I visited on a rainy Friday night. Cheero-san is always crowded during lunchtime. I had never been there before, but decided to go for dinner since reservations were possible. I walked from Shin-Osaka Station to the restaurant, which was a bit of a distance. When I finally arrived and opened the door, I was surprised that it didn't seem like the entrance was correct, but it turned out to be the back entrance. The staff warmly welcomed me. The main entrance has a kitchen, counter, and table seats. There is also a second floor with a couple of tables and a counter. The small size of the place makes it cozy and quiet. Since I have been eating out a lot recently, I considered ordering a la carte, but decided on the A course for 4200 yen. The course included appetizers, cold soup with spinach bread, a choice between octopus or chicken breast for the cold dish, a choice between squid or beef tongue for the warm dish, a choice of hand-made pasta, a choice between meat or fish for the main dish, and a choice of dessert. The portion size was sufficient. The variety and depth of the dishes were impressive, and the quality of the food was excellent for the price. They also served delicious bread and a selection of wines, including sparkling white wine, red wine, white wine, and a decanted white wine. I enjoyed the Montebello Trebbiano. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I would love to visit again. The more I go, the more I appreciate the restaurant.

On the last day in Osaka, I had lunch at the popular Italian restaurant called Cheero near Shin-Osaka Station. The lunch menu includes a choice of appetizer, main course, and post-meal tea. I arrived around 12:30 and the restaurant was packed, with a line forming outside. I chose a vegetable-packed minestrone soup for the appetizer, edamame and parmesan black sesame flavored risotto for the main course, and hot lemon tea. The portions were generous, and I found it challenging to finish everything due to my condition from drinking the night before. The restaurant offers great value for money, but I regretted my choices given my current state.

It is a great deal to get an appetizer (visually appealing), pasta, dessert, and a drink for 1300 yen. However, I felt a little sorry for the male part-time employee who was being scolded by a female waitress. The pasta can be served in a large portion. The gratin has the most volume and is very satisfying!

I went with high expectations because the ratings were good, but I was quite disappointed. The price was cheap, so I felt that it was different from the ratings on Tabelog, but maybe that's the price for the evening full course? If you're looking to eat cheap French food and fill your stomach rather than delicious food, then I recommend it.

The gratin is rich and fluffy, the mousse is salty but delicious, and the shishito peppers have a nice balance of sweetness and spiciness. The pasta is handmade with wide noodles that are chewy and tasty. The ricotta cheese and parsley sauce is simple but very delicious. Dessert options include pineapple compote and chocolate panna cotta. The quality and quantity of food for the price make it a great deal. There was no line when arriving at 11:00 on a weekday, 30 minutes before opening. At opening time, there were 17 customers, and some were seated on the second floor.

Lunch Set with Pasta, Appetizer Platter, Clam and Zucchini in Oil Sauce, Iced Coffee for 1300 yen. The meal was satisfying with appetizer, pasta, and dessert at such a low price. Overall, the seasoning was subtle and light. The gratin that the person next to me was eating also looked delicious.

It seemed busy, so it couldn't be helped. The edamame mousse-like dish was delicious. The pasta had a simple tomato sauce with just the right amount of acidity. With dessert and a drink included, all for 1300 yen, it was a very reasonable lunch. I enjoyed the pasta lunch. Thank you for the meal.

All the dishes were incredibly delicious! The middle course was quite substantial, with the warm dishes being the main focus and very filling. Before I visited, it was hard to tell from the photos, but the elderly guests at the next table were enjoying an even larger course with more dishes and wine, which was impressive. The beef tongue had a slight hint of odor... I would have preferred it to be sliced thinner with more sauce. The pasta and roasted sea bream were all excellently seasoned. It was nice to be able to choose your favorite dish from the menu. I would love to visit again!

I tried to go to the "Unagiya" in Minamikata, Nishinakajima as a long shot. I called in advance and was told that I couldn't make a reservation over the phone, but if I wrote my name on the board outside the restaurant by 9:30 in the morning, I could eat there. Since I was coming from Tokyo, I couldn't make it in the morning, so the chances were slim. So, I gave up. But I was interested in this Italian restaurant nearby, so no problem. The lunch set with all the dishes in the photo was only 1300 yen! It included a mixed appetizer, fig bread and focaccia, tuna and zucchini oil pasta, panna cotta, pineapple compote, and tart, and an iced cafe au lait. You can switch the appetizer to a salad or soup, and the bread was fluffy and delicious, especially the fig bread. The pasta was also delicious, with the oil base, zucchini, and tuna complementing each other perfectly. The dessert trio was amazing, especially the panna cotta. It was hard to believe all of this was only 1300 yen. It was a satisfying meal, and even though it's hot in Osaka, I feel energized. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this highly rated place in the neighborhood! The Italian lunch course is only 1300 yen, which is a great deal. We waited in line for a while before they opened, but it was worth it to be seated right away when they started serving. You can choose from a variety of appetizers, pasta, and drinks. Most people seem to go for the assorted appetizer plate, which was colorful and had a generous portion. If they run out of something, they substitute with something else. I chose the gratin for my pasta, but initially it seemed a bit bland and the portion was too big, so I struggled to finish it. The desserts were all delicious. The service was a bit like a slightly upgraded family restaurant style, so it's okay for lunch but I would find it tough for dinner.

I finally got to visit a restaurant I've always wanted to go to. They offer a variety of dishes to choose from for Saturday lunch. The lunch set is a great deal at 1300 yen, including appetizers and dessert. I was so happy with the quality and taste. I also bought pudding and tiramisu to go, and they were delicious too.

The restaurant had high ratings, so I used it for a meal with friends. We chose a course that included both meat and fish. It was nice that we could each choose our favorite pasta and main dish. My friend also ordered something they liked. The soup, bread, marinated pasta, grilled fish, beef, and dessert were all delicious. I thought it was a good value for the price. The restaurant was fully booked, so reservations are necessary. It's a lovely restaurant located a little away from Shin-Osaka Station, but very convenient to use. The open kitchen was nice as we could see everything from the counter.

I arrived just before the opening at 11:30. There were about 10 groups of 20 people lined up in front, but the restaurant had plenty of seats so I was able to sit on the first go. I had planned to leave if I couldn't get a seat on the first try, so I consider myself lucky for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant is not as casual as a trattoria, but not formal either. I ordered the pasta lunch. You can choose from 3 types of appetizers and 5-6 types of main dishes, which come with focaccia, dolce, and a drink. The appetizer platter was decent, nothing special. The hand-cut flat pasta (with Parmesan cheese and black pepper cream sauce) had a good texture and was tasty, but the sauce was a bit light and the overall flavor was a bit bland. The dessert was nothing remarkable. The cost performance was not bad, but there was nothing particularly impressive or surprising. Maybe I was expecting too much at this price. Pasta lunch 1300 yen.

Lunch was originally 1300 yen, which was a good deal. However, I ordered an Aranciata drink, so it ended up being 1500 yen. Aranciata is a premium orange juice from Italy, with a taste of blood orange. It was really delicious. The pasta had a creamy sauce that wasn't too heavy, allowing me to enjoy it until the last bite. The minestrone soup had a clean and comforting taste. This was my first visit, but I might come back again. The prices are affordable and the quality is excellent!

You can also take out lunch sets at the Italian restaurant in the Shin-Osaka Station area. The interior is mainly white, elegant and quiet, allowing you to relax. For lunch, you can choose from 3 appetizers and 6 main dishes such as pasta, risotto, and gratin. The "Assorted Appetizers" also comes with soup. The penne with meat sauce has a generous amount of meat and sauce, and comes with 2 types of bread, allowing you to enjoy every bit of the sauce. After the meal, you get to enjoy 3 types of desserts and a drink for 1,300 yen. Considering the content and price, it's no wonder there is always a line. A side note, there is a dress code, so avoid dressing too casually to avoid being denied entry.

Trattoria Chero, where I arrived after getting lost for about 10 minutes from Shin-Osaka Station. This Italian restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 in Japan, and I visited on a Saturday afternoon. It's a popular spot, and we managed to get a table right when they opened. The lunch set costs 1300 yen and includes appetizers, a main pasta dish (or risotto, gratin, etc.), bread, dessert, and coffee. It's a great value compared to Tokyo standards. We were served sweet potato focaccia and cheese rolls before starting with a vegetable soup as our appetizer. The portion of the soup was generous, filled with finely chopped onions, daikon radish, carrots, and other vegetables in a clear consomme. Next, we had the spinach and tuna olive pasta, which was a classic combination with buttery spinach and tuna on al dente pasta. Personally, I felt that both the soup and pasta could use a bit less salt, but that's just my preference. For dessert, we had watermelon jelly, tiramisu, apple cake, and tea. The watermelon jelly was so-so, but overall, the course provided at this price point was impressive. Thank you for the meal!

Arriving about 10 minutes before opening on a weekday, there were already several groups of people lined up at the popular lunch spot. By the time they opened, the line had gotten even longer! Most of the people waiting were able to go inside, as there were seats on the second floor as well. Those dining alone or in pairs were seated at the counter, where I also ended up. I had a hard time choosing my main dish, but I was drawn to the hand-made pasta with a spicy tomato sauce. The appetizer arrived quickly and each dish was carefully prepared and delicious. The appetizer alone was quite satisfying. The pasta had a smooth and chewy texture and was very tasty. I would love to try other items on the menu next time. The dessert jelly was as refreshing as eating a fresh slice of watermelon. I wanted to take the other two flavors home as well, they were that delicious. With a drink included, the total cost was 1,300 yen, making it a very cost-effective restaurant.

I visited an Italian restaurant called Trattoria Chiero on a holiday in May 2023 after 6 pm. The restaurant is located about a 7-8 minute walk from Nishinakajima Minamigata Station. The restaurant, which is housed in a renovated house, has a nice spacious interior with about 4 other customers already seated. I had made a reservation for the "B course" priced at ¥5,720, which allows you to enjoy a variety of fish and meat dishes. The course includes cold appetizers, hot appetizers, pasta, fish dish, and meat dish, which you can choose based on your preferences. We started with a toast with an Asahi Super Dry beer priced at ¥550. The drink prices were reasonable. The first complimentary dish was a cold corn soup and spinach bread, which were both delicious. The meal continued with octopus pate in scarlet sauce, beef tongue sauté with green sauce, and mussels and cherry tomatoes in butter oil sauce with squid ink tagliatelle. We then switched to a white wine, Pinot Grigio Collio DOC priced at ¥4,180, which paired well with the pasta. The main dishes included sautéed sea bass with paprika sauce and beef loin tagliata with goya paste sauce. The dessert, Earl Grey and chocolate panna cotta, was served with espresso. Overall, the course was satisfying, and the quality of the Italian cuisine at Trattoria Chiero, along with the reasonable drink prices, made it a highly enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely visit this restaurant again when in Nishinakajima Minamigata.

I visited this restaurant for the first time during Saturday lunch time. Around 1:30 pm, I was lucky to not have to wait outside and was seated promptly. The restaurant was bustling with energy, giving off a charming trattoria vibe that made me excited while waiting. The lunch set menu (1300 yen including tax) includes an appetizer platter, soup, and salad to choose from, as well as a choice of pasta from 6 options. Without hesitation, I chose the appetizer platter. I had a hard time deciding on the pasta, but ended up choosing the zucchini and bacon oil pasta. Sitting at the counter seats where you can see the kitchen, I watched as the dishes were prepared efficiently. The appetizer platter arrived, accompanied by a small soup. Bread was served promptly, followed by the pasta. Being able to choose from 6 options for lunch was a delightful surprise. Furthermore, dessert and a drink were included in the price! The dessert was a trio of sweets. The delicious food, along with the efficient and pleasant service, made for a wonderful dining experience. It's no wonder this popular restaurant always has a line.

I always make reservations for dinner because there is always a long line for lunch. It was not crowded at night. Maybe because it was a weekday? I ordered Course A for 4200 yen, where you can choose 2-5 dishes from appetizers to main dishes. The dishes use seasonal ingredients and are not only delicious but also very beautifully presented. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. It was so delicious. I am very satisfied. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I want to try the lunch even if I have to wait in line.
