When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. As we entered November, the heating in hospitals and various commercial facilities caused discomfort due to the high temperatures. Unfortunately, there is no medication that suits me yet. Likes and comments may be delayed, so thank you for your understanding. [November 2019] "Shunsen Washoku Tomoe" is a town sushi restaurant with reasonable lunch menus. I visited for the first time with my usual companion on a weekday lunch. This restaurant is located in the Fukuko area of Higashi Ward, Sapporo City, along Naeho Street. Please check the detailed location of the restaurant on Tabelog. I visited around 11:30 am on a weekday. The interior of the restaurant has table seats and a small raised private room. There also seem to be rooms on the second floor. We were seated at a table. The previous customers were a party of two, and there were quite a few customers behind us, although the exact number was unknown. The lunch menu includes a "daily lunch" and various lunch courses. The lunch prices are reasonable, ranging from around 980 yen to 1410 yen. Both my usual companion and I ordered the "Weekday Limited Lunch Sushi and Tempura Soba Set." I am always weak for the word "limited" (laughs). The dishes of the reserved customers next to us were served first. After waiting for 24 minutes, the two "Weekday Limited Lunch Sushi and Tempura Soba Sets" were served. The "Weekday Limited Lunch Sushi and Tempura Soba Set" includes 5 pieces of sushi and 5 pieces of tempura, served with soba. The sushi was sharp and included maguro, shrimp, squid, salmon, and sea bream. The tempura was crispy and included eggplant, shrimp, green pepper, pumpkin, naruto, kani kama, and spinach. It was served with dipping sauce with grated daikon and cold soba with sesame seeds. The soba was firm and properly cooked. The soup had a good flavor from the broth. It was served with wasabi and long green onions. The price was 1180 yen (including tax). The "Weekday Limited Lunch Sushi and Tempura Soba Set" was a nice set. It is a reasonable sushi set at a local sushi restaurant that does not have a conveyor belt. The sushi was sharp for a local sushi restaurant. The quality of the ingredients may not be high-end, but it was satisfying. The tempura was crispy but not piping hot. It had a taste that showed time had passed after frying. The frying style was reminiscent of a market deli. Tempura is indeed better when it is piping hot. The cold soba was decent as part of the sushi set. It had a good taste. For 1180 yen, it was a reasonable lunch set at a non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Next time, I might make a reservation before visiting (laughs). Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is a sushi restaurant that has been around since ancient times. Despite being an old establishment, the interior has been recently renovated and looks very clean and tidy. The restaurant is actually quite spacious with more seating than expected from the outside. They also have private rooms available, making it suitable for gatherings and events. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was not very crowded. The lunch set menu changes depending on whether it's a weekday or a holiday. Even on Sundays, they offer a lunch menu. I ordered the "Kirameki Course" which is sushi-focused and costs 1410 yen. The salad had too little dressing, making the onion flavor too strong. The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was sweet and delicious. The sushi was also very tasty with no issues. They also offer a lunch set with sashimi served separately, which is more like a sashimi set meal. Overall, this is a nice and clean restaurant that could be good for special occasions. It's more suitable for a special day rather than everyday dining.

Visit date: 2018.4.21 Today, I went to the traditional sushi restaurant, "Tomo Sushi," in Higashi Ward for a dinner meeting with a business partner. It's quite rare for me to come to Higashi Ward, so it feels quite fresh (laughs). We sat at the counter seats and enjoyed the atmosphere. Even though it's non-smoking, sitting at the counter is the best. It truly captures the essence of a sushi restaurant. First, we had sashimi and some appetizer dishes. Even though I said I didn't like hoya, they still served it to me (laughs). I ended up not liking it, but it was still a bit uncomfortable to be served something I didn't prefer (laughs). Finally, we finished with sushi and rolls, and my stomach was full (laughs). Here are the dishes we had: [Sashimi] - Shako (Mantis shrimp): Delicious, but I still prefer male shako - Hirame (Flounder): Perfectly seasoned - Squid: The texture was great [Appetizers] - Grilled blackthroat seaperch: Very tasty - Grilled tuna special part: Forgot what it was (laughs) - Hoya: Even though I said I didn't want it, they pushed it on me (laughs) - Anago (Conger eel): Simply delicious - Shrimp tempura: Crunchy and delicious - Broad bean and whitefish tempura: So-so [Sushi] - Grilled blackthroat seaperch: Excellent with salt and sudachi - Mackerel: A bit dry - Squid tentacles: Crunchy and delicious - Salmon roe: Would have preferred a stronger sake flavor - Negitoro roll: Delicious - Natto roll: Tasty with shiso leaf I bought ice cream on the way back but forgot about it (laughs). I wish the staff had reminded me (laughs). We had quite a bit of alcohol. The bill came to around 20,000 yen. Whether it's expensive or cheap depends on the individual's perspective, I'm not sure (laughs). But, we had a great time enjoying the meal. Thank you for the feast!

The parking lot is spacious, and the large venue is located on the second floor, making it suitable for banquets and memorial services. I felt that Tomoe Sushi is a sushi restaurant that is convenient for such occasions. It seems to be a local favorite, with many regular customers. I had 8 pieces of nigiri sushi plus one roll, accompanied by miso soup. The total price was 1000 yen including tax, but considering the quality of the ingredients, I thought it would be more reasonable at 800 yen, and quite a good deal at 700 yen. Overall, the sushi had thick cuts of fish and the rice was of a good size. The sushi, except for the tuna, had a nice texture that gradually loosened up as you ate. The last tuna I had was slightly lacking in flavor, with a contrast between the slightly firm rice and the soft fish. The squid had a slightly chewy texture, which didn't quite match the soft rice. The shrimp had a standard taste, and the rice had a nice soft texture. The octopus was moderately tender but a bit hard to chew. The salmon melted like pudding, with a unique softness. The yellowtail had a similar texture, which was surprising. The lean tuna also had a similar softness. The rolled sushi I had in between was a new-style roll, with a firm texture. The mackerel at the end had a gentle acidity and was moist and delicious. The flying fish roe had a satisfying popping texture. Although the portion size was decent, I felt a bit unsatisfied with the variety of sushi. The miso soup had artificial coloring additives floating in it, and it lacked depth in flavor. The pickled ginger had a decent balance of tanginess and sweetness. The lack of tea refills or additions, along with the somewhat unwelcoming atmosphere, led me to leave early after paying. Overall rating: 3.2 Taste: 3.2 Service: 3.2 Atmosphere: 3.4 Value for money: 3.1 Drink: N/A Address: 4-23, Fukuko 3-4, Higashi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido Tomoe Sushi Main Store (Shunsen Washoku Tomoe) ☆☆☆ Preview of the next episode ☆☆☆ Ordering higher-priced items may lead to a higher level of satisfaction.

On a certain weekday, "Someday..." became today as I visited a sushi restaurant in Higashi-ku. The restaurant seems to have parking spaces in front and behind the shop. The interior is spacious and nicely designed with a fresh smell of wood. There are counter seats, individual table seats, a raised tatami area with sliding doors, and even private rooms on the second floor. The staff, who appear to be skilled artisans, warmly welcome guests from behind the counter. The background music is calm and soothing. On this day, I decided to try the "Excitement Course (1280 yen)" with a choice of "Oolong tea." Looking at the menu, there are also limited 10 servings of tempura bowls and seasonal dishes that caught my interest. Of course, there are various options to cater to different preferences. The course meal was served all at once. Taking the first bite... the scattered sushi looks more like a sashimi set. The rice is topped with delicious flying fish roe, cucumber, pickled ginger, shredded seaweed, and the vinegared rice has a good balance of sweetness and sourness. The sashimi includes thick slices of tuna, subtly sweet tamagoyaki, plump sweet shrimp, good-quality salmon, squid sashimi, and delicious engawa with a great texture and oiliness. The piping hot chawanmushi was smooth and velvety, with plenty of corn, chicken, small shrimp, and chestnuts, all in a lightly seasoned broth, which left a good impression. The salad consisted of radish and lettuce with a French-style dressing, and the miso soup had wakame seaweed, tofu, green onions, and fried tofu skin. Finally, the dessert was matcha warabi mochi, orange, and cherries, enjoyed with Oolong tea to end the meal. This is just my personal impression, but at 1280 yen for lunch, it is a decent price. When compared to the usual 2000 yen spent at conveyor belt sushi restaurants, this meal provided much more satisfaction. Conversely, compared to ultra-luxury restaurants, the ambiance around the counter is upscale, but the 1280 yen price point made it feel more casual and enjoyable. Thank you for the meal.

I found some spare change, so I decided to go to a nearby sushi restaurant. I started off by ordering a beer and looking at the menu. I ordered tempura of white shrimp and fried cheese. For sashimi, I ordered a serving of the assorted sashimi for 2500 yen. It was quite a generous portion and had good value. The assortment included tuna, salmon, horse mackerel, golden eye snapper, sea urchin, shrimp, button shrimp, and flounder. I then switched to sake to accompany the sashimi. Since it was cold, I chose hot sake, while my wife preferred cold sake, so she had a dry Daisen sake. I was intrigued by the dragon roll with seared mackerel version, but it was too much for just the two of us, so we decided to skip it this time. Overall, we were satisfied with the meal, but the horse mackerel in the assorted sashimi was disappointing as it was tough. It was disappointing to pay 400 yen for a single piece and have it be lower quality than the assorted sashimi. The green tea at the end was very delicious.

★KG★☆LP☆Sushi that doesn't break the bank! I visited during lunch on a weekday. The spacious and bright interior offers counter seats, table seats, and even raised seating areas, providing plenty of seating options. While they do offer individual pieces of sushi during lunch, the lunch sets are definitely the way to go for value. The Kirameki course, which includes items like chawanmushi, is a great deal. They are also accommodating if you have any preferences or dislikes when it comes to the sushi toppings. The sushi itself may not be top-tier, but it's more than enough for a satisfying lunch at a reasonable price. It's a good option for a sushi lunch with friends!

After finishing a memorial service, my relatives and I went to Tomoe Sushi. The first floor has a counter, tables, and a raised tatami seating area for regular use. The second floor is mainly for group events like banquets and memorial services, with a smoking area available. This time, we had a set meal with 9 items including chawanmushi, sashimi, tempura, and sushi. The dishes were well-prepared with no unpleasant odors, and all of them were delicious. The food looked similar to the images on the website, but may vary slightly depending on seasonal ingredients. The service and atmosphere of the restaurant were also good, and I would definitely want to visit again if I have the chance.

I was invited to a celebration party! I was debating whether to wear a kimono or a tuxedo, but ended up choosing the tuxedo. The host and I walked there while everyone else arrived by car. We sat around a large table with a moat in the middle. We started with a toast, some had beer and others had oolong tea. The food was served in bento boxes, and although it wasn't as delicious as expected, the chawanmushi was the highlight. The restaurant had a high-end feel, but surprisingly, it wasn't as expensive as I thought. We switched from beer to sake during the meal. Overall, the service was friendly and the experience was enjoyable!

Located in Fukuko, Higashi-ku. I visited during lunchtime and was able to park right in front of the restaurant. The interior is spacious with counter seats, tables, and tatami seating. I ordered a 2000 yen sushi set which came with sushi, tempura, salad, dessert, and coffee. The service was quick. The sushi included salmon, ikura, tuna, shrimp, and scallop, but the lineup was somewhat lacking. The tempura consisted of shrimp, eggplant, and green pepper. The miso soup with a strong bonito flavor was a nice touch. The restaurant is non-smoking. It wasn't bad, but I was hoping for a more impressive set.

The things that are demanded at a local sushi restaurant, is it all about convenience? Taste, price, location, service, all together for ease of use! There are similarities with convenience stores as well. Perhaps it's a place for a slightly leisurely lunch for office workers or a lunch gathering for ladies. The clientele on this day seemed to be just like that, so while waiting for my lunch order, I was observing such things. It's just a trivial observation. <Chef's selection of nigiri sushi 8 pieces + 1 roll> 880 yen The sushi rice is lightly seasoned with vinegar, well-shaped, and I think it's a sushi with a good cost performance. You can also add more if you like, and seasonal ingredients were also available. The pickled mackerel was just right, and the greetings were pleasant. It was amusing to see the ladies at the next table suddenly become quiet and start enjoying their sushi and tempura as soon as the dishes arrived. Maybe it's because of the beautiful presentation? Thank you for the meal.

Before noon, I went to Sapporo Station by car with my mother for some errands. After finishing our business, we headed to the Kinikyo Cooperative Hospital in Fukko. My mother, who has a small appetite, said she could eat sushi, so we decided to go to a revolving sushi restaurant. I don't hold back when it comes to sushi, so I knew we would spend over 4,000 yen for the two of us. Then, I had a brilliant idea to search for a sushi restaurant with lunch specials. Thanks to my newfound knowledge of using Tabelog, I found a place called Tomoe Sushi that caught my eye. I used to live in Fukko about ten years ago, and I remembered Tomoe Sushi. With only one surprising review, we arrived at 11:20 am, just before they opened at 11 am. The restaurant was empty, and we were seated at a clean table. We ordered the "omakase" sushi lunch set for my mother and the chirashi sushi for myself. The lunch arrived promptly, and although it looked simple, the portions were generous and the flavors were delicious. The chirashi sushi had a good amount of rice and the toppings were surprisingly large. It included tuna, squid, tamago, saba, tamago yaki, and more. The miso soup and additional sushi rolls added to the satisfying meal. Both my mother and I were full and satisfied, and the total bill came to 1,760 yen, which was quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received. I wish there were some side dishes like a small appetizer or chawanmushi included, but considering the price, it was a great deal. Tomoe Sushi may get busier after lunch, but we had a pleasant dining experience. I took a photo of the exterior of the restaurant before we left.
