Today, I wanted to eat something warm because it's cold and rainy. I decided to try a new place I've never been to before. I looked at the reviews and wondered what it would be like. I ordered miso ramen and it came out in about 10 minutes. The bean sprouts didn't have a crunchy texture, and the overall taste was just okay. The chashu was average. The bamboo shoots were cold, so I warmed them up in the soup, which was a nice touch. The noodles were nothing special. As for the soup, it's a matter of personal preference, but it didn't stand out as being particularly sweet or rich, especially considering they specialize in miso. I felt that the price of 900 yen was a bit high. Most of the other customers were in their 20s and 30s, and I think my opinion might have been different if I were in that age group. It's difficult to try out new places sometimes.

"Miso Tsukimi ramen with added egg for 1100 yen. Arrived on Sunday at 13:00, served at 13:27. The previous group arrived at 13:52. Be prepared to wait up to an hour on holidays or near closing time. The added egg for the Tsukimi ramen costs an extra 100 yen. The chashu is delicious!"

The price increased by 900 yen. It was a holiday during lunchtime, and luckily there was one empty parking space, so I hurriedly parked and went inside! There were about 4 groups of customers ahead of me. I had to wait for about 40 minutes as none of the customers had been served their ramen yet. The counter was hot! When the ramen was finally brought out, I noticed that the noodles looked soft and overcooked. It seemed like the bean sprouts were mushy as well. Normally, I would say "delicious!!" from the first bite, but this time, it was disappointing. I also felt like the chashu was slightly thinner than usual. Maybe it was just my imagination?

On 11/21/13, I had "Miso Ramen for 850 yen" for lunch on my day off. It was a Saturday afternoon after running errands, and the outside temperature was just 5℃. When I got home, I had to clean the rain gutter in the carport (tears). I realized I needed to do something to stay warm. That's when I came across this place. The red curtain had the words "Miso Ramen" written on it. If I wanted to warm up, miso ramen was the way to go. Wow! This ramen had a powerful punch! The miso soup was extremely rich. However, it wasn't rough and I could taste the flavors well. The noodles, made by Katou Ramen, were thicker compared to other places. They had a slightly higher water content to balance with the soup. The toppings included bean sprouts and onions. The chicken chashu had a firm texture and a mild taste despite its color. The seasoned bamboo shoots added a subtle flavor. In Asahikawa where unsalted bamboo shoots are common, this was a rare find. I devoured the ramen, overwhelmed by the bean sprouts and soup, but managed to finish it all. Now, my body feels warm and cozy. Ah, it was so delicious!

I stopped by this restaurant with a friend on the way back from Asahikawa Zoo in Hokkaido. When I looked it up, I was really curious about the volume of the chashu, so we decided to visit! And the taste was amazing! The rich miso flavor packed a punch with a hearty chashu. However, it wasn't too heavy, and the chashu was juicy and refreshing, so I kept eating more and more! It was the best miso ramen I've ever had! I want more people to come here, so I give it a maximum rating! 🙋♂️

The shop's noren and sign also say "Misora Ramen Fukujyu." This ramen shop is located along Asahikawa Minami 6-jo Street. When you enter the shop and look at the menu, you can see that they also have "Shoyu" and "Shio" ramen, but according to the staff, the "Miso" ramen is the most popular. All three types of ramen are priced the same. It is written that all the ramen at this shop contain vegetables. I ordered the "Misotsukimi" (950 yen including tax). It arrived in about 10 minutes. I took a sip of the soup. The soup has a rich flavor with a slight sweetness. The noodles are Katou Ramen's low-water content medium-thin curly noodles. They go well with the flavorful soup. The ingredients include plenty of vegetables. There are bean sprouts, onions, and minced meat. The menma is bamboo shoot menma. Some people say that this menma is sweet, but when I visited, it didn't seem too sweet. It was more like it had no particular flavor. Maybe it's better to have menma that doesn't have a strong flavor to go with the rich soup. There is one thick slice of chashu. The taste is good, but it felt a bit tough. I break the "tsukimi" (raw egg) in the middle. The soup becomes milder and tastes quite good! There are many ramen with boiled eggs, but having a raw egg cracked into the soup is also quite delicious! Although I was a bit disappointed with the chashu, I thought it was a shop that is working hard with its "Miso recommendation" in Asahikawa, where there are many popular shoyu ramen shops!

Miso Butter Ramen - 950 yen For today's lunch, I had the miso butter ramen at Fukujus. The rich flavor of miso ramen goes well with butter. The simple toppings of plenty of bean sprouts, vegetables, chashu, and menma. The spicy kick also increased my appetite, and I ended up finishing the soup as well.

This is a restaurant I've been wanting to try for a while. The sign says miso ramen, so I decided to order the miso ramen. While waiting, I could hear the sound of something being fried. Maybe they were frying bean sprouts? After about 10 minutes, my bowl arrived with a generous amount of bean sprouts and onions on top. The miso was rich but not overly thick, and it had a slightly sweet taste. If you like spicy food, you might find it lacking in heat. The bean sprouts and onions were quite plentiful. The noodles were thin and firm, just the way I like them. You need to eat the vegetables and noodles together to prevent them from becoming too soggy. The bamboo shoots were surprisingly sweet, which was a new experience for me. Unfortunately, it didn't quite suit my taste. Another surprise was the chashu (sliced pork). It was cut diagonally, so the thickness varied, but the thickest piece was about an inch thick, which is thicker than what you'd typically find at other places. It was quite tender and had a mild flavor, which paired well with the soup.

I went to a miso ramen specialty shop for the first time, thinking it was a miso ramen specialty shop. There were about 4 car parking spaces in front of the shop, and it seems like there are 3 more spaces a little further away. When I went, it was lunchtime and there was exactly one parking space available, so I entered the shop. Although I thought it was a miso ramen specialty shop, they also had shoyu and salt ramen. I ordered miso ramen and found a seat. The shop was full and there was only one person working in the kitchen and one person managing the shop. About 40 minutes after being seated, the ramen was served. The shop was crowded, so I thought the serving time might be long, but I got a bit tired of waiting. The miso ramen was slightly spicy and had a good balance of soup, noodles, and toppings. The soup was a bit lukewarm. I thought that it might have a shorter serving time if I avoided peak hours.

When it was still located in a less conspicuous area, I happened to stop by and was impressed by the delicious miso ramen, which became one of my favorite places for tasty miso ramen. I visited the current location for the second time. It was a little before 1 pm. The interior of the restaurant has three counter seats and tatami table seats, so it's not very spacious, and it was crowded during lunchtime, but I was able to get a seat after waiting for 2-3 minutes. There was an ashtray, but it seems that smoking is prohibited during busy hours. Fortunately, no one was smoking this time, but the smell of cigarettes alone could greatly affect the restaurant's reputation, so I wish the small interior could be made 100% smoke-free. Fukuju is known for its "miso ramen" priced at 850 yen. My companion decided to order the "shoyu ramen" for 850 yen. As those who have visited a few times may know, the owner is the only one making the ramen, so the waiting time can be longer than expected during busy hours. Finally, the "miso ramen" arrived. The soup was a rich broth with a hint of ginger and garlic. It tasted delicious from the first sip. The temperature was just right, not too hot or too lukewarm, perfect for me. The vegetables included the usual bean sprouts and ground meat. I like to soak the vegetables in the miso soup, so I alternated between eating the noodles and the vegetables. The noodles were cooked just right, and the portion was good. The thick-cut chashu had a low fat content and a good chewy texture. It would have been even better if it were the trendy melt-in-your-mouth chashu, but the current one was satisfying. As you can see in the photo, the ingredients for both "miso" and "shoyu" ramen were the same. I would like to try different flavors next time. If it's around 2 pm, you should be able to smoothly find a parking spot and get a seat inside. For first-timers, I recommend allowing some extra time and starting with the miso ramen.

Visited during lunchtime on a weekday in November. About 10 customers already there, still a bustling place. I think it's one of the top 3 miso ramen spots in Asahikawa. I hadn't had it in a while, but the taste and noodles were still well-balanced and really delicious. However, they had raised their prices by 100 yen due to the consumption tax increase. Thank you for the meal!

If you want to eat ramen that never disappoints, this is the place to go. It was crowded during lunchtime on the weekend. I decided on the Tsukimi miso ramen from the menu this time! It was my first time trying it! While looking at asatan's café special feature at the counter, the ramen arrived. The raw egg in the Tsukimi ramen is dropped in at the end! I started eating it normally and then crunched the egg halfway through. It mixed well with the soup and was very mild, but the sweetness and spiciness of the miso were not compromised! Yep, this is a winner! It was delicious once again this time. On a side note, whenever I write a review for Fukujyu, I immediately want to eat there again (laughs).

I visited this place about 8 years ago before it moved. It was near my son's kindergarten. I remember going into this small shop that caught my eye. At that time, I thought it was similar to Yoshino's miso ramen. Now, this is my first time visiting since it moved. I still feel like having miso ramen. Miso has a specialized image after all. As someone who is into weight training, I can't give up on protein sources, so I went with miso chashu. My wife ordered miso ramen. It took about 15 minutes to arrive. The miso ramen soup is quite rich, almost thick. The portion of noodles feels larger compared to other places. The noodles are cooked just right and delicious. The chashu is thick and large. There is quite a variation in the amount of fat on the chashu. The vegetables seem more stewed in the miso soup than sautéed. The bean sprouts have a soft texture and a miso color. Perhaps due to my age, I felt the dish was a bit salty. Younger, more active individuals would probably find it incredibly delicious. I wish they had a non-smoking policy during lunch hours. Thank you for the meal.

I use Nanroku Street quite often, and there are a few shops that I have been interested in for a while. Among them, there is a ramen shop called "Fukujyu" that caught my attention even though it has a modest storefront. The parking lot in front of the shop is always full during lunchtime, so I decided to give it a try. The ramen shop "Fukujyu" is located at Minami 5 Jo 26-chome, Asahikawa City. The opening hours are 11:00-15:00 and 17:00-22:00, closed on Thursdays and the 3rd Wednesday of the month. They have parking and allow smoking. There is a vertical signboard above that says, "Miso Ramen." I am a miso fan, so I had high expectations. The parking lot is also available next to the apartment building on the left side of the shop. There is a signboard in front of the shop. The interior of the shop has an old-fashioned charm and is not very spacious. The menu is simple, but for me, as long as they have miso ramen and rice, I'm good (laughs). So, the miso ramen costs 750 yen including tax, and rice costs 200 yen including tax. On this day, I sat at the counter, and the man next to me was eating a large serving of miso ramen. I personally don't feel like eating a large serving of ramen. When I want to eat a lot, I usually order ramen and something else. A large serving is not for me. Ramen, for me, is just right in that one bowl. A large serving would probably make me bored (laughs). Anyway, the soup had a rich color. It seemed promising (^_^) First, I tried the bamboo shoots...hmm, it's a bit lukewarm. The chashu is the traditional kind. It's a bit chewy (laughs). The bean sprouts are quite abundant! It's nice to have a lot of them. They are crunchy and delicious. And the soup. It has a strong, sweet taste. A slightly rough, flavorful richness. I really like it. The abundance of bean sprouts and the taste of the soup make me think of my favorite "Yoshino Honten" shop. It's great. I liked it here!

It's been a while since I visited. I ordered the miso ramen, which was surprisingly priced at 900 yen! There were only two other customers besides us, who were already eating, so we were the only ones waiting for our ramen, but we had to wait for 25 minutes. Why the long wait? I really like the rich soup in their miso ramen, but I'm not sure about coming back again...

Asahikawa Fukujyu. Recommended for those who like Yoshino-ya and Furuki. The menma and chashu are robust and have a good taste. If only the service was a bit faster... Thank you for the meal. Miso Ramen.
