I posted a picture of a croissant on Instagram and the president of a horse racing-related company in Hidaka recommended me another shop. I visited the shop, which had a small interior but a variety of charming breads. The atmosphere was pleasant. Croissant made with fermented butter was priced at 240 yen, smoked bacon & cream cheese at 380 yen, anchovy garlic at 250 yen, and red bean paste bun at 130 yen. The croissant had a fine and beautiful texture, with a delightful aroma of fermented butter and wheat, and a subtle salty taste that added to its balance. The smoked bacon & cream cheese was delicious, as seen in the picture. The crust was also well done, with a nice touch of salt. The anchovy garlic had a bold and flavorful garlic and oil taste, with a strong saltiness that paired well with wine. I did not provide feedback on the red bean paste bun as it was a souvenir. Overall, I really liked it and would visit frequently if it were closer.

The croissant was delicious, but I think it would be even better with a little more butter. The pain au chocolat had a strong chocolate flavor and was the best among the ones I bought this time. The mayo corn bread lacked a strong mayo flavor and was a bit bland, but still tasty. The bread was fluffy and delicious. The service was good.

One of my favorite bakeries in Sapporo is Lilac Bake. They offer stylish and delicious bread. Although they didn't have it today, my favorite is the red bean butter sandwich! Where is your favorite bakery? #Hokkaido #Sapporo #bakery #LilacBake

I went to this bakery located along the tram street to buy bread for lunch on a holiday. Every day they post on Instagram starting with "Good evening". In Hokkaido, there are people who say "Good evening" instead of "Good evening". Probably elderly people? Well, in any case, I was checking out their Instagram that starts with a familiar phrase. The store is very small so I couldn't take photos, but they had a variety of breads from hard breads to deli breads, and sweet breads. On this day, I was aiming for the "Strawberry CUBE" that I found on Instagram. I also bought bread for the next morning. The Strawberry CUBE is a sweet bread with brioche dough filled with white bean paste and dried strawberries, topped with white chocolate. The gentle sweetness of the white bean paste and the acidity of the strawberries are well balanced. The croissant dough corone-like bread has pistachio cream inside, and the crispy texture of the bread dough is wonderful. Similarly, the croissant-like Tomato Curry is a fried bread with a slightly sweet and gentle acidity curry inside. All of them showed a high quality of workmanship with very careful attention to texture. I would like to revisit on a holiday to enjoy a luxurious bread lunch again. Thank you for the meal~

I found this bakery by chance while cycling, and it turned out to be very delicious. The small shop is packed with a variety of mouth-watering bread, making me want to come back again and again. The croissants were especially delicious.

The butter red bean bread at Lilac Bake near the Yamabana tram stop is truly delicious! The croissants are also tasty, making it one of my favorite bakeries in the Yamabana area! #Hokkaido #Bread #Sapporo #LilacBake #ButterRedBeanBread

Today, the streetcar was free for unlimited rides, so I went out with my friends to explore bakeries. We set a tough rule of only buying 2 items per bakery (because there's a limit to how much we can freeze...), and one of the places we visited was Lilac Bake, marked by a red sign that momentarily made us think it was a seal shop. The small shop was quite cozy, and when the three of us entered, it felt pretty full. Although they didn't have a wide variety of bread, there were many cute and delicious-looking pastries on display. I was interested in a muffin that was generously topped with biscuits, but I was more drawn to the products using Babbi's pistachio cream. So, I decided to buy the "Yamabana Cornet Pistachio" and a cream puff to compare the cream and texture. The regular cream puff had a classic taste that I think would appeal to everyone. The pistachio cornet used a cream with a strong pistachio flavor, topped with crushed pistachios on both ends, which was delightful. I was surprised by the crunchy texture of the cornet, with almost no crumbs falling off. It may be a bit tough to bite into, so preferences may vary, but I personally liked it. If I were to be a bit picky, I would have loved more cream in both pastries... There were many other bread items that caught my eye, and since there are plans for free streetcar rides in July as well, I'm already thinking about going on another bakery tour with my friends. Thank you for the meal.

The bakery I intended to visit had a limited selection, but I decided to stop by anyway. To my surprise, they had some interesting items left! I purchased the following: - Pain au Chocolat: Crispy on the outside with a light texture, the chocolate used was slightly bitter, which I enjoyed. It became even more delicious after being reheated. - Yamanashi Corone (Pistachio): The pistachio cream used was flavorful, and the crispy pastry had a satisfying crunch. The pistachio bits on the edge were a nice touch. - Anko Donut: The sweetness of the red bean paste was just right, and the dough was incredibly soft and fluffy. It was great on its own but even better when warmed up. - Tropicana (Half): This large bread had a lot of fruits like pineapple and was very chewy. It was a bit hard to tear apart, but the juicy fruits made it enjoyable. All the bread was well-made, whether soft or hard, and I didn't have any disappointments. The Anko Donut was surprisingly good, and I would recommend it. Overall, I was satisfied with my purchase and plan to visit this bakery again, probably at an earlier time. (I think this place will become even more popular in the future.)

In November, on a weekday morning, a bakery that had always been closed due to being sold out since it opened last month was unexpectedly open! The location is along the streetcar line near the East Tonden-dori stop, across from Tsuchida Hospital. There is no parking available at the shop. The interior is small and the variety of bread is not extensive, more on the elegant side. I purchased a salt bread for 160 yen, a tuna sandwich for 280 yen, and a ham and Colby Jack cheese sandwich for 290 yen. The salt bread was chewy and had a rich flavor. The tuna sandwich was filled with plenty of vegetables like onions, and while it was lightly seasoned, the filling was delicious on its own. The bread of the sandwich was moist. The ham and Colby Jack cheese sandwich was on the harder side, with the ham having a unique smoky flavor and the cheese mix adding a distinct taste. Afterward, I received croissants, waffles, and cheese Danish as a gift from this bakery. The croissant was surprisingly large, crispy on the outside, and moist inside with a hint of buttery flavor. The quality seemed high-end and it was recommended. The waffle was small, sweet on the surface with a crispy and slightly hard texture. The cheese Danish was flaky and crispy like a mille-feuille, with cream cheese that matched well but was a bit too flaky. The bakery's bread seems to be of high quality with concentrated flavors. It's more suitable for a leisurely tea time than a meal due to the smaller sizes of the items. Overall, it was a delightful experience. I will definitely purchase from this shop again if it's open.

In front of the shop, trains run along the Sapporo West Line, and my favorite bakery is located along a straight line from Horonambashi Elementary School in front of the tram stop to the tram depot. There are various bakeries such as Ange, Pose Pan, Boston, and Donguri. Recently, a new bakery that I like has opened with a prominent white sign. Inside, it is a stylish bakery, although the popular corner bread was sold out and not on the shelf, which I wanted. The prices of the bread are as follows: Melon Pan - 150 yen, Smooth Cream Pan - 170 yen (rich custard cream), Bagel - 180 yen (large and delicious), Tabachur - 200 yen (crispy and fragrant on the outside, moist and easy to eat on the inside). The receipt has the names of the bread printed on it, which is helpful, and they wrap the bread in a paper bag, leaving a good impression. I wonder if this bakery will be included in the new Co-op Sapporo opening at the end of this month. It seems like it will be a competitive area. Thank you for the meal! (^^♪

Sunday stroll in the city. Using the all-day tram ticket "Dosanko Pass," I visited the second stop on the tram line for some food exploration. From the "Higashi Tonden" tram stop, just a minute's walk away, I found the lively bakery "Lilac Bake" open from 9 am on Sundays. When I arrived before 10 am, there was already a line of about 10 people in front of the store. To avoid crowding, they were only allowing two groups in at a time, so I ended up waiting for over 30 minutes. While waiting, I peeked inside the store... and saw a display of delicious-looking bread. When it was finally my turn to enter the store, I was greeted by one man in the kitchen and two young women on the floor. The bakery had a variety of hard and soft bread, making me excited to explore. Despite the crowded store, I managed to choose a "Fermented Butter Croissant" for 200 yen and a "Cacao Rouge Chocolat" for 270 yen. The "Fermented Butter Croissant" had a perfect balance of crispy crust and moist crumb, and the quality for the price was outstanding. The "Cacao Rouge Chocolat" was a rich and satisfying French bread with cocoa dough, walnuts, chocolate chunks, cranberries, and raisins. The combination of flavors and textures made it a delightful choice. This bakery is a gem for bread lovers, and I look forward to visiting again for more delicious bread. Thank you for the meal.

Opened on October 26, 2021. Visited on 10/28 but it was sold out right in front of me! (;゚Д゚) Had other errands to run so couldn't help it, but if that parent and child weren't there in front of me... oh well, it can't be helped, haha. I felt frustrated, so I bought some fruit gummies f(^_^;). I will definitely revisit and share more next time♪ First, here is the opening information (*^^*)

I finally got my hands on the new product that looks like a pie filling. It wasn't baked after one hour of opening, and it was sold out after two hours, making it hard to get. When I finally bought it and tried it at home, it was a bit hard. The pain au chocolat I bought with it was usually crispy, but this time it was crunchy. Well, I guess there are days like this.

The chocolate croissant has a crispy texture similar to sfogliatella! Some may find it too hard, but I find the crunchiness enjoyable. The croissant is not as hard, but each layer is well-defined like a pie and delicious. The most popular milk bread is soft and chewy, and when torn by hand, it feels sticky, which is also good.

I finally managed to buy them on my third try. The cream pan is light and delicious, the curry pan is crispy, and the other breads are firm and well-made. Even though there are many bakeries nearby, I will definitely visit this small shop again.
