After having a meal in Atsukeshi on October 26th, I headed towards Lake Akan. While driving on Route 241 towards Lake Akan, I saw a sign for "Honey Royal Jelly Entrance." I had always been curious about it, so I decided to stop by today. As I drove up the dirt road, I could see a building with a blue roof in the distance. Two dogs greeted me wagging their tails as I approached. I seem to get along well with dogs (´艸`) I wondered if it was okay to be here, but the front door was open, and a friendly man welcomed me in. The shelves were filled with various bottles of honey, but the names were unfamiliar to me (bitter smile). The owner kindly explained each one to me. I decided to buy "Shina" and "Hyakka" as souvenirs for my family, and said, "I'll come again," before heading to the hot springs. When I got home and saw that the lady of the house wasn't there, I left the honey on the table. When I looked up the bee farm on my PC, I found a review saying that the taste of the pure honey carefully extracted there was "exquisite." Since they also sell directly from their home, the prices are 20-30% cheaper than market prices, so I recommend stopping by on your trip to Eastern Hokkaido. This bee farm in Naka-Atsukeshi has been around for 40 years. Now I'm curious about the lady of the house's reaction.
