This is my first visit to a restaurant in the Shiroishi Station area! It’s a fresh pasta place (╹◡╹). The interior has a pub atmosphere at night. The izakaya menu features delicious dishes from Kyushu! You can place orders using a QR code (╹◡╹). There are five types of pasta sauces: tomato sauce, tomato cream, cream sauce, mentaiko sauce, and peperoncino. Since it’s my first time here, I chose the tomato sauce (´∀`) with octopus and komatsuna (1628 yen). It’s served in a stone pot that’s bubbling hot, so watch out for burns! It’s so hot that even after blowing on it, it stays super hot! Haha. The pasta is fresh and chewy ^ ^, with garlic and chili providing a nice kick. It was really delicious! I added some extra Tabasco to make it spicier. Thank you for the meal!

This was my first visit. It was around lunchtime, but the place was not crowded. I ordered the Vongole Rosso and the Mentaiko Cheese set. Since it's fresh pasta, even though it was cooked bubbling hot, the chewy noodles were delicious. The dish was served in a unique shallow stone bowl I've never seen before. I also ordered a cream-based pasta, but I forgot to take a picture of it. Still, both the Lemon Cream Pasta and the Mentaiko Cheese Pasta are cream-based, and they tasted quite similar—I'd prefer a bit more distinction in flavor. Nonetheless, the complimentary bread for soaking up the sauce was a delightful service. I ended up asking for two extra pieces! I definitely want to have the noodles again. I'm sure I'll be back! Maybe next time I'll try a large portion.

I visited a place called Magical Pasta. Located on the first floor of a building, there's parking available on the side. When I arrived shortly after lunch hours, it was completely empty. At night, it turns into an izakaya called Jinchiken. I noticed a recruitment poster for staff on the wall. It had a distinct izakaya smell for a pasta restaurant. Orders were placed using a QR code, and payment was possible through PayPay. The menu featured some less common dishes. I tried the "Cacciatora-style Tomato Cream" priced at ¥1,340, which was made with basil, mushrooms, and chicken breast. Cacciatora translates to "hunter-style dish" in Italian, which is a rustic meal typically made with meat and mushrooms cooked in tomato sauce. Though my dish featured shimeji mushrooms and chicken breast and wasn’t particularly rustic, it was served bubbling hot in a cast-iron pot. The tomato sauce was delicious! In the back of the counter, I could see the kitchen and a path to the refrigerator. I noticed a staff member transporting frozen tomato sauce from the fridge, which made me think that maybe seeing too much isn't always good? Magical Pasta has a branch in Shiga, and it seems like a franchise of sorts. This particular day was the day after heavy snowfall. When I called to ask about parking, they advised me to use nearby parking due to snow accumulation. I thought it would have been better to clear the snow from their parking lot if they wanted to remain open. But overall, it was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Sapporo still has a lot of snow left, and when I visited, the roads were bumpy as I entered a narrow street. The restaurant closed at 2 PM, so I had to hurry to order since it was already a few minutes past 1 PM. I quickly ordered the spicy cod roe lemon pasta with seafood, along with a salad, drink, and a basket of bread. There were no other customers apart from us. The pasta arrived in about ten minutes, bubbling hot. It was quite delicious, but I found the portion to be a bit small for my liking. However, I enjoyed a lot of the tasty bread!

On a weekday, I visited a stone-baked pasta restaurant located in Higashi-Sapporo 5-jou, Shiroishi Ward, which I had bookmarked for lunch. I wondered if it was alright to park in the lot beside the restaurant, which had a few available spaces. Upon arrival, I remembered that this was previously a Chinese restaurant, and now it seems to operate as a lunch service for a Kagoshima izakaya in the evenings. The interior consists of a counter, tables, and a small elevated area. The background music was the sound of a daytime information program from the television. On this day, I looked over the menu and felt a bit intimidated by the prices, which were higher than I expected. I decided against the salad and juice set and opted for a single item, the "Garlic Shrimp" (1,474 yen). Upon closer inspection, I noticed that almost all the dishes were priced similarly. The dish arrived bubbling hot. Taking a bite, I found the noodles to be of average thickness, but then I recalled that the menu mentioned "fresh pasta." The texture was quite interesting—how should I describe it? Perhaps a balance of firmness and elasticity? The flavor had a slight uniqueness to it as well. The seasoning was classic peperoncino, resulting in a subtle garlic flavor with a burst of spiciness from the chili! It was quite spicy, but it didn’t linger. I noticed about five pieces of broccoli and five large boiled shrimp in the dish. Although the seasoning was typical for a peperoncino dish, the combination of the noodle texture and the price point might influence how customers perceive it. Thank you for the meal.

On my way from Myōho to Shin-Sapporo, I spotted a pasta banner around the Kikusui area, and I suddenly wanted pasta so badly. I found this restaurant that I had bookmarked and decided to drop by. It turns out they serve as an izakaya (Japanese pub) at night. The interior is spacious with counter seats, table seats, and a raised tatami area, catering to customers in their 40s and 50s. To order, you scan a QR code with your smartphone. They have a parking lot next to the restaurant with space for four cars. The menu features five types of base sauces: tomato, cream, peperoncino, tomato cream, and mentaiko cream. Each of these has 5-6 variations based on ingredients, totaling about 20 dishes. I chose the "Shrimp Cream" pasta (1,474 yen) from the cream sauce options. After about 10 minutes of waiting, it was served in a flat stone pot, bubbling hot. The dish included five small shrimp and five small broccoli florets. The sauce was smooth and creamy, though for someone who enjoys bold flavors like me, I found it slightly lacking in saltiness. I thought it would be delicious with some grated cheese, but there weren't any condiments on the table or served with the dish, so I ate it as is. The highlight was definitely the fresh pasta! It had a chewy, yet tender texture that was delightful to bite into; it was really tasty! My companion ordered "Garlic Shrimp" with the peperoncino sauce (also 1,474 yen). This dish also featured five small shrimp and five broccoli pieces, with a slightly tangy, garlicy, and mildly spicy sauce—very enjoyable! For lunch, they offer two set menus that include a salad, a drink, and unlimited bread for an additional 418 yen. Adding a dessert raises the cost to 836 yen more. Since the cheapest pasta dish is 1,474 yen, the sets can feel a bit pricey. I'm curious about the mentaiko cream pasta, so I definitely plan to return. Thank you, "Shiroishi Branch"!

I visited Magic Pasta, a dual-purpose restaurant that serves pasta during the day and becomes an izakaya at night. I ordered the garlic shrimp pasta, a peperoncino style dish, priced at around 1,474 yen. The pasta is served in a sizzling stone pot, so be careful not to burn yourself! The round fresh pasta is delightfully chewy and has a great texture. The broccoli is slightly undercooked, and the large shrimp are juicy and delicious. The flavor is a bit spicy and tasty, with a nice oil base. However, I do have some minor concerns regarding its cost-performance.

I love the chewy texture of fresh pasta! It was served in a bubbling stone pot, so I could enjoy it hot until the very end. The shrimp, which were plentiful – around five or six – were plump and juicy! The tomato sauce with chili, garlic, and olives made me crave the unlimited baguette that came with the lunch set. While ordering through a QR code was a bit challenging for me, the owner, who was managing everything alone, noticed my struggle and kindly helped me out. I chose pasta with tomato sauce, along with small shrimp and broccoli. The texture of the fresh pasta was firm at first, then it became chewy and smooth, which paired perfectly with the tomato sauce. I really liked this chewy texture, so I’m already wanting to try other menu items next time. However, I found myself debating whether to spend close to 2,000 yen when adding a set, as it feels a bit pricey for a casual meal. The single item was 1,340 yen plus tax, and they offered a little discount for the odd amount. There is a parking lot next to the restaurant that can accommodate about four cars. In the evenings, they also operate a restaurant called "Jidori-tei Jin," specializing in Satsuma chicken and local sake. This new "Maho no Pasta" (Magic Pasta) in Sapporo Shiroishi started its lunch service. Store information: 〒003-0005 Hokkaido, Sapporo, Shiroishi District, Higashi Sapporo 5-jo 6-chome 1-17, Diana Shiroishi Building 1st floor, Magic Pasta Sapporo Shiroishi.

About a two-minute walk from Shiroishi Subway Station, "Chickens' Tei Jin" offers a lunch option called "Magical Pasta." It's said to be a famous place for stone-grilled fresh pasta from Shiga. On a Monday just past noon, there were no customers ahead of me or behind me. I was seated at the counter and placed my order by scanning a QR code on my phone. I ordered the tomato sauce pasta with small shrimp and broccoli for about 1,474 yen. It arrived in a stone pot, bubbling with a hearty soup. Cautiously, I took a bite— the noodles were chewy and had a nice texture. The tomato sauce was slightly spicy and salty. There were around six to seven plump shrimp, along with just broccoli. As the soup thickened from cooking, I twirled the pasta in it. This hot dish might be perfect for the upcoming colder season. However, on its own, the pasta felt a little insufficient or lacking in excitement. Ordering a set would cost nearly 2,000 yen, making it a bit pricey for a weekday lunch. Hmm?! My total stay lasted about 30 minutes, and I paid 1,470 yen; the remaining 4 yen was discounted.

There were plenty of seafood in the dish, so I didn’t think the price was high. The fact that it was served in a stone pot was unique, but the flavor of the pasta sauce was something I could easily make at home. It was tasty in a standard way, but overall just average.
