This is one of the few ramen shops in Atsuma Town. In fact, if you want to eat ramen in Atsuma, most people visit this place. The interior of the shop looks like a typical ramen shop. There was a young, beautiful girl working as a waitress. Now, let's try their specialty, the miso ramen. The miso ramen costs 850 yen and uses the award-winning "Hokkaido Governor's Prize" miso. However, the unique flavor was not very noticeable, and it tasted like a rich miso ramen. The noodles were good, with medium-thick curly noodles typical of Sapporo ramen. It was a delicious ramen, although it was a bit disappointing that the flavor of the miso was not very strong.

When I was a child, my parents used to take me to this nostalgic restaurant in Kitami. It had been many decades since I last visited, but the noodles were still thin and chewy, with a light and flavorful taste. It was delicious! My children also enjoyed their meal!

I may have visited this restaurant nearly 20 years ago, it's been a long time. It was around 6 pm on a weekday and all the sunken kotatsu tables were full. The atmosphere seemed to have many local customers. I ordered the miso ramen (850 yen) and it was a basic Sapporo-style miso ramen with the same appearance, ingredients, and taste as before. This stability is why I can casually enter a restaurant in an unfamiliar place.

Boryu Ashoro Store 2022.08.25 Today, I went to a ramen shop called "Boryu Ashoro Store" in Ashoro Town, along National Route 242, next to Yellow Glove. The exterior is a yellow two-story building, with the ramen shop on the first floor and a hidden restaurant on the second floor. The interior has an L-shaped counter with 10 seats and 5 table seats on a small raised platform. I ordered the W Chashu Ramen (white miso) for 1,400 yen (tax included) along with a small rice for 160 yen (tax included). The toppings included belly chashu, loin chashu, chopped green onions, onions, shredded red chili peppers, and white sesame. The noodles were Boryu's medium-thick curly noodles. The belly chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, while the loin chashu had a satisfying meaty texture. The white miso soup was flavorful with a hint of saltiness. Today's lunch was in Abashiri. I was craving ramen since last night when it was featured on Matsuko Deluxe's show with lots of ramen and flavored eggs. There wasn't any other option for me today. I arrived at Houryu around 1 PM. The restaurant was about half full. Their parking lot is spacious and can accommodate many cars and trucks, which is convenient. I had planned to order flavored egg and ramen, but I forgot and ended up ordering Miso Negi Ramen (without the egg, sadly). The dish arrived in about 10 minutes. It was topped with white leeks, chopped green onions, and plenty of scallion oil. The flavor of the green onions in the miso ramen was delightful. It's been cold lately, so warm food like this really hits the spot. I enjoyed it a lot, probably because I had been looking forward to it since last night. I even finished all the soup.

I went to Obihiro, did some shopping, took a hot spring bath, and as I was heading back, I was looking for a ramen shop along the way but ended up getting further away from the town and couldn't find any. There were two ramen shops near Kamishihoro though. Still, I didn't stop and continued until I reached Atsuma, where it was still open at 18:45. I decided to stop by. When I entered, there was a large family chatting and one person who seemed to be coming from work. The staff sprayed disinfectant on my hands as I sat down (even though there was a pump at the entrance, my bad for missing it). There were three staff members, but they seemed a bit tired at this time. I placed my order, and since it was an open kitchen, I could see everything. They were preparing the chashu and scrubbing the pots. The boiling pot was a large gas fire one. Soon, my ramen arrived. It was steaming hot! The soup was covered with lard, giving it a familiar taste, similar to the ramen from Houryu in Bibai. The soy sauce flavor was a bit light. It was a satisfying ramen, perfect for the area where there isn't much else around.

I'm going to Hooryu in Ashoro for the first time in about 10 years~ It's now run by the third generation, who is quite young. I visited around 1:30 in the afternoon, and there were many customers coming in later, so I thought it must be a popular place. However, I felt that the owner wasn't very friendly. I ordered the Five-Ingredient Salt Ramen, which had a small scallop, one peeled shrimp, and about 2-3 squid pieces along with some vegetables. The taste was not bad, but it wasn't exceptionally delicious either, so I felt like it was just okay.

I visited the lunch at the Ramen Takararyu Ashoro store on a trip to eastern Hokkaido. Ramen Takararyu is a ramen chain known for constantly trying new things and developing new products while maintaining the traditional flavors. The "Ramen Takararyu Ashoro store" is located in Ashoro town, along National Route 241, you can check the exact location on the Tabelog website. As we entered Ashoro town in the early afternoon, it was crowded due to the middle day of a 3-day weekend. Even though I, who was going back to Sapporo, didn't need to eat Sapporo ramen in Ashoro, choosing a restaurant seemed like a hassle and I was tired, and for some reason, I wanted to eat rich Sapporo miso ramen. So, I quickly locked on to this place. The yellow building along the national highway stood out, and the spacious parking lot in the back made it easy and convenient. My companion was full from sweets. There were about 5 customers waiting at the entrance, but we quickly entered, and at the entrance, we sanitized our hands. ■OrderMiso ramen with half-boiled seasoned egg topping 890 yenIt was full, but the 5 orders that came in at the same time were cooked at once. The ramen was served in about 10 minutes. First, the soup. Salty. I stirred it and tasted it again. The miso flavor was strong, and the miso ramen was finished with a strong salty taste. I wanted a bit more richness and stimulation, so I added a lot of grated garlic and shichimi pepper from the table. The richness and flavor increased significantly, and it gave a little kick to increase my appetite. The stir-fried vegetables of moyashi were crunchy, and the onions were sweet and delicious. The chashu was tender. Although it was only one slice, it was enough for this time, and the seasoned egg was flavorful and half-boiled, so I kept it warm in the soup. I wanted to enjoy this medium-thick curly noodles. I ate it without any problems. For some reason, I enjoyed Sapporo ramen while traveling. Thank you for the meal. In the car, my companion was being annoying and sleeping.

I visited the Ramen restaurant Horyu Abashiri branch! It has been over 20 years since I last visited a ramen shop. The Horyu branch has a large seating area with four small raised tatami seating areas and a long L-shaped counter. The owners, a couple and their son, were working there. It was late, so the restaurant was not crowded. The menu had a wide variety of options, including soup curry ramen. However, I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 750 yen. It arrived in about 7 minutes. It was quite salty, which I like about Horyu's ramen. The bean sprouts seemed to be slightly overcooked and a bit tough. The soup was very hot and had a lot of fat. The noodles were smooth and a bit soft, but tasty. The toppings included chashu, bamboo shoots, seaweed, and green onions, which were all delicious. The taste was just like I remembered from before. It was a comforting meal after such a long time. Thank you, Horyu Abashiri branch! There are still two more Horyu branches left to visit.

Recently, the Japanese archipelago has been experiencing the effects of a typhoon moving in from the west, but the easternmost point of Nemuro is sunny. Although I am happy about the clear weather, I am not in the mood to relax as the inn I stayed at had many issues. Since there is no TV reception, I couldn't watch the morning drama, so I quickly had breakfast from the convenience store and set off early. Bem 2 also seems happy with the sunny weather. The theme of this trip is not the recovery of the Northern Territories, so instead of heading to Cape Nosappu, I will take a coastal road back on the return journey. The sea along the way is a bit ambiguous, whether it's the Okhotsk Sea or the Pacific Ocean, but after passing through Hanasaki Port, I will continue on the road to the meeting point. The Hanasaki Line is rumored to be at risk of closure, with only six trains running per day, so I have never seen it while riding a motorcycle. I vaguely remember taking a day trip in February 2006 on the train between Kushiro and Nemuro. At that time, I was doing a winter swim, so I took the opportunity to see the drift ice on the Garinko-go and wandered around Eastern Hokkaido. I enjoy the expansive landscape unique to Eastern Hokkaido as I head inland from Hamanaka. I take a break at Akanko, but I underestimated the distance a bit, and even in Hokkaido, you can't cover 50 kilometers on local roads in 30 minutes, so I had to send a message to my meeting partner saying "I'll be late". By the way, the meeting place is Atosyo, and the meeting partner is Nakama No. 25, who was picked up at the port the day before (laughs). And when I went to pick up Bem 2, I decided to try the recommended shrimp ramen (salt flavor) at a ramen shop that was recommended. The rich shrimp flavor, probably from sweet shrimp, seeps out automatically. Although the shrimp is large, it is quite difficult to eat (laughs). Sitsuryu is a ramen chain with many stores in Hokkaido, so I didn't have high expectations, but I could taste the standard deliciousness of typical Hokkaido ramen, and the curly noodles alone are worth a +10 rating (delicious). I thought I ordered a regular size, but I was satisfied with my meal, so let's start running with Nakama No. 25.

Yesterday, on our way from my parents' house in Honbetsu Town to my wife's parents' house in Kitami City, we stopped for lunch at the Takararyu Ashoro store in Ashoro Town, Tokachi District. It was our first ramen of the year. The restaurant was almost full. The menu included soy sauce chashu ramen for my daughter (900 yen) and miso ramen for myself, my wife, and my son (700 yen each). We all enjoyed our meals. The second floor of the restaurant also houses a pasta restaurant called Kakurenbo.

The taste is average, sometimes it's light and sometimes it's strong. The chashu has no unpleasant smell and is delicious. I recommend the white miso ramen. The service is not friendly, except for the female staff. If another ramen chain opens nearby, the service suddenly becomes very friendly, which can be off-putting.
