Visited "Ramen Yatsuya" in Iwanai Town, which opened a month ago in October 2021. There is no parking lot, but you can manage to find parking nearby. The menu offers three flavors (miso, soy sauce, salt) with variations like stamina or burnt (ma-yu), and I decided to order the burnt salt ramen after a recommendation from the female staff. While waiting, I noticed a student discount for free extra noodles or a noodle refill with a student ID, which is not uncommon. However, what surprised me was the "Bald Manager Support Campaign" where bald customers can get 100 yen off by declaring, "I am bald!" at the cashier. The soup was a rich pork bone broth with a hint of back fat and ma-yu, which was delicious as usual. I tried adding grated garlic from the table, but it didn't quite match the burnt salt flavor, so I enjoyed it as is. The saltiness was just right for me, and the noodles had a nice firm texture. The toppings included chashu, menma, half-boiled seasoned egg, bean sprouts, onions, and green onions. Overall, I was impressed by the taste and can see this place becoming popular among locals in Iwanai. Personally, I didn't have the courage to claim the bald discount, but I know a few people who could, so I encourage someone to take the first step and declare it next time!
