I visited a popular ramen shop in Hirakata City, where a former French chef creates game meat ramen using Kishu duck. The shop is called "Menroku" and specializes in natural duck ramen with a focus on high-quality ingredients. The interior is simple with white walls and wooden accents, and the young and cute staff members wear blue pinstripe shirts and light beige cafe aprons, giving off a refreshing vibe. I decided to try the Duck Shoyu Ramen for 850 yen and the Duck White Broth Ramen for 940 yen. Although I usually go for the duck broth, I felt like having a rich white broth today. The Duck White Broth Ramen looked thick and creamy, but to my surprise, it was not overpowering with duck flavor. It had a rich duck umami that spread beautifully without being too heavy. The homemade straight thin noodles made with rye flour complemented the duck soup perfectly. The Chashu pork can be chosen from thigh or loin, and when paired with the mountain pepper tapenade on the table, it felt like a French dish. Especially the thick and rare thigh chashu was exceptional. Among all the amazing ramen out there, this Kishu duck ramen is definitely one of the best in Osaka. I highly recommend trying the Duck White Broth Ramen. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I encountered delicious chicken white broth ramen. This is at Menroku in Hirakata City, Osaka. I happened to pass by, looked it up, and since there was no line due to a sudden heavy rain, I was drawn in. I ordered the duck white broth soba and duck broth soba. It was a bowl made by a woman that was gentle, delicate, and yet had the depth of chicken flavor. In other words, it was soft and delicious! The unexpectedly good match between the rich chicken white broth soup and the thin straight noodles was impressive. Next time, I want to try the tsukemen. Thank you for the meal. #OsakaRamen #HirakataRamen #Menroku #RamenInstagrammer #WantToConnectWithPeopleWhoLikeRamen

I had to visit the area near Makuhari for work, so I decided to stop by this restaurant. Luckily, there was a parking spot available and the restaurant was almost full! They had two types of ramen, duck broth and duck shirayu, and I ordered the special duck shirayu. It was delicious! However, it was a bit pricey at 1580 yen. As a salaryman, it was a bit expensive for me. Other than the price, I was very satisfied. It was delicious!

I had been curious about duck ramen for a while, and although I first tried it in Kyoto, I found out that there is also a duck ramen restaurant in Hirakata! The reviews on Tabelog were also very good, so I decided to visit. The parking lot is right next to the restaurant, which is convenient, but the road has moderate traffic so parking might be a bit nerve-wracking for inexperienced drivers. When I opened the door, the young staff greeted me warmly. The restaurant was about 80% full when I visited around 12:30 on a weekday. I placed my order quickly and my ramen arrived in about 7-8 minutes. I ordered the Duck Shirodashi Ramen with duck chashu (a mix of loin and thigh). The soup was thick in appearance but surprisingly light and not overpowering. It didn't have a strong duck flavor, so if I hadn't been told it was duck, I might not have noticed. The noodles had a strong wheat aroma and a nice chewy texture. The duck chashu, with both loin and thigh cuts, had a good balance of tenderness and flavor. The chashu had a similar aroma to foie gras. Adding some sansho pepper from the table enhanced the flavors. I also tried the Duck Sweet and Spicy Rice Bowl in a small size. The rice was generous and topped with sweet and spicy duck chashu pieces. The chashu in the rice bowl had a better texture than the one in the ramen, but I wished there was more meat. Overall, it was a good experience trying duck dishes at this restaurant. [Purpose] Solo lunch [Ordered Items] Duck Shirodashi Ramen, Flavored Egg, Duck Sweet and Spicy Rice Bowl (small) [Price] 1410 yen (cash only) [Parking] Available (about 8 spaces next to the restaurant)

I visited around 6:30 pm on a regular night. The place was empty, which made me a little uneasy, but I found the concept interesting. I ordered the special duck white broth ramen, which comes with an extra seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, and 3 slices of chashu. You can choose between 5 slices of chashu, either loin or thigh, so I went with 3 loins and 2 thighs. Despite being duck ramen, I expected it to be light, but the white broth was rich and flavorful. It wasn't too heavy and was delicious. Each chashu had a different flavor, with the thigh being chewy and slightly sweet. The loin had a bit of a strong taste that bothered me a bit. I might skip the loin next time. I'm curious about trying the regular duck ramen without the white broth, but I liked it so much that I might stick with this one next time. The two sisters working there were very friendly. Thank you for the meal!

Honestly, my friend and I couldn't figure out what was delicious. We both went to the restaurant and I ordered the "special duck dashi soba" while my friend ordered the "special duck tsukemen" and "red wine stewed duck wings." The soup still had a strong duck smell, and it wasn't very tasty. The seasoned egg was bland, and the noodles and bamboo shoots were just okay. The duck thigh meat was tough to chew, like eating hormones. The only thing that was still somewhat tasty was the duck breast. I tried some of my friend's dishes, but they all seemed like they were still in the experimental stage, tasting incomplete. Can someone please tell me why this place has such high ratings? Haha

Made my second visit to this place in just 4 days! Today I tried the Duck White Soup Ramen with seasoned egg. The rich duck broth was surprisingly not white, but still had an elegant taste. The noodles were made of rye, just like their other ramen dishes. You can choose between two types of duck chashu, and I went with the roast for both slices this time. They were tender and delicious. Overall, the Duck White Soup Ramen was the winner for me this time. It was definitely delicious!

It was truly soba! Duck broth soba, large, with extra chashu. I had to go to Hirakata for work. When I searched on Tabelog, I found a ramen place that looked delicious! So I decided to visit here. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and has a nice atmosphere that doesn't feel like a typical ramen shop.
- When I took a sip of the soup, it tasted just like soba! But as I continued drinking, I could definitely taste the rich flavor of duck.
- The noodles also looked like soba, and they are made with rye flour.
- The two types of duck chashu, loin and thigh, had different flavors but both were delicious.
The duck broth and noodles were so good that it almost felt like I was eating soba, but it was a tasty bowl of ramen that showed the owner's dedication. Next time, I'll try the duck white broth!

Sometimes I feel like eating delicious ramen, and this time I decided to go for tsukemen. I searched on Tabelog and found a shop that I had bookmarked before. It's a duck ramen specialty shop run by a French chef. It's located in Hirakata, which may be a bit hard to reach without a car. It took about 40 minutes from Takatsuki.
I ordered the Special Duck Tsukemen (1500 yen), which comes in different noodle sizes with different prices. I chose the smallest portion of noodles (100g). The largest portion is 400g for an additional 150 yen. For the special, you can choose the number of duck chashu slices (either breast or thigh). I chose 2 breast and 3 thigh slices. The presentation was beautiful, resembling French cuisine. The duck is meant to be eaten with the cassis sauce drawn on the plate. The tsukemen soup also had a complex and rich flavor. It was delicious. However, I was unsure whether to eat the duck and tsukemen together or separately with the sauce. The balance between the duck and the soup seemed off. It was tastier when eaten separately. Since it's duck tsukemen, I might prefer it if they were eaten together and tasted delicious.

Duck broth ramen for 890 yen. Noodle upsizing for 110 yen. Delicious. The light duck broth has a soy sauce flavor. The ramen has a soba-like feel to it. You can choose between pork loin or thigh for the chashu. Parking is available in the lot next to the restaurant.

Famous duck-focused restaurant in Hirakata!! It's a bit far from the station, but I went there!! They have a parking lot! There are also table seats! It's family-friendly!! I visited on a Saturday before 11 am. I arrived 10 minutes early and there was no line. It seems that those who come by car are waiting in their cars. When they opened, customers started coming in one after another. It's a popular place!! I ordered Duck Shirodashi Soba for 930 yen and Duck Donburi (small) for 420 yen. The taste is rich with a slight duck aroma, making it a unique dish. The noodles are homemade with rye flour, giving them a smooth texture. You can choose between thigh meat and loin for the chashu. I chose one of each this time. Both were tender and delicious duck meat. I'm curious about the other menu items. I will definitely go back. Thank you for the meal!!

I entered a shop that I had been curious about for a while. I was surprised to see lamb meat on the menu, as it's not common. My companion ordered duck and pork belly dipping noodles to share. The lamb meat was tender and didn't have a strong smell. I was happy to see that they use different noodles for different ramen dishes. I look forward to trying a different menu item next time.

Today, I went to Menroku and was planning to eat ramen, but because it was hot, I decided to get tsukemen instead! I ordered the special tsukemen with extra noodles for around 1500 yen! Noodles ☆ Soup ☆ Duck chashu This was amazing! Probably even better than the ramen! Just my personal opinion.

Special Duck Broth Ramen for 1430 yen. This restaurant seems to be popular among the top 5000 on Tabelog. I went around 8 pm on a weekday, so the seats were about half empty. The difference between the Duck Broth Ramen and the Special Duck Broth Ramen is that the latter comes with a seasoned egg, the chashu goes from 2 slices to 5, and there is more menma. The cute waitress kindly explained this to me. The chashu comes in duck breast and thigh options, and you can choose your preferred ratio. I chose 2 breast slices and 3 thigh slices. The chashu was tender, juicy, and not gamey at all. The noodles are made with whole wheat and rye, thin and straight, and the duck broth-based soy sauce soup was light and delicious. My companion had the Clear Broth Ramen, and I had a taste. It was also incredibly tasty, so I want to try that next time. Instagram: @momolog_gourmet

Visited the restaurant for the 5th time after a year and a half, 9th & 10th bowls. Arrived at 11:05 thinking it was the opening time, but it was actually 11:00. Luckily found parking and the restaurant was full. Sat at the counter and ordered:
- Lamb Clear Broth Ramen with Extra Lamb ¥1520
- Duck Clear Broth Ramen ¥990
- 3 extra Duck Chashu ¥420
Total ¥2930
⭐ Lamb Clear Broth Ramen with Extra Lamb:
A special limited edition bowl for the 7th anniversary. The rich lamb clear broth cooked over high heat was exceptional. The German rye noodle was about 1.5mm thick and had a straight and thin cross-section. The combination of lamb flavor and aroma with the noodles was outstanding. The toppings included two types of rare lamb chashu, kaiware, white negi, thread red pepper, and Genovese sauce. The lamb chashu was undoubtedly the most delicious lamb meat. The Genovese sauce added a unique flavor to the soup. The bottom of the bowl was filled with lamb bone powder.
⭐ Duck Clear Broth Ramen with 3 extra Duck Chashu:
The Kishu duck clear broth was rich and flavorful, cooked with the essence of duck. The German rye noodle was about 1.5mm thick and had a straight and thin cross-section. The combination of the wheat's heavy and fragrant flavor with the duck's aroma was excellent. The toppings included two types of duck chashu, shungiku, and chopped early red. The duck chashu was juicy and flavorful, with a lingering umami taste. The shungiku and early red added a refreshing touch. The grape sansho tapenade on the table provided a cool punch to the dish.
Overall, Menroku is a top contender for game meat ramen in the Kansai region.

Duck white soup soba ¥990, special duck dipping soba small ¥1500 at Menroku @ Fujisaka Hirakata. While on a business trip, I visited "Menroku" for the first time in a year. This time, I tried the white soup soba and the special dipping soba. You can choose between duck thigh or duck breast for the topping, so I got 4 breast pieces and 3 thigh pieces. First, the ramen. The rich duck white soup was creamy and delicious ♥️ The medium-thin straight noodles were a perfect match. Then, onto the dipping soba. The duck was delicious with the elegant sauce on the plate. The noodles were my favorite rye-flavored flat noodles. The grape and sansho pepper tapenade was also tasty when mixed with the soup. I enjoyed it all and finished every last drop and bite. #Menroku #Hirakata City #Osaka #dipping noodles #ramen #ramen #gourmet #noodlestagram #noodle activity #noodle activity club #ramen club #Tokyo ramen mania #ramen club #noodlestagram #ramen lovers #ramen Instagrammers #connect with ramen lovers #ramen patrol #japan #japanese food #ramen #ramen noodles

About 1.5km east from Ike-no-Miya Kita on Route 1, there is a car dealership area where I had some business to attend to. I've always been curious about Menroku, a ramen restaurant located around Ike-no-Miya Kita, so I decided to visit. It was a bit past 6 pm on a holiday, so I was prepared to wait, but luckily I was able to find a table easily. The restaurant was not empty, though, as more customers kept coming in. The interior had 5 counter seats and 4 tables for 4 people each. The space between tables was spacious, and even though they could fit another table, the open layout made it feel roomy and comfortable. I ordered the "Duck Broth Ramen," which is a popular choice at Menroku. The chashu was made of duck, and you could choose between two pieces of chashu made from loin or thigh, or one of each. Most people seemed to prefer trying both types, so I did the same. The presentation was beautiful! As for the taste... it's categorized as ramen, but it's more like soba in a good way. It's quite original and innovative. Despite the many ramen shops in the area, I could see why Menroku has high ratings. The soy sauce-based soup was rich in umami and complex in flavor. The noodles, which almost looked like soba, paired perfectly with the soup. The duck chashu was also excellent - rare, yet tender and delicious. I was delighted to discover another great ramen shop. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant on Friday after 1 pm. There was a parking lot next to the store, and luckily, there were a few empty spaces so I was able to park smoothly. It can be difficult if there is only one space available. I was seated at the counter without having to wait. When ordering, they also explained the different parts of the chashu. The soup had a refreshing and delicious duck broth with green onions sprinkled on top, which was tasty. The sudachi added a nice touch, and overall, the ramen was light and easy to eat. Even though it was light, you could still taste the flavors well. The staff's attitude was polite and pleasant.

The restaurant is located quite far from the nearest station, but there are still long lines during lunch on weekdays. It is a ramen shop that specializes in duck meat, with a branch also located in Minami-morimachi. Today, I ordered the special duck dipping noodles with 300g. You can choose between duck breast and duck thigh, so I chose 2 pieces of duck breast and 3 pieces of duck thigh. The duck meat looks amazing with its appearance and fatty texture. It comes with a cassis sauce on the side, which feels like something you would find in a high-end French restaurant. It would have been better if they served it in a separate dish. The noodles were a bit too soft for my liking, and the dipping sauce didn't quite hit the spot.

I entered the restaurant at 11:38 on a regular day and left at 11:55 with the place being 50% full when I entered and 90% full when I left. I ordered the duck dipping noodles large (300g) with duck breast char siu for 1080 yen plus an additional 350 yen for a delicious meal. However, I found that the noodles lacked a crispy texture and the flavor was not as strong as expected. I wonder if it was due to the way the noodles were cooked or the dipping sauce. The duck breast char siu was a first for me, but overall, it was just okay. Thank you for the meal, I hope to have a better experience next time.

The duck soba here is delicious without any unpleasant smell! I visited on a Thursday at 11:25, with only 3 groups of customers, so there were still plenty of empty seats. By 12:00, it was almost full. The restaurant has a dignified exterior but feels like a cafe inside. The staff, who are all good-looking, provide great service, especially the handsome manager who is friendly and even makes eye contact and thanks you from the kitchen. The restaurant is actually the second branch of a popular place in Gion called Duck Noodle, which I didn't know. I tried the duck white broth soba for ¥990 and the Kishu duck and new onion rice bowl for ¥400 (limited time offer). The new onion rice bowl was refreshing with a flavorful sauce that complemented the duck and onion well. I really enjoyed it. The duck white broth soba had a thick soup with no unpleasant smell, just the concentrated flavor of duck. The noodles were firm and absorbed the soup well, making each bite delicious. I tried pouring the soup into the bowl halfway through, but it didn't really work. Despite its somewhat remote location, the restaurant is popular for a reason. Once again, the food was delicious!
