On Saturday, September 19, 2023 at 12:30, my wife, daughter, and I went to a food market. My daughter was interested in something else, but the chicken shoyu ramen won out. It cost 750 yen and had a delightful texture with al dente noodles and a chicken shoyu broth that was just right. It was definitely worth the visit. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted the photo of my son's ramen set, which cost 980 yen and was a salt ramen. It was perfect with a chicken hamburger and finely chopped onions as accents, a perfect match for the chicken shoyu broth. We shared and enjoyed the salad and small rice. We were completely satisfied with our meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

Visited the restaurant on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 13:15. The temperature was 32℃ and the air conditioning was on, which was much appreciated. I was craving a clear broth soup, so I ordered the salt ramen for 750 yen with a light flavor and 1/3 lard. The noodles were cooked perfectly to my liking, and the taste was absolutely delicious. The pork belly chashu slices were about the size of 2.5 one-yen coins each and very tender, pairing well with the gentle soup. The bamboo shoots had a nice texture and no overpowering taste. I heard that the soup base is the same as the shoyu ramen, but the salt ramen had a refreshing taste. I might try the shoyu ramen next time! Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal. Thank you very much!

In the afternoon of July 8, 2023, my third son in junior high suddenly said, "I want to eat a delicious set meal." I compared Harukaze, Nankinrou, and Tsukamoto on Tabelog and decided to choose Harukaze based on my mood. I ordered the daily ramen set (salt) for 980 yen, with chicken Yurinchi as the topping. The chicken bone clear soup was delicious, and the unique clear soup ramen in Asahikawa, combined with the authentic lard fragrance, was excellent. The firm, low-water noodles had a satisfying texture, and the chicken Yurinchi the size of a toddler's fist provided a good amount of food. It was delicious and the rice went down smoothly, and the plenty of vegetables were also a nice touch. I also ordered the daily set meal for 980 yen, which included a "set meal golden triangle" of sashimi, grilled dish, and fried dish. The set included tuna, scallop, and salmon sashimi, grilled dried Atka mackerel, chicken Yurinchi, Italian salad (marinated style), and a pork miso soup with plenty of ingredients. Thanks to the generous portions of side dishes, we ran out of rice, so I added a small rice for 100 yen and shared it with my son. It was a very satisfying lunch for the two of us. Thank you for the meal.

Today's ramen set with chicken tempura and the daily special set for 980 yen included tuna, salmon, and scallop sashimi, grilled salmon, hamburger, and sesame dressing salad. The colorful and luxurious set was delightful, enjoyable, and delicious. Each dish felt like it was made with care and effort, truly delicious. The miso ramen with "chicken bone miso" was unique, with a refreshing yet flavorful soup that was irresistible. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The soy sauce in the ramen is refreshing but the umami flavor is irresistibly delicious. The noodles are similar to Asahikawa noodles, slightly thinner, and very tasty. The chicken meatballs (like large hamburgers) with a hint of bean sprouts inside, paired perfectly with grated ponzu sauce. The salad, wrapping radish in lettuce and dressing, was good. The eggplant side dish was simple and heartwarming. I got very full, leaving a bit of rice and meatballs behind. Thank you for the meal.

I have always liked Harukaze-san's ramen. The noodles are Sudo Seimen's low hydration type and both the noodles and soup are very delicious. Recently, the daily special set meal has become more luxurious and the cost performance is really good. Each dish is well seasoned and the rice is cooked just the way I like it. The addition of sashimi to the set meal is a hit, especially with women. It's a restaurant that I want to visit regularly. Thank you for the meal.

Daily Ramen Set 980 yen (Pork Loin Cutlet + Ramen + Small Rice + Pickles) It's been a while since I visited Harukaze. Previously, they had a variety of menu options even for lunch, but now it seems like they only offer daily set meals or ramen. So, I decided to go for the one with the most variety, the "Daily Ramen Set." I placed my order, and the service was a bit lacking as they often had to ask "Yes?" as if they couldn't hear me well. The food arrived in a few minutes. For 980 yen, it was quite a luxurious set. But how did it taste? Well, it was just average... I feel like the rating could have been a bit better. Everything tasted like something you could buy at a supermarket, lacking any distinct flavor. The ramen was similar to supermarket instant ramen with sauce. So, overall, it was just okay.

Today's lunch was at Harukaze, where I had the daily special set meal for 980 yen. It came with salmon and tuna sashimi, spicy cod roe, Atka mackerel, and vinegar chicken. The restaurant has counter seating, window-side raised seating, and regular tables. The food was served quickly and had a home-cooked taste, making it feel like I was eating at home while watching TV.

I knew that ramen has been delicious in Kinboshi Town since before. Today's set meal had a homey touch with plenty of onions and breadcrumbs, but the "grilled" part was nicely crispy and the balance was good. The side dishes were also delicious, with a half-cooked rolled omelette, blanched spinach with bonito flakes, sweet and spicy simmered beef, tarako (cod roe) mixed with lotus root, homemade pickled Chinese cabbage and cucumber, and a miso soup with plenty of wakame seaweed and fried tofu. Everything was excellent. I am satisfied, thank you for the meal.

It's hot. No, it's too hot. I feel like I'm going to melt completely if it stays like this. So, today I decided to eat something cold. But... cold udon or soba is too ordinary. Come to think of it, I haven't had cold noodles yet this year. But... 2nd visit near Kamikawa Shrine, on Platanus Street. If you're not careful, you might miss it. There is a parking lot in front of the store and on the side, I think. On this day, I actually passed by once and went quite far before turning back. The menu... Wait... no cold options. Last time I came here, I had one of the set meals. It was quite substantial and delicious. But this time, I wanted something cold to eat. Maybe even have shaved ice for lunch because it's so hot. But... I couldn't find it, so I asked the staff. They had it... but it wasn't cold noodles. Here, they have cold ramen. Asahikawa often refers to cold noodles as cold ramen, as I mentioned before, but I still think they are different. So, since they had cold ramen here, that's why I came. By the way, on the right is the Genghis Khan & Ramen set for 980 yen and on the left is the cold ramen. I actually want to eat Genghis Khan BBQ style. What caught my attention was... Takeout - Reservation Limited Mega Pork Bowl for 1000 yen!!! 20 slices of pork belly, 3 cups of rice, which means... with 3 cups of rice, it's almost 1 kg, so it's a bento box that weighs over 1 kg. This... I have to go challenge the manager. But, it's takeout only, so I need to find a place to eat it. Cold Shoyu Ramen with Spicy Miso for 780 yen. But, today's goal was this. Cold ramen. Yes, this is what cold noodles are all about. The soup is cold, of course. It felt a bit odd to have ice in the ramen soup, but since I'm used to cold noodles, it didn't feel that strange. Personally, I wish it was even colder. The toppings included green onions, bamboo shoots, sesame... and it said boiled pork but... no, it was boiled pork. It used to be pork belly in the menu photo, but I wonder if it changed to pork loin. The bamboo shoots were quite lightly flavored. They were chewy. They're quite bouncy because they're blanched first. But, it's ramen, not cold noodles after all. The taste of the soup was quite light and not very punchy. It feels smooth to eat when you have an appetite during hot summer days. At other times, if you ask for it to be a bit stronger, it might have more punch. And, what caught my attention was... homemade spicy miso. It's made with chili peppers and has a crispy texture with seeds in it. It also has a hint of prickly ash, which adds an accent. At first, I thought it was just a little spicy chili oil from the appearance, but... it was different... it was... so spicy!!! I couldn't handle it. Despite being fine with super spicy curry, this was impossible... I couldn't handle it. I drank 3 glasses of water. Just to try, I put a little bit on the spoon. If I put it all in, I wouldn't be able to eat it. I put a little bit in. I didn't reset my mouth. But, after calming down a bit, I ate everything and put the remaining spicy miso in the soup. It was quite small lumps floating in it. So... I took a tiny bit of the challenge!!!! It was... I shouldn't have done it!!! It was so spicy!!! This is... so spicy!!! Maybe people who are fine with spicy food should try it as it is. On the way back, I bought coffee at the adjacent Seicomart to soothe my tongue. Thank you for the meal.

I often crave ramen, and I really like the gentle taste of Harukaze-san's ramen. I usually order the ramen set, but I also try the limited-time specials. Today, I had the "Pork, Komatsuna, and Cheese Spring Roll" set. It was written on the blackboard as a daily special. In the past, there used to be meat set and fish set options, with ramen as a separate dish, but this time, it seemed like you could choose between ramen or rice with the meat set. The ramen set arrived hot and fresh, with the spring roll looking homemade and delicious, especially with the cheese. Harukaze-san's food is always tasty. Although the parking lot is a bit difficult to navigate, whenever I see an empty spot, I can't resist stopping by Harukaze-san's restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

This is a shop near Kagurazaka Park. There are three parking spaces, but the slope is quite steep, so you need to make sure to firmly engage the handbrake to avoid rolling onto the road. Interestingly, this is a shop where you take off your shoes and change into slippers. The only option on the menu is the Iberico moyashi maze soba. It arrived in just over 5 minutes, served in a large bowl with plenty of pork and bean sprouts. There are tempura crumbs and white sesame floating on top. The soup has a slightly strong soy sauce flavor. The Iberico pork has no unpleasant smell and its sweetness and fatty richness blend well with the soup. The bean sprouts seem to have been boiled separately and lack flavor. If they were seasoned with the pork extract, it would have made a different impression. The noodles are medium-thin curly noodles, slightly more than what you would get at a regular ramen shop. Maybe it's just me? The noodles were cooked a bit firm, which is to my liking. The bamboo shoots were desalted.

I visited a restaurant for dinner and drinks, but it was unexpectedly closed. Feeling like having ramen, I remembered that Harukaze had delicious food and drinks. So I decided to visit for the second time that night. I ordered the Genghis Khan and Ramen set for 980 yen, along with a bottle of beer. The restaurant only had bottled beer due to the current circumstances, but that was fine. I also ordered fried natto and pickles as snacks. The homemade pickles were perfectly seasoned and the fried natto had a crispy texture with just the right amount of flavor. The Genghis Khan was tender and delicious, cooked to perfection. The homemade sauce and salt were also tasty. The ramen was as delicious as ever, even when eaten late at night. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

The set meals are delicious and the ramen is my favorite type, light and clear soup always served hot. The interior of the restaurant, which I visited after a long time, still has a cozy atmosphere like a regular house. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. I remember a long time ago, maybe last year, when Tail Long-san was eating a ramen with lots of leeks... I think it was Harukaze-san's dish. Yes, I found it! It's the "Niku Miso Nira Soba" for 800 yen. It's a salt-based soup which goes well with leeks. It was served promptly in about 10 minutes. The aroma of leeks is strong! The condition of the noodles is just right and delicious. The soup, however, is a bit slimy for Harukaze-san's standard, which is rare. So the leeks remain crunchy. Personally, I would have preferred them a bit softer. But leeks are fine to eat raw too. I also added some chili pepper provided separately. It's not as spicy as it looks, but it adds an extra kick. The saltiness of the soup is perfect and to my liking. It was a very hot day, so I felt like I got some prevention against summer fatigue and nutrition from the meal. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived in Asahikawa for an afternoon appointment. I found a ramen shop that opens at 9 am, but unfortunately, it was closed until 11 am. I decided to wait and arrived at the shop just in time for its opening. The shop had a cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating. I ordered the "Salt Ramen" for 650 yen. The service was a bit cold, but the ramen itself was tasty. The noodles were straight and thin, the menma was well-seasoned, and the soup had a good balance of flavor. Overall, it was a satisfying meal despite the initial setback of the shop being closed.

I used it for lunch on the way to an outdoor job! The inside of the restaurant where you take off your shoes and enter feels like you're visiting someone's home. It's a very relaxing place. The set meals with homemade side dishes and the ramen seem to be popular. The recommended lunch on this day was the "Cheese Hamburger Plate." It seems that a drink is included in the set, but I was interested in the meat set, so I ordered that. (I can always have coffee back at the office, haha.) I ordered the "Pork and Lettuce Roll with Salt Ponzu" (680 yen including tax) for this day's "meat set." It was served in about 7-8 minutes. I usually eat lettuce raw, but it's interesting that you can eat it like this! The lettuce is wrapped in pork and then grilled! The lettuce has a moist texture, and the pork has a nice sear. The ponzu sauce with green onions has a good kick from the black pepper and is quite delicious! I'll dip the pork and lettuce roll in it and try it! It's really tasty! I can eat this! This is the main dish, but it also came with simmered dish, rolled omelette, potato salad, and pickles, all homemade and very satisfying. The price is also reasonable! On this day, it was miso soup with nameko mushrooms and tofu, which was also delicious, making it a well-balanced lunch overall! Thank you for the meal!

Harukaze-san quit smoking a while ago and I remembered it, so I visited the restaurant after a long time. It's not a ramen specialty shop, but I like their light ramen and noodles. I was happy with the set menu. On this day, I had the "Pork loin cutlet & mini salt ramen" set. The daily special set is also popular, where you can choose between fish or meat. The rice is cooked just the way I like it, always delicious. The ramen had thinly sliced pork instead of chashu, but Harukaze-san made it delicious as always. I might like this more than some ramen specialty shops. It's a good value for the portion size and price, and the taste is satisfying for lunchtime. The staff is also friendly and homey, always leaving a good impression. The only downside is that it's hard to park because of the location, and you have to take off your shoes to enter, which might be a bit inconvenient. I've never worn slippers before and I don't like it... Maybe I should try entering on my hands? (laughs) It was delicious as always. Thank you for the meal.

The ramen that caught my eye the most in the ramen feature on the liner! I decided to go eat it, and since they also had beer, I took a walk in the evening for about an hour to get there. First, beer♪ And then I ordered the ramen with leeks and spicy miso. The appetizer was curry-flavored tofu, spicy and delicious! The ramen was salt-based, with the refreshing crunch of leeks. The sweetness of the meat miso paired perfectly with it. The addition of red chili peppers for flavor change was also good! And then the spicy miso ramen. It had a lot of Korean red chili peppers? But it was deliciously spicy. There were plenty of vegetables, more than it looked like. Eating the leeks and spicy miso alternately while drinking beer was really smooth. Next time, I'll try ordering one bowl of ramen and one dish. Bon appétit! By the way, I watched the liner and brought a coupon, but I forgot to use it. (laughs)

"Completely Non-Smoking" A few months have passed since the last visit to the lunch ramen, leaving a slight doubt... I choose to believe it was just a coincidence, and visit to satisfy my ramen craving. Lunchtime is popular for its great value sets. The secret to its popularity is not just the value, but also the delicious taste. The homey seasoning and well-balanced menu make it much tastier than other ramen shops. Well, it's a matter of preference, though (laughs). I'll have the "Pork Shabu-Shabu with Sesame Ponzu Flavorful Vegetables" as my side dish, instead of a set. The rich sesame ponzu goes well with the light pork shabu-shabu and blanched lettuce. The marinated eggplant, onions, and paprika that came with the draft beer are also delicious with a hint of vinegar. I really like the seasoning by Harukaze-san. Now, onto the ramen from last time. Today, I'll have the "Shoyu Ramen." It was as good as always. Please don't ask me about the chashu (roast pork) this time (laughs).

Today's weather started off sunny in the morning, but it cleared up in the evening. I just checked and the sky was beautiful with stars. It might get cold tomorrow morning. Now, let's talk about the restaurant I visited on the 3rd night, "Kuukyo Harukaze" located at 8-2 Kaguraoka, Asahikawa. It was my first visit. You have to take off your shoes at the entrance and put on slippers. The interior of the restaurant is cozy, and they also serve alcohol at night. The menu includes ramen starting from 600 yen, as well as rice dishes like curry, katsudon, and butadon. They also have set meals and teishoku. On the day I went, they were serving Genghis Khan as one of the meat teishoku options. I ordered the Negi Karame Miso Ramen for 750 yen. The spice in the soup was not in powder form but crushed red pepper. The negi (green onions) was a bit different from what I expected. The chashu (sliced pork) was thick and the noodles were from Suto Seimen. The soup had a nice level of spiciness and was delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
