Karaage is small and elegant at this place. The karaage is delicious, but the side dishes are recommended. For bento boxes, they have options like Salt Zangi Bento (642 yen) with 4 zangi pieces, Large Serving (842 yen) with 6 pieces, and Special Serving (1,000 yen) with 8 pieces. There is also an option for Bento with Zangi 2 pieces and 2 selected side dishes (734 yen), which is quite good because the side dishes are tasty. There is no parking lot. It seems like Suezawa is the main store and they have several branches in Sapporo. It's quite popular. They also offer delivery through Uber Eats, Wolt, and Demae-can, but it's better to go directly to the store for a lower price. The bento boxes are prepared quickly. It's inconvenient without a parking lot. They said it takes 9 minutes for freshly fried karaage, but the ones in the showcase seemed to have been there for a while, so I think for these small karaage pieces, they lose their juiciness if not eaten fresh.

On a cold holiday evening, I found myself wandering around with nothing specific in mind, just killing time. I happened to come across "Hiro-chan's Sapporo Shio Zangi" shop. I've visited their main store in Sumikawa a few times, as well as their outlets in Odori and during the fireworks festival in Makomanai. As the name suggests, they specialize in salted zangi, but some of their side dishes are also quite good. Upon entering the shop, I was greeted by a friendly female staff member. I decided to try the "Salted Zangi 200g". The usual phrase when buying by the gram is "Is it okay if I take a little bit out?" It's a bit awkward to say "No", isn't it? I wonder if anyone actually says it. On the other hand, if you were to say "No, it's a problem!" they might give in. But as adults, we just say "It's okay". I took the zangi to go. Fried chicken like zangi is delicious no matter what, but nothing beats it when it's freshly fried. Even though it's still tasty when cold, it lacks that fresh flavor, and reheating it doesn't quite bring back the juiciness of freshly fried zangi. Nevertheless, I have a feeling I'll be back at one of their shops soon. Thank you for the meal.

The salt and pepper fried shrimp was delicious. I purchased about 400g, 10 pieces. They can be freshly fried in 10 minutes, but I bought the ready-made ones since I wasn't going to eat them right away. The skin was crispy, and my son also loved it. I will definitely buy it again!

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while! I had checked it out before because I love zangi, but I never had the chance to go to the main store in Sumikawa due to not having any business in that area, so I missed out on it. But finally, I went there! Well, it's the 24-jo store, haha. From what I saw in everyone's reviews, the main store is great, but what about this place? Some people were saying things like that. But I can't compare it since I haven't been to the main store. I just wanted to know if the food here is good. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. They were pre-made and taken out! Plus, I stopped by on my road bike during a casual ride, so even if they were freshly fried, they got cold. On the way back, I got caught in a sudden downpour, came back soaking wet, and tried the zangi. Hmm... This is Hiro-chan's zangi, huh? I felt like I had tasted something similar somewhere before? I'm not sure if my expectations were too high or what, but I felt a little disappointed. It's tasty. I know it's still tasty even when cold. But with this taste, I felt like there are better zangi out there... What I bought this time was the salt zangi, 300g for ¥810 before tax. It's not that big of a zangi. Hmm... it's kind of mediocre. Looks like I have to go to the main store... That's how I felt. It was disappointing that it didn't meet my expectations...

In December 2018, one of my few active hobbies, cycling, is unfortunately not possible during the winter season. So, I have started taking walks instead. I decided to walk to the nearby Subway Kita 24-jo Station, which is about 4 kilometers one way, a beginner-friendly distance. I visited "Hiro-chan's Sapporo Shio Zangi Kita 24-jo Store" to buy a shio zangi bento for my wife who wanted to have something typically Sapporo while in town. Despite knowing that the food would cool down during the walk back, I waited for 15 minutes inside the store to get the freshly fried one. The shio zangi bento was good, but it somehow felt lacking compared to the original store's version. The flavor seemed a bit superficial, lacking depth. Those who have not tried the original version may find it delicious.

I'm in Sapporo, alone. Last night, I went out drinking and had a bit too much, so I'm feeling hungover today. I went to "Hiro-chan's Sapporo Shio-Zangi" as recommended by someone, even though they said their homemade zangi is the best. It's a relatively new restaurant. Inside, there was only one staff member, a young man. I ordered the 200g salt zangi, which takes 10 minutes to cook. The young man was very nice. The price was reasonable, not too cheap but not too expensive either. When I got home, I reheated the zangi in a pan. The portion size was a bit small for the price, but the taste was good. The meat was tender and the seasoning was light. Overall, it was tasty zangi, but not as good as homemade.

It seems like this will be the first branch opened by the Sumikawa restaurant. The zangi here is a bit colder compared to Sumikawa. Personally, I usually eat it cold anyway, so it's not a problem for me. When the main Sumikawa restaurant is closed, I'll consider using this branch.

I came here because I passed by the area. I remember that the chicken skin was delicious. They used to sell them in packs with a certain number of pieces, but now they sell them by weight. I bought "Salted Zangi 100g" and "Crispy Chicken Skin 100g". I will enjoy them at home right away. The chicken skin is delicious, perfect for a snack with alcohol. The Salted Zangi has a consistently delicious taste. If I pass by this area again, I would like to come back to buy more Zangi. Thank you for the meal!٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Hiro-chan No.2 Store!! [Hiro-chan's Sapporo Salt Zangi Kitajo Store] Hiro-chan's Salt Zangi second store located in Kita 24-jo, Sapporo. I have been to the main store many times and love it. I bought it for dinner on this day. However, I wonder why there is a difference in evaluation between the main store and the branch store, even though the main store has high ratings. I visited the branch store with both anxiety and excitement. The interior of the store has a bright atmosphere similar to the main store after the renovation. The variety of side dishes seems to have increased as well. Now, I will order what I want to eat ( ´∀`) Unlike the main store, Zangi is sold by weight here. ⚫Salt Zangi 880 yen ⚫Macaroni Salad 120 yen ⚫Kinpira 150 yen ⚫Tanuki Inari Sushi 200 yen After returning home, I will enjoy them with canned beer!! The Salt Zangi is consistently delicious. Even when cold, the crispy Zangi is amazing (*´∀`)♪ The Tanuki Inari Sushi I tried for the first time this time has a crispy fried tofu skin, but the rice inside is just normal rice... It may be trying to be unique, but it's quite ordinary (lol) While writing this review, the delicious Salt Zangi... I want to eat it again. I happened to pass by and decided to visit because it caught my interest. I was surprised to find a specialty shop for Zangi here. I bought 'Salt Zangi small (3-4 pieces)' and 'Crispy chicken skin 1 pack'. I tried them at home right away! The Salt Zangi was okay, a typical Zangi. The crispy chicken skin was delicious. It was perfect as a drinking snack! I wish I had bought more than just one pack. I definitely want to go back to this shop. Thank you for the meal!

While taking a walk, I stumbled upon a sign for Shio Zangi at Hachijou North, it's Hiro-chan's Shio Zangi. I remember they recently opened... Maybe I should have it as a side dish for dinner. When I entered the store, they had Zangi available, but they were kept warm in a showcase and not fried upon ordering. I bought a pack of 8-10 pieces for side dishes. When I got home, I tried one. The coating was crispy and the salt seasoning was not bad, but the meat inside was dry and lacked juiciness. Also, the pieces were too sparse, ranging from proper sizes to thin, elongated pieces where you feel like you're just eating the coating. A bit disappointing. Maybe I'll try the one from the main store in Sumikawa next time. Thank you for the meal.

Salted fried chicken (small) for 300 yen and coleslaw for 180 yen were the choices for today's snacks. This popular salted fried chicken shop in Sumikawa recently opened a branch in Kita 24-jo, so I decided to check it out. The small pack of salted fried chicken came with 4 slightly small pieces weighing 100g each. They were pre-made and served at room temperature. Unfortunately, they were quite tough with a crispy coating and dry meat, lacking juiciness. The coleslaw, on the other hand, was light with a mild dressing and cabbage cut into small pieces for easy eating. The shop has only been open for a few months, so there is hope for improvement in the future. Thank you for the meal!

I found a shop that caught my interest! Is there a Zangi (Japanese fried chicken) shop in Sumikawa? They offer small, medium, and large sizes, and I bought a medium one. It's light and crispy! Is it because of the good oil or is there less meat? It goes well with beer and I can't stop eating it. The saltiness is just right. It's a quick and delicious snack.

The most famous item is the Shio Zangi, with a thick and crunchy batter that makes a satisfying sound when you bite into it. The meat is tender and juicy, and the flavor is straightforward and delicious. The Yagen, made with cartilage, is quite tough to chew, so it's not for those with weak teeth. The crunchy texture of the batter and the meat attached to the bone create a unique and enjoyable experience. The taste may be too rich for some, especially when paired with alcohol. I have been away for a while, but I recently visited a restaurant in the northern part of the city. The restaurant I usually go to is currently under renovation, so I decided to try this one instead. The food was good, but the portions seemed smaller and the zangi wasn't as hot and crispy as I had hoped. Overall, it was a bit disappointing compared to my favorite place.

I went to Hiro-chan, a shop near the Subway Kitajujo Station, to buy some Zangi. The sign saying "We only serve with salt" is the landmark of this place. The Zangi here is seasoned with salt, not soy sauce. They offer a variety of fried dishes like hormone and chicken skin, as well as side dishes. I purchased a pack of 15 pieces of salted Zangi this time. Each piece is quite large. The juicy and salty flavor of this Zangi goes well with lemon sour or highball! The combination enhances both the alcohol and the Zangi.

After going to the gym, I stopped by a takeout restaurant for lunch. When I entered, a male staff member appeared at the counter and I felt a bit lost. However, he didn't offer any advice or sales pitch, so I decided to just buy a 200g salted zangi. I got 5 large zangi for 762 yen. They were slightly warmed up and had a thin, crispy skin and juicy meat with a good amount of volume. It was not bad, but I wish they had told me if they were freshly fried. I didn't need any special treatment from the staff.
