I visited this restaurant on a whim, as it is known for its delicious okonomiyaki and is located in an unexpected place. I rode my bike there and arrived just before 3 o'clock, so there were hardly any customers and I was able to get a table easily. This restaurant is famous not only for its taste but also for its huge portion size. I ordered the mixed modern-yaki. When it arrived, I was truly surprised. It didn't have the typical okonomiyaki shape at all. It was filled with large shrimp, squid, and scallops, and the amount of ingredients was overwhelming. The seasoning was perfect, and I didn't feel the need to add any more throughout the meal, although I did drink three glasses of water, so I think the seasoning was a bit strong. However, I couldn't help but think that if it costs 2000 yen, I could have had omusoba for 1000 yen and okonomiyaki for another 1000 yen on separate days. Also, the plates were too small, making it difficult to eat. Overall, I think there are pros and cons to the large portion size.

On Sunday, aiming to open at 11:30, I arrived at 11:35. It was already a popular restaurant with the first group of customers inside and about five groups waiting. Takeout (reservation available) was also an option, so it took a while to move forward, and I finally entered for the last seating of the second round at 12:30. As soon as I sat down, the pork and squid balls and yakisoba arrived. As always, the portions were generous and delicious!

In Toyonaka, there is a popular okonomiyaki restaurant. It is best to make a reservation in advance as there is usually a long wait. I ordered the Modern-yaki and yakisoba. The yakisoba was average, but the Modern-yaki was very delicious. The okonomiyaki, topped in a three-dimensional shape, was unique and the inside was fluffy, possibly due to the addition of yam. They also have a branch in Namba, so I would like to visit again.

Visited on Sunday at 2:30 PM. The restaurant was about 60% full. The interior looked like it used to be a café. There was no built-in teppanyaki grill at the tables. First, the female staff was not very friendly. The kitchen staff was okay though. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink. It wasn't too cold, just lukewarm. Anyway, that's the not-so-great part. It took about 15 minutes for the okonomiyaki to be served. The okonomiyaki was quite fluffy. It seemed like they mixed air into it while cooking, which gave it a good texture and taste. There were a lot of squid pieces in it compared to other places. The omusoba was okay, nothing special. It might have been because I ate it after the okonomiyaki, but it tasted a bit bland. The okonomiyaki seemed a bit pricey, but it had a lot of squid in it, so it's not too bad.

This is a recommended restaurant by a friend. The okonomiyaki with shrimp, scallops, octopus, and squid was large and satisfying. There was a lot of cabbage, so it didn't leave you feeling heavy after eating. We also had yakisoba, which had just the right amount of sauce (although my companion thought it was a bit thin), and some parts were crispy from being cooked well. It was delicious. The individual portions on the hot plate stayed hot for a long time, which was great. We went for a slightly late lunch on Sunday, made a reservation and decided on the menu in advance, which made the experience smooth. There were two parking lots, one next to the restaurant and another across the street.

I often use takeout, but it was my first visit in a while. Takeout is good too, but freshly made is definitely better. We ordered pork okonomiyaki, cheese okonomiyaki, and yakisoba, and enjoyed them all with my family. I still think this is the number one restaurant in Osaka.

I received a Buta Modern for 1,500 yen! It is served on a hot iron plate. The Modern is served in a style similar to Okonomiyaki with Omusoba on top. It is fluffy and filling with Omusoba. It seems like a second store has opened in Namba. It was delicious. The pricing is a bit on the higher side for Okonomiyaki, but I think it is a good restaurant overall, including the service.

After finishing up my errands in Osaka, I decided to visit this restaurant I had been curious about. I ordered yakisoba, modanyaki, and okonomiyaki. Everything was delicious! The portions were generous, and the okonomiyaki was incredibly fluffy and tasty, difficult to recreate at home. I definitely want to go back again. Thank you for the meal!

Hello, it's RamenWalking❗️Today is Okonomiyaki Day. I went to AT THE 21 in Shoroji and had the "Mix Modern Yaki". I had been craving okonomiyaki since the weekend, so I decided to visit this famous restaurant that is known for its quality and quantity on a holiday afternoon. I arrived at 3:00 PM. I always have breakfast at the usual time, so I was prepared for the huge okonomiyaki. There were 2 customers already seated. I was able to enter immediately and was seated at the counter where I ordered the dish I had been looking forward to. [Order] Mix Modern Yaki 2,250 yen. I had an idea of the thickness from photos posted by people I follow, but the actual dish was indeed huge! It had more than double the thickness of a regular okonomiyaki! When cut with a spatula, you could see the cross-section with the yakisoba noodles packed firmly on top of the mix. It looked like a two-story structure. When I took a bite, the sweet and savory sauce mixed with the spicy mustard was delicious. The batter had a fluffy texture with plenty of eggs, which was tasty! Despite being hungry, it took me quite a while to finish due to the substantial volume, but I managed to enjoy it until the end without getting tired of the taste. Thank you, AT THE 21. It's a small, privately owned shop. The atmosphere inside is calm, and it seems like there aren't many first-time customers. The menu is fixed, and you can order by phone, and it seems like you can also make reservations. The food is good, but honestly, I'm not sure if it's the kind of taste that would win awards for several years in a row. It was delicious though.

In a residential area in Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture, there is a retro-style okonomiyaki restaurant that feels like a cafe. I arrived 20 minutes early and there was only one other group in the area. The staff took our order before officially opening, which was convenient. I wanted to try the Modern-style okonomiyaki, but wasn't confident I could finish one by myself, so I ordered a Mixed Okonomiyaki and Mixed Yakisoba instead. The okonomiyaki was fluffy and filled with generous portions of ingredients! Delicious! The yakisoba had medium-thick straight noodles with a slightly light sauce, and again, it was filled with plenty of ingredients! Delicious! The cozy atmosphere of the homely restaurant and the generous portions of okonomiyaki made for a satisfying meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

Today, I indulged in a Mix Modern Yaki! It's convenient to have a parking lot next to the restaurant. It's been a while since I've had it and I felt like having it again. The price for the Modern Yaki was 1150 yen, and you can choose your ingredients for an additional 950 yen. This time, I tried the Mix Modern Yaki for the first time, which includes pork, squid, shrimp, scallops, and mushrooms. I noticed a poster about the opening of their new branch in Ura-Namba, which caught my interest. I asked the owner, and they mentioned that their son will be opening a branch near Yoshimoto or Sennichimae on June 1st. The restaurant in Toyonaka has many customers who come by car, but having a branch in Ura-Namba will make it more accessible for others. I look forward to visiting the new branch.

The popular okonomiyaki restaurant has plenty of parking spaces compared to its capacity, which is convenient for waiting in the car. When I visited after 2 pm, the restaurant was full, so I waited outside on a chair. At this time, there were only adults, no children. The portions are generous. This time, I had the pork tamago and pork yakisoba. The pork tamago was fluffy with a crispy top and bottom. The pork yakisoba had thin noodles and a savory sauce with a nice charred flavor. Both were delicious, but I recommend the yakisoba. You will definitely be satisfied. This restaurant is known for its modern yaki, which is popular due to its generous portions and appealing presentation.

Visited around 5:30 pm on a Sunday based on the reviews by Mairebi-san. The restaurant was almost full. Ordered the modern yakisoba with meat and soba. While waiting for the modern yakisoba to arrive, it was busy with people coming in to pick up takeout orders and phone orders. The portion was smaller than expected, but when it arrived... it was quite a mountain of food! I was a bit worried but managed to finish it all! The modern yakisoba had okonomiyaki with omusoba on top, and it was very delicious.

After the usual full-contact karate practice on Saturday, we went out for lunch with mom who was able to attend the practice this time. We decided to go to a popular restaurant near our home that serves okonomiyaki and takoyaki. Despite not being a big fan of okonomiyaki and takoyaki, mom agreed to have okonomiyaki this time. We arrived at the restaurant at 11:15 am and there was already a group of 4 customers waiting. More customers arrived after us and we were seated at 11:30 am. We ordered okonomiyaki mix, negiyaki mix, and omusoba mix. Mom particularly enjoyed the omusoba. The kids also enjoyed their meals. The restaurant was very busy, and some customers were not happy that additional orders were not allowed. We were informed beforehand that additional orders were not possible, so we were prepared. We paid with PayPay and plan to visit the restaurant again in the future.

I don't remember how many times I have visited, but I go about once every six months. The price is around 1500 yen per dish, so it might be a bit expensive for okonomiyaki. However, the deliciousness and portion size more than make up for it! I am always very satisfied. I went on a Saturday at 2 pm and there was a line outside, so I had to wait. It can be tough in the middle of summer, so I will visit again when it cools down. Thank you for the meal!

Visited before 11:30 on a holiday. There were 3 groups ahead of me, so I had to wait a little before entering. It seems like this place is popular for takeout as well.
- Ordered Mix Modern Yaki for 2100 yen.
At first, I thought it was a bit bland, but as I continued eating, the flavor became richer with the mix of mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup. The dough seemed quite orthodox and slightly thick. The ingredients, like shrimp and scallops, were each large in size, which was nice. In terms of cost performance, it's a bit questionable, but considering the portion size, ingredient size, and taste, it's understandable.

Located a 2-minute walk from Osaka Monorail Komichi Station, this restaurant has a unique appearance that doesn't immediately scream "okonomiyaki shop." Despite it being Golden Week, I was able to walk in around 2 pm without waiting in line. With 3 table seats and counter seats available, it's a comfortable spot for families or solo diners. I ordered the Seafood Okonomiyaki for 1,750 yen and the Modern-yaki for 1,400 yen. The dishes are prepared in the kitchen and brought to your table, ensuring they are served at their best. The Seafood Okonomiyaki was generously filled with salmon, squid, scallops, shrimp, and octopus, with the plump texture of the shrimp being a standout. The addition of mushrooms was a nice touch that paired well with the seafood. The Modern-yaki was visually impressive, overflowing with a generous portion that even spilled over the teppan. The yakisoba on top, neatly sealed with egg, was a unique and delicious twist. This is definitely a restaurant I'd like to visit again in the future.

Eating and walking in Toyonaka, Osaka, second stop. We visited "AT THE 21" after having burgers at Nick & Renee's. It's about a 15-minute walk from Nick & Renee's, or about 10 minutes from Shojaku Station on the Osaka Monorail. We arrived around 11:45, and the restaurant was full, so we had to wait outside with 5 groups and 7 people ahead of us. The restaurant has parking space for about 10 cars. While waiting in line, we placed our order with the staff. The basic menu includes: - Okonomiyaki base - Yakisoba base - Negiyaki base - Modern-yaki base - Omusoba base We ordered the popular Modern-yaki Mix. We waited outside for about 35 minutes, and finally entered the restaurant around 12:20. The seating includes a counter with 6 seats, two tables for 4 people, and two tables for 2 people. We sat at the counter and waited for our order. After about 10 minutes, the Modern-yaki was served. It was hot and freshly made, with a generous portion. The presentation was impressive, and it looked delicious! The Modern-yaki mix was covered in Otafuku sauce and topped with eggs. Inside, there was yakisoba, pork, squid, mushrooms, octopus, shrimp, and scallops. The ingredients were large and surprising! The sizzling sound as we cut into it just increased our appetite. After finishing our meal and leaving, we saw that there were still 7-8 people waiting in line. It's definitely a popular spot. Thank you for the meal!

I had lunch in Toyonaka. It was my first visit to this restaurant. They also have a branch in Panasuta, where I have eaten before. (Lately they have been weak and struggling...) Although the parking lot is across the road from the store, it is convenient. I ordered the Pork Modern. The modern yaki served on individual mini iron plates had a big visual impact, with a generous portion. I dug in right away, and both the dough and yakisoba were airy and easy to eat. The yakisoba had thin noodles and was topped with Otafuku sauce. The flavor was slightly strong and the portion was generous, so personally, I thought it would be better to have half the amount and eat it with rice. They will also open a branch in Namba in early June. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

At THE 21 in Toyonaka, there is a popular okonomiyaki restaurant located in a small alley. It has a unique design that doesn't look like a typical coffee shop. Since it was my first time at this restaurant, I wasn't sure what to order, but I decided to go with the Modern-yaki and Negi-yaki based on what other customers were eating. They were served on a hot plate, which was a unique style. The Modern-yaki had a generous portion and was surprisingly easy to finish. It was really delicious, as expected from a top-ranked restaurant. The Modern-yaki cost 1400 yen and the Negi-yaki with pork cost 1200 yen. In June, they are planning to open a new branch in Namba.
