I visited a restaurant that I had been curious about, as I saw on Facebook that they had started lunch service during these times. The restaurant is called Izakaya Hatsune. The parking lot is located behind the restaurant, accessible through a narrow road next to the establishment. Inside, there are about 6 or 7 counter seats and enough table seats for 6 people, creating a cozy atmosphere. Due to social distancing measures, I opted for a table seat instead of the counter. The lunch menu (12:00-16:00) was displayed near the window, listing items such as Spicy Miso Ramen for 900 yen, Miso Ramen for 800 yen, Soy Sauce Ramen for 750 yen, Salt Ramen for 750 yen, Pork Bowl for 850 yen, Pork Cutlet Curry for 950 yen, Hamburg Curry for 850 yen, Curry Rice for 750 yen, Grilled Gyoza for 500 yen, and Rice for 150 yen. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen for 900 yen and Soy Sauce Ramen for 750 yen, along with Grilled Gyoza for 500 yen. The food arrived in about 8 minutes. The soup had a rich pork bone base (possibly with chicken bones too) with a slightly salty taste. The noodles were just right in terms of firmness, made by Ebetsu Kikusui. The toppings included 2 slices of tender Katsuo pork belly, bamboo shoots, seaweed, gluten, seaweed, green onions, and white sesame seeds. The Katsuo pork belly was so tender that it would make a great side dish for sake! The gyoza had a powerful and juicy filling with garlic and other aromatic vegetables. The Spicy Miso Ramen had a mild spiciness, almost like eating gyoza. The restaurant, Izakaya Hatsune, has a long history as it was opened in 1972, and it has recently returned to its roots due to the current emergency situation. They offer takeout for ramen and have expanded their curry menu. The owner is a fan of Shogo Hamada for 40 years, with his autograph and a photo of Yoshida Rui displayed in the restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience, and I recommend visiting for a delicious meal. They accept PayPay. It has been about a week since my visit, and they were planning to continue lunch service until the end of the month.
