The inside of the restaurant is very clean. The Taiwanese sister is very kind and always smiles^^ The taste of the lamb skewers and the street food-style dishes are delicious. We ordered two dishes, one draft beer, and two glasses of plum wine, and the total was around 3,800 yen. Considering the location, environment, and quality, I don't think it's expensive at all. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

Sometimes, lunch buffets at Chinese restaurants in Tokyo are featured on evening news programs, and I've been curious about them. I hesitated to go because I worried it would be overcrowded and the food would be gone. However, feeling like having Chinese food one day, I suddenly decided to visit a place I'd bookmarked for a lunch buffet. It's located in Shinbashi, a bit of a distance from the station, on the second floor of the Sotetsu Fresa Inn, accessible via an outdoor staircase. I initially had trouble finding the entrance and ended up walking a long way around. Upon entering, I paid 1,000 yen at the register right in front. They also accept cashless payments. After that, I received a tray and a cup and sat at a table of my choice. I arrived around 12:45 PM, and the restaurant had a pleasantly moderate number of customers. It might be a hidden gem since it's a bit away from the station. The crowd mainly consisted of office workers. The selection of dishes that day included mapo tofu, stir-fried green peppers with beef, shrimp and egg in chili sauce, stir-fried short ribs, liver with chives, stir-fried bok choy, mapo eggplant, cold cabbage, small fried dumplings, and a vegetable salad, along with white rice, fried rice, and thick Chinese soup. For dessert, there was almond jelly. The beverage pitcher contained brownish iced tea, which could have been mugicha (barley tea) or oolong tea, although I wasn't sure. Paper napkins, wet wipes, chopsticks, and soup spoons were neatly arranged in one place for self-service. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but they had a solid selection of popular dishes that were replenished frequently. The flavors were relatively mild, and everything tasted good. At just 1,000 yen, it was quite a bargain! I really enjoyed it. The restaurant is fairly new, giving it a clean atmosphere that would make it comfortable for women to use. The restrooms were also clean and separated by gender. I definitely plan to return the next time I’m in the mood for Chinese food. Thank you for the meal!

Saturday was relatively quiet, so I decided to give it a try. It's definitely a place that offers good value and decent food. However, after 1 PM, the pace of additional dishes slows down, which can feel frustrating if you want to try more. Even when items run out, they don't seem to restock quickly. The drinks include weak barley tea in a bag. Among the 12 dishes, there were two that stood out as excellent. The yakisoba (fried noodles) was praised by others around me for its great taste. The prawn and egg in sauce dish had a generous amount of prawns, and the stir-fried beef with green peppers included garlic shoots, which paired wonderfully with rice. The soup was also quite flavorful. During peak hours, it can get so crowded that you might not find a seat and may have to share a table with other guests. It's popular enough that even locals enjoy it, which speaks to its good flavor.

I used this restaurant for a reunion with former colleagues. The place has an open layout with tables lined up. We enjoyed a skewered dish course with an all-you-can-drink option, and we ordered drinks via a tablet. The meal started with an appetizer, and the main course consisted of various skewers, with the lamb being particularly delicious. We finished off with fried rice. The cost performance was decent.

On July 12, 2023 (Wednesday), a Chinese izakaya relocated and reopened. Previously, it offered northeastern Chinese street food but has completely transformed its concept into a moody Chinese restaurant. The "Choi Aniki Set" (1,000 yen) is available from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, featuring a choice of drink, cold dish, and main dish. You can choose from draft beer, century eggs, or three skewers of lamb. Perhaps due to the change in concept, the place was lively with young men and women in their 20s. Revisiting notes from when it previously served northeastern Chinese street food, I found I preferred that style. --- On November 30, 2024 (Saturday) during dinner in Tokyo, you'll find a "Chinese restaurant" in every town, but this may be the one that offers the most authentic Chinese experience in Shinbashi. Tucked away in a back alley, it's a northeastern Chinese street food shop. They serve skewers made from lamb, pork, beef, chicken, and duck, grilled over charcoal. Upon entering, the staff were surprised to see me. The dark narrow path makes it feel a bit intimidating, and there were no menus available, confirming its challenging facade. Both the staff and the customers were primarily Chinese, leaving me as the only Japanese person, creating a complete sense of being out of place. I squeezed into a small spot at the end of the counter. When the staff entered the private rooms, they greeted each other with "你好 (Nǐ hǎo)." Customers picked up their dishes saying "谢谢 (Xièxiè)," which was the only Chinese I could catch. The flow of Mandarin created a pleasant sound, but the feeling of being an outsider lingered. I couldn’t help but think of "Lonely Gourmet." This is a restaurant that truly allows you to savor a solitary gourmet experience.

I visited on a weekday afternoon. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building. Upon entering, there's a register right inside, and it's a prepaid system. You can pay with PayPay. After payment, you'll receive a tray, a cup, and a "meal in progress" sign at the register. There are counter and table seats available for you to choose from. The interior isn't very spacious. With around 10 types of dishes, including fried chicken with spicy sauce, mapo tofu, fried rice, and almond jelly, the buffet at 1,000 yen offers great value! After finishing your meal, return your dishes and the "meal in progress" sign to the designated box. When I left, there was a line forming outside.

I visited the restaurant around 1:30 PM on a holiday Monday and luckily had no wait. I respect that they are still maintaining their offerings for just 1000 yen. While the types of dishes haven't changed much, it's good to see that they have the right items in each category. What I particularly appreciated was that they were willing to add items if I requested them. Although I visited toward the end of lunch, I asked for fried chicken, and they gladly prepared it for me, which made me very happy. The oil used wasn't overpowering, so I didn't feel heavy afterward... it was great. Thank you for the meal!

The buffet offers a variety of Chinese dishes for a very reasonable price of 1,000 yen including tax! I visited on Friday around 11:35, and the seating was about 60% full. You pay the 1,000 yen upfront, and I was able to use my Suica card. After completing the payment, I received a tray and a sign that indicates I’m dining. The dining sign is meant for people with no bags so they can keep their table while they go for food. In this era of inflation, I expected the variety to be limited for 1,000 yen, but as I entered, I was pleasantly surprised by the numerous options in the buffet area. Since I was alone, I placed the dining sign at my table near a pillar and quickly went to get some food. To my delight, there were 16 types of dishes, including salads, desserts, soups, and rice. With this many choices, I felt satisfied! I returned to my table with a good selection of dishes, excluding desserts, and started eating. Everything was quite delicious! Unlike many budget buffets where the food can be overly salty or the fried rice greasy, the flavors and the oiliness of the fried rice here were just right. However, I made the mistake of arriving a little late after opening, so they ran out of shrimp for the shrimp omelette, liver for the liver stir-fry, and black fungus for the black fungus and egg stir-fry. This meant I had to get up and check for any new dishes that came out, which was a bit inconvenient since I was seated facing the pillar. I should have chosen a spot where I could easily see when new dishes were brought out. If you plan to visit, I recommend going right when they open or during peak lunch hours when there are more customers. When the number of diners decreases, the pace of adding new dishes slows down, which could mean missing out on shrimp or liver. After several rounds of refills, I filled up and concluded with some almond jelly and deep-fried bread drizzled with condensed milk. I certainly didn’t plan for a second lunch today!

I used the Choi Aniki set, which includes one glass of draft beer and a choice of appetizers and snacks (the photo shows appetizers for two). The marinated chicken was very tasty and it was a great deal! The lamb skewers were also delicious. The place was quite crowded due to a party, but I definitely want to go back again.

There were 12 items including almond jelly and salad. The other 10 dishes were gyoza, yakisoba, stir-fried liver and garlic chives, vegetable stir-fry, pepper steak, shrimp and egg stir-fry, mapo tofu, mapo eggplant, curry, and sweet and sour meatballs. There was also fried rice, white rice, and soup. Last time, I barely saw anything, and it was mostly leftovers. I felt disappointed with the limited main ingredients, so today was the first time I felt like I could see everything. All the dishes were more like home-cooked Chinese food rather than authentic Chinese cuisine, and the gyoza were on the small side. The cost performance is good. If the restaurant were closer to my workplace or home, I might return, but after these two visits, I think I've had enough.

I entered the restaurant around 13:15. When I was asked, "(Lunch is) until 14:00, is that okay?" I confirmed and went in. Since the last entrance was at 13:30, there were no more customers coming in after me. At the buffet, being close to the end meant that many items were already gone, and the only dish added was the fried chicken, which seemed to lack seasoning. The flavors were quite bland. I assume the variety should be plentiful, but I couldn't experience that. It's my own fault, but I realized that going to a buffet right before closing isn't a good idea (tear). If I have a chance to go again, I will definitely visit at an earlier time.

My companion complained that there wasn't much meat, but I thought, no, a lunch with plenty of vegetables is more luxurious than just meat! I actually appreciated it. Even though there were some things to feel uncertain about, the price of just a thousand yen makes every flaw look like charm. I definitely want to come back to enjoy the vegetables again.

I finally got to visit a restaurant that I've been curious about. Since it’s authentic Chinese cuisine, I was really looking forward to it. I had dishes like cashew stir-fry, pig's feet, and dumplings. Even though we tried various dishes, it was more affordable than I expected, making it great value for the money. It's not often that I get to enjoy genuine Chinese food, so I highly recommend it. I’d love to go back next time I'm in the area for work.

In these times, even a lunch for 1,000 yen is considered quite cheap, but you can enjoy an incredible value with an all-you-can-eat Chinese lunch in buffet style. While it may not be exceptionally delicious, there are no significant downsides, making it perfect for when you want to eat a lot. The menu may vary slightly from day to day, so I’ll definitely come back again sometime.

We made a reservation and went there with two friends at night. When we ordered the mapo tofu, it was spicy and delicious! We talked among ourselves and decided that we wanted to try a spicier version, so we asked the staff. They said they could make it for an additional fee, so we decided to go ahead with that✨ The photo is of the spicy mapo tofu, which isn’t on the menu! It had large and sliced chili peppers, making it very spicy. The numbing spiciness was enjoyable at first, but by the end, my tongue felt numb, my nose was running, and my ears felt distant. We all had two servings of vanilla ice cream to cool down. When I had a bite of the original mapo tofu afterward, I thought, "Wow, this is sweet!" We also ordered a salad for the appetizer, shrimp fried rice (highly recommended), pepper skewers (which were great), octopus skewers, spicy chicken, and drinks… Even though we ordered a lot, it only came to about 3,580 yen per person, which is a great value✨ I usually think of Chinese restaurants as being a bit dirty, but this place was clean. The restrooms are separated by gender and there are four of them, so there was no long wait◎

I used this restaurant for dinner with friends on Saturday. This time, we ordered a course meal, which had a good balance and portion size from the appetizers to the dessert of almond jelly. The interior, including the restrooms, was clean, and the service was excellent, as they were attentive to the adjustments in air conditioning.

I went out for drinks in Shinbashi with two older brothers. After getting fairly tipsy, we wandered around to find another place to go. That's when we spotted a sign for a Chinese izakaya offering a set for 1,000 yen. Upon closer inspection, it was limited to from 5:30 PM to 6 PM. When we walked around the corner, we saw that there was a 1,980 yen all-you-can-drink deal. Then we noticed the name of the place: "Chou Aniki!" (Super Brother!). I couldn’t resist going in after seeing such a name. As we climbed the stairs, we passed by the entrance to a hotel and entered Chou Aniki. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a restaurant affiliated with a two-star hotel from the continent. Most of the customers were young Japanese people, and the lively atmosphere made everyone seem to be having a great time. Since we had eaten quite a bit during the first round, we said we would just have a light snack for the second round. However, I couldn’t help but order the Peking duck for 1,980 yen because it looked so delicious. Honestly, what caught my eye was actually the pink fried crackers. To be frank, I was pretty tipsy already, and while I can’t really comment on the flavors too deeply after downing some Shaoxing wine and highballs, I can say it wasn’t bad, but it wasn't anything spectacular either. Well, as late-night snacks go, it was more than sufficient. We eventually decided to finish off with some dan dan noodles, and while looking at the menu, I noticed we could choose from three types of noodles. Contrary to what the brothers thought, I insisted on having the knife-cut noodles. I know some might say, “Knife-cut noodles with dan dan noodles?” but it turned out to be quite tasty. Overall, I liked this second venue, but it seems like a great place for larger parties or drinking gatherings. After all, the name really stands out! Thank you for the meal, Super Brother!

This restaurant is located on the second floor next to a park in Shinbashi. It may be hard to find in the building, but it has an oversized sign that welcomes you. They offer various options like single-item all-you-can-drink and happy hour sets, making it suitable for different occasions. The lamb skewers are perfect for enjoying while drinking. However, I think it's a bit concerning that they don't take last orders for the all-you-can-drink option, which is a common issue at tablet-ordering restaurants. That said, if you keep that in mind, it could be a good choice in Shinbashi.

I visited this restaurant with a friend during the weekday lunch hours. The lunch buffet, priced at 1,000 yen including tax, is quite impressive. They accept credit cards and PayPay as well. The food mainly consists of pork and vegetables, which is understandable given the price, so the absence of beef isn't surprising. There is shrimp dish (shrimp and egg stir-fry) available, which is acceptable for me. Overall, I felt satisfied with the quality of the food for a 1,000 yen buffet. However, the spacing between tables is very narrow, so I would recommend sitting at the counter if it's available.

I was looking for a new lunch spot in Shinbashi and came across this restaurant advertising outside. They had a deal for 1,000 yen with no time limit, so I went in without too many expectations. At the entrance, I paid 1,000 yen and was handed a lunch plate and a cup. The seating was free, so I chose a table close to the food. There were about 15 different dishes available, and I was particularly intrigued by the shrimp chili, sweet and sour pork, stir-fried green peppers and beef, and dumplings. To my surprise, there were more options than I expected, and I was quite satisfied. The most important part—the taste—was delicious. Considering that in Shinbashi, a single dish and dumplings would easily cost 1,000 yen, this was an excellent deal: tasty and affordable. I definitely plan to come back again.

Tokyo: Shimbashi "Chuka Izakaya Cho Aniki" is located about a 3-minute walk from Shimbashi Station and opened last year. The lunch is a buffet-style for 1,000 yen, which is a great deal. The restaurant's recommendation is the lamb skewers, which are grilled to perfection and very delicious. There is also a rich lineup of authentic Chinese dishes, including unique items like duck tongue and spicy stir-fried frog. The selection is similar to those found in the many authentic Chinese restaurants in Ikebukuro. Each dish may not be very cheap, but the variety means it's fun to visit with a large group.
