I visited this restaurant before and thought I had posted photos on Tabelog, but when I checked, I realized I hardly uploaded any pictures, which left me feeling regretful. So today, I made another pilgrimage to this "godly" place. Last time, I had iced coffee, which was delicious, and I remember the crispy "naan" was also great. As I reminisced while driving, I arrived at 1:41 PM. The store has a layout where the register is at the center, surrounded by table seating, making it difficult to see the entire restaurant. If I wandered around, I felt like I might be mistaken for a "cash thief" given my expression, so I stayed put. Despite the time, there were still about eight customers. It’s quite a popular curry shop!
**Lunch Set A: Shrimp Masala Curry, Spiciness Level 4 (Very Spicy) - 900 yen (tax included)**
- It included one tail-on Black Tiger shrimp and three Banana shrimp (my guess on the types).
- Having both kinds of shrimp was delightful, as they have slightly different tastes and textures.
- The Banana shrimp was plump and sweet with a lovely aroma, while the Black Tiger shrimp was also firm and substantial, making it very satisfying for the price.
- The "naan" was delicious; crispy and reminiscent of the fragrant taste of Pretz sticks, making it hard to stop eating. The underside was a deep brown, enhancing its toasted flavor.
- The curry featured "kasuri methi," dried fenugreek leaves, which imparted a sweet aroma and slightly bitter flavor, enhancing the overall fragrance and appetite due to the combination with other spices.
**Katsu Curry Set Regular: Pork Cutlet (100g) - 1,150 yen (tax included)**
- The curry sauce was the same "Shrimp Masala Curry" from Lunch Set A, but it only had two Banana shrimp.
- The cutlet was thin but tasty for the price. However, I wondered about the compatibility between the cutlet and shrimp curry. They seemed to clash, overpowering each other's flavors.
- I came with "Babaa" (an elderly woman), thinking it would have been better to order different items instead of having the same curry. Unfortunately, hindsight is always 20/20. "God" says: It doesn’t linger... even at dinner! (*chuckles*) "Babaa": No way! "God": What?!
Oh, was the iced coffee thinner than last time? Even so, it's still a great value set. Lunch for 900 yen (tax included) is cheap, especially with a salad and drink included. The dressing for the salad was truly tasty, with spices that made me wish I could buy it if it were sold.
This place is great for casual dining, and I highly recommend it. "God": The Nepalese staff are very serious and hard-working. I respect that. Working in a foreign land is tough, right? "God": Have I ever lived seriously? "Babaa": Nope! "God": Oh… just one character of a punchline? "Babaa": …
"God": Ignored, huh?
