shochu with lemon pulp: Hyakunen no Kodoku on the rocks 1100 yen - Omakase course 4400 yen: - Assorted skewers including chicken tataki, ostrich liver, Kagoshima and Nara chicken, salt-grilled chicken wings, spiced chicken wings, Kagoshima Chiran Rokkaku Daioh chicken breast, Kyoto Akadori chicken gizzard, Hyogo Momohi chicken heart, and more. - Additional order: - Chicken white broth ramen for sharing 780 yen We started with a toast with draft beer, watching the owner carefully grill each skewer on Miyazaki Hinata Binchotan charcoal. The spiced chicken wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, truly delicious. While all the skewers were tasty, the "tsukune" that came last was exceptional. It was simmered in broth, then charcoal-grilled, topped with a rich sauce and an onsen egg, and when you take a bite, the juicy yolk oozes out, making your cheeks drop. For the finale, we couldn't decide between the chicken rice and chicken white broth ramen, so we ordered both by paying an additional fee. This decision was spot on, as the ramen at a yakitori restaurant was undeniably delicious. With its great value and high quality, we have decided to revisit. Thank you for the meal! (●^o^●)

I visited "Yakitori Yu" in Tanamachi 9-chome for the first time. This restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 yakitori restaurants in Japan. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, with a layout resembling a private home. We ordered the premium all-you-can-drink course (6,900 yen) this time, which included a variety of dishes such as chicken sashimi, assorted skewers, chicken broth ramen, and a dessert. The skewers were cooked perfectly, especially the delicious tsukune. The drink selection was great, and we enjoyed switching to sake during the course. The finale of chewy ramen with flavorful chicken broth was fantastic. The atmosphere, service, and timing of the dishes were all excellent. Overall, a reasonably priced and delicious yakitori restaurant!

I discovered a restaurant on Tabelog that has been selected as one of the top 100 yakitori restaurants, and they offer a course with all-you-can-drink option, which is great because I like to drink a lot! I made a reservation easily through Tabelog about 3 weeks in advance, and when I arrived on Saturday at 6:30 pm, it was fully booked. I was seated at the counter. I ordered the premium all-you-can-drink course for 6900 yen, but it's 4400 yen without the drinks. The course menu included appetizers, chicken skewers, a choice between chicken rice or chicken broth ramen, and a seasonal sherbet for dessert. The skewers were all delicious, cooked over charcoal, and made with high-quality local chicken. The appetizer had chicken sashimi with thigh meat, breast meat, liver, and vegetables. The skewers included thigh meat, breast meat, wing tips, tail sand skewer, liver, skin, neck, and a special one with sea urchin. The staff explained each skewer as they served them. For the finale, I chose the chicken rice, and for dessert, I had yuzu sherbet. I ended up drinking 7-8 glasses of alcohol, and I was very satisfied with the experience. I highly recommend this place for those who want to have a nice yakitori meal and drink a lot. The only regret I had was not choosing the ramen for the finale, as many other customers did. Next time, I'll definitely go for the ramen. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Yakitori Yu is a yakitori restaurant located an 8-10 minute walk from Tanimachi Kyuchome Station. It used to operate on a membership basis, but now it has opened up to the public. The restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 yakitori restaurants in 2023. When you enter the restaurant through the low entrance, you'll find a cozy interior with a traditional Japanese house feel, creating a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy drinks. Despite feeling a bit nervous at first due to its previous membership system, the owner and staff were all friendly, making the dining experience enjoyable. We tried the 4,400 yen omakase course, which started with various dishes like grilled chicken thigh, chicken breast sashimi, creamy chicken liver, and fluffy egg custard. The course continued with a variety of delicious yakitori skewers, such as the juicy chicken wings, tender chicken breast, and flavorful chicken liver. We also enjoyed unique items like the sea urchin-flavored chicken tenderloin and the chewy cartilage skewer. The course even included a satisfying chicken broth ramen with medium noodles. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food we received for the price. Yakitori Yu has a casual atmosphere that is perfect for gatherings, so I highly recommend paying a visit. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Yakitori WEST, selected as one of the top 100 restaurants in Western Japan in the Tabelog rankings for 2023, ranked 29th out of 100. The overall Tabelog rating is 3.70. Visit Date: September 2, 2023, Saturday, 7:30 PM Ordered Items: - Chef's Course x2 (4,400 yen each) - Local Chicken Sashimi: liver, breast, thigh - Assorted skewers: thigh, tenderloin, wing tip, gizzard, heart, liver, skin, cartilage, tenderloin with sea urchin, tsukune - Choice of rice cooked in a pot or chicken white broth ramen - Yuzu sherbet - Tsuruume yuzu sake (750 yen) - Oolong tea (350 yen) Reservations fill up quickly on weekends, so I made a reservation 18 days in advance through Tabelog's online booking system for the 7:30 PM slot. The restaurant has a charming exterior and interior, creating a fantastic atmosphere. I was seated at the counter right in front of the grilling station, allowing me to witness the skilled chefs in action up close. The chicken used in the dishes comes from various regions, with each type explained by the staff. The sashimi portion was smaller compared to other restaurants' sashimi platters costing thousands of yen, but the taste was quite good. The grilled items were cooked to perfection, with a good balance of cooking level and meat quality. One dish that felt a bit unbalanced was the "tsukune," which tasted more like a hamburger than chicken meatballs, and the soy sauce was a bit spicy. The "sea urchin-topped chicken breast" also didn't seem to complement each other well. However, aside from these two points, everything else was excellent. For the finale, I chose the rice cooked in a pot, which was filling enough for two servings. The service was very polite, and even during the closing hours, the chefs personally bid farewell to each guest, which was a nice touch. The restaurant offers great value for money, a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and satisfying food. If you enjoy drinking, the all-you-can-drink option for 2,500 yen on top of the course meal (4,400 yen) could be a great deal, allowing you to enjoy quality grilled chicken and drinks in a lovely setting.

I have my own favorite yakitori spot, but lately there are so many new places popping up that I've been trying out different ones. This particular place used to be a members-only establishment. Overall, the yakitori was a bit unevenly cooked, so I wonder if they weren't taking it too seriously. The staff in the dining area was disappointing.

The price of 4400 yen is very reasonable. The chicken sashimi served at the beginning of the course was fresh, and the various types of grilled chicken, each carefully grilled one by one, were delicious. The alcohol poured down the throat along with the food provided a decent volume, and by the end, I was already full. However, I was a bit disappointed with the taste of the draft beer. It was a bit hard to find the entrance to the restaurant. For the finale, you can choose between kamameshi and chicken paitan ramen, but it's a shame that you have to stick to one option for the finale. Nevertheless, if I ever come back to Osaka, I would definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Today we visited a yakitori restaurant in Osaka that has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. We tried the course with all-you-can-drink for 6,900 yen, which was surprisingly cost-effective. We made a reservation for the weekend and started with beer and then moved on to cold sake. Here is what we had: - Chicken sashimi with a salad - Grilled chicken thigh skewers (two types: local brand and Nagoya Cochin) - Grilled chicken breast skewers (local brand) - Grilled chicken heart with a sweet sauce - Grilled chicken gizzard with a strong flavor - Grilled chicken liver - Grilled chicken wings without bones - Grilled chicken tail with sauce - Grilled chicken cartilage - Grilled chicken breast with sea urchin - Chicken meatball with egg yolk - Chicken broth ramen - Yuzu sherbet They served a variety of local chicken from their own brand, "Rokkaku Daimao," and provided excellent service to all customers, including newcomers. The bill was surprisingly low at only 6,900 yen, even after having three beers and plenty of cold sake. The drink menu for the all-you-can-drink option included a wide range of drinks, from sake like Sawaya Matsumoto to whiskey and a variety of wines. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Here, I visited a traditional-style yakitori restaurant called 22 in Osaka Chuo-ku as part of my Kansai Top 100 Stores tour using the Tabelog online reservation system on a weekday evening. I opted for the omakase course priced at 4,400 yen, along with two alcoholic drinks. The omakase course included a chicken salad, 10 skewers of yakitori, and a final meal, offering great value for money. The quality of each yakitori skewer was impressive, especially those made with their in-house brand chicken called Rokkaku Daimao, as well as Nagoya Cochin and Tanba chickens. The "sasami topped with sea urchin" and "tsukune" skewers were particularly delicious. It's a very welcoming and cozy restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

Note: I tried the 4400 yen omakase course. Honestly, I never really noticed much difference when eating yakitori before, but this place was exceptional and delicious. They use a chicken called Rokkaku Daimao, and the cooking was perfect. The egg was also a bonus, as it was the type I like. If I eat yakitori in Osaka in the future, I will definitely come back here.

This place is so famous for yakitori in Osaka. It was my first visit since they stopped the membership system, making it easier to go. From the storefront to the interior design, and each dish, everything is meticulously crafted. The course meal I had was amazing, with the final dish of kamameshi being a great value for the price. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The service was pleasant, and the taste was very satisfying. The chicken broth ramen at the end was even better than expected, it was incredibly delicious and a dish that could stand on its own. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. The only downside is that the entrance is ridiculously small. I bumped into it pretty hard on my way out because I was drunk!

I visited a hidden gem yakitori restaurant. The atmosphere inside was calm, and the staff were polite. The yakitori I ordered had a simple yet rich flavor that brought out the quality of the ingredients, with a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Each skewer was well-balanced, and the homemade sauce was exquisite. The lineup of Japanese sake offered here was also extensive and paired perfectly with the yakitori. The reasonable pricing was also a great feature.

The restaurant is located about a 7-8 minute walk southeast from Exit 7 of Nagahoribashi Station on the Osaka Metro. Upon entering the restaurant, we were seated at the counter and toasted with a plain shochu highball. We opted for the chef's choice course, which included dishes like grilled chicken sashimi with six different cuts, camel liver, and various skewers such as chicken thigh, wing, and heart. The meats were grilled to perfection, offering a delicious combination of flavors and textures. We also enjoyed Maker's Mark highball and sweet potato shochu on the side. The meal ended with a choice of chicken rice or chicken broth, and we chose the former. The mini pot rice was flavorful with chicken, mushrooms, burdock, and carrots. For dessert, we had yuzu sherbet, which was refreshing and a perfect way to end the meal. The cozy atmosphere, delicious dishes, and overall experience made it a memorable dining experience. We look forward to making a reservation and returning in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The next day, I visited a restaurant in Osaka for work, known for its unique atmosphere and large portions of udon noodles. It was quite a walk from Temmabashi Station to get there. The entrance door was low, so I had to crouch down to enter. I sat at the counter and was served the Premium All-You-Can-Drink Course, which included sashimi, chicken breast, various chicken dishes, and chicken ramen. The restaurant used a special brand of chicken called "Satsuma Kyokkoku" from Kagoshima, as well as other types of chicken. The meat was flavorful and had a good texture, making it satisfying to eat. For dessert, I had to choose between rice cooked in a pot and chicken ramen, and I reluctantly chose the ramen. The original noodles were delicious, better than your average ramen shop. Currently, the restaurant has a rating of 3.71 on Tabelog.

With the exterior resembling an old folk house, the anticipation grew as I entered through the low door. Inside, the charming old folk house atmosphere continued, and I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu when I requested all-you-can-drink. Starting with a highball, I then decided to indulge in red wine. The first dish, featuring two chunks of chicken thigh skewered - one from Nagoya Cochin and the other from Daisen chicken, left me amazed. The rare cuts of skewered meats that followed, including spiced chicken wings, breast meat, chicken tenderloin, and more, were all surprisingly delicious. The tataki of Daisen chicken was particularly outstanding. For the finale, I debated between ramen and kamameshi but ultimately chose the latter, which also turned out to be exceptionally delicious. However, I couldn't help but be curious about the chicken white broth ramen. I now have a strong reason to visit this wonderful restaurant again in the future. This place far exceeded the expectations of a typical yakitori restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

★Located about a 10-minute walk from Tachikokucho 9-chome, a bit far. ★The atmosphere feels somewhat exclusive, but casual. ★The premium all-you-can-drink course with food is priced at 6,900 yen (tax included). "100 Years of Solitude" means one drink per person. When it comes to yakitori, the unanimous favorite among our group of 6 was the thigh meat. While I personally found everything to be delicious, my friends seemed to know of even tastier places overall.

I visited this restaurant about a month ago for the first time and was shocked by how delicious the food was. My sister was visiting Osaka, so I decided to go back with her. Last time, I ordered the ladies' course, but this time I went for the 4400 yen course, which was different in terms of menu and portion size. The ladies' course was cheaper but had more variety and a larger portion. I was a bit disappointed. The food was still tasty, but it didn't seem as special as before. The meat was slightly overcooked, and the soba noodles were too hard and had a strong wheat smell. The soup was also lukewarm. Overall, it was good but not as impressive as my first visit.
