The meat was delicious, and I especially liked the marinated meat. I enjoyed eating, drinking, and watching the races as the sun went down, which was a unique and satisfying experience.

I have arrived! Monbetsu Racecourse! I made a reservation at this restaurant to fully enjoy my time here. There are various types of seating options such as private rooms, banquet halls, or outdoor seating, but I wasn't sure which one to choose based on the information I had. When I visited the management office on the day of my reservation, they had a small lodge-like private room available, where we could enjoy Genghis Khan barbecue. I was already in a great mood before we even started. The menu only offered Genghis Khan, with the option to add noodles and other extras, but we decided to go with the basic meat and vegetable set. The portion was enough for 2-3 people and cost 2800 yen, which was quite reasonable. Each lodge had a TV and a heater. The staff set up the bucket Genghis Khan grill with solid fuel in the center of the table, brought in the prepared ingredients, and then it was up to us to start cooking. If you wanted to order drinks or other extras, you had to go to the management office. The Genghis Khan was marinated, and it seemed like a local Genghis Khan restaurant provided the ingredients. We started by placing the vegetables around the grill and the meat in the center. The meat slices were large, so we had to cut them with scissors as we cooked. The dipping sauce was mild with a familiar tangy and spicy flavor. The taste was nothing extraordinary, but the excitement of enjoying bucket Genghis Khan in this lodge made the experience unforgettable. The room filled with smoke as soon as we started cooking, and we had to quickly open the window for ventilation. Watching the horse race live broadcast on TV while eating added to the fun. Every racecourse has its own specialties, and this lodge with bucket Genghis Khan will be a memorable experience that I will never forget.

In the horse racing field, the "Bucket Genghis Khan" at the restaurant is famous! You can enjoy delicious Genghis Khan while watching the night races. It is available during the Hokkaido Keiba Monbetsu Night Races, which usually run from mid-April to early November on weekdays (Tue-Wed-Thu). Please note that on Tuesdays, the restaurant may be closed every other week, so check the Monbetsu Racecourse operating information. The Monbetsu Racecourse is located in Tomakomai, Hidaka Town, which is by the sea. Among the four racecourses in Hokkaido, only the Monbetsu Racecourse offers the opportunity to cook and eat Genghis Khan. It is convenient to travel by car. If you are driving from Sapporo, take the Doto Expressway and then the Hidaka Expressway to get off at "Mukawa IC" or "Hidaka Tomakomai IC". The website states that reservations are required, but we were able to enter without a reservation. However, even at 6:30 on a rainy day, it was already full, so reservations are recommended (reservations are accepted from 9:00 to 17:00). Once inside, place your order at the white building in the back. Please note that the last order is at 7:30. [Menu] A Set (for 2-3 people) Genghis Khan Set: 2800 yen, B Set (for 4-5 people) Genghis Khan Set: 3800 yen. Additional orders are also available. The Genghis Khan yakisoba is also famous. You eat by placing a Genghis Khan pot on top of a bucket, with just the right heat so it cooks quickly without burning! The pre-seasoned meat is tender, without any strong flavors, and delicious. The meat is sold by Takayanagi Shokai in Hidaka Town. The B Set for 4-5 people was just the right amount for 3 of us. I heard later that the "Shime Udon" (300 yen) is recommended. Shime Udon, cooked in the Genghis Khan sauce, sounds delicious! Next time, I will try the Shime Udon! There is also a mysterious "Shime Curry Rice" (laughs) that piques my interest. There is a "Summer House" (large room) and a "Grill House" (private room) where you can eat while watching the races. I wonder if you need to make a reservation for the Summer House? Both the Grill House and Summer House have TVs, so you can enjoy Genghis Khan while watching the live broadcast. There is also a group building that can accommodate up to 50 people, and on sunny days, you can take the bucket of Genghis Khan to the outdoor tables and enjoy it under the blue sky. I finally fulfilled my wish of eating "Bucket Genghis Khan" at the racecourse and I am satisfied!! Thank you for the meal!
