This is a roadside station in Nagano. It's always bustling with people. I've been wanting to visit someday and had it saved, but the restaurant was unexpectedly closed. Is there any other place to eat? There was one. It was my first visit with a friend. Beef bowl for 500 yen, and waffle (banana sandwich) for 350 yen. Roadside stations can have various listings, some may have already closed, so being a bit of a perfectionist with type O blood, it bothers me. I'll register it as "Maoni Hill Tea House". They sell vegetables and deli at the storefront, and there is also an eat-in area with a counter. I was drawn to the noodles (ramen/soba/udon) and curry/donburi, but since it was hot, I chose the beef bowl. It's a cheap beef bowl for a coin. The pork cutlet curry with a friend is luxurious for 750 yen. There are also fancy items like waffles on the menu. The menu photo got cut off, but there are plenty of options. It's filling and perfect for a lunch right after. It was my first time there, and while looking at the menu, I asked, "Do you not have any drinks?" The staff member said something, but I couldn't hear well because of the mask and the noise around, so I asked again. In the end, the drinks were in a case. Besides that one person, the rest of the staff were kind and nice. Thank you for the meal.

Received a stamp at Maio no Oka Michi no Eki The shops in the longhouse-like building on the premises of the michi no eki have been nicely renovated on the outside. I stopped by a shop that caught my attention in Miyu-chan's review. They have everything from ramen, curry, and rice bowls to shaved ice, waffles, and parfaits. After ordering at the counter, you wait at your seat. Water and seasonings are self-service. I ordered the "Banana Waffle" (380 yen). I intended to eat inside the store, but my companion urged, "Let's go!" so I ended up eating in the car. The waffle was pre-cooked and topped with whipped cream and banana chocolate sauce, making it difficult to eat when folded in half. When you take a bite, the cream and banana spill out, which is a bit messy. The taste is delicious, so it would be better if they put it in a paper bag or wrap it in plastic. There seems to be room for improvement, especially for take-out orders. Since the store smelled of curry inside, I would like to try their curry next time! Thank you, Maio Chaya!

Located along the national highway in Nagayama-cho, which is a midpoint for drives to Sapporo, Hidaka, Iwamizawa, Tomakomai, and other areas, is the roadside station "Maoino Oka." Within the premises, there is a light meal restaurant serving soba noodles and offering items like fried chicken and fried sweet potatoes for sale. Compared to other shops within the roadside station, the prices and portion sizes are good, making it a recommended spot for families with children.
