Popular shop in Yoyogi! 29 Terrace has opened in the Shinjuku Gyoenmae area, close to restaurants like Jiro Manda and Shina Soba Sawada. It's about a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station. The highlight here is the limited quantity thick-cut negi-tan (beef tongue with green onions)! The thick slices of tongue, stuffed with generous amounts of green onions, look absolutely perfect! When grilled over high heat, the edges become crispy, offering a delightful combination of crunchiness and tenderness. Another visually stunning dish is the yukhoe (raw beef) kimbap, which is incredibly photogenic. The fresh yukhoe paired with rich egg yolk and rice creates a fantastic flavor combination, and it's filling enough to enjoy as your main dish or a side with meat. Also recommended as a closing dish is the trend-sensitive sirloin TKG (tamago kake gohan). Using a beautiful piece of marbled sirloin wrapped in green onions and served over rice, you finish it off by adding an egg—it’s a melt-in-your-mouth experience... The quality and presentation of the meat were top-notch. Plus, it's nice that a side of fresh vegetables is served to start, ensuring a variety of choices, and any leftovers can be made into a smoothie. I'm completely satisfied! ____________________ ▷ Dishes ordered ◁ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ Limited quantity thick-cut negi-tan 2,480 yen Melting negi-wrapped sirloin TKG 1,890 yen Kimbap (Korean-style seaweed roll) with yukhoe 380 yen Yukhoe sashimi 1,490 yen Roast yukhoe 2,480 yen

I visited the restaurant on a weekday at 5 PM. By a little after 6 PM, there were consistent arrivals of guests, and it was quite lively. Perhaps coincidentally, there were many foreign customers as well (the staff communicated fluently with them. Impressive!). The atmosphere in the restaurant wasn't noisy at all, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a relaxed setting. I think a barbecue place with this kind of ambiance is quite rare. First, we were served the appetizer, a colorful assortment of fresh vegetables. They are sourced directly from Chiba Prefecture and the Miura Peninsula every day, making them fresh, juicy, and delicious. These vegetables made us want to eat more. It was great that we could refill as much as we wanted, and any leftovers could be made into a smoothie, which was a delightful touch. The smoothie had no bitterness and concentrated the natural sweetness and umami of the vegetables, making it very drinkable and tasty. We ordered the domestic beef yukhoe sashimi, limited-quantity green onion tongue, and inside cut. The yukhoe sashimi paired perfectly with the creamy egg and the aroma of sesame oil. The meat melted in my mouth. The green onion tongue was wonderfully crisp and paired excellently with the tender tongue—no wonder it was recommended; it was exquisite! The thick-cut tongue was outstanding!! The inside cut had a strong richness and umami, and the balance with the fat was excellent. It’s clear why they focus on carefully selected A5-grade Japanese beef like Matsusaka, Tajima, and Yonezawa. Their original sauce was very rich and brought out the savory flavors of the meat well. I found that enjoying the meat first with salt and then with the sauce allowed the unique qualities of each to shine through, which was satisfying. To finish, we ordered cold noodles, which were refreshing but had a rich broth that was delicious. This was one of my favorite cold noodles I’ve ever had. Throughout the dining experience, the staff cleared our plates regularly and even changed the grill, which was well appreciated. I thought it was a very nice restaurant overall, and I would love to visit again if I get the chance. Thank you for the meal!

The yakiniku restaurant near Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station features a modern interior with a red and black color scheme. They offer grilled shabu-shabu with melt-in-your-mouth thinly sliced sirloin, which is cooked right in front of you by the staff. The meal includes rice, making it perfect to enjoy with a generous serving of meat on top! One of their highlights is the limited-quantity thick-cut negitan. This visibly thick beef tongue is available in limited amounts. First, you grill both sides, and finally, you finish cooking it with the green onions placed underneath, allowing you to enjoy the plump tongue and crispy green onions together. They also serve misuji, which has a melt-in-your-mouth texture. It’s best enjoyed with wasabi on the side.

It’s a very popular restaurant, 29 Terrace, located in Shinjuku Gyoen. Everything I tried was delicious, but what stood out the most was the thick-cut green onion beef tongue! Inside, it was packed with plenty of green onion, and the seasoning was so good that you could just grill it and eat it as is. It was tender and juicy ♡ My top recommendation is the grilled shabu-shabu sirloin. The staff will grill it for you, so you can enjoy the performance as well. Drizzle some sauce from the table over it and add an egg yolk on top of your rice ♡ You know what I mean, right?! Exactly. It’s heavenly!

I used this restaurant to invite friends from China. I tried the Kobe beef course, and while the overall menu was satisfying, the real highlights were the marinated harami and heart, which weren't included in the main selections. The overall meat quality was good, and the seasoning was fine, but I think it would be better if the green onion garnish had a milder flavor (less salt and sesame oil). Additionally, I got the impression that the scoring on the meat wasn't done properly. Considering these two points, I would rate the experience a 3.5.

The thick beef tongue is grilled on all three sides for 2 to 3 minutes each, creating a crispy exterior while keeping the inside juicy and tender. I indulged in a big, luxurious bite, and I was able to enjoy a blissful chewing experience for a while. The grilled shabu-shabu sirloin was impressively delicious. Just lightly searing the incredibly tender sirloin and placing it on rice, then topping it with a rich egg yolk, guaranteed it would be delightful! The appetizer was anything but ordinary, and I was surprised! If you can't finish it, they say they can turn it into a smoothie, and you can even get refills... But I was so full that I couldn't manage either, so I’ll have to wait for another chance. I visited early on a weekday, but more and more reservation guests kept coming in. There were also a few foreign customers, so maybe word is spreading among tourists? The staff's smiles and service were great, making for a wonderful experience! Thank you for the meal!

A yakiniku restaurant specializing in branded wagyu beef such as Kobe beef and Miyazaki beef. The interior has a modern and stylish atmosphere. Even though it is a wagyu specialty store, the prices were reasonable. Orders are placed by scanning a QR code. If you sit in the back, it may be hard to get a signal, so it’s best to connect to the restaurant's Wi-Fi. There are plenty of coin parking options nearby. ✼••┈What we ate┈••✼ - Kobe beef 5-item platter ¥8980 - Thick-cut green onion beef tongue ¥2480 - Special premium harami ¥2280 - Premium wagyu ribeye ¥2380 - Wagyu kalbi ¥1280 - Wagyu loin ¥1380 - Premium horumon ¥890 - Limited yukke sashimi ¥1590 - Melting wagyu nigiri (uni, wasabi) ¥890 - Rice ¥280 - Small egg soup ¥390 - Seasonal sorbet (apple) ¥490 - Gently melting almond tofu ¥490 - Soft drinks ¥500 each ✼••┈Summary of our thoughts┈••✼ There were three types of sauces: soy sauce, garlic miso, and salt. The soy sauce was a thick, rich type. The restaurant's signature thick-cut green onion beef tongue was limited in quantity, and each person could only order two pieces, which was disappointing. The Kobe beef platter was tender and refreshing, though I would have liked to taste a bit more richness from the fat. The premium horumon had no odor at all and while it was fatty, it had a light aftertaste! Even for someone like me who usually finds fatty cuts hard to handle, I enjoyed it completely. The premium wagyu ribeye was also tender and delicious. The ingredients in the egg soup were cut into squares, giving it a stylish look. It was tasty with a hint of sesame oil. The grilling was done with gas, which allowed for a perfect cook without overdoing it. The table charge was ¥600 per person. You could refill vegetables served in a bowl, and any leftovers could be turned into a smoothie at the end.

If you're a fan of beef tongue, you absolutely need to check this out! I can't help but fall in love with 29 Terrace, especially their signature Negitan, which I crave regularly. The thick, juicy slices of tongue are simply addictive. For beef tongue lovers, you have to try the "Negitan" at 29 Terrace, as it offers a unique texture and incredible flavor that lingers delightfully. Restaurant: "Yakiniku 29 Terrace Shinjuku Gyoen" Address: 1F・2F, Kinki Building, 1-12-11 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo ☑️ Points of recommendation for 29 Terrace: - Instead of an appetizer, you’re served a generous platter of fresh vegetables, which feels like a salad you could eat endlessly, and the best part is, it’s free to refill! Leftovers can even be turned into a smoothie for a nice treat at the end. - The meat is incredibly fresh and delicious. 29 Terrace specializes in wagyu barbecue, allowing you to enjoy the natural sweetness and aroma of the beef to the fullest. - The limited quantity of thick-cut Negitan not only looks visually stunning but also delivers a remarkable taste experience. The beef tongue, paired with generous amounts of green onions, truly feels luxurious. - The modern and stylish ambiance of the restaurant enhances the dining experience, making it suitable for various occasions. The grilled shabu-sirloin is prepared right in front of you by the staff, and when combined with a runny egg over rice, it becomes a lavish treat, the ultimate version of egg over rice! The meat melts in your mouth—it’s genuinely delicious. Something I highly recommend is the "Inside" harami, a cut that’s rich in fat. If you lightly grill it, you can enjoy a nice crispy exterior. The wasabi complements the fatty meat perfectly, preventing it from feeling heavy, allowing you to truly appreciate the best parts of the beef. I left feeling satisfied and full, enjoying a happy walk home. 29 Terrace is certainly a popular spot, so making a reservation in advance is essential, whether it’s a weekday or weekend. May your winter be filled with delightful meat experiences, and thank you for always serving amazing dishes! The sound of grilling meat is a treat in itself.

A popular yakiniku restaurant with three locations in Tokyo! I’ve been curious about it for a long time and finally visited. I went to the Shinjuku Gyoen branch. It was a weekday evening, but it was quite busy with reserved customers◎ ◆ Vegetable platter (appetizer) ∟ Surprisingly, the appetizer here is vegetables. You can grill them, eat them raw, or enjoy them with the meat! They even make a smoothie with the leftover vegetables. ◆ Limited quantity thick-cut wagyu tongue ¥2,480 ∟ I’ve wanted to try the thick-cut wagyu tongue for a while! It has plenty of green onions inside and is seasoned well, so you can eat it right after grilling. It's incredibly tender—an absolute must-try for tongue lovers. ◆ Premium wagyu Zabuton ∟ You can taste the deliciousness even without trying it... The balance of marbling and red meat is just right, offering a refreshing flavor that was delightful. ◆ Grilled shabu-sabu sirloin ¥1,680 ∟ This is definitely something I always order at yakiniku restaurants! The staff quickly grills the meat for you. The seasoning is mild, so I mixed it with the sauce on the table, egg yolk, and white rice. Delicious! ◆ Craft cola ¥800 It was an entirely satisfying dinner! The cost performance was great, making it perfect for when you want to enjoy delicious meat◎ I definitely want to go back again~~★

I've always wanted to try negitan (green onion beef tongue)! It was thick and really satisfying to eat! Just this dish alone provided an incredible sense of fulfillment ♡ I felt that the sushi had too little rice and not enough fatty part, so it was a bit hard to enjoy the flavor in one bite… While it definitely had a striking appearance, haha. The vegetables had a delicious dressing—apparently, it's homemade! ♡ The drink was on the sweeter side and very easy to drink ꒰ ∩´∇ `∩꒱

The other day, I visited Kobeya with my friend, and this time we came to Yakiniku 29 Terrace. We made a reservation, but the room we were taken to was not a private room; it was a table seating area separated by cloth, and we could see the people next to us. I would have preferred a place with a better atmosphere. The service was good, with polite and cheerful staff, but when we arrived, there was salt scattered on the table even though we hadn't ordered anything yet, which was a downside. We ordered beer, kimchi, thick-cut green onion tongue, premium ribeye, premium short rib, melt-in-your-mouth sirloin on rice, yukhoe (raw beef), and raw liver sashimi. For the finale, we had cold noodles. Everything was delicious, but I especially recommend the thick-cut green onion tongue and yukhoe.

I visited for lunch! I arrived late due to some errands and getting lost, so maybe that's why the staff grilled the sukiyaki beef for me first. The meal included kimchi, namul, salad, and soup, as well as unlimited drinks (orange juice, apple juice, corn tea, and green tea)! The beef tongue was the best — it was thick and very satisfying. The cost-performance is excellent too!

I had the recommended thick-cut beef tongue with green onions that I found on Instagram. It was definitely Instagram-worthy, and the taste was amazing as well. The moderate saltiness of the green onions paired with the thick, tender beef tongue was perfect. I also ordered special beef tongue, short ribs, and a mixed platter of offals, all of which were excellent. Though the prices were a bit high, I felt they were worth it for the quality. However, I had some trouble with the mobile ordering from my smartphone because the signal was weak, so just be careful with that!

The meat was delicious. However, it was busy on Friday, and while the initial course was served smoothly, the main meat dish was delayed. Even after an hour, it still hadn’t been served, so I had to check on it, and then they finally brought it out. That part was disappointing. Overall, I’m glad I enjoyed the meat!

Just a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoen Station! I visited Yakiniku 29 Terrace Shinjuku Gyoen. This place serves delicious grilled meat, focusing on high-quality "Wagyu." Popular on social media, their "Thick Cut Negitan" is a must-try, along with "Negi Wrapped Sirloin on Rice" and "Bone-in Kalbi," all offering a luxurious taste of carefully selected meats! The interior has a chic and calm atmosphere, making it perfect for after-work visits, celebrations, or tourists. This time, I ordered the limited Thick Cut Negitan, limited Yukhoe Sashimi, Wagyu Tatebara, a vegetable platter (with vegetable smoothie), and craft cola. The vegetable platter, which comes as a table charge, was fresh and paired beautifully with the set carrot dressing—it was super delicious! They turn leftover vegetables into a smoothie, which was also fresh and fantastic! The Thick Cut Negitan paired perfectly with the sweet flavor of the green onions, releasing umami and sweetness with every bite—it was an incredibly indulgent taste. The limited Yukhoe Sashimi used A5 rank beef and was melt-in-your-mouth tender! If you're nearby, I highly recommend checking it out!

This is a yakiniku restaurant in Shinjuku Gyoen that is often featured on TV and in the media. I decided to try their lunch because it seems like a good deal. I went for the 3000 yen lunch course. At first, 3000 yen might sound expensive, but once I saw what was included, I understood the price. First, there was a buffet-style salad along with kimchi and namul, which you could take as much as you wanted. There was also unlimited egg seaweed soup and rice. Then, they served us grilled sirloin. Although it was thinly sliced, it was quite large. The staff grilled it for us, and the flames were impressive, almost frightening! While the staff was grilling, I had to whip up a raw egg. Once the meat was done, they placed it in the raw egg, and it was delicious. The sirloin was excellent. However, I did notice a bit of a gas smell from the flames, which was a shame. All the other meats were tasty too, but the offal was tough and I couldn't finish it. The à la carte menu didn’t seem too pricey either, so I think I’ll try visiting for dinner next time.

I visited "Yakiniku 29 Terrace Shinjuku Gyoen," located just a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoen Station. The interior has a chic and calming atmosphere, making it an elegant space perfect for special occasions like dates or anniversaries. This time, I ordered the trending "Thick-Cut Negi Tan" and "Bibim Naengmyeon." The Thick-Cut Negi Tan features thick slices of beef tongue filled with a generous amount of green onions, creating a visually striking dish. Each bite releases the rich flavor of the meat, enhancing the sense of satisfaction. The Bibim Naengmyeon is served in a hollowed-out watermelon, which might make you think it’s fruit punch if you aren't aware it's a dish. When eaten with the Bibim Naengmyeon sauce, it offers a delightful and unusual texture. Additionally, I enjoyed dishes such as Uchimomo, Kalbi, and Premium Hormone and Minomoto. The particularly tender and juicy Kalbi stands out, as its natural sweetness fills your mouth. Biting into it lets you fully savor the meat's texture. The drink menu is also extensive; I had a "Blue Lemon Sour," which features a beautiful contrast between the vibrant blue and yellow of the lemon, making it visually appealing and tasty. With delicious meats, side dishes, and drinks, it’s a place you wouldn’t get tired of visiting. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy great Yakiniku near Shinjuku Gyoen. - The calm atmosphere allows you to enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. - Signature dishes like Thick-Cut Negi Tan and Shabu Shabu Melt-in-Your-Mouth Sirloin are exceptional. - The bone-in Kalbi, exclusive to Shinjuku Gyoen, is also a must-try. - There’s a wide range of drinks to enjoy alongside your meal. - Its convenient location, just a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoen Station, adds to its appeal. "Yakiniku 29 Terrace Shinjuku Gyoen" is the perfect spot to enjoy high-quality Wagyu beef, ideal for dates and special celebrations. - For those who want to enjoy high-quality Wagyu beef. - Especially if you love Thick-Cut Negi Tan or Shabu Shabu Melt-in-Your-Mouth Sirloin. - If you prefer dining in a calm atmosphere. - If you’re looking for delicious Yakiniku in the Shinjuku Gyoen area.

I was in the mood for thick tongue, so I made a reservation and visited this restaurant. The signature thick-cut green onion tongue met all my expectations in terms of both satisfaction and deliciousness. I visited on a weeknight for the first time. After searching, I found the Negitan (green onion tongue) looked really delicious, so I made a reservation. The beef yukhoe at the top of the menu was tasty, but the soy-sauce marinated egg yolk was a bit too salty for my liking; I preferred it with just the sauce. The service was a bit disappointing. The staff's attitude wasn’t bad, but they were having loud, crude conversations. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, and the taste was average. I think it’s a nice place for people in their early 20s to go on a date.

The first dish that came out was the meat wrapped in green onions, which I had never tried before. It was delicious when eaten on top of rice. I also enjoyed watching the cooking process right in front of me. The following meat dishes were all delicious too, and I was astonished at what I had previously considered barbecue. I definitely want to try the Tajima beef again.

After exploring Shinjuku Gyoen, my friends and I visited this stylish restaurant with a chic red and black interior. The vegetable appetizers are unlimited and include lettuce, daikon radish, bell peppers, eggplant, king oyster mushrooms, and garlic sprouts. If you have any leftovers, they offer a service to make a smoothie out of them. One of the highlights is the popular thick-cut grilled green onion beef tongue, which is limited in quantity. The staff explained that we should steam and grill it with the green onions at the bottom for two minutes, and then grill all four sides for three minutes each. Its rectangular shape makes it easy to cook. I opted for it to be well-cooked on all sides. The domestic beef yukhoe pairs perfectly with the creamy, sweet sauce. The collaboration with the egg yolk was a match made in heaven. The recommended wagyu beef is the inside cut, also known as harami. It comes seasoned, so you can enjoy it as is after grilling, or enhance its flavor with dipping sauces or garlic miso, both of which were delicious. They also offer a frozen fruit sour in seven varieties for 690 yen. The refillable sour for 290 yen is a great deal. Address: 29 Terrace, 1-12-11 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Omi Building 1F Phone: 03-5341-4339 Opening hours: 17:00 ~ 23:00 (12:00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)
