This restaurant has opened from Kansai. I lived in Osaka before coming to Fukuoka, but I wasn’t aware of this place. I made a reservation for my first visit. It is located in a popular area of Uritenjin where many restaurants compete, but there’s no large sign, and it doesn't look like a typical yakiniku restaurant at all, which gives it a stylish appearance. The staff are all kind and friendly, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Without even asking, they replaced the grill and adjusted the heat for us, showing great consideration. Although it was quite busy, they quickly provided the drinks and meats we ordered.
The complimentary grated radish as a side dish is a nice touch and they offer free refills. The menu is a must-try for grilled meat and hormone lovers. The portion sizes are slightly small, but the prices are very reasonable. Each meat plate typically comes with about 4-5 pieces. Because the portion size per plate is small, it’s great for two people like us, as we can enjoy a variety of cuts. The famous Maru-chan (maruchou), priced at just 280 yen per plate, is particularly noteworthy. We only ordered one plate, but there seems to be no limit on the quantity you can order.
Everything was delicious, but the surprise hit was the salt tongue, which I would consider premium quality compared to other places. The raw shinzou (hatsu sashimi) and fuwa (lung) were also particularly good. I was thrilled to unexpectedly find koune, which I used to eat often during my time in Hiroshima. Although we ate and drank quite a bit for two people, we left extremely satisfied. Since it’s busy, you might have to exit within about two hours of entering. There are still many dishes I want to try, so I will definitely visit again! The restaurant is smoke-free inside.
