I visited the popular curry restaurant Bonabona in Nishi Ward, Osaka City, located around halfway between Yotsuhashi and Nishiobashi for lunch. The restaurant has only 8 counter seats, but the owner, Mama, efficiently manages the place, creating a pleasant atmosphere while also making sure that the food is delicious. The chicken curry, made with over 20 types of spices, is prepared with love and care, using healthy ingredients like onions from Awaji Island and chicken wings from Wakayama. I could feel the owner's passion and attention to detail in the food, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant has about 6 counter seats and a small table for two. It is run by a sophisticated lady. The menu includes Chicken Curry, Dry Curry, and Omelette Rice only. There are no drink options. Toppings available include fried egg, raw egg, and cheese. I ordered the Chicken Curry with cheese topping. It was spicy, more than medium spicy, similar to a spicy commercial curry roux. I'm not good with spicy food, so the cheese topping was a good choice. There are jalapenos and sweet pickles on the table. The sweet pickles helped balance the spiciness of the curry with their sweetness and mild acidity. It was very delicious. The chicken wings were tender and tasty. The rice was a bit soft, and I prefer it to be a bit firmer, so that was a slight disappointment. The bite-sized mango pudding served after the meal was a nice touch.

I ordered Chicken Curry with Cheese Topping and it was delicious. The combination of various spices was perfect, and the chicken was well-flavored and tender. Adding cheese on top made the spicy curry milder and easier to eat!

I visited the restaurant around 12:30 on a weekday and it was almost full, but I found a seat quickly. I ordered the chicken curry for 950 yen including tax. It arrived in about 5 minutes. The curry was onion-based without flour, with a lot of spices, giving it a healthy herbal taste. It came with about 200g of turmeric rice and 2 pieces of chicken wings that were well cooked and delicious. The curry was served by a beautiful lady who managed everything efficiently. After finishing the meal, I was pleasantly surprised with a small serving of mango jelly as a complimentary dessert.

Seeking a spicy curry, I ordered the classic chicken curry at Bonabona. Their chicken curry contains 20 different spices in perfect harmony, making it addictive. It's a curry that I prefer with extra sauce. It pairs well with Indonesian beer (Bintang). #food #foodgasm #instafood #foody #instaphoto #foodpic #curry #yummy #instayummy #curry #curryrice #foodblog #instacurry #tabelog #chickencurry #OsakaCurry #Bintang

I heard that there is a chicken curry with a strong spice flavor but a gentle taste at the curry specialty shop Bonabona in Nishi-ohashi. They offer tender chicken wing tip curry, dry curry, and omurice. The shop is located slightly north of Nishi-ohashi Station. It is located on a corner and has a cafe-like exterior. The interior is cozy and homey, with only 7 counter seats. Each seat is separated by partitions and hand sanitizer is also provided. The kind and elegant lady greets you with a smile and handles everything from cooking to customer service to takeout by herself, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As it was before 12 p.m. on a holiday, there were only a few customers already inside. Due to the limited seating, there may be a line on weekdays. Lunch is available on weekdays and Saturdays and holidays (closed on Sundays) from 11:00 to 15:00 (weekdays until 16:00) (Please check with the store for the latest information on business format and hours). Menu (all prices include tax): - Chicken Curry 950 yen - Dry Curry 850 yen - Cheese & Chicken Omurice 850 yen * Extra large size +200 yen, rice only extra large size +50 yen * Small size (2/3 of the regular size) -50 yen Toppings: - Raw egg 50 yen - Fried egg 80 yen - Cheese 80 yen The curry prices have increased slightly since June 20. I ordered the popular chicken curry for the first time. The hot curry arrived in just 2 minutes. It was wrapped in a paper napkin, and the spoon and fork were a nostalgic touch! Chicken Curry 950 yen (tax included) "A soup made by mixing about 20 types of spices, Awajishima onions, and ripe tomatoes. We simmered the Wakayama Jidori chicken wing tips just right." Wow, it smells so good! Looks delicious! The turmeric rice with plenty of curry and two chicken wing tips as the main feature. When I tasted the curry... Oh, it's spicier than it looks! The spicy and vibrant spices give off a strong fragrance, surprising with a solid kick and spiciness. There are about 20 types of spices blended without any one spice standing out, creating a well-balanced combination of various spices, making it spicy but addictive. The base is Awajishima onions and ripe tomatoes. When you eat it, the sweetness and fruity taste of the vegetables spread. Although you can't see the shape, the rough texture of the vegetables is impressive. The various spice aromas add to the mature and spicy curry... this unique sharpness is addictive! It has a mild and healthy finish with a deep umami and punch but a restrained spice. The combination of the deep umami and punch of the vegetables and the mild spiciness is impressive. By the way, the dry curry seems to be even spicier and punchier than the chicken curry. The two chicken wing tips are tenderly simmered and the meat easily comes off the bone with just a spoon and fork. The meat is plump and delicious! When you mix the tender chicken with the spicy and stimulating curry, it's irresistibly delicious! The rice is turmeric rice made from Japanese rice. It's a bit soft but fluffy and easy to eat, which goes well with the spicy curry. There is a raw onion on the plate, and on the table, there are sweet pickles and jalapeños ready. The sweet and sour pickles reset the spiciness of the curry. The pickled jalapeños are spicy, but the refreshing spiciness and acidity are a good change from the spicy curry. When you finish eating, the lady brings a mini mango jelly. The tropical sweetness soothes the spicy mouth. You can pay with PayPay or au PAY, the service is speedy, the lady's customer service is gentle, so it's no wonder that there are many regular customers. The curry, which has a unique blend of many spices and tender chicken, and the cozy customer service make it a place where you can feel energized even if it's your first visit. Thank you for the meal!

This is a spice curry restaurant run by a female owner. The atmosphere is calm and soothing, which contrasts with the stimulating spice curry they serve. The interior has an Asian touch but overall gives off a cozy, homey vibe. There are 7 seats at the counter and space for one small square table. It's interesting that they offer omurice on the menu despite being a spice curry specialty shop. I would like to try it sometime. Please note that the prices have increased since my visit two days ago due to rising costs. Chicken curry (880 yen) - The flavor of the spices is strong with a relatively spicy kick. Personally, I felt the coriander flavor the most, but the blend of spices is well-balanced. The rice is saffron rice, around 220-230g by default. The chicken uses Wakayama Jidori chicken wings cooked with 20 types of spices, Awaji Island onions, and ripe tomatoes. There were 2 wings, slightly on the smaller side but tender and satisfying. A mini mango jelly is provided after the meal, which was a nice refreshing touch after the curry.

I went on a 2-night, 3-day business trip to Osaka today. For lunch on the first day, I visited "Bonabona," a place I had been wanting to try for a while. The location is just a short walk from Nishi-Ohashi Station on the Osaka Metro, heading north on Naniwa-suji and turning right at the second intersection. The restaurant is small, with only 8 seats at the counter. Inside the kitchen, the female owner is managing everything on her own. Now, onto the order. The menu offers only three options: "Chicken Curry," "Dry Curry," and "Cheese and Chicken Omelette Rice." Since it was my first time, I went with the basic "Chicken Curry." After taking the order, the owner starts preparing each dish one by one. I watched as my order was served in about 7-8 minutes. A large plate of saffron rice curry with two large pieces of Wakayama jidori chicken wings, garnished with sliced onions. The curry sauce is made with plenty of Awaji Island onions and ripe tomatoes, giving off a spicy aroma but looking visually mild. I took my first bite. I could taste the soft acidity of the ripe tomatoes and the sweetness of the onions. Next came the vibrant spice aroma and kick. The curry contains a variety of spices, including coriander, cardamom, fennel, cumin, and a total of 20 different spices. It started off mild, but as I continued eating, the spiciness increased. Adding the "jalapeño" from the table made it even spicier, and I started sweating. However, it wasn't just about the heat; the deep world of spices mixed with the umami of the Wakayama jidori chicken wings, making it irresistible. I managed to finish it with a little help from the "sweet pickles." As I finished, dessert was served, a bite-sized jelly with oranges to soothe the spice. Many spice curry places are known for being tough, but the thoughtful service and consideration from this female owner were delightful. I left thinking about trying the "Dry Curry" next time. The bill came to 880 yen. Thank you for the meal!

A curry restaurant where you can feel the kindness of a woman's touch, with the sweetness of vegetables and the umami of chicken combined with a strong kick of spices! Bonabona is a small curry shop with a female server running the counter. I ordered the Chicken Curry (850 yen), which came with two big chicken wings. It also had onion pickles on the side. The curry looked mild at first glance, but when I tasted it, the spices hit me hard. It was spicier than I expected, with over 20 different spices used in the recipe. They simmered Awaji onions and ripe tomatoes with the chicken wings, creating a balance of sweetness from the vegetables and umami from the chicken with the spiciness. It was a spicy curry that was also refreshing. Overall, it was delicious! They also had jalapenos and sweet pickles on the side, which added to the experience of eating a spicy curry. The mango jelly dessert after the meal was a nice touch after the spicy curry. It might be too spicy for those who don't like heat, but it was a curry with a good balance of strong spices and gentle sweetness and umami.

Visited at 11:55 on a weekday. Two customers already there. A quiet middle-aged woman seemed to be running the place alone. From ordering to serving took about 5 minutes. Well, I knew what to expect, but chicken wings are a bit troublesome. The curry was spicy, but not particularly tasty. It was neither good nor bad.

I had the Chicken Curry Large. I was expecting it to be very spicy, but it turned out to be a spicy curry with a refined taste. The chicken was cooked slowly and was easy to eat with a spoon. I also like curry from chain restaurants, but this had a different deliciousness to it. Next time, I want to try the Keema Curry. Thank you for the meal.

I have started a gourmet website for Mitomi Emon. Homepage "https://blog.33inc.jp/" Instagram "@mitomi_emon" A certain curry shop is temporarily closed, and another curry shop is temporarily closed again. It seems that there are rumors that Mitomi Emon is going around eating curry in Osaka. Recently, I have been stood up by Osaka curry shops a lot... However, this is the New Machi area, known as a fiercely competitive curry battleground. If there are curry shops that are abandoned, there are also curry shops that are picked up. The one that welcomed Mitomi Emon was "Bonabona," founded in 2001. It is a curry shop run by an elegant lady. The specialty is chicken curry. As written in the signboard tagline, the signature dish of the shop is chicken curry. There are also dry curry and omurice, but many customers lining up at the small counter choose chicken curry. The silhouette is simple, with the plate divided into turmeric rice and curry. In the center, there are two chicken wings, rolling around. The curry is determined by the sweetness of Awaji Island onions, the acidity of ripe tomatoes, and the glamorous spices. The attack comes with sweetness and acidity, but the spice quickly follows and induces sweating. It is a healthy curry made from vegetable-derived flavors and detoxifying spices. The curry shop that saved Mitomi Emon was like an angelic curry that was kind to the body.笑

I am currently on a quest to visit the top 100 curry restaurants listed on Tabelog Curry WEST! This time, I visited Bonabona in Shinmachi, Nishi-ku, Osaka City. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:15 am and found that there was no one else inside yet. I informed the female owner that I was dining alone and took a seat at the end of the counter. The signboard of this restaurant mentioned that they specialize in chicken curry, so I ordered the chicken curry. Other menu items included dry curry and cheese and chicken omelette rice. After placing my order, the curry arrived in about 2 minutes. The menu described the chicken curry as being made with approximately 20 types of spices, sautéed Awaji Island onions, ripe tomatoes, and simmered Washoku chicken wings. I first tried the curry roux, which had a tangy tomato flavor followed by the sweetness of onions and a nice kick of spices. It wasn't spicy, but the spices added a great flavor. There were sweet pickles and jalapeños on the table for flavor variations. The chicken wings had a good separation of meat, making them easy to eat. The customer next to me, who seemed to be a regular, added a fried egg on top of the chicken curry! I plan to try the dry curry on my next visit. Thank you for reading until the end! If you liked this review, please consider giving it a 'like,' saving it, or following me for more content in the future!

I had a strong craving for curry, so I stopped by Bonabona for lunch on my way to work. It's a small restaurant with only 8 seats, but it has an atmosphere that seems to be particular about its dishes. The chicken curry I ordered truly embodied the ambiance of the restaurant. The rice portion was generous, topped with plenty of spicy curry. It contains 20 different spices, giving it a slightly spicy kick. The two chicken wings on top were also delicious. As I continued eating, I started to sweat more and more, so I added some jalapenos for a flavor change. I enjoyed it until the end. Lastly, they served a small dessert to cleanse the palate. It was a thoughtful touch. I had a great lunch experience.

The shop is run by a woman and she manages it alone. It's a small shop with only a counter, and they also offer takeout, so it gets crowded during lunchtime. I ordered the chicken curry with chicken wings. The curry was not too sweet, but spicy. It didn't taste very hot, but it was spicier than it looked. The chicken wings were tender and easy to cut even with a spoon. There were sliced onions on the side. I was more excited about the unlimited pickles, so I ended up getting more. It's spicy but easy to eat, not too hot! Maybe it's because of the vegetables. I had some jelly for dessert to cool down. It's a hidden gem of a restaurant.

I ordered the "Chicken Curry" at the curry restaurant "Bonabona" near Nishiohashi Station. The curry is made with 20 different spices and is quite spicy! It is light yet full of flavor! The two pieces of bone-in chicken are simmered thoroughly and the meat is tender! The combination of spicy curry and the richness and sweetness of the chicken is delightful. They also provided sweet pickles as a topping on the table, which was much appreciated. Additionally, they served mango jelly as a palate cleanser, which was a nice touch! I would love to go back and eat there again.

I visited around 1:00 pm. The restaurant has only 6 counter seats and was almost full. They also offer takeout service. They have dishes like omurice and dry curry, but it seems that chicken curry is their main dish, so I ordered the chicken curry for 880 yen. It arrived in just over 10 minutes, with 2 chicken drumsticks and onion slices on top. There were chopped jalapenos and pickles on the table. The curry had a low viscosity with plenty of soup, and the rice was turmeric rice. It may look mild, but it packs quite a punch. Initially, there was no obvious spiciness from chili peppers, but hidden spices started to kick in later. The spices really stood out. Finally, they also served mango jelly for a refreshing finish. It's no wonder this restaurant is ranked among the top 100, as it truly has the skills to back it up.

This is a very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant! You can really feel the desire for customers to have a nice meal in a good atmosphere! I think it's a presentation that can only be done by women. I feel that dining establishments are more suited for women. However, I wonder if establishments for drinking alcohol are more suited for lively men? The curry flavor is quite strong with a lot of spices, making it a unique curry in my opinion! The tender chicken on the bone blends perfectly with the turmeric rice and sauce.
