I visited Yochi Town! Since I came all the way to Yochi, I wanted to stop by another place on my way back, so I randomly entered "Ichiryu-ke" that was in front of me (lol). This shop offers a variety of rice cakes, Japanese sweets, and Western sweets (including cakes). It's a shop with a little bit of everything. In the countryside (no offense intended), there are many shops like this, right? Surprisingly, I like them. I purchased sakura mochi, uguisu mochi, whiskey senbei, and the local specialty, "Shiripa." First, the sakura mochi and uguisu mochi were very soft with a firm red bean paste filling and a moderate level of sweetness. The whiskey senbei, shaped like a whiskey bottle, was interesting. It had red beans and raisins inside, but as someone who doesn't like raisins, I couldn't appreciate it (lol). As for Shiripa, it seems to be a local specialty of Yochi. It's a confection with red bean paste and whipped cream, resembling Hagi no Tsuki, with a sponge cake-like texture. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! If I have the chance, I'll definitely visit again.

A shop that I had overlooked even though I passed by it many times in my car. I started looking for a sweets shop or a bakery and then I noticed it. I thought it was a Japanese sweets shop, but it seems to focus more on Western sweets. The front is filled with Western sweets, and there are Japanese sweets on the right side. It says "Proud of the taste of chocolate rolls, a delicious cake shop" on the sign. There is also a cute old lady running the shop. Today is the day I get to see the cute old lady. I want to become a cute old lady in the future, so I hope to be cute to the people passing by, and I want to meet someone like that and become like them. Both cakes were moist and the cream was delicious. I imagine it's made by the grandfather or maybe the son. I didn't feel the presence of the person making them.
