Iwanaicho... There aren't many big shopping districts, but there are a lot of sushi restaurants. This time, I visited Sushi Man for the first time. It's a new attempt for me to post while enjoying some drinks, aside from just a beer. I often forget to take photos or remember what I ate, since I usually dine alone. I was seated at the counter since I was dining alone. The first floor was quite full, and the second floor seemed to be hosting a party. It was a weekday, but the place was quite busy. Looking at the menu, they offered sushi, rice bowls, tempura, as well as fried chicken and chicken wings, making it suitable for an izakaya-style meal. I ordered a beer and was contemplating what to order while looking at the selection of sushi. The chef suggested a mixed plate of tuna, flounder, scallop, scallop, and shrimp. I mentioned that I can eat any seafood, so I received a plate of 5 different types of sashimi. I ordered more beer and added salmon and cured mackerel because I wanted more sashimi. The mackerel was served with white kelp, typical of pressed sushi. I then switched to sake and had a glass of Yama no Kami. When I asked for a recommendation, the chef suggested Dassai, which I thought would be expensive. However, he assured me that it was a reasonable option, so I tried it. After finishing my drinks, I ordered nigiri sushi. The menu listed sea urchin, but they were out, so I had crab instead. I also added tamago (egg) to my order. It was delicious, so I ordered another one. I had a satisfying and reasonably priced meal, spending a total of 6700 yen for the sashimi platter, additional sashimi, nigiri sushi, two beers, Yama no Kami, and Dassai. I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!
