The restaurant, which had gained fame for its large portion curry, had turned into a Chinese restaurant! It seems like there is a new owner, but I wonder why they kept the same name. I bought a meal ticket and sat at a small table for one person. It wasn't a sunken kotatsu table, so it was a bit uncomfortable. Previously, there were counter seats available, but not anymore. I ordered the Ankake Yakisoba for 900 yen. It came with shrimp, ham, mushrooms, and vegetables. It felt a bit lacking in ingredients. The noodles were medium thickness and slightly soft. It didn't have the usual intense heat of ankake. It was lukewarm. The first thing I noticed was the sweetness in the seasoning. It was delicious but didn't leave a strong impression. Maybe their specialty is tantanmen? The menu offers various tantanmen dishes. I might try the tantanmen or karaage next time.

I went to the restaurant with the intention of eating curry, but the management had changed and there were no longer any of the previous menu items. It had become a Chinese cuisine-focused restaurant. Although I was in the mood for curry, I decided to try the soupless tantanmen noodles. It was reasonably delicious. I forgot to take a photo. I would be happy if the menu had a bit more variety. However, I was quite shocked that the curry was no longer available.

"The destination for Saturday's outing was unexpectedly Betsukai. I didn't have the energy to go to Kushiro, and I didn't have the strength to go further to Obihiro or Asahikawa. Betsukai, a city that I haven't written much about, was the chosen destination. Upon searching, I found many shops, but ended up choosing only take-out places. As a result, I couldn't visit many establishments. I decided to try 'Teishaba' without making a phone call beforehand. The signboard for dishes like ramen and fried chicken was hanging outside. Upon entering, I noticed a sign saying it was part of some facility, but it was a direct visit to the shop. I couldn't escape. Inside, there was a ticket machine. A friendly lady welcomed me and when I asked if they offered take-out, she showed me a different menu. I chose the 'Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork' as a single item, priced at 800 yen. It was a bit disappointing in terms of portion size for the price. The lady, who seemed clean despite wearing a mask, prepared the dish. It was ready in 10 minutes. There were other customers, but my dish was served quickly. When I opened it, I was surprised by the appearance. It didn't look like sweet and sour pork. The dish mainly consisted of meat, with few carrots, no bell peppers, and no pineapple. My wife said it looked delicious, but when I mentioned the price, she was shocked. She said the taste wasn't bad, but ultimately rated it 2.5 out of 5. The lack of fat in the meat was concerning, and the absence of certain ingredients was puzzling. The shredded cabbage was also strange. The most surprising thing was when my wife said, 'This is chicken!'."
