I didn't enter Yojiro Horumon on the same floor, and instead stumbled upon this place. I nervously opened the door, wondering if it was an expensive traditional Japanese restaurant. The interior was dimly lit and had a calm atmosphere, which I really liked. It was relatively empty, probably because it was still early. There were private rooms available as well. It wasn't noisy, making it perfect for those who want to enjoy sake in a relaxed setting. The menu had a wide variety of sake and plenty of appetizers. This place is perfect for a second round of drinks. The quality of the dishes was surprisingly good, even though they were mostly appetizers. Each dish was carefully prepared and of high quality. I found a great restaurant. I left feeling satisfied and my stomach was pleasantly full. Next time, I can come here for a second round of drinks. Thank you for the meal.

"Sakura" The first place I connected with on Instagram finally decided to visit, but it turns out they're closed on Fridays? I knew that, but when I mentioned it to my wife and we were meeting in Kitami, she was so into it that our plans completely fell apart. We thought about going to "Sakura" near the hotel we stayed at last time. Since it was a spur of the moment decision, we went upstairs to check it out and it was still in preparation. I checked the time and it was 6:30. Is it reserved for a private party? We decided to go in anyway. The counter was the only available seating, but that was fine with us. Luckily, we got a spot. The counter had 6 seats, with two women already enjoying their drinks. The far end of the counter was reserved, and the non-smoking section was perfect for us. I ordered a beer, and it was really good, even though it wasn't ice cold. The menu consisted of three dishes. The simmered blowfish was crunchy and delicately seasoned. The tuna stew was delicious with a hint of ginger. The squid, seaweed, and cucumber vinegar dish was refreshing, especially the cucumber. There were no table seats, but the raised seating area had a lively atmosphere without being too noisy. My wife asked for recommendations from the menu, but I prefer to choose what I want to eat. She enjoyed the fried chicken soft bones, but I didn't like it. I ordered the rolled omelette, which was unexpectedly good. However, the excess moisture on the plate put me off. My wife didn't mind and ate the top portion, leaving the soaked bottom part for me. Despite the incident, the omelette was delicious. We finished the meal and decided to leave. The staff, both male and female, were very friendly. However, there was minimal interaction with the kitchen staff. Sitting at the counter didn't offer much interaction, but it was still a pleasant experience overall. The total bill came to 4500 yen.

You can enjoy your meal in a private room, so it's safe even during this time of the year. The food is delicious overall and you can count on any dish being consistently good. The service is also polite, making it a reassuring place to visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Located on the 2nd floor of the same building as Yonjo Horumon, this is a Japanese izakaya. The 1st floor has a Seven-Eleven, and the 2nd floor has Yonjo Horumon and Sakura.
[About the restaurant]
There are counter seats and private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables, creating a calm atmosphere. It has a sense of luxury compared to typical izakayas, but it's not as formal as a traditional Japanese restaurant. The counter is spacious, so even if you're dining alone, you can relax and enjoy your meal. It seems to be popular and fills up quickly, so making a reservation in advance is recommended.
[About the menu]
The menu includes grilled dishes, salads, fried foods, appetizers, rice dishes, and other Japanese-style dishes. What I tried this time were:
- Assorted appetizers
- Gobo sticks (half order)
- Ankake imo manju
- Nenari tofu
- Minced meat and natto lettuce wraps
- Spicy cucumber and eggplant
- Salted hoya (sea squirt)
- Oyster fry (from Senhoji)
The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was great. I was completely satisfied with this restaurant.

Located in the Machinaka area of Kitami City on the Okhotsk Sea side of Hokkaido, this restaurant is in the same building as Yojohormone and has a slightly calm atmosphere. The entrance is dimly lit, with a pathway leading to the seating area. Despite being in a building, I like that the restaurant has an entrance and approach. The interior is clean and traditional Japanese style, with a spacious counter and cozy individual seating areas. The background music is jazz. The menu focuses on Japanese cuisine, with seasonal and daily handwritten specials. The sparkling sake I ordered came with a delicious appetizer. The dishes, including the sashimi, were all tasty. I tried the following dishes:
- Gobo Stick: Made with thick gobo from Tokoro, a town on the coast of the Okhotsk Sea. The stick had a wild texture and a delicious taste with a spicy soy sauce flavor.
- Ankake Imo Manju: A soft and delicious potato manju with a gentle sweet red bean paste.
- Oysters from Senhoji, Kushiro-cho: Large oysters from the Kushiro side of Akkeshi Bay, available in various cooking styles.
- Ume Sauce Salad: A simple salad with a fantastic fruity and fragrant plum sauce dressing.
- I also want to try the Foil-baked Onions and Scallop Senbei in the future.
Overall, the restaurant offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, with a good selection of dishes at reasonable prices. It is a great place for working adults to enjoy a meal.

There is a restaurant called "Sakura" that I visited. I was a bit anxious because there was no information such as hotel reviews, but the staff greeted me warmly and guided me to a counter seat. The food was delicious, with a variety of dishes that go well with sake. The menu had a wide selection of sake to choose from. The creative dishes, such as rolled omelette, braised pork, and fried chicken, were all very tasty. I plan to visit again to experience the restaurant's offerings further.

I would like to experience a banquet as well, but I want to enjoy the food slowly with a small group. The left side of the counter is close to the door, so it can be a bit chilly with people coming in and out. Other than that, I had a very happy time. We ordered tempura and ponzu sauce because there were seasonal ingredients available. The taste was just as good as eating in a seaside town! It was the best I've ever had. The assorted tempura and crab porridge were all delicious, and I could feel the attention to detail. I would love to visit again.
