On a certain day in November 2017 (Late Autumn Quick Trip to Hakodate Part 5) I went on a quick trip to Hakodate with my friends! Upon arriving in Hakodate, we headed to the main event of the day, dinner. Our helpful friend, the "all-knowing expert", bid us farewell in Yakumo, leaving just the three of us. However, we had the compass (schedule table on LINE) created by the all-knowing expert. Following the instructions, we boarded the streetcar and decided to stop by "Siester Hakodate" to prepare for tomorrow's breakfast. We got off at Goryokaku Koen-mae and saw a building with MUJI. This was Siester. Upon investigation, it seemed that the breakfast at MUJI Cafe was different from what we expected, so we decided to discuss other options later and walked to Orso. As we walked from Suginami-cho Station on the streetcar route to Goryokaku Tower, the residential area was dark and sparsely populated. Just when we started to worry, we saw the large Goryokaku Hospital. Across from it was a stylish and small detached restaurant. This was Orso. You'll find out what Orso is when you go to the restaurant. Bear. lol We were a bit lost at the entrance. Even though we could see inside through the window, we couldn't quite enter, haha. Eventually, we made it inside. We told them our reservation name and they said they had a table prepared upstairs. As we went up the stairs, we found a small space with three table seats. There was a couple already there. The interior, predominantly red, was warm. We sat down and looked at the menu. The selection was limited, making it easy to choose. It seemed that the owner and chef was handling everything on his own, so he asked us to write down our orders on a memo and pass it to him. "OK, OK!" We started with a light charcoal-grilled seseri salad, shrimp and mushroom ajillo, and a three appetizer platter, and called the waiter to place our order. Shortly after, our drinks arrived and we made a toast! "Cheers!" The glass was clean, the foam, beer quality, and chill were all good. The Classic Sapporo beer was delicious! The complimentary Parma ham, prosciutto, was great. The ham was lightly drizzled with olive oil, the perfect amount of saltiness, and a chewy texture that was very tasty! We couldn't help but smile. The owner, who was handling everything alone, looked busy. Well, let's take our time and enjoy our drinks and food. Next, the seseri salad! The dressing was amazing! I was grateful and delighted that they chose to top the salad with this meat that I personally love so much. The three appetizers were luxurious for only 500 yen each!! Homemade beef pate on a baguette, caprese, and homemade smoked salmon! The thickly sliced, smoked salmon had a perfect aroma, and the olive sauce with chopped olives on top was the perfect accent. After drinking a few more beers, we ordered the deer lamp steak with charcoal-grilled wine sauce and finished with penne in wagyu meat sauce. I found The Glenlivet single malt, the standard, and ordered a highball. The deer steak arrived later. Cooked to a perfect pink, with a piece of radish that had absorbed the soup underneath. The elegant red wine sauce surrounded the island of radish and meat like a sea. It was delicious to eat them together, separately, or with the sauce on the baguette. Finally, the penne, cooked al dente, with a rich sauce that paired well and served as a satisfying finish. We were full and satisfied. After a short break, we chatted with the owner, who was kind, sincere, and friendly. My impression of him rose even higher. I would recommend it to those who can enjoy waiting times like that. It may be difficult to go to the bathroom when it's crowded, and there may be delays in product delivery, but it's a place where you can enjoy those waiting times. The bill for three people was 13 ===========
