On Sunday at 14:15, I visited "Robata to Kamameshi Goakurō" located at Oebashi. The restaurant is tucked away in a narrow alley, and it would have been hard to find without its sign. A large red lantern catches the eye as a landmark when peeking into the alley. The interior features an impressive, open space spanning three levels, characterized by a beautiful wooden framework made from reclaimed materials. I wonder what kind of building this was originally. I ordered the "Grilled Chicken Thigh Set Meal (1,000 yen)", which includes rice served in a wooden container, a daily small dish, homemade pickled vegetables, and a miso soup crafted by a miso expert. While waiting for my meal, I could see the cooking happening on the grill right in front of me. It arrived in about ten minutes. Taking a bite of the grilled chicken thigh, I was amazed. It was tender and perfectly grilled. Squeezing some lemon over it and adding yuzu pepper, along with the salted white shredded scallions, made it irresistible—my rice just kept disappearing. The rice portion was generous, equivalent to about three bowls, leaving me completely full. The miso soup was also delicious, made with a red miso that resembled a blend, packed with ingredients like radish and carrot, showcasing the care put into it. This restaurant is run by the SASAYA group, known for consistently introducing interesting new stores and dining concepts, which I always look forward to. Next time, I plan to visit in the evening. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, and at the counter seats, I could watch the fish being grilled right in front of me, which kept me entertained throughout my time there. Additionally, the handsome staff members were friendly and engaging, making for a very satisfying experience. As for the food, it was incredibly delicious. Each dish seemed to be prepared by a dedicated chef, who brought the freshly made food directly to my seat, which added to the freshness and rich flavors. It's definitely one of the restaurants I want to visit again.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was really nice! There were many different types of alcohol, and both the food and drinks had a lot of unique options, making it hard to choose! The main dish was the rice cooked in a pot, and at the end, we poured broth over it, which was also very tasty! All the staff were friendly, and the restaurant, the food, and the service were all wonderful. It was a fantastic place!

I visited a robatayaki and kamameshi izakaya located about a 10-minute walk from Kitashinchi Station in Kita Ward, Osaka, down a narrow back street and even further into a smaller alley. I made a reservation for Saturday at 20:30, and despite the late hour, the place was almost full and very crowded. The atmosphere and the food were both excellent, making it a restaurant I often recommend for drinks with friends. This was my third visit, and since we had a larger group this time, we decided to try all the signature dishes. - **Signature Dish: Large Fatty Sardine (Da Toro Iwashi) - 780 yen**: A generously sized sardine grilled on a skewer, rich in fat. - **Signature Dish: Wagyu Beef Skirt Steak with Straw Charcoal (Gyuharami no Waraburi Tataki) - 1,150 yen**: The skirt steak has a refreshing flavor due to the straw burning, and we enjoyed changing the taste by mixing it with an egg. - **Signature Dish: Tuna with Sliced Garlic Soy Sauce (Maguro no Waki-giri Ninniku Shoyu) - 1,180 yen**: Soft tuna simmered in a sweet and tangy garlic sauce from the tail end of the fish. - **Signature Dish: Tuna Seven Lucky Gods Treasure Boat Platter (Maguro Shichifukujin Takubune Mori) - 2,480 yen**: A beautifully presented boat platter centered around tuna. - **Unzen Ham - 600 yen** - **Kawachi Duck with Green Onion - 1,680 yen** - **Charcoal-cooked Golden Rice (Sumitaki Kinshari) - 900 yen**: The kamameshi comes with charcoal included, which is removed just before serving. Everything was delicious, and before I knew it, I had finished eating and didn't have time to take pictures. (That's why there are only empty plates in the photos.) I came with my parents, and they also said it was the best meal they've ever had while dining out, so they were very satisfied. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance. I recommend the mackerel bonito with pickled leek and the grilled beef skirt. Be sure to pour the broth over the rice and try it as a tea rice dish.

It's a wonderful restaurant that has been renovated from an old house, slightly set back from the alley! They skillfully use charcoal, and the kamameshi (a type of rice dish cooked in a pot) is delicious! This place is sure to become popular. The atmosphere is really nice, the tuna is tasty, and the kamameshi is absolutely delicious! If someone says they want to come back, I would love to return. The lunch is a great deal and highly recommended!

I found this place on Instagram and made a reservation for four girls. It was a bit of a walk from Umeda Station, but it was definitely a manageable distance. All the food was delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. The only thing I would mention is that, due to the charcoal grill, our clothes ended up smelling a bit. Thank you for the meal!

It's a great place for having lively conversations. The atmosphere is pleasant, and there's a nice feel of "Is this place really here?" The ordering is done through a smartphone, which was a bit confusing at first (I didn't know how to view the photos), but once I got used to it, it became convenient. You definitely understand why it's popular after visiting just once. The cost-performance is good, so I'd consider going again if I get the chance. However, it's a bit disappointing that a lot of items sell out early in the evening.

I enjoyed various robatayaki dishes, and while the prices were a bit on the higher side, I think it was worth it for the atmosphere. After running a full marathon, sitting on the tatami mats was quite painful, so I was grateful when they kindly moved us to a table with chairs. The staff's service was also excellent.

The interior feels like a renovated warehouse with a spacious layout, featuring a counter for grilled dishes and several tables. This was my second visit to the restaurant. It was my first time coming here, and I made a reservation after seeing it on social media. I ordered a drink, grilled scallops, and fried taro. The drinks arrived quickly, but the food took about 30 to 40 minutes to be served. I assumed it was due to the busy atmosphere and the staff being a bit rushed. By the time the food arrived, I had finished my drink, haha. The taste was great, and if I hadn't been so full, I would have liked to try more dishes. When I was leaving, the staff politely apologized for the delay in serving the food, and I could see they were doing a good job. I would love to visit again.

Iokura is a huge restaurant that has opened in Nishitenma. As you enter through a back alley, you are greeted by an impressive irori (sunken hearth) and a gigantic mask. They offer various dishes such as straw-grilled items and clay pot rice, and everything is delicious. Highlights include the straw-grilled fatty sardines and the clay pot rice with salmon and salmon roe, among other dishes. Since the clay pot rice takes some time to prepare, it's best to order it first. I may have had too much to drink to remember everything, but they have a wide selection of drinks as well.

In a narrow alley in Nishitenma, there's a restaurant called Iokura. If you walk down the cobblestone path next to a large parking lot, you'll find a shop that has been renovated from an old warehouse, featuring a spacious, open interior. When I asked if the name Iokura came from the fact that it's a converted kura (storehouse), the owner replied that it was actually his name. How embarrassing! The restaurant specializes in robatayaki (grilled dishes) and kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot), and the simple approach that highlights the ingredients is excellent. For drinks, they recommended amazake (sweet rice drink), which was quite easy to drink and very delicious.

The atmosphere is fantastic. The food is delicious and the cost performance is great. The vegetables and mushrooms are grilled over a irori, giving them a fragrant and satisfying flavor. This was my second visit. The small alley with red lanterns has a nice atmosphere. The straw-grilled dishes and clay pot rice were really delicious. This time, I was seated in the back room, but I think I would enjoy sitting at the counter to see the impressive straw-grilling performance. It seems they also serve lunch, so I'd like to go again.

Today, I went to a place in Nishitenma for lunch. They usually offer a tuna and shirasu rice bowl set, a grilled fish set, and a grilled chicken thigh set, but today there was a handwritten addition: a salmon zangi set. I ordered the grilled chicken thigh set. It seems they grill the fish and chicken after receiving the order. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The rice was served in a wooden container, and I could have as much as I wanted. Along with the main dish, there were also cucumber, octopus, and seaweed salad and pickles. The portion of the chicken felt a bit small. Since it was freshly grilled, it was delicious. I noticed that I could choose the fish, as they had mackerel and horse mackerel available. I’d like to try the grilled fish set next time.
