Today, I finally got to visit "Ganso Bucchikiri Sushi Uoshin," which opened last November and I had been eagerly waiting to go. Ever since I saw their lunch on Instagram, I thought, "I absolutely want to eat that!" My excitement was at its peak! After working hard in the morning, I barely made it in time for my reservation, so I drove over. I made it just in time (laughs). Since they open at 11:30, I arrived right on the dot. The ambiance of the restaurant is incredible, giving off a luxurious feel reminiscent of an adult club or lounge. Plus, the extravagant lunch menu showcases their commitment to high-quality ingredients. Despite the elegant setting, the staff were friendly, cheerful, and genuine, which was delightful. Today's order: ⬜︎ Kusyu Wagyu Uni Ikura Zanmai Bento (4480 yen) ⬜︎ Luxurious Seafood Zanmai Bowl (4480 yen) ⬜︎ Friend's order: Hon Maguro Spring Rolls (750 yen) ⬜︎ Asahi Super Dry (650 yen) ⬜︎ Asahi Dry Zero (450 yen) I already had my mind set on what I wanted, so ordering took just two seconds (laughs). I sat at the counter, which allowed me to watch the chef prepare our dishes—a fun, live experience! It was exciting to see our bento being assembled. Soon enough, the waitstaff announced, "Thank you for waiting," and there it was in front of me: the stunningly extravagant bento and rice bowl! They looked so lavish and beautiful, shining with the freshness of the seafood. I felt so good for getting up early and working hard on an empty stomach. I composed myself and took my first bite. "Wowww!" First, I tried the Kusyu Wagyu, which I mixed with some egg—it exploded with flavor in my mouth. The Ikura and Uni, dipped lightly in soy sauce and wasabi (which I requested on a separate plate to keep the flavor balanced), were simply outstanding! The chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and red miso soup that accompanied the meal were also delicious. My friend's luxurious seafood bowl was incredibly beautiful as well, with Uni, Ikura, shrimp, salmon belly, and crab meat—a true feast! It felt like a New Year’s celebration, it was so exquisite (laughs). I had a taste, and it was difficult to decide which dish was better. I went with the Wagyu bento since I wanted some meat, but for those who prefer seafood, the bowl might be the way to go! For those who want both, well, you only live once—maybe I should just order both next time (laughs). After finishing, I wanted to try another recommendation from the staff, and they suggested the Hon Maguro Spring Rolls. Before I tried it, I had to see the cross-section. You could tell the skill of the chef was in every detail. Despite appearing light, the combination of the rich flavor of the Hon Maguro, the crunch of carrot, and the creaminess of cheese wrapped in spring roll and dipping sauce was simply delicious. I devoured it in no time (laughs). Today, it didn't seem overly filling at first glance, but once I started eating, there was a good amount, so for anyone who isn't a giant eater, it should be quite satisfying. The atmosphere was great, the service friendly, and the taste was top-notch, so I will definitely be returning. Next time, I want to try their signature "Ganso Bucchikiri Sushi Assortment." The portions are huge (laughs)! It was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I made a reservation to try the limited 10 lunch sets. I went with the special sushi set for 1,500 yen (which comes with chawanmushi and red miso soup)! All 10 pieces had large portions and were delicious! I thought the taste was great for the price. If I had to wish for something, I would have liked extra wasabi since I enjoy a strong kick. By the way, at this restaurant, the soy sauce is in a bottle on the table, and you apply it with a brush. The hot tea can be ordered through a mobile QR code, but a kind staff member asked if I wanted any and brought it to me. Next time, I plan to try a variety of sushi, even if it costs a bit more!

The sushi was thick and very satisfying to eat. Each piece was large, and it's often served in sets of two, so we were able to go as a pair and enjoy one piece each of various types, which was satisfying! We went for lunch, and there were also reasonably priced sushi sets available! (However, the limited quantity sets were not available when we arrived around 1:30 PM.) The restaurant was clean and had an elegant atmosphere, making it feel like a high-class sushi place.

The restaurant had big, voluminous portions that were quite filling (^○^). However, the prices felt a bit high, making me think it might be geared towards tourists. Indeed, there were many tourists there. The ingredients were delicious! ★

It seems that the restaurant run by Mr. Wabi Buru has excellent procurement skills, offering dishes with a very high cost-performance ratio. Their unique style called “Bucchikiri Sushi” features large toppings and generous portions. The fresh ingredients and unique way of preparing the sushi are notable. However, despite the excellent food, we had a very unpleasant experience with the service, and my friend who accompanied me said they would never return. Given this, I would recommend trying one of the other five locations they have. **Food & Taste:** The ingredients are fresh, and I particularly enjoyed the “Hon Maguro stacked sushi” and “Ikura spilling sushi.” The large toppings offer a full mouthful, providing an amazing eating experience. Comparing the menu prices with those of slightly expensive conveyor belt sushi restaurants, this place definitely offers better value! **Access:** Located just a 3-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station, the access is very convenient. **Atmosphere:** The restaurant has a calm, traditional Japanese ambiance, and you can enjoy watching the skill of the chefs up close at the counter seats. The white wooden tables and decorations give it an elegant impression. For two people, I recommend sitting at the counter, whereas for three or more, sharing sushi at a table is the way to go for a lively atmosphere. **Service:** While the service from the female staff was friendly, I found the interaction with the chefs to be somewhat problematic. I won't go into detail, but my companion was quite upset about it. **Price & Value:** Undoubtedly, the cost-performance is great, making solo dining at the counter easy and pleasant. The lunch is extremely popular, while dinner is slightly pricier, yet considering the freshness and portion size, the satisfaction level is high. We ended up spending 11,000 yen for two people after using a 10% discount coupon from Tabelog.

It seems that a restaurant with several locations in the Kansai area has opened a branch in Shinsaibashi, so I went to check it out. As always, the portions were huge and very satisfying. They can cut the food for you if you can't eat it in one bite. There were also some menu items that aren’t available at the Fukushima location, which made it enjoyable. Personally, I liked the tuna the most.

About a 3.4-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station, this local sushi restaurant offers reasonably priced sushi and has a Tabelog rating of 3.3. I stopped by on a whim before meeting a client because the place I intended to go to was full. I had visited their now-closed Fukushima branch a few times, but this location had "VIP" written on the entrance sign. I thought, it can’t be that expensive, right?! So, I went in. The interior isn’t very large, but it does have the atmosphere of a genuine sushi restaurant. The cheapest lunch option is a set of 7 pieces of sushi for 1,200 yen, and the average price seems to be around 3,000 yen, so it's not really a casual spot for salaryman lunches (laughs). I decided to order the limited "Special Large Sushi Set" for 1,500 yen, and I was glad it was still available. Most of the customers were Asian tourists. It seems like this higher price point is aimed at inbound travelers, with just a few options for Japanese customers that might have accidentally wandered in. The staff were two young men and women who were working hard, though I found their small talk a bit distracting. Unfortunately, it took a while for my order to arrive, but it came just in time for me to make my appointment. The meal included 10 pieces of sushi, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), and red miso soup. For a salaryman, this was more than enough ◎. The sushi toppings included medium-fatty tuna, Wagyu beef, salmon roe, salmon, eel, red shrimp, sea bream, and whelk. The toppings were pretty good, but the texture of the rice and the balance of the vinegar could use a little improvement. There wasn’t anything particularly outstanding, but given the price for this quality… it was decent. I’ve seen news about expensive meals aimed at foreign tourists in Niseko, and this place gives off a similar vibe. I hope they keep some menus catered to Japanese customers. Thank you for the meal!

I enjoyed the Sannomiya location, so I went to the Shinsaibashi location. The tempura of conger eel was delicious, with clean frying oil. The black wagyu beef sashimi was good, but it was significantly smaller than the photo showed. The tuna, both in flavor and size, was impressive! The medium-fatty tuna had a dull color around the edges. The seared black wagyu was quite salty. While Sannomiya used a touch panel for orders, Shinsaibashi required ordering through my phone, which was tiring. Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I visited Shinsaibashi, and for lunch, I decided to have sushi. I arrived at the restaurant a little past noon, and it was fully booked, but thankfully I could get in right away. I ordered the limited 10 servings of the premium sushi set. Eating sushi freshly made right in front of me by the chef was truly delightful. It came with red miso soup and chawanmushi, which was just the right portion for my wife. I added two pieces of flounder to my order. After our meal, we took a stroll to Hozenji Yokocho and enjoyed our time in Shinsaibashi.

Uoshin has a location in Umeda and this particular branch is in Shinsaibashi. The atmosphere here is very calming, with a charming counter setup. Although there were no issues with the service, I did notice a bit of tension from the chef towards the younger staff, which I think could be handled better behind the scenes. The taste of the sushi is consistently good! It’s well-made, and the preparation is skillful, allowing us to enjoy a delicious meal. I appreciated the 10% discount from Tabelog as well!

I recently went to Ganso Bucchigiri Sushi Ushigokoro in Shinsaibashi after a long time. Their specialty is the biggest sushi with oversized toppings in Japan. I heard that they were already three times larger than usual, but it seems they've gotten even bigger! For those who find the portions too large to eat comfortably, they will cut them in half upon request, but I'm all for the bigger, the better! They even serve sea urchin in a wooden box, and you get to place it on your sushi yourself, which is a fun touch. The restaurant has a gorgeous ambiance with a wooden counter and a chandelier, striking a balance between being elegant but not intimidating. It’s not as casual as conveyor belt sushi or trendy neon spots, making it a great sushi restaurant in my opinion.

I want to see someone who can eat a whole sushi platter in one bite! This盛り合わせ (assorted platter) features delicious bluefin tuna and eel, plus my favorite toro-taku (fatty tuna with pickled radish). If you follow the restaurant's account and give them a like, they’ll give you a ¥1,000 discount. There might be more information available, so why not take a peek? The lunch boxes and rice bowls they offer are also appealing. I really want to try them! When it comes to sushi restaurants with gigantic portions, I think many Osaka locals would mention this place! I found out that an established sushi restaurant located in the Higashi-Dori shopping street in Umeda had expanded to Shinsaibashi, so I decided to check it out. That restaurant is "Ganso Bucchikiri Sushi Ushio Shinsaibashi." I've been to the Umeda branch a few times, but when I visited again after a long time, I was surprised by how reasonable the prices were while still offering sushi with huge portions! Since it’s in Shinsaibashi, there are many international visitors, and the impressive presentation of the dishes often catches people's eyes as they walk by. Ushio serves various types of impactful sushi, including: - Layered sushi (Kasanesushi) - Dripped sushi (Tarashizushi) that hangs down like a kimono sleeve - Overflowing sushi (Koboshizushi) piled high with ingredients - Wrapped sushi (Tomoezushi) with eel and anago (conger eel) Here’s what I ordered this time✨✨ - Ganso Bucchikiri Sushi Assorted Platter: ¥3,650 - Sea Urchin Wooden Box: ¥2,900 - Fresh Oyster (one): ¥550 - Hand Roll Sushi (Sea Urchin and Tuna): ¥700 - Hand Roll Sushi (Salmon and Avocado): ¥450 - Swordtip Squid (two pieces): ¥450 - Large Horse Mackerel (one piece): ¥250 - Ganso Bucchikiri Sushi Assorted Platter: This is the signature assortment at Ushio! The portions are ridiculously huge, especially the eel and anago, which are comically large! Of course, the fish is fresh and delicious, but the sheer size of the portions is what really stands out! - Sea Urchin Wooden Box: Wow… I felt so indulgent able to enjoy an entire wooden box filled with sea urchin that I could scoop and eat myself. Eating sea urchin like this is a rare treat, and it’s truly delicious and impressive, so I highly recommend it! - Fresh Oyster: Yes... this is my favorite ❤️ There’s no unpleasant smell, and the flesh is plump and juicy!✨✨ - Large Horse Mackerel: So fatty and delicious! Sushi starts at around ¥200 for two pieces, making it surprisingly affordable. And for those who enjoy drinks, there’s a great promotional offer: until the end of June, if you follow and like on Instagram, you can get highballs, beers, or sours for just ¥199! This is a fantastic deal! I highly encourage everyone to check it out! 😊

I started craving sushi again, so I came back to this place, and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been here. No matter when I visit, the quality of the fish is always reliable and delicious. I always look forward to "Today's Recommendation," and this time, I tried the chef’s special, rare tuna brain, which was fantastic. The golden-eye snapper was also lightly grilled, giving it a delightful firmness—absolutely delicious. The signature tuna red meat pile is so large that I can’t fit it all in my mouth at once, but savoring that rich flavor fills me with happiness, and I can't help but smile. Thank you for the meal today! I’ve noticed a lot of overseas customers making reservations lately, and they mentioned there's a 90-minute seating limit for the last customers. Right now, I’m in the Namba and Shinsaibashi area, and it seems that all the restaurants are packed with international visitors!

Each type of seafood consistently offers a great size and taste, and the clam-rich red miso soup has the perfect thickness that pairs well with sushi. I always look forward to the chef's recommendations of seasonal dishes. Today, I enjoyed fresh firefly squid, which was delightful. The cherry sea bream sushi with the fish on top of the creamy roe was wonderfully rich in flavor. I also indulged in the usual layers of tuna, filling my mouth with the tender red tuna, which, as always, had a smooth texture without any fishy or watery taste. It was a truly happy moment.

I visited Uoshin for the third time since its renewal. Whenever I crave sushi, this is the place I choose. It's a reliable restaurant where I can enjoy delicious fish and sushi in a casual setting at reasonable prices. Although I only go about once a month, the head chef remembers me well. Today, the size of the tuna layered sushi was impressively large, thanks to the chef's dedication. I was so happy to savor the finely textured red tuna filling my mouth. I also love the simmered yellowtail with daikon and the miso soup full of clams. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the mood for sushi again.

A little luxury for lunch! ✨ I went to Uoshin, the original "Bucchikiri Sushi," which opened in Shinsaibashi on November 21, to enjoy their special lunch menu. ● Uoshin Gozen - 2,980 yen: a platter of 7 pieces of sushi, a sashimi assortment, a tempura assortment, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), and akajiru (red miso soup). ● Special Sushi Set - 2,980 yen: a platter of 7 pieces of sushi, 3 pieces of toro-taku (fatty tuna with pickled radish), chawanmushi, and akajiru. ● Raw Oyster - 550 yen each ● Unshu Mikan Sour - 495 yen ● Chunky Mango Sour - 650 yen Everything looked delicious, and I had a hard time deciding, but my friend and I shared the Gozen and the Special Set. It was nice to be able to enjoy not just sushi, but also sashimi and tempura. The sashimi was thickly sliced yet melted in my mouth. The tempura and sushi were all incredibly tasty! The raw oyster was large and wonderfully fresh! The chawanmushi and akajiru were comforting as well. I felt so happy indulging in sushi during lunch! I’m also curious about their bento and rice bowls. ❤️ The seating consists of counter and table options. It’s reasonably priced—not too cheap, not too expensive! It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed dining experience in Shinsaibashi when you want to treat yourself a little.

Introducing the newly opened Uogokoro Shinsaibashi branch, which started in November! They have a visually stunning lunch menu that is perfect for Instagram! ✅ Wagyu Uni Ikura Gozen Box "It's like a treasure chest from a sushi restaurant!" ✨ This luxurious dish features a dream combo of three lavish ingredients: roasted black wagyu beef, uni, and ikura, all generously piled on top! The roasted beef is tender and melts in your mouth! ✅ Deluxe Seafood Bowl A bowl overflowing with salmon, toro, sweet shrimp, uni, and ikura, topped with an abundance of snow crab meat! This lavish menu packs the delightful flavors of the sea. Enjoying the sweet crab makes you feel so happy. Of course, the seafood is super fresh! The large, thin-skinned "real" ikura was especially rich and delicious. Both dishes came with a side of steamed egg custard and red miso soup. As for one of the appetizers, we had fresh spring rolls with tuna... They were cut into bite-sized pieces, making them easy to eat, with tuna, cheese, carrots, and lettuce wrapped inside. The dinner atmosphere was sophisticated and calm due to the dim lighting, but lunch has a more casual vibe. Plus, the location is just about a 2-minute walk from the Shinsaibashi station, which is a big plus!

Opened on November 21, Ganso Bucchikiri Sushi Uoshin Shinsaibashi has a stylish and high-end atmosphere, and it is beautifully decorated. I had the Uoshin Gozen, which includes seven pieces of sushi, sashimi, tempura, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), and red miso soup. If you want to try a variety of dishes, this is highly recommended and offers great value! The Tokusen Nigiri Teishoku features an assortment of premium nigiri like toro (fatty tuna), torotaku (tuna with green onion), salmon, sea bream, eel, wagyu beef, ikura (salmon roe), and uni (sea urchin), along with chawanmushi and red miso soup. For those who want to indulge in special toppings, this is fantastic and very delicious! The special donburi options are also incredibly luxurious, such as the Kuroge Wagyu Uni Ikura Deluxe and the luxurious seafood donburi. There are so many tempting choices!
