"Hormone Ramen Tangerine Miso" for 1,140 yen and "Chashu Don" for 0 yen (with LINE coupon service). It's Tangerine-ya here. I continue to operate, so you can always enjoy delicious ramen. I arrived at the restaurant and this time I chose a table seat. The wooden table is a bit shaky, but I don't mind as it adds to the charm. I was planning to order the charcoal-grilled chashu as usual, but I noticed a special menu called "Hormone Ramen" only available at this branch, so I decided to try it. The "Chashu Don" arrived in just a few minutes with the LINE coupon service. The color, aroma, and presentation were all so appetizing! Let's try the hormone ramen. It's so tender and delicious! And there's a generous amount of it. The miso flavor of the broth is great. Let's taste the soup. Oh... the spiciness of the tangerine miso is mild and smooth. It could be a bit spicier, but adding a little extra spice makes it just right. The Chashu Don, despite being a LINE service offer, was quite substantial. There's so much chashu that you can hardly see the rice underneath. It was delicious! Highly recommended! I was completely satisfied with the tender hormone ramen and the Chashu Don!

This is a ramen restaurant located in a residential area of Asahikawa. They offer shoyu, shio, and miso ramen, but it seems like miso ramen is their specialty. Specifically, they have "black shoyu," "white shoyu," "shio," "miso," and their signature "orange miso" ramen. The "orange miso" ramen is a rich miso ramen with a spicy kick. The flame-seared chashu is also delicious. It's rare to find a miso ramen-focused restaurant in Asahikawa, but their miso ramen is tasty.

"I ordered the 'Charred Chashu Shoyu Ramen with 3 slices of pork belly and orange miso' for 1,130 yen. With the LINE coupon, I also got a 'Mini Curry Rice' for free. It had been 3 years since I last visited the Orange or Toko branch. I was seated at a raised tatami seating area, which I'm not particularly fond of due to my legs getting tired and numb. But since there were limited regular tables available, I had to settle for it. The ramen arrived with thick slices of chashu on top, which you're supposed to dip in the soup before eating. The soup and noodles were both delicious. The chashu was tasty, but 3 slices were a bit too much due to the richness of the meat. My companion ordered 5 slices and struggled to finish them. It might be better to have rice with it, like with yakiniku. The curry rice, though not spicy, had good flavor and was a nice touch. Overall, it was a satisfying meal."

It was past lunchtime, and I noticed the shop was still open as I walked by, so I decided to go in. I couldn't remember the last time I had been to Togenya. I looked at the menu and since I was quite hungry, I ordered the double chashu ramen. After a while, the dish was served. Hmm, this is more like a meat dish than ramen. First, I tried the soup, which surprisingly had a light taste. I started with the noodles, which were soft and delicious, but a bit on the small side. I felt like it wasn't quite enough. Then, there were two types of chashu. One had a subtle simmered meat flavor. The other one... Well, some people say that the taste of burnt eel is similar to the taste of burnt meat. I don't agree with that. The smoking effect and the far infrared of the charcoal elevate the quality of the meat. However, this chashu was burned on the surface from being heated too much, making it quite bitter. It was almost inedible. It was like when no one touches the burnt food at a barbecue. Everything was mismatched, but it was an interesting experience. I don't expect any further improvement, so I'll leave it at that.

The amount of back fat in the ramen might be proportional to the coldness of Hokkaido. The broth is very oily, with oil coating the surface of the bean sprouts and cabbage. The chashu is as big as half a face, and I could only manage to eat one slice. The seasoned egg is salty, and the noodles are thin and delicious. The orange miso has a slight spiciness, but is refreshing and tasty. The service chashu rice bowl, with sweetly simmered diced chashu, is a bit dry on its own, but pairs perfectly with mayonnaise!

Yesterday, I went camping with my family at Oku Shirataki in Enbetsu Town to refresh. On the way back, we stopped by at the Tohko Store in Asahikawa. This shop also has a branch in Higashi Ward, Sapporo, and their orange miso and plum salt tonkotsu ramen are popular. When in Asahikawa, you have to try the super spicy ramen, right? I ordered the super spicy ramen "Instant Death" and the staff said, "One Instant Death coming up!" in a rather strange conversation. It arrived in about 15 minutes. It looked really spicy. I took a sip of the soup... the spiciness slowly kicked in! The ramen, with a miso base and a hint of sweetness, was delicious. The noodles were thin and had a great texture. Is the spiciness of Asahikawa ramen known for its sweet and spicy flavor? There seem to be many similar shops with a similar base. Personally, I like it! Despite being named "Instant Death," the spiciness was mild, but the ramen was very tasty and satisfying. Looking forward to the next spicy journey in Asahikawa! Thank you for the meal. Now, I was thinking about what to do for lunch when I realized that I didn't have my wallet, so I went back home and then went out again. It was lunchtime, but it wasn't crowded at all. Some places seemed to be closed due to the impact of the coronavirus. I decided to have soy sauce ramen and mixed rice. It only took 5 minutes for the food to arrive, and it looked like typical Chinese-style ramen. The soup was a dark color and had a rich flavor. The ramen had spinach and naruto, giving it a traditional Chinese ramen feel. The seasoned bamboo shoots and chashu pork (belly and shoulder) were both tender and well-seasoned. The flavored egg was also delicious, with a perfectly cooked yolk. Even though the cuts of meat were different, they were both cooked to the same tender texture. The noodles were medium thickness and slightly curly, with a moderate water content. You could also enjoy flavor variations with fried garlic and fried onions. The mixed rice was fluffy and tasted freshly cooked, with a good seasoning. The staff were efficient and friendly, which I appreciated.

The food here is really delicious! I used to live in Asahikawa but never got to eat squid rice bowl, so I came here to fulfill that desire. The squid rice bowl and ramen are both delicious! I especially love the ramen here, and used to eat the super spicy ramen called "instant death" multiple times. It seems like they still have it now. I don't eat spicy food as much anymore, but the ramen here is really tasty. When I searched for squid rice bowl, I found out that they have it at Orenjiya as well, so I went there with high expectations as soon as they opened. Despite the staff rushing around and shouting "Have you ordered yet??" everywhere, I was the first one to have my order taken as I was in no rush and dining alone.

Today's lunch was at Togenya. It was snowing heavily outside! I was worried about where to go because the parking lot was small, but then I found Togenya! The entrance didn't look like a typical ramen shop. There were so many menu options that I couldn't decide. This time, I chose the regular miso ramen with a jumbo fried chicken set. After a 10-minute wait, the ramen was served. And then the fried chicken! It was huge. But it was a bit hard to eat because it wasn't cut into pieces. The ramen had thin noodles, which was a bit surprising. It was light and delicious. They also offer free toppings, which was fun to customize the dish.

Orangeya-san, I've been to the main store a few times, but this is my first time at the "Tokou Store." The interior is spacious, with plenty of table seats and sunken kotatsu seats! The menu is extensive, so it's hard to choose... Oh, they have "Geso Don" here... (it's also known as a soul food in Asahikawa). But since I came for ramen, maybe a set would be good? I'll have the "Ramen Mini Geso Don Set" with salt ramen, please (1,100 yen including tax). I like Orange Miso, but for the Geso Don, maybe a refreshing salt ramen would be better? Here, you can choose from "Abura" fragrances like "Shrimp," "Onion," and "Garlic," so let's go with "Shrimp Abura"! It will be served in about 7-8 minutes! The salt ramen... the soup is based on seafood. The sesame flavor is nice too. The fragrance of shrimp abura is also good. The ingredients are quite simple, with large slices of chashu, menma, kaiware, nori, and green onions. The slightly oily soup might be a matter of personal taste... but it doesn't seem too heavy. The noodles are Orangeya-san's original "thin noodles." You can change to "medium thin noodles" if you like! I added some fried leeks on the table to change the flavor (laughs). I actually like these burnt leeks! The mini geso don... crispy fried geso with sweet sauce poured over it, it's delicious as always! Ramen shop set menus can be filling and calorie-conscious, but after a long time, having geso don was delicious!

No... it's been about 18 years, I think? haha I remembered the time when I went with my child's age... I had visited the main store and also the Higashi-Koizumi store a few times before... The first time I had salt ramen with beef bone soup at the main store, it was really delicious... The clear, beautiful soup was piping hot ♬ The last time I went to the Higashi-Koizumi store, the noodles were too soft, so I stayed away since then... Recently, I went to the main store for lunch after a long time, and the atmosphere of the shop was quite nice and lively, giving off a good ramen shop vibe ♬ I tried the "Vegetable Ramen Orange Miso" that day and it was delicious... Since it was past lunchtime, the inside of the shop was quiet... but there were about three groups of customers who had not finished eating yet, so I decided to wait leisurely... It's okay because I have my smartphone (haha) I remember waiting for over 30 minutes when there were no customers at all, but it arrived in about 10 minutes (^_-) It was almost the same as the main store, I think? The chili pepper wasn't cooked in, just sprinkled on top, so it wasn't as spicy as it looked... almost a bit unsatisfying (ˊᵕˋ ;) The miso and pork fat had a decent richness, and the balance between miso and salt was good, with vegetables in it, just the right amount... ♪*゚ If it had been a bit hotter... I would have been even happier... Thanks for the meal ♬

Orange miso. As someone who just returned from Honshu, this miso is a bit strong for me, but it has a rich flavor. I wonder if I will get used to the taste of Hokkaido? Or is it just because of my age? ^^;

It is a shop where not only the ramen is delicious, but also the chashu. I have been there several times and I would recommend it to others. It would be even better if there were wet towels and tissues on the table.

Today's ramen is from Asahikawa, at the "Daidaiya Higashi Hikari Store". I arrived in Asahikawa at 8pm for fishing and decided to grab something to eat first. I asked the rental car shop owner, An-chan, for a recommendation and she suggested "Kura". However, since it was closing around 8pm, I decided to go to the second recommended place, "Daidaiya". It appeared on a dark street and I had high expectations. I tried their most popular "miso ramen". It had a bit of spiciness, but it was your typical miso ramen. It seemed to have a lot of back fat. There was also a "shrimp salt tonkotsu" option, maybe I should have tried that instead.

Whenever I go to a restaurant, I always order the whole toppings ramen. It's perfect for someone like me who is always indecisive and wants to try everything. It's a ramen where all my wishes come true, so I'm grateful for it. When I have room in my stomach, I also order extra rice or gyoza.
