The restaurant had a simple building with two staff members, the head chef and a woman. It had a cozy atmosphere where you could enjoy sushi. We ordered sushi a la carte. The surf clam was delicious as expected.

I traveled along the old national road from Hakodate towards Muroran, passing by Nagamambe station, with Amataro Shokudo on the right hand side. I turned there and found Sushi Kojyu. As I entered the store through the automatic door, despite it being lunchtime, no one came out. I could hear noises from the kitchen, so I called out and finally the owner came out. She didn't give me a menu, but verbally told me there were options for 1050 yen, 1500 yen, 2000 yen, and 2500 yen. I ordered the 2000 yen one. When I asked if abalone was included, the owner said it was actually Hokkigai, but the head chef insisted on including abalone. The sushi included flounder, fatty tuna, abalone, salmon, shrimp, crab, flying fish roe, salmon roe, and sea urchin. Since I had the special addition of abalone, it became a special premium set. I wanted to take a picture of the menu on my way out, but they said they didn't have menus available.
