I visited Fukuryu-en, which is open until 10 pm, as I finished work late. Although I had visited this restaurant several times before because it used to be near my old house in Osaka, this is my first review. When I arrived after 9 pm, there were only two other customers. I ordered the Super Mapo Tofu, rice, and a draft beer. While waiting for the Mapo Tofu, the beer arrived first, so I enjoyed it while waiting. About 10 minutes later, the Super Mapo Tofu and rice were served. The Super Mapo Tofu had a strong Sichuan flavor with the numbing taste of Sichuan peppercorns, but it was also slightly tailored to suit Japanese tastes, with a balance of spiciness and richness that made it delicious until the last bite. The texture was thick, so be careful if you are sensitive to hot food. The owner was friendly, making it easy for even solo diners to visit. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant at 11:30 am on a weekday right when it opened. I was drawn to the menu outside, which featured Sun Tan Tan Men. As soon as I sat down, I ordered the Sun Tan Tan Men. Looking at the menu on the table, I noticed a variety of noodle dishes, and I couldn't help but be interested in the Spicy Tan Men as well. The service was quick and the taste was good, although personally I would have liked a bit more sourness. Overall, it was delicious.

I went to Fukuryuen. It has a very authentic Chinese atmosphere. I was torn between mapo tofu and ended up ordering the special tantanmen. The spiciness of the soup is mysterious. It's not overpowering, but has a nutty flavor. The noodles are thin straight noodles with a good texture. Thank you for the meal.

On Saturday at 6:45 PM, I went to "Fukuryuen" at Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. I ordered the "Chicken Karaage with Special Sauce (1,200 yen)" and "Steamed Rice (220 yen)". It arrived in 5 minutes. One bite. Delicious. The coating is not crispy, but rather moist like tempura. When it comes to special sauce, the standard is usually oyster sauce. This one certainly has a mild sauce with a hint of vinegar, but it has a different deliciousness from the usual oyster sauce. Truly a special sauce. I like this. There is shredded cabbage underneath, and eating it together enhances the flavor of the karaage with the sauce-coated cabbage. The white rice goes down smoothly. As expected, there is no disappointment in any of the menu items. I found out that Saturday nights are relatively quiet, so I will come here more often from now on. Thank you for the meal.

Located just a step away from Minami-Morimachi Station, this local Chinese restaurant caught my attention. I decided to try their Sichuan-style mapo tofu, which was recommended for those who enjoy a spicy kick. The owner mentioned that the spiciness is stronger in the evening compared to lunchtime. The taste reminded me of the mapo tofu from Chen Kenichi's Sichuan Han restaurant in Osaka, which I found delicious. However, if you're looking for a spicier option, I would recommend the mapo noodles from Rousokuya. This restaurant is known for its celebrity autographs, making it a hidden gem in the area. In addition to the mapo tofu, I also tried their pan-fried dumplings, which were exceptionally tasty. Despite being a fan of dumplings from popular chains like Osho, I was impressed by the homemade quality and rich flavor of these dumplings. They were moist and flavorful, providing a truly satisfying dining experience!

It's been 10 years since my last visit! I ordered my usual mapo tofu set meal. The aroma of authentic Sichuan spices is wonderful, and the white rice goes perfectly with it! This addictive mapo tofu still tastes just as delicious as it did 10 years ago. The restaurant seems to be run by a family, and the interaction with the wife is delightful, creating a very cozy atmosphere.

The restaurant is small and seems to get crowded quickly during lunchtime. Even before noon, the tables were already filled with people. The sweet and sour pork was crispy and the sauce was delicious! I ordered a simple set of sweet and sour pork and fried chicken. It was a generous portion and filled me up.

Since our child was not at home, my husband and I decided to eat out after work and chose this restaurant. It was a place my husband had been curious about. The location was not on a main street, and the restaurant had a casual atmosphere. Inside, there were only two other groups of customers. The owner was serving alone. My husband ordered mapo tofu, and I wanted to try the small shrimp tempura. We also got dumplings, stir-fried squid and water spinach. The dumplings had delicious filling and were just the right size. They were a hit! The small shrimp tempura was crispy and went well with beer. The squid and water spinach dish was light and refreshing. The mapo tofu, which was popular, was different from typical mapo tofu specialty restaurants. It had a rich flavor from the doubanjiang and just the right amount of spiciness. It went perfectly with beer. As we listened to the owner talk about his life and his passion for armor, it was clear that he was dedicated to mastering Chinese cuisine. We decided to finish with some noodles. The owner asked about our preferences and how full we were, and he served us noodles that were a perfect, refreshing end to the meal. We will definitely be going back.

I came to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine in search of my favorite mapo tofu! I ordered beer, gyoza, sweet and sour pork, mapo tofu, and fried rice. Everything is delicious, but the mapo tofu is exceptional. It was so good that I ordered an extra serving. The owner made it a bit spicy as requested, and I am grateful for their consideration! The spicy mapo tofu was incredibly delicious.

I don't know if it was mentioned, but it was supposed to be a super-class mapo tofu, but I couldn't tell what made it super-class. I was expecting a more intense flavor, but it seems like regular mapo tofu suits my simple taste buds better. After taking a bite, I realized that I had eaten mapo tofu two weeks in a row.

Upon visiting the restaurant right after opening on Saturday, there was only one other customer, possibly a couple, in this calm and cozy Chinese-style restaurant. The standout dish was the "Super Spicy Mapo Tofu" priced at 900 yen. The tofu used was silky tofu, served in a crumbled state, making it easy to eat with the sauce for a cohesive Mapo Tofu experience. Despite the name "Super Spicy," the dish had a more subdued Sichuan pepper flavor, with the spiciness coming mainly from the chili oil, making it more palatable for Japanese tastes. The Mapo Tofu had a well-balanced mix of numbing, spiciness, sweetness, and richness. It also tasted great when poured over fried rice. The "Five-Ingredient Fried Rice" priced at 780 yen was simple yet delicious, with a gentle flavor profile. The fried rice featured eggs, green onions, and Chinese ham-like meat instead of char siu, with a mild saltiness and a moist texture. #MapoTofu #FriedRice #StirFriedRice #LocalChineseRestaurant #Lunch #Minamimorimachi #OsakaCityKitaWard #Osaka

I stopped by a popular local Chinese restaurant while on a work trip. I love spicy food, so I ordered the Super Spicy Wonton Noodle Set Meal (tax included 1,130 yen). You can choose between rice or chimaki, so I chose chimaki. It's quite spicy and makes me sweat, but the Sichuan peppercorns add a great flavor.

Visited around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday with two other groups of customers. Orders were served in about 5 minutes. The daily special was something with pork and chives, but the portion of pork was small. The taste was quite sour. The sweet and sour pork also had a relatively strong vinegar taste. A side dish was included, and you could get extra rice. Considering the current situation, the prices were reasonable, but overall, it was just okay. If I were to rate it like a typical Chinese restaurant, I would give it 3.0 to 3.5 stars.

I had a delicious Super Mabo Tofu (¥1100) and Tan Tan Men (¥1000) at Fukuryuen near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. There are two types of Super Mabo Tofu, and I tried the spicier night version. The owner was concerned if I could handle it, but the perfect level of spiciness made it incredibly tasty.

The local Chinese restaurant loved by the locals has a slightly intimidating head chef and a kind female assistant. They serve dishes at record speed! Their famous dish is the mapo tofu, which has both ordinary and exceptional versions. The spiciness level is adjustable, and the flavors are easy to enjoy. As mentioned in other reviews, the tofu is quite prominent, so adding a bit more minced meat would be nice!

Near the house of a child who moved to Osaka, there is a Chinese restaurant in the town. On this day, an old man? explained the dishes as he made and served them. Everything you order is delicious. On this day, the stir-fried dish with pork and mushrooms, the mapo tofu with a poster of Sakamoto Ryoma, and the mysterious acidity of the dish - is it chili oil? The five-ingredient soba is also good. Will definitely come back.

I came to Fukuryuen near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. It is a typical city Chinese restaurant, but it has been selected as one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants on Tabelog. Today, I ordered the stir-fried liver and leek. The liver and leek that came out was not just stir-fried liver and leek, but also included bamboo shoots, onions, and the liver was coated with batter and fried to a crispy and fluffy texture. It exceeded the level of a typical city Chinese restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today, for the first time in a while, there was no overtime at work. The company doesn't pay overtime unless it's recorded in the digital system, so it's refreshing to be able to finish work without doing any extra hours! Feeling refreshed, with the sun still high in the sky, I decided to go see some cherry blossoms to cleanse my mind. Even though cherry blossom season is almost over, I went in search of some late bloomers. Just strolling around made me happy. There was a famous person who used to say that looking at flowers ages you, but if aging comes from admiring beautiful flowers, then that's just part of life. Walking around made me hungry, so I started looking for dinner. I found a nice set meal restaurant and headed there, only to find out that it was closed due to an employee falling ill. So I ended up at another restaurant, which seemed to be quite popular. The staff asked if it was okay to seat us in a makeshift area, and we didn't mind. I ordered a cup of oolong tea for myself and the food was delicious. We had skewered chicken, shrimp with mayonnaise, pork and bell pepper stir-fry, and shrimp fried rice, which came to about 5500 yen in total. The food was tasty, the service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside was that the restaurant was small, so we could hear the staff's conversations clearly. Despite that, we were happy to have found a delicious restaurant to dine at, but it made me realize how much I miss having a nice dining atmosphere at home.

I visited a Chinese restaurant in Osaka Tenmangu Shrine for the first time. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and there were 2 people waiting outside. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with well-worn furniture and a stubborn-looking owner, which added to the charm. I ordered the mapo tofu, which had a spicy oil sauce and soft tofu. It was delicious!

Fukuryu-en. A small restaurant with only 2 tables and a counter that can seat about 5 people. The signature dish of this restaurant seems to be mapo tofu, but the menu offers both mapo tofu and super spicy mapo tofu. Looking at the customers around me, it seems like they are ordering the super spicy version, so I decided to try that. I also ordered some pan-fried dumplings, stir-fried pork and peppers, and shrimp fried rice with vegetables. I was a bit worried about how spicy the super spicy mapo tofu would be, but surprisingly it was not too bad. Maybe it's tailored for Japanese taste? Everything I tried was delicious. This restaurant seems to follow in the footsteps of Sichuan cuisine masters.

I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. I chose the super spicy mapo tofu from the Sichuan-style menu. It wasn't as numbing as I expected, but the spiciness hit me hard. The rice was a bit too soft for my liking. I also noticed the noodles and they looked tempting.
