In April 2023, I revisited "Heberek" for a daytime drink as the second stop. The place has changed, with all tables replaced by counter seats. When I mentioned the absence of the "senbero set" to the tough-looking master, he replied, "If you're here just for the set, go somewhere else." Despite this, they seem to focus on hidden sake and malt whiskey, offering a variety of good quality drinks. They still serve affordable and tasty drinks as before. The "tofu simmered dish" for 350 yen was delicious, with well-cooked tofu. The "kushikatsu" for 450 yen had a great combination of pork belly and onions. This is a place for a quick and enjoyable drink, perfect for solo drinkers.

It's been a while since I visited this place! It's been 5 years since my last visit to my favorite bar, "Heberekke". The "senbero" here is the real deal! For just 1000 yen, you can get either 2 beers and 2 shochu, or 2 sake, and get completely drunk! It's amazing! Plus, the daily three appetizers are all delicious and top-notch! It's limited to the first 20 customers, so you better hurry if you want to try it! On this day, the appetizers were succulent shrimp chili, cucumber, cabbage, and jellyfish cold dish, avocado, cheese, and kaiware daikon ham rolls, all of which were delicious! From the second drink, I couldn't help but add "fried natto" (280 yen) with chilled sake. It had plenty of shredded cabbage and was healthy, although I was disappointed that it didn't come with mayonnaise. I finished the third drink and called it a day. Next time, I'll come back for a proper drinking session! Thank you, "Heberekke"!

I visited this restaurant for the first time at a social gathering. They offer a very reasonable menu, and all the dishes are authentic and delicious. This time, I ordered ham cutlet, horse mackerel fry, beef tendon stew, and corn tempura, and they were all great. If you want to eat and drink cheaply and quickly, I recommend this place. Thank you for the meal!

The food is delicious and reasonably priced, I love this place. This time, I had kushikatsu, thick omelette, silver cod, and pork kimchi. I also had two beers. The kushikatsu was hot and the meat was big and satisfying. The thick omelette was so delicious, I wonder how they make it... I like it with grated daikon. The silver cod was soft with a light seasoning. The pork kimchi is always delicious! It's full of meat and you can also get your veggies. Every dish is delicious here, you can't go wrong with anything you order. The only downside is that the owner is a bit unfriendly (laughs). If you're looking for friendly service from the staff, you might not like it, but I love it because the food is delicious and the drinks are cheap! This time, I went home a little tipsy. Thank you for the meal.

I had always been curious about this place, but I could never catch it open because it closes early. Finally, I made it in and was greeted by a master who reminded me of my own father. I got a great deal with 1,000 yen for two beers, two glasses of sake, and three kinds of appetizers. The beer was cold and the sake was delicious, and the appetizers were a perfect match. You can choose between sake or shochu. Just be aware that for the second drink, you can only order the same as the first one. You can choose between chilled or hot sake, but again, it has to be the same as the first one. It's a great deal to start with some drinks. After that, you can order other drinks and more food. I had fried oysters, rolled omelette, spicy chicken wings (quite spicy!), chicken nanban, water dumplings, and pork kimchi. I couldn't resist and ended up eating more than I planned. I also added two more beers and two more glasses of sake. Everything was so delicious, and the total bill was only 5,190 yen. Such a great deal! I left very satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Located next to the Nijo Market in Sapporo, Hebekes is a popular izakaya in the underground dining area of the Daito Building. Despite being underground in an office building, you can enjoy Sapporo Classic draft beer served in chilled mugs, which is absolutely delicious. The menu features a variety of homemade dishes that pair well with the beer. In a time where strange izakayas are on the rise, Hebekes stands out as a wonderful place to enjoy good food and drinks. The clientele is great, the atmosphere is cozy, and you can enjoy your drinks without worry.Visited in October 2020:During a business trip to Hokkaido, I decided to have a little prelude before the main event and went out with my colleagues after a meeting. We found Hebekes through a great gourmet website, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The restaurant is located in the underground of an office building, a place you would never find unless you knew about it. The exterior and the chef may seem a bit intimidating, but the restaurant itself was lovely. We ordered Sapporo Classic draft beer for 390 yen each, and it was a delightfully smooth and cold drink. For food, we tried the following items:- Salmon fry x2 for 580 yen each, with tartar and soy sauce for dipping- Grilled marinated mackerel for 680 yenThe combination of salmon fry, Sapporo Classic draft beer, and the overall Hokkaido vibe made for a great prelude, don't you think? The salmon fry was thick and delicious, with a comforting texture and a lovely salmon flavor. The tartar sauce, which I believe was homemade, was also very tasty. We ended up ordering more because we enjoyed it so much. I even had a second round of beer, which was surprisingly easy to drink and delicious. The homemade grilled marinated mackerel also paired well with the drinks. I couldn't resist ordering another round of sweet potato shochu (280 yen, what a steal!). In the end, the bill came to just under 1,000 yen per person, making it a very reasonable and enjoyable izakaya experience. The food and drinks were delicious, and I felt comfortable and at ease enjoying my time at Hebekes. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

On a regular day at 4:00 PM, feeling like having a drink, I wandered to a building in B1, located a short walk from Subway Bus Center, South 2 East 2. I discovered a hidden gem of a dining establishment. Timidly entering, I found no other customers inside. I took a seat at the counter and ordered a draft beer. No need for small talk or exchange of words. The cold glass of beer was placed in front of me on the counter, with no one else around, it was clearly meant for me. Ah, delicious! The first sip was so satisfying. I ordered some snacks – clam tartare, stir-fried bean sprouts and chicken, avocado with cheese, and radish wrapped in prosciutto. For my second drink, I requested barley shochu on the rocks, served with a perfectly round ice cube. The dishes were meticulously prepared and tasted amazing. I couldn't resist ordering more – rolled omelette and meat and tofu simmered in broth. They were simply delicious. The master behind the counter didn't engage much in conversation, but for those who enjoy a bit of a mysterious atmosphere, this place is perfect. The food and drinks were truly delightful. Thank you for the meal. This place somehow made me feel a bit lonely, but the experience was worth it.

On Sunday, I went for a walk in the morning which turned into a tiring walk, so I felt thirsty and decided to look for a beer. I found a bar with an orange curtain at the entrance. It was the only place open in the building on a Sunday. I sat at the counter where there were 2 seats, and I noticed they had a great deal - a "Senbero Set" for 1000 yen, which included a glass of beer, 2 glasses of sake or shochu, and 3 daily appetizers. I ordered the set and started with a big glass of beer. The appetizers were braised pork, bean sprout and chicken namul, and salted mackerel, which were all satisfying. I quickly finished the beer and moved on to the shochu. The master recommended a sweet potato shochu, which I enjoyed with water. It had a strong sweet potato flavor. I ordered another sweet potato shochu and added a potato salad for 280 yen. The salad was generous in portion and had a nice balance of ingredients. The mustard dressing added a nice touch. I finished the salad and ordered a highball for 350 yen. It was strong and satisfying. After 4 drinks, the total bill came to 1800 yen with change. It was a great deal and I left feeling happy and a bit tipsy. I'll definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

I was all excited to go out, but when I arrived at the restaurant, it was closed. Oh no, what should I do... But I was determined to drink, so I decided to try nearby places. I wonder if they still have a cheap drink set? Let's go and attack! The place was about half full. The quiet owner, who reminded me of Takashi Sorimachi, was running the place all by himself. I tried asking for the cheap drink set, but got no response! Maybe they stopped offering it. Then suddenly a beer appeared in front of me. Did I manage to get the cheap drink set? And then three appetizers arrived - burdock root salad, a fish dish with a southern barbarian twist, and char siu. They were all delicious and paired well with alcohol. However, it was difficult to order more. There were many tempting menu items, but the atmosphere made it hard to speak up. I couldn't have another beer, so I switched to shochu. I asked for it with barley water, but again, no response, so I just waited silently. It felt like a place for regulars. Everyone else seemed to be having a great time chatting with the owner, while I felt out of place. For my third drink, I stuck with barley water, quickly finished it, and left in a hurry. There were so many delicious menu items, but maybe one day I'll be able to enjoy them in a more relaxed setting.

In January in Sapporo, I came across a pretty good "senbero" deal. It's at Heberake near the Bus Center Station area. The shop is located in an inconspicuous spot on the basement floor of a building. Inside, there is one man running the place efficiently at a U-shaped counter. The "senbero set @ 1,000 yen" is quite a deal. Limited to the first 20 customers, it includes 3 daily appetizers and 3 drinks (choose between a sake set or a shochu set). The appetizer platter is colorful and tasty. The drinks are served in chilled glasses, and the sake was quite good. I also added a ham cutlet to enjoy with the drinks. Although it's a bit off the beaten path from Sapporo's main areas, it's worth a visit. I had a great time with the senbero set.

Walking through the cold like being in a refrigerator, I made my way to a restaurant in the basement of a building. Despite the New Year's hunger, I found a place that was open and ordered beer and some food. The restaurant had a wide variety of sake from different prefectures like Hyogo's "Tomi Hito," Saitama's "Kanayouku," and Ibaraki's "Hyakusai." Each sake had a unique taste and aroma that left me feeling satisfied. The experience of trying different sakes from around Japan was enjoyable, and despite the cold outside, I felt warm and content inside.

After having a couple of drinks at Sobaru in Sapporo Station, I walked towards the Sosei River East area. Since I still had some time before my meeting, I decided to stop by here. The recommended item here is definitely the "Senbero Set @ 1,000 yen"! It includes 3 appetizers and 3 drinks, which is quite a good deal. The drinks are usually beer plus shochu or sake, but they were kind enough to let me have highballs instead. The appetizers on this day were braised pork, mayonnaise and kinpira, and cheese tofu? All homemade, which was a nice touch. I ended up paying an extra 90 yen per drink to have all 3 as highballs, and they were made a bit strong, getting me a bit tipsy. The owner is still as reserved as ever, but the relaxed atmosphere is quite comfortable. I also ordered the "Cheese Ham Cutlet @ 350 yen" which was made quickly and was delicious! Definitely worth a revisit. Thank you for the meal!

I read the review from satochina1123 and decided to visit the restaurant. I ordered the "Senbero Set (1,000 yen, excluding tax)" and the "Potato Salad (280 yen, excluding tax)". The Senbero Set is limited to 20 people and includes 3 types of daily appetizers and drinks (1 beer + 2 sake or 2 shochu). I planned to arrive at the restaurant at 13:00 for the Senbero Set, but I was a bit late and arrived around 13:30. Surprisingly, there were no other customers yet. I sat down and ordered the Senbero Set right away. The appetizers were all delicious. Enjoying beer with these appetizers was fantastic. After having some beer, I ordered the Potato Salad. The portion was a bit too much for one person. The Potato Salad was also delicious. When I finished my beer, I ordered sake. The sake was delicious. I started feeling a bit tipsy after the first cup. By the time I finished the second cup, I was completely drunk. I forgot to take a picture of the drunk me enjoying the sake. Delicious food, great drinks, and a completely non-smoking environment made it the best izakaya experience.

Momen's Nationwide Food Tour - Sapporo Edition
On this day, I plan to visit the Genghis Khan restaurant in Susukino that I consider to be the most delicious in Sapporo. However, the restaurant doesn't open until 6:00 pm. I'm feeling thirsty after talking a lot at work, so let's go for a delicious beer before that! When it comes to drinking good beer in Sapporo, it has to be "Hebereke"! For more detailed information about the restaurant's location, menu, and more, please refer to my initial review.
I arrived at the restaurant at 5:00 pm. Since it was still early, the place was not crowded.
- Sapporo Classic Draft Beer: The beer was well chilled and had a good throat feel. It was so refreshing that I gulped it down in one go.
- Hoegaarden White: For the second round, I tried Hoegaarden beer, which also had a unique aroma and was poured skillfully.
- Cheese Ham Cutlet: I love ham cutlets, especially when they have cheddar cheese inside. It's a perfect match for beer.
- Erdinger: The owner recommended Erdinger, saying it was also delicious. I had to try it! This beer had a slightly different aroma compared to Hoegaarden, with a rich and intense flavor.
- Corn Tempura: The freshly fried corn tempura was so crispy and delicious. Hokkaido corn is naturally sweet.
- Sake: I decided to add some sake to the mix. The "Sugata" Junmai Ginjo was served, which had a slight fizz and a citrusy aroma.
- Autumn Mushroom: To accompany the sake, I ordered some autumn mushrooms, which had a nice texture and a unique earthy flavor.
After enjoying three beers and some delicious food, it was time to head to the Genghis Khan restaurant. The owner bid me farewell with his usual cool demeanor. I'll definitely come back here when I feel like having a good beer. Thank you for the meal!
Bonus: As 2019, the first year of Reiwa, comes to an end, I want to thank all the reviewers who accompanied me on my journey to discover wonderful restaurants. Have a great New Year, everyone!

In Sapporo city, you can now find various shops offering "evening drink sets" and more places promoting "senbero" deals. In my opinion, the best "senbero" deal in Sapporo city is at this particular shop. For 1,000 yen, you get one beer, two servings of sake or shochu, and three appetizers. The drinks are good quality, and the appetizers are homemade. The set includes dishes like grilled saury, jellyfish and chicken salad, and ham with avocado. In addition to the "senbero" set, you can also enjoy other tasty dishes like bacon potato salad, simmered tofu, and deep-fried smelt. The shop owner also has a selection of hidden sake and malt whiskey for those who want to try something different. While I don't have the chance to visit on weekdays anymore, I will definitely come back on a Saturday to enjoy the experience again.

Popular ramen shop "Keyaki" where I had a warm canned beer. I wanted to drink a delicious beer!! However, after eating ramen and feeling full, I decided to walk around Sapporo city for about 2 hours to work up an appetite. I then arrived at "Hebereke," a casual pub open all day.
**About the Restaurant:**
Located in the "Soseigawa East Dining Area" in the Daitsu Building, the restaurant has an elongated interior with 2 eight-seat counter tables and 2 four-seat table tables. When I visited on a Sunday at 2 pm, there were already 2 customers.
**Menu:**
The menu offers a variety of dishes at affordable prices, typical of a casual pub.
**What I Ate and Drank:**
First and foremost... I wanted a draft beer!! I got a "Sapporo Classic" draft beer served in a frosty mug. It was ice-cold and refreshing, just as I like it. I chugged it down almost instantly.
For my second drink, I opted for my favorite "Hoegaarden White." The beer was poured skillfully into a chilled glass, and the unique aroma of Hoegaarden filled the air. It tasted amazing after a long time.
The first dish to arrive was the potato salad, which was more generous in portion than I had imagined. It contained bacon, edamame, and corn, with a slightly tangy flavor. The bacon was thick and provided a good chewy texture. The price of the potato salad was very reasonable for the quality and quantity.
I then decided to try a Japanese sake, and the owner recommended "Sugata Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Namagenshu." It had a slight effervescence and a refreshing citrus aroma, perfect for a hot summer day.
I also tried the recommended "Simmered Tofu," which was cooked to perfection and had a rich flavor.
Overall, the experience at Hebereke was delightful, with delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices.

Senbero set! It's easy to use (^_^) I decided to cut my hair in the afternoon! Since I didn't have any plans for today, I was torn between having a drink or going to a cafe... and ended up going for a drink in the afternoon (^_^) I found a place nearby, called Hebekesann, that offers a senbero set. The owner was quite unfriendly, which added to the unique atmosphere of the place. First, they brought out beer and three dishes: jellyfish salad, simmered tuna, and marinated shrimp. I was impressed by the taste, so I decided to order the fried horse mackerel as well. You can choose from sauce, tartar, or soy sauce for dipping. The mackerel was crispy, thick, and delicious. This place is good for a pre-drinks gathering. After chatting a few times, the owner became more friendly, haha ===========

Visited for the first time on June 14, 2019. It was a bar hopping night starting from the Third Mockery Center. This was also my first visit to "Hebereke" bar. The signboard at the entrance advertising the "Senbero Set" caught my attention. There were 8 customers already seated and 4 customers waiting. Everyone seemed like regulars. The owner, who seemed to be managing the place alone, was busy attending to everyone. I ordered the "Senbero Set" which includes a platter of 3 snacks, a beer, and 2 glasses of sake or shochu for 1,000 yen. The frozen beer in a chilled glass was delicious. The platter of 3 snacks (vinegared miso, Chinese-style salad, braised pork) was also very tasty. I would have liked to order each dish separately if possible. The remaining 2 drinks in the set were shochu on the rocks. I also ordered an additional potato salad for 280 yen, which turned out to be quite a generous portion. The cheese ham cutlet for 350 yen was also freshly fried and delicious. The unexpected volume of the potato salad left me feeling full. The prices and flavors were both satisfying. Some mentioned that the owner was a bit reserved, but I found the calm atmosphere without loud customers shouting strangely comforting. Personally, I think the set menu and the owner's style of service are both good. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

I worked up a sweat at the gym in the afternoon, replenished with carbs at Gyojo Hara with ramen, did some shopping in Susukino, and had time to spare before meeting up with my wife after work, so I decided to visit Hebekake. Just like the name suggests, it's a super cost-effective "senbero" set - 1000 yen for a beer, two shots of sake, and three appetizers - it's amazing. The beer was draft, the appetizers were incredibly delicious. I had to order the simmered tofu to pace myself, and it was also delicious. The sake was perfect. And then the fried horse mackerel, another round of sake - it was all just perfect. I'm curious about the homemade chocolate on the menu. It's an izakaya, after all. I'll definitely come back. #Sapporo #DrinkingAlone #Senbero

This is a shop that serves Senbero from early hours. I had been wanting to visit as my next meeting spot was near the bus center, so I finally made it here. The shop is bright and has a welcoming atmosphere. The shop owner seemed a bit intimidating and quiet. I ordered Senbero and three appetizers arrived quickly: sweet and sour salmon, bean sprout and chicken salad, and deep-fried skewers. I didn't pay much attention, but the contents of the three drinks in Senbero were either one beer and two shochu or one beer and two sake. Oh, which one should I choose? But then, surprisingly, the owner said I could choose something else from the non-beer menu! I like how straightforward he is. The shop is mostly counter seating, so it's easy for solo customers to come in. It's a nice place to drop by after work. There are many interesting shops around the bus center. It's great that you can have three drinks for 1000 yen. Thank you for the meal.
