A sushi restaurant located on a busy street that has been around for a long time. They have the menu and prices written at the entrance, which I think is very considerate. Even though it's an old establishment, it is well-maintained and clean. I decided to try both lunch options, A for 800 yen and B for 1100 yen. The sushi was well-made, with all the toppings, including the tuna, being in the best condition and full of flavor. The flavors were not overpowering, but rather smooth and delicious. I would be willing to pay even more for sushi of this quality. The tempura in the tempura bowl was also delicious. As expected, it was a tasty restaurant. It's great that you can enjoy sushi for lunch for less than 1000 yen. The cost performance is also excellent. The soba was just the right amount. As for the LP salmon and ikura rice bowl, honestly, the ingredients were a bit lacking for the price. You can see the white rice underneath. Three pieces of salmon look lonely. It seems like the sushi set would be a better deal at this restaurant rather than the rice bowl dishes. I had a satisfying sushi meal haha. Manpuku is such a nice word haha. I had 14 pieces including tuna, flounder, mackerel, salmon, yellowtail, eel, scallop, ikura, octopus, crab, shrimp, flying fish roe, and egg. It was seriously delicious and I even got soba noodles on the side. The variety of sushi was well-balanced and everything was so tasty. Can't wait to go back haha.

The tuna was rich, and the scallop was flavorful. I also added saury and conger eel. The mackerel was a bit thin and overcooked, while the amberjack was just okay. The freshness of the sardine was on the edge. The sushi rice was well balanced, making the toppings dance in your mouth. The matching of wasabi and toppings depends on personal preference. The simple miso soup with soba noodles was served with the sushi. I also ordered a draft beer and a bottle of beer, totaling 4380 yen. Hmm~

The soba was soft and had tenkasu and chopped green onions. It seemed to be a replacement for soup. I don't mind this kind of service. The sushi was soon served, including tuna, flounder, mackerel, squid, octopus, shrimp, flying fish roe, and nori rolls. It seems to always have the same content as written on the menu. There are no high-end ingredients, but I like this kind of sushi. They were all moist and well-aged, and delicious. The rice was a bit firm, but the vinegar was not too sour, and the seasoning was good. The couple who seemed to be the owners were friendly and very nice.

I always visit during the evening, but this time I came for lunch. The cost performance is excellent. The side menu, in particular the soba dipping sauce, is really delicious. The owner and the lady in charge are always bright and I always feel energized when I visit.

Personally, I prefer miso soup, but the food was delicious so it was okay. The sushi was surprisingly good for the price, with the ikura sushi even having wasabi inside which was a nice touch. Katsu Sushi has been operating for over 40 years with a husband and wife team. They offer two lunch options, A and B, both of which come with soba noodles. I chose option B, which included nigiri sushi with tuna, scallop, flounder, salmon, shrimp, and ikura. The tuna was delicious but had a strange indentation in the middle. The ikura was tasty, but the nori was a bit too moist. The salmon, scallop, and shrimp were all delicious. The flounder was slightly bland. The rice was well-packed and had a good texture, sticking nicely to the toppings. The pickled ginger was a bit questionable. The soba noodles were as expected, lacking in firmness. Overall, the service was friendly, but the sushi could use some improvement. I may return in the future, but the soba noodles being included with every lunch option is a bit of a downside.

The food is reasonably priced.
