Last February, I heard about a sushi restaurant in Dazaifu run by someone who trained overseas. I found a charming place called NISHIKIMACHI, which recently opened next to the approach to the shrine. The omakase lunch featured small dishes and 12 pieces of sushi, and among them, the dried shrimp hand roll was exceptional. The sushi, crafted with overseas training, was served in a smart and pleasant setting, allowing for a wonderful experience.
In early April, the weather was also lovely. The normally crowded approach to the shrine was enjoyable, and I was able to visit the shrine while dining. This is definitely a place I want to return to. Thank you for the delicious meal! ✴︎✴︎✴︎ Dried shrimp hand roll #sushi #sushiHirano #omakaseLunch 11,000 yen #additional #akagai (red clam) innards #kappa maki #bringYourOwn 5,000 yen #DazaifuLunch #Dazaifu

There is a sushi restaurant within walking distance from Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. It has a counter only and is non-smoking. The entrance is not visible from the street as the restaurant is located a bit further inside. Both the chef and the staff are very kind and gentle, making it a comfortable place to relax, even for first-time visitors. I went there for lunch, and sunlight streamed in from the ceiling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Although it’s a bit far, I definitely want to go back to this restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

This is my fifth visit to "Sushi Hiranō," located near the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu. Recently, I went there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I first visited last October for our wedding anniversary dinner, and I've been captivated by the chef's sushi ever since.
The restaurant has a calm and simple atmosphere with only counter seating, which makes it a lovely space. The chef and his wife are warm and friendly, making it an enjoyable experience despite being a high-end restaurant.
The course meal includes appetizers followed by sushi. The focus is on sake, and although I usually prefer wine, there isn't any wine available, so I enjoy the sake recommended by the chef. When I convey my taste preferences for alcohol, he suggests sake that suits both my tastes and the dishes, so trusting the chef’s recommendations works well.
One of the highlights is being able to watch the chef's beautiful and meticulous work up close at the counter. This time as well, I savored delicious dishes and sake! Each time I visit, I discover new seasonal flavors that are delightful.
This is a restaurant I want to keep returning to forever. I highly recommend it to everyone!

I mistakenly thought it was from the owner of the restaurant Furukawa (*´థ.థ`*) Hehe, I heard that a new sushi restaurant has opened around the Dazaifu Tenmangu approach. Since I love that area, I went to check it out. When I arrived at the restaurant, it seemed like Mr. Furukawa had already contacted them for me, which was very kind of him. As we are in the same industry, we had a great time chatting about the restaurant business (*^^*).
The course meal had dishes typical of a sushi restaurant, with a nice balance of appetizer and sushi that made the drinks flow quite freely ( ´థ౪థ)σ I feel that sushi appetizers are often cold, but here they had many warm dishes, which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you very much for the wonderful meal!\(^o^)/

I visited the restaurant based on a recommendation. The fish and the sushi were both delicious, but the vinegar rice was especially tasty. The way the mackerel was prepared really suited my taste, so I ended up ordering more. The chef, Hirano, trained in Hong Kong, has created a space that beautifully blends tradition with modern elements, making it quite innovative. There was also thoughtful attention given to the vessels used for the drinks. I had a wonderful time enjoying delicious food, good drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere.
