Visited at 5:15 pm on April 23, 2023. "Samgyetangin" is a specialty restaurant for Korean Samgyetang, which was selected as one of the top 100 Asian Ethnic restaurants. Despite several failed attempts to visit before being selected as one of the top 100, reservations were always fully booked. Reservations for only 54 people (9 people per session, 6 sessions per day) are available through a link on Instagram starting a month in advance. Finally, managed to secure a reservation for the last slot on a Sunday for a solo dining experience. Parked the car in a coin parking lot directly across from the restaurant and waited until the designated time. Noticed that customers who arrived early were asked to wait outside, as reservations were strictly scheduled in 5-minute intervals. Promptly at 5:15 pm, was guided into the restaurant. The setup inside was just as seen in photos, with a counter seating arrangement surrounding the Samgyetang pots, which were already prepared. The menu consists of only one item, the "Samgyetang set meal for ¥2,500." Ordered a service water from a separate drink menu due to driving. Within 10 minutes of being seated, a set of appetizers was served, including Chapchae, Napa cabbage kimchi, Korean seaweed, bean sprout namul, bulgogi, rice ball, and pumpkin namul, all homemade and delicious. After finishing the appetizers, the main dish, the Samgyetang, was brought out. The lid was placed on the pot when carrying it to the counter, and upon opening, the staff cheerfully sang a song. The dish was delicious, with a whole chicken inside, requiring some effort to debone. The broth was subtly seasoned, allowing for customization with various condiments available on the table. However, the portion size was a bit small, more suitable for those with a smaller appetite. The meal ended with a dessert of vanilla ice cream topped with yuzu jam, concluding the dining experience in less than an hour. Finished eating first among the 9 guests, settled the bill, and left the restaurant. Overall, satisfied with the taste and price, but felt the portion size was lacking. Would definitely visit again to enjoy the delicious food. Thank you for the meal.

I came to a Samgyetang specialty restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from Tsuruhashi Station. Reservations are required. The seating is at the counter with 8 seats and there are many female customers. I ordered a Makgeolli (1000 yen) as a drink and it was served with small side dishes (8 varieties) such as Korean seaweed tsukudani, kimchi, jeon, and capchae. They were surprisingly delicious, especially the seaweed tsukudani with a salty flavor. When the Samgyetang (2500 yen) was served, the staff said '1, 2, Samgyetang, have a good meal' as they opened the lid. The chicken was very tender and gave off a wonderful broth with Korean ginseng and jujube, giving it a deep flavor. I wondered how they cooked the chicken. There were four types of condiments available for flavor enhancement, and the yangnyeom-gejang was particularly good. Finally, a yuzu sherbet was served at the end for a refreshing finish. Bon appétit!

I visited this restaurant through Instagram reservation during lunch on a weekday for my 100 famous restaurant tour. Inside, there are only counter seats at this hardcore restaurant that specializes in Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup). I ordered the "Samgyetang set meal" here, which is the only item on the menu. First, Korean side dishes called Panchan were served, each dish looking visually appealing and of high quality. They were all delicious, but for some reason, the Korean seaweed tasted exceptionally good. Then, the main dish, Samgyetang, arrived. The chicken was so tender that it fell apart easily, and the soup had a great flavor. You can also enjoy flavor variations using the condiments on the table. Personally, I found the combination with Gochujang the most delicious. Lastly, the yuzu sherbet refreshed my mouth, and I had a great time overall. Thank you for the meal!

The atmosphere at this restaurant with only 8 counter seats is really great. In front of the counter, there is a stove where Samgyetang is prepared, and you can watch the bubbling fire, almost like a performance. The small appetizer dishes are all delicious. The main dish, Samgyetang, is of course delicious. It has a gentle flavor, and it tastes great on its own. There is plenty of food, so you can enjoy changing the taste. The customer favorite is the combination of Yangnyeom Gejang sauce and coriander chips. The coriander adds a great accent. It's irresistible for coriander lovers. This Samgyetang is so delicious that I ended up ordering it twice more through Uber.

It was hot out, so my friend and I decided to go for something hot and delicious! Taste... 4.5 The side dishes and samgyetang were as delicious as ever. Today, the sticky rice was a bit hard, so I rate it 4.5. I recommend trying different flavor combinations. Atmosphere... 4.5 It can be tough to get a table even if you arrive early due to the simultaneous seating. It's tough in the extreme heat or cold. The restaurant itself is cozy and the performance is fantastic. Value... 5 I am completely satisfied with the quality, taste, and price of this place.

About a 10-minute walk from Teramachi Station... a reservation-only restaurant specializing in Samgyetang! You need to make a reservation through Instagram. They have 6 time slots: 11:00-12:00, 12:15-13:15, 13:30-14:30, 14:45-15:45, 16:00-17:00, 17:15-18:15, with only 9 counter seats available each time. Start with a medium-sized bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer for 600 yen. The staff will explain the Samgyetang and side dishes in detail. While waiting for the Samgyetang to be ready, various side dishes like Jeon, Japchae, Namul, Kimchi, and seaweed tsukudani are served. Enjoying these with beer is a great combination for drinkers. Finally, the Samgyetang is served in a bubbling hot stone pot. The staff will lift the lid with a cheerful "1, 2, Samgyetang~ Let's eat!" The soup is rich and flavorful, and the chicken is tender. You can enjoy different flavors by dipping the chicken in various sauces. The meal ends with a rice porridge-like dish. There is also a dessert like yuzu sherbet. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience trying Samgyetang at this entertaining restaurant. It's worth a visit at least once!

Reservation system, first time trying Samgyetang♡ It was very delicious, with a hot and gentle taste that is good for the body. I personally really enjoyed the Yannyeon Kejanchan for a taste change in the middle. There were 7 side dishes, Samgyetang, ice cream... I was so full. The service was polite and very good. I am completely satisfied with my first Samgyetang experience! Thank you for the meal♡

I made a reservation on the same day and visited the restaurant alone. The menu consisted of only one item, which was Samgyetang set meal. In the center of the restaurant, there was a stove where the Samgyetang was being prepared, and I enjoyed small side dishes while watching it cook. The Makgeolli (rice wine) was also delicious and I recommend trying it. The Samgyetang was excellent, and you can adjust the seasoning to your liking. Overall, it was a great experience!

We used it with our family. The calm atmosphere allowed us to enjoy quietly. The dishes are light and easy on the stomach, so we didn't feel heavy, but we ended up quite full. The taste and portion size were very satisfying. I would like to go again.

There were vacancies during the Bon festival, so two people came to the 12:15 session. The counter seats were full. As mentioned in other reviews, the flow is the same. First, we ordered drinks (water is not served), and the staff explained the dishes as they were served. Seven small dishes were served first, and about 20 minutes after entering the restaurant, samgyetang was served. The dessert was yuzu sherbet. I personally thought the samgyetang was well-seasoned, but it may vary from person to person. You can adjust the taste with the four types of sauce on the table. Since the seats are for a one-hour time slot, those who eat slowly or have sensitive tongues may feel rushed. It was delicious, but it was hot in the summer. You can't take your time because there's only one more hour, water is not provided under the one-drink system, and the prices are a bit high, so that's why I'm giving this rating.

The best restaurant in Osaka. The food is delicious with a hint of cilantro. There are 4 types of toppings for flavor variation. The Yan-nyeon-ke-jan on the left is slightly spicy and tasty. The hot corn tea is also delicious! All this for 2500 yen plus 300 yen for the corn tea is a great deal! I definitely want to go back next time.

Visited the popular Samgyetang specialty restaurant "Samgyetangin Lu" in Ikuno Koreatown. Finally got a chance to visit this place that is always fully booked. The menu consists of only one option, the Samgyetang set meal. The cooking of the Samgyetang is done in the center of the table, giving a lively atmosphere. This was my first time trying a specialty Samgyetang restaurant, and I must say it was delicious. The chicken broth was rich but not overly seasoned, with a gentle and creamy texture. The flavor is not too strong, so it's recommended to try out the various condiments on the table. The chicken meat was tender and flavorful. Overall, it was a delightful experience. Looking forward to visiting their other branches as well.

This was my first time trying Samgyetang. It had plenty of rice inside and lots of side dishes, so I was really full! The side dishes included Chapchae, Jijimi, Namul, and a small rice ball. The Samgyetang was seasoned differently from what I had in Korea, and I think it's more suited for Japanese taste as it can be eaten as is. The drink menu was mostly alcoholic, with only two soft drink options. The restaurant was located between Tsuruhashi and Momodani, so it was a bit of a walk and quite hot outside. Since Samgyetang is a hot dish, it might be better to take a taxi during the summer. Reservations seem to be easier to make now compared to when they first opened, but slots around 12:45 pm fill up quickly. I made a reservation through their Instagram URL. My reservation was at 11 am, but it was only until 12 pm, so it was tough to finish eating in just one hour. I wish I could have had more time to enjoy my meal.

I made a reservation the week before and visited the restaurant. It's easier to get a reservation gap on weekdays when dining alone. The seats seemed to be more likely to have one empty spot as most customers were in pairs. We had a 12:15 reservation but ended up entering around 12:20 because the previous group was running late. It seemed like they were seating people at the same time, creating a sense of unity. The 7 types of appetizers were served first while the main dish, Samgyetang, was being prepared. All the appetizers were elaborate and delicious. I tried Korean seaweed tsukudani for the first time and was surprised by its sweetness. The Samgyetang was exquisite, with the salt bringing out the chicken's flavor. There were 4 different condiments for flavor variation, keeping the dish interesting. It was a mild version of Samgyetang, easy to eat with ingredients like ginseng. I would recommend it to others and would like to come back with someone. The one-hour time limit may require some to eat quickly. I found myself checking the time towards the end and eating a bit faster. It would have been perfect with an extra 15 minutes of time.

Located 8 minutes on foot from Tsuruhashi Station in Kansai Korea Town, in Momodani, Ikuno-ku, Osaka, is "Samgyetang Jinro." This popular Samgyetang specialty shop has been selected as one of the top 100 Asian ethnic restaurants on Tabelog and is a sister shop of "Kankoku Shokudo Iru," which has been selected in the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand. Reservations are only available online, with 6 sessions per day lasting 60 minutes each. Menu consists of only Samgyetang set meal, which includes 7 homemade side dishes and dessert alongside the ginseng chicken soup. During my visit, I had the Samgyetang set meal for 2,500 yen (it was 1,800 yen at the time). The meal started with 7 appetizers including Korean seaweed tsukudani, napa cabbage kimchi, bean sprout namul, chapchae, chijimi, and Korean seaweed rolls. The Samgyetang pot was lit up simultaneously in the center of the kitchen, and after it was finished, the staff opened the lid with a shout of "1, 2, Samgyetang!!" providing an entertaining experience. Honestly, the taste of the Samgyetang was just average and not particularly impressive. As someone who has had delicious Samgyetang in Korea, I found this one lacking depth and complexity in its flavor. The soup was relatively light and lacked the depth and richness typically found in authentic Korean Samgyetang. The chicken was said to be tender, but in my opinion, the best Samgyetang should have chicken that easily falls off the spoon, which was not the case here. The broth was light, so it may pair well with the 4 condiments provided for flavor variation. Overall, I believe it's worth visiting once for the entertainment factor, but to survive in the long run, they need to attract repeat customers. I look forward to seeing improvements in the future! There is a famous restaurant in Fukushima called "Nyuru" which specializes in Samgyetang, a Korean dish made with chicken and ginseng. I mistakenly made a reservation at a new hotel in Umeda called the East Umeda Apartment Tower, thinking it was the same restaurant. Luckily, the hotel was very nice with hot springs, facilities, and even a pool. The Samgyetang meal was served in a theatrical manner, with the chicken being cooked in front of us and served with various side dishes. The food was delicious and even my Korean friend enjoyed it. The restaurant operates on a strict reservation-only basis with specific time slots for dining.

It seems to be a famous restaurant in Tsuruhashi where it's hard to make a reservation. Luckily, I was able to get a reservation for the starting time on a weekday. It's a small shop with only a counter, but it's definitely worth it. I ordered a drink and before I knew it, the Samgyetang (Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup) was served! I just enjoyed the meal and felt energized by the taste!!

In the center, there is a large stove where the Samgyetang pot is boiled, surrounded by counter tables. The staff is attentive and friendly. After a brief explanation, the side dishes (banchan) are served. The restaurant also offers Poksuntga, the highest quality homemade makgeolli. The Samgyetang is served with a lot of excitement, and the taste is fantastic. The dish is light and healthy, with the flavors blending beautifully. You can also enjoy different flavors by adding various condiments. The taste, service, variety of drinks, and atmosphere are excellent, but the only downside is the one-hour dining time limit, which can feel a bit rushed. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that left us feeling warm and satisfied.

【Situation】Solo Date Exclusive Reservation Only, No Seats Available for Months in Advance. This is an amazing restaurant. I have been lucky enough to go a few times since it opened, and the deliciousness is consistently top-notch. Enjoying some panchan with a nice makgeolli, getting my mind, body, and taste buds ready, and then it's time for the samgyeopsal. With entertainment elements and a healthy meal in a special setting, I can't find a reason not to make the next reservation. I recommend going alone for the first visit. On the second visit, bring someone special and show off as you guide them in. Thank you for the feast! 🌟
