I came to Yubetsu and thought it would be a good idea to have a meal since I'm here. I don't want udon, there's no soba, and the ramen doesn't seem tasty. Oh, there was that Western-style restaurant I've been curious about. Leaving Yubetsu and heading towards Mombetsu, after a few kilometers, I started to worry, "Can they survive in a place like this?" I even mentioned, "Maybe they closed down?" When I arrived, there was a sign saying "Preparing." Preparing means they are actually open, so I felt relieved. I had to wait for about 30 minutes. The background music in the car today is Kobukuro, and my wife is humming along. I can't wait for it to open. The atmosphere here is nice, and I've been curious about this place for a while. Initially, I was worried unnecessarily, but they seem to be doing well. The fact that they are still open and trying hard means they must be getting customers. A little mysterious. It's 11:00 now, but there was no sign of anyone inside. It's not opening. "Maybe they're closed today?" my wife said. "Then, why don't you call them?" I replied. "We should have called from the beginning," she said. So I made the call. "No one is answering the phone... Um, what time do you open today? Oh, I see. Okay, thank you." I hung up. "They said they'll open around 11:10, so let's wait a bit," I told my wife. The phone was answered by a nice guy, my wife commented. "There's no lady answering!" I couldn't say that. At the appointed time, they finally opened. The sign now says "Open." We went in. The place is quite spacious. The tables are arranged comfortably. Even if they put more tables, they probably couldn't handle it. The place is cold, with a wood stove. The indoor temperature is 15 degrees. There are also rooms on the second floor, but I don't know how they are used. The background music is piano, creating a nice atmosphere. No, my wife doesn't play the piano. She's more suited for the cymbals. The pasta arrived after about 20 minutes. It looks delicious. The pasta is hot, as it should be. The ingredients are of good quality. The black pepper aroma is nice. The clams are surprisingly good. The shrimp is average. The sauce is not overpowering but lacks a bit of depth. A touch of blue cheese flavor would have been perfect. The pasta is undeniably delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to have such pasta here. The lunch also looks great. The presentation shows a great sense of style. The hamburger is topped with an egg, not cheese as my wife thought. The hamburger is tough and slightly burnt on the surface. The sauce is too strong. The side dishes are visually appealing and delicious. The only problem is the rice. It's not tasty. This place is definitely a pasta restaurant. The pasta is more than enough, my wife ate more than half of it. The portion of the pasta is impressive. I would prefer if the price could be kept under 1,000 yen considering the portion size. I would rate the pasta 4.0 and the lunch 3.3. My wife was a bit annoyed that they didn't apologize for the wait. She's becoming more outspoken lately. Maybe she's louder than me now? I was thinking of making this place the milestone, but I guess not. Just keep up the good work.
