On this day, we ordered a beer set with lettuce fried rice and steamed buns for two people. The set included oil-splashed chicken, xiao long bao, and mapo tofu. The portions were already large, so the set dishes seemed like a normal serving for one person, right? The fried rice we ordered separately was definitely enough for two people compared to others.

If you're looking for lunch in Morimachi, this is the place to go! They have a wide variety of menu options that are reasonably priced and generously portioned. This Chinese restaurant allows you to mix and match your set meals, which always leaves me undecided. Today, I had the Taiwan miso ramen and pickled vegetable fried rice. I even finished the soup that came with the ramen. Next time, I might try their set meals.

Taiwanese origin authentic Taiwanese cuisine restaurant with a spacious parking lot and interior. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, all served in generous portions. Set meals come with two dishes in a normal serving size (which is actually quite large). The bento boxes are filled to the brim with small side dishes, leaving customers fully satisfied. The highlight is the fried chicken set meal, where each piece of fried chicken is the size of a woman's fist, served in a substantial mountain of food.

I ordered a set menu with a large portion of ramen and fried rice, but I couldn't finish it all so I took the fried rice to go.

Recently, there has been an increase in chain stores in Hokkaido. They are operated under various store names, but I wonder why? Are they run by people from the continent? Both of these stores offer good value for money and are very convenient to use. I find them very handy. I arrived at the store a little after opening time. At this store, you have to take off your shoes and change into sandals before entering, which I find a bit uncomfortable. I would prefer to be barefoot. When I tried to order, I noticed that there was no lunch menu available. The set meals were all priced at 1080 yen. Since the lunch prices seemed a bit high, I ended up ordering a ramen and rice set for 800 yen. However, at the time of payment, the lunch price was actually 700 yen. It turns out there was just no lunch menu on the table. I ordered the Taiwan miso ramen and shrimp chili egg rice, which were served by a friendly woman. They looked very delicious. However, I was surprised by the sweetness of the shrimp chili. I expected it to be spicy, but it was actually very sweet, almost like a ketchup and sugar sauce on top of fluffy eggs and white rice with three shrimp. The Taiwan ramen was a bit salty compared to other chain stores I've tried. The ingredients were simple, so it lacked volume, but the portion of noodles seemed sufficient for one person. I managed to finish it by alternating between the ramen and rice. There are many combinations of ramen and rice dishes, so I think I can enjoy them every time I visit. The set meals are also great value at 700 yen including tax. Next time, I might try the set meal. It looked delicious at the table next to me. It seems to have a good portion size.

I went to a restaurant with a friend at night. It was after 9:00 PM, but it was quite busy probably due to the end of the year. We ordered a "pair set" for two people. The menu seemed to have a lot of options, but the portions looked small, so we were considering adding fried rice or something. However, dish after dish kept coming, and we quickly became full. It was unexpected how much food we got. Some dishes were a bit too salty, but overall it was decent and we were very satisfied in terms of value for money. The yakisoba was especially delicious. They also serve alcohol, and it's one of the few large restaurants open late in the area (Mori Town). I underestimated it at first, but it turned out to be a good restaurant. Definitely worth a visit when passing through Mori Town!

When I looked it up, I found that there are many "Taiwanese Cuisine Meiwaisen" restaurants, I wonder if it's a chain? While thinking about that, I visited this particular store... It's not listed on Tabelog, so I added it, but I'm not sure if it's correct (sweat). Since moving to Hakodate, I've always been curious about this place, it's a prominent restaurant along Route 5. Inside the restaurant, you have to take off your shoes and store them in lockers. There are even lockers specifically for boots. The decorations are more Chinese than Taiwanese. I ordered the shrimp and egg stir-fry lunch, which costs 700 yen. It arrived in about 5-6 minutes. It was more voluminous than I expected. Let's dig in! The flavor is salt-based. There might be a bit less shrimp than expected, but there are plenty of fluffy eggs. There are lots of vegetables like Qing geng cai, bell peppers, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, wood ear fungus, and something else. The dessert or side dish, a pumpkin tempura-like item, was surprisingly delicious. You can have seconds of rice, but I was satisfied with this meal. I had a self-serve coffee after the meal. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely visit again. See you next time!

The location is facing National Route 5 with a parking lot for over 20 cars on site, making it easily accessible by car. We ordered the "Pair Set" for two people (¥2,800) and the dishes came out in the following order:
1. Mapo tofu with a generous amount of tofu. Despite being Taiwanese cuisine, it was quite spicy, but lacked the Sichuan peppercorn or star anise taste.
2. Pork salad with plenty of lettuce, cabbage, cucumber, and other vegetables, along with a generous amount of meat.
3. Shrimp mayo with a whopping 12 pieces of shrimp. The mayo had a mild flavor.
4. Gyoza with small, pretty dumplings with a light filling.
5. Egg soup with plenty of leafy vegetables. It was lightly seasoned but had a strong vegetable flavor.
6. Taiwanese yakisoba, which was served even though we were already full by dish 5. It was loaded with vegetables and had a strong flavor. Delicious, but we were way past our stomach capacity.
7. Teppanyaki beef with thinly sliced meat, tomatoes, peas, onions, and other vegetables cooked in oyster sauce. It had a good flavor and a substantial portion.
Overall, we couldn't finish all the food and had to ask the staff for a takeout container.

A chain store from Aomori? There are colorful urethane sandals that look like they could be bought at a 100 yen store in the shoe box, so I changed into them and entered the store. I was quite lost but decided to order the Moussaka set meal. The table was a bit sticky, but it was fine. The food came out quickly and it was quite a large portion. The main dish, Moussaka stir-fry, was very salty and the rice was dry and tasteless. I managed to finish it out of stubbornness, but it seems like this place prioritizes quantity over quality.
