This is a Shiretoko Donuts. It says "Kumagoron in love" on it. When I ate it, a bear came out from inside. I had chocolate chips and Hokkaido pumpkin. The donut was fluffy. It was delicious.

On a Sunday in December, I went to pick up some appetizers, sushi, and boxed lunches that my parents had ordered for a memorial service. The total amount was 16,740 yen (tax included), with appetizers costing 5,000 yen, sushi 6,000 yen, and two boxed lunches at 2,000 yen each. I realized on the way that I had forgotten the cash at home, but thought I could pay with a card. However, to my surprise, the restaurant didn't accept cards. I was short about 4,000 yen, so I had to run to the nearest Seven Eleven ATM, which was about a kilometer away. It was frustrating that they couldn't accept card payments, considering the amount of the bill. The food was okay, nothing special, and some items seemed like they were frozen. The boxed lunch had tempura (shrimp, bell pepper, shiitake), crab gratin, grilled salmon, rolled omelette, shumai, steamed shrimp, shrimp gratin (frozen?), marinated salmon, simmered vegetables (butterbur, shiitake, carrot, konjac), and fried chicken. The crab gratin and shrimp gratin were disappointing, and the fried chicken and tempura were similar to what you can get at a local store. It wasn't worth the 2,000 yen. Overall, the excitement of opening the boxed lunch was lacking, and my family and I have decided to try a different place next time.

I found some cute animal donuts at the souvenir corner. It seems to be a product of this shop. They are moist and easy to eat, probably because they have a lot of butter. There are chocolate chips scattered throughout, so you can taste the chocolate flavor from time to time. It's just a delicious cake, and the visual appearance is good, making it perfect as a gift.

Kushiro Station, which feels a little lonely. Standing as a souvenir shop at Kushiro Station, Shikisai-kan. I happened to see some cute ones. Among the 4-5 types available, I purchased Chocolate Chip Donuts and Cocoa Donuts. I tried them at home. I didn't eat the face part. Basically, both taste similar. They are sweet overall, and when the chips melt, they become even sweeter. It feels like there is a bit more oil. Well, anything is okay because they are cute (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

I purchased "KUMAGORON" at Shikisai-kan in Kitami, where the products are displayed in a corner. The item I bought is a donut-shaped pastry filled with a cute filling. I will enjoy it on my way to Sapporo. The moist texture is more like madeleine or baumkuchen rather than a donut, with a sweet finish but not overpowering. I quite like it and I might try a different flavor next time. Thank you for the meal.
