辛い好きもぐたん
【Takeout Available】A new vegetable shop has opened on the basement floor of the commercial facility Sanpiazza, directly connected to JR Shin-Sapporo Station and Subway Tozai Line Shin-Sapporo Station, which opened on March 15, 2017. They focus on vegetables from Hokkaido and aim to establish a close relationship with producers. In addition to fresh vegetables, they also sell side dishes and bento boxes. In winter, they focus on domestic produce, mainly from Kyushu and Shikoku. The shop is located along New Main Street, entering Sanpiazza from the Duo side, between Niku no Yamamoto and Komatsu Suisan.
Visited again on March 6, 2018, at 8:30 PM. One of my go-to places after work. This season offers a variety of domestic citrus fruits to enjoy. I went to see if they had grapefruits, but they were out and instead, I spotted kinkans sold individually! They were from Kagoshima, I think... with a sugar content of over 18 degrees. Each kinkan was 123 yen, so I bought two. Kinkans are eaten with the peel, which has a bitter taste, but the flesh is sweet and juicy. A rush of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness in each bite. I planned to savor one a day, but ended up eating them all at once (laughs). Okinawa's Yanbaru tomatoes were 246 yen. Although they can't beat the cherry tomatoes bought from a farm's direct sales corner in the summer due to the distance traveled, they are still delicious and different from those sold in supermarkets. I usually don't like shredded cabbage that has been sitting for a while (rarely get seconds at tonkatsu restaurants), but this time, I thought, "Huh? It's not bitter?" Perhaps the cabbage was freshly prepared, or maybe it was the dressing, but it was tasty. I love beans and nuts, so I wish they would double the amount of beans instead of adding ham (laughs). A salad with prosciutto, sweet cabbage, and beans was 408 yen. I usually enjoy the colorful rice for 500 yen at this shop because they cook rice so well. You can enjoy four different types of colored rice.
