I’m aiming to be the best izakaya in Japan! In Kyoto, where many places are pretty pricey, I found an amazing spot with incredible cost-performance! They have handmade hamburgers for just 600 yen! And they use beef from Kyoto! The blend includes tofu to lock in the juices, making it fluffy yet meaty—such a carefully crafted hamburger they make fresh every day! It’s served on a hot plate, and they pour the sauce right in front of you, so it’s sizzling hot with an appetizing aroma. The drinks were also fantastic, featuring a fruit-loaded sour, which can be made non-alcoholic as a soda. It looks super cute, and even though it’s frozen, the fruit tastes amazing. The staff recommended the thick omelet with sauce, which was piping hot and so soft you could hardly pick it up with chopsticks. I ended up ordering more rice because it was so delicious! It’s Koshihikari rice from Shiga Prefecture, and it’s the new crop—just perfect! When I visit an izakaya, I always have to order chicken sashimi and fried chicken. The chicken sashimi had a great texture with the nagaimo, making for a refreshing palate cleanser. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, very tasty! To finish, I had the “Takumi” ice cream, made from rich Hokkaido milk, which was so delicious I finished it in a flash! The location is super convenient, nearby the station, and the place is bright and welcoming. The staff are cheerful and provide great service! Even though it’s a new restaurant, it was already bustling with customers from the moment it opened. Here’s to aiming for the best in Japan!

I visited a restaurant that opened in August for the first time. As soon as I entered, I noticed there were four-person and two-person tables, along with four counter seats right at the entrance, and a kitchen in the center. There were also two more counter seats and a four-person table at the back, making the interior quite long. At first glance, it seemed like a small, cozy place, but I learned that the second floor can accommodate about 30 people. I started by ordering the recommended dishes from the staff: the omelette with dashi sauce and the limited quantity black Wagyu beef and Kujo green onion spring rolls. Both were amazing! The spring rolls, in particular, had a wonderfully chewy skin, crunchy green onions, and juicy Wagyu beef that was simply irresistible! I will definitely come back and order this again. The portions were quite generous, and I was full after just these two dishes. The cost performance was great, and you could really feel the care put into the cooking. For my second drink, I ordered a mega tomato sour, but unfortunately, it tasted more like standard commercial tomato syrup rather than using real tomato juice, which was a bit disappointing. However, I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

Each one is carefully shaped during preparation and then slowly cooked in the oven before serving, locking in rich meat juices. It's topped with a creamy white sauce made from cheese. The chicken sashimi is fantastic, with a perfectly balanced wasabi kick and a delightful crunchy texture from the yam. The special omelette with dashi sauce features a gentle dashi-based sauce over fluffy, soft eggs, making it incredibly tasty. Overall, this izakaya serves delicious food and is conveniently located just a minute’s walk from Saiin Station, making it great for drinking until the last train!

The interior is super cute... the atmosphere is just amazing. Every drink pairing is delicious... even if you don't drink, you can definitely enjoy the food at this tavern. The raw salmon cutlet, fruit sour, chicken sashimi, fried chicken, and serious dashi omelet were all incredibly tasty. Oh, the fried chicken... it's even better than what you'd get at a fried chicken shop!

I used a course with all-you-can-drink draft beer for 6,300 yen. The portions were generous, and every dish was delicious. The standout dish was the salmon and ikura (salmon roe) rice bowl. I forgot to take a picture, but the signature dish, the rare fried salmon cutlet, was also fantastic. Surprisingly, each person got a plate with 4 to 5 pieces! There were many other intriguing menu items, so next time I want to try various dishes à la carte.

We went to this place for our second stop! Last time we sat on the first floor, so this time we tried a table on the second floor. It's conveniently close to the station, and surprisingly affordable, making it perfect for a second stop! The dishes we ordered this time were: ✔︎ Toro-taku (fatty tuna with cucumber) ✔︎ Assorted sausages ✔︎ Roasted Kyoto duck ✔︎ Fried chicken cartilage ✔︎ Salmon sashimi! The appetizer was something like seared yellowtail, and it was incredibly delicious – I wish they would put it on the menu! ^ ^ All the menu items were under 1000 yen, which is just so cheap! Despite the low prices, the food is reasonably good, making this place really practical. Also, the glasses for the drinks are cute, so it might be a nice spot for a girls' night out!

I visited Kyosakaba Danran located in Saiin. It’s just a one-minute walk from Saiin Station, making it very convenient! The exterior is stylish, making it a great spot for girls' night out or dates. The restaurant offers counter seating, tables, and private rooms, so it’s perfect for anything from solo drinks to large group gatherings. While they do have course meals, we opted for individual dishes. The menu is quite extensive, so there's a lot to choose from. I ordered the recommended teppan cheese hamburger! It arrived sizzling hot on the iron plate. It’s deliciously juicy on its own, but adding the demi-glace sauce enhances the flavor even more. At just 600 yen, it’s also a great value. In addition to that, we tried various dishes including chicken sashimi, long yam and chicken breast, the special egg roll with sauce, Danran's fried chicken, and potato fries. Each dish has a unique twist that makes it special. The fruit sour drinks are also cute in presentation and taste, so I highly recommend ordering at least one!

I visited a new restaurant that has opened. I ordered the signature dish, rare salmon katsu, sizzling cheese hamburger, simmered game meat with beef tendon, and a rolled omelet with sauce. The rare salmon katsu was thick and satisfying, and when paired with homemade tartar sauce, it was moist and really brought out the flavor of the salmon. The cheese hamburger, wrapped in a white cheese coating, was meaty and juicy. The beef tendon stew had a slightly sweet flavor and didn't have the gamey taste or odor you'd expect from game meat. The rolled omelet with sauce was bubbling enticingly when I opened the lid of the clay pot, making it very appetizing. I enjoyed these delicious dishes with draft beer, rich craft beer, and a visually appealing strawberry fruit sour. Normally, I don't drink sweet alcohol, but surprisingly, the fresh fruit sour was quite delicious.

I had originally planned to go to a different restaurant, but I happened to walk past this place and the staff called out to me, so I decided to stop in! It looks like it just opened around August 10th. The interior and exterior were filled with a lot of flowers. On the first floor, there are counter seats, table seats, and semi-private areas, and it seems there are more table seats on the upper level. This time, I sat at the nearest table to the entrance. When I looked at the menu, everything was so cheap that I thought, "Is it okay to charge these prices in this location?" I ordered the following: ✔︎ Sea bream carpaccio ✔︎ Grilled yam with cheese ✔︎ Oil-pickled oysters ✔︎ Tuna and avocado dip ✔︎ Fried chicken of the day ✔︎ Rare salmon cutlet ✔︎ Stewed game meat and beef tendons. The prices were surprisingly low for a restaurant close to the station, which was a bit shocking! However, the portions were satisfying enough for a first stop. What I found particularly delicious were the fried chicken of the day and the rare salmon cutlet! The fried chicken had a strong flavor that I liked, and the rare salmon cutlet not only looked good but tasted great as well! The drinks included fruity sours, which I believe are the restaurant's signature menu items. There were also non-alcoholic options, including tonic-based drinks. Perhaps because it had just opened, the staff member who served us seemed a bit nervous and was somewhat unfriendly, but overall, I was satisfied. I went with my husband this time, but I think it would be perfect for a girls' night out too!

All the recommended dishes were delicious. Everything we ate was tasty and very reasonably priced, so we were able to eat our fill and drink plenty of alcohol without any surprise in the bill. The regular drink menu included a mega size option, which was a great deal. The entire place was lovely. I was also delighted to get a 10% off coupon through their fortune slip service. The staff members were all friendly and welcoming, making for a very comfortable atmosphere. I definitely want to visit again.

The salmon cutlet was delicious. The signature curry was sweet and easy to eat, and when paired with bread, it became even more delicious, and it went well with drinks. I felt so relaxed on the comfy sofa that I almost forgot I was dining out. The owner is a charming and handsome guy. I definitely recommend checking it out!

This stylish restaurant is located right near Saiin Station along Shijo Street. All the dishes that were served were delicious! They also have a good variety of drinks, so I think you can enjoy a nice time drinking. There's a projector, so if you're seated close, you might be able to enjoy watching music videos while you’re there.

I visited twice! The owner used to play baseball, and the decorations, like small items, have designs resembling baseball team logos, which is really nice! The portions are small, allowing you to enjoy a variety of dishes! Thank you for the meal!
