I went for the charcoal-grilled lunch set. Instead of having charcoal set up at the table, they brought a set of charcoal to us. The set included soup, salad, an appetizer, meat, and rice. The salad was crispy and had Korean seaweed on top, making it delicious. The meat was tender and tasty as well. For dessert, I ordered strawberry condensed milk. The packaging was cute! It was really delicious, but it was super hard, so I thought it would have been better if they had brought it out a bit earlier.

An excellent agent from the "Maya Detective Agency" went missing after leaving behind a mysterious phrase: "The 8th of every month is..." (Looks like they really enjoy playing detective—LOL). Maya managed to infiltrate the secret society "Tabelog" and succeeded in making a reservation online (Hey, that's just booking a table!). Upon arrival, they're greeted cheerfully. Hehe… what a carefree guy, unaware he's talking to a detective. "Today we have a special…" W-what did you just say?! "Today is the 8th, and drinks are 88 yen." Come on, don't say that—I wanted to have a bit more fun playing detective! I finally reunited with Agent Hosokun, who had gone missing. Let’s celebrate with a 88 yen draft beer! We started with a kimchi platter and then ordered top-quality beef, including Chateaubriand and Oita beef short ribs… etc. We usually wouldn't order such expensive meat, but since drinks are cheap, we ordered a lot! Everything was tender and delicious, but the meat that wasn't labeled as premium had a slight smell. To keep it brief, just check out the pictures. As for the 88 yen drinks, Maya is fine as long as there's beer, but if you want other options, make sure to choose wisely. The guy who seems to be the manager confirmed, "This drink isn't 88 yen, is that okay?" But the young girl working there didn't ask at all. I got a bit carried away and ordered too much (*'▽'*) Feeling stuffed to the brim, I weighed myself when I got home and saw I was over 80 kg (°▽°). Looks like I’ve become an 8 too! Gnuuuu… Thank you for the meal!

The special Ota beef platter is a must-try menu item. Ota beef is rare Tajima beef produced by Ota Farm, a Kobe beef production farm. This high-quality premium meat has an exquisite balance of lean and fatty flavors that you can only get in special places. - **Special Ota Beef Platter**: Includes tender filet, brisket, misuji, and large pieces of tokubetsu ribeye. The filet is large yet incredibly tender, melting in your mouth. Osaka Momodani's charcoal-grilled Yakiniku Eight Momodani is delicious and offers reasonable prices! This time, I ordered a la carte. - Beef Tongue Platter (Premium Thick-Cut Tongue, Upper Salted Tongue, Tongue Suir, Tongue Salt): This platter is perfect for tongue lovers! Everything was delicious, but the thick-cut tongue was the standout! Its texture and juiciness were great, making it perfect with rice! - Wagyu Aburi Yukke: Fresh and the sauce and egg yolk matched perfectly! It had a nice bite and the seasoning was exquisite! - Ota Beef Special Platter (Special Cut Mistuj, Kurimi, Fillet, Marinated Upper Rib): A luxurious platter! The Misuji had a deep flavor with sweet fat that was delicious! Wrapping it in green onions was also good! The Kurimi is best when quickly grilled! The Fillet paired perfectly with salt, being tender and full of flavor! You can't go wrong with this platter! There are plenty of other tempting dishes! I enjoyed the exquisite Ota beef! The restaurant has a clean atmosphere, and I've heard they've started lunch service too!

On April 23rd, we visited "Sumibiyaki Yakiniku Eight Momodani" with three people. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic charcoal-grilled yakiniku featuring homemade, carefully selected A5 rank Ota brand black Wagyu at a reasonable price, so we were looking forward to it! We were particularly excited about the delicious special green onion sauce that pairs perfectly with the meat. Here’s what we ordered: * Ota beef deluxe assortment for 3-4 people (5,480 yen): This dish uses only high-quality meat, featuring four different cuts (special top sirloin, tenderloin, skirt steak, and marinated upper rib). Each cut has its unique flavor. * Assorted beef tongue (premium thick-cut tongue, top-grade salted tongue, regular tongue, and tongue flap) for tasting different kinds of tongue (2,980 yen for one serving). * Charred black Wagyu yukhoe (1,080 yen). The original special green onion sauce made with Ota beef was incredible! The warm green onion sauce was simply delicious. The thick-cut tongue had a rich and melting flavor, and the thinly sliced top sirloin was delicious when lightly grilled. This place is great to visit after hanging out in Koreatown. I ordered three items: Black Wagyu Yukke for ¥1,080, an exquisite assorted platter of Ota beef for ¥5,480, and a selection of beef tongue for ¥3,480! The Yukke was definitely the right choice! The Ota beef, particularly the Misaki and tenderloin, was amazing, and I highly recommend the thick-cut beef tongue!
