Today, I finally got to visit "Ganso Bucchikiri Sushi Uoshin," which opened last November and I had been eagerly waiting to go. Ever since I saw their lunch on Instagram, I thought, "I absolutely want to eat that!" My excitement was at its peak! After working hard in the morning, I barely made it in time for my reservation, so I drove over. I made it just in time (laughs). Since they open at 11:30, I arrived right on the dot. The ambiance of the restaurant is incredible, giving off a luxurious feel reminiscent of an adult club or lounge. Plus, the extravagant lunch menu showcases their commitment to high-quality ingredients. Despite the elegant setting, the staff were friendly, cheerful, and genuine, which was delightful.
Today's order:
⬜︎ Kusyu Wagyu Uni Ikura Zanmai Bento (4480 yen)
⬜︎ Luxurious Seafood Zanmai Bowl (4480 yen)
⬜︎ Friend's order: Hon Maguro Spring Rolls (750 yen)
⬜︎ Asahi Super Dry (650 yen)
⬜︎ Asahi Dry Zero (450 yen)
I already had my mind set on what I wanted, so ordering took just two seconds (laughs). I sat at the counter, which allowed me to watch the chef prepare our dishes—a fun, live experience! It was exciting to see our bento being assembled. Soon enough, the waitstaff announced, "Thank you for waiting," and there it was in front of me: the stunningly extravagant bento and rice bowl! They looked so lavish and beautiful, shining with the freshness of the seafood. I felt so good for getting up early and working hard on an empty stomach.
I composed myself and took my first bite. "Wowww!" First, I tried the Kusyu Wagyu, which I mixed with some egg—it exploded with flavor in my mouth. The Ikura and Uni, dipped lightly in soy sauce and wasabi (which I requested on a separate plate to keep the flavor balanced), were simply outstanding! The chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and red miso soup that accompanied the meal were also delicious. My friend's luxurious seafood bowl was incredibly beautiful as well, with Uni, Ikura, shrimp, salmon belly, and crab meat—a true feast! It felt like a New Year’s celebration, it was so exquisite (laughs). I had a taste, and it was difficult to decide which dish was better. I went with the Wagyu bento since I wanted some meat, but for those who prefer seafood, the bowl might be the way to go! For those who want both, well, you only live once—maybe I should just order both next time (laughs).
After finishing, I wanted to try another recommendation from the staff, and they suggested the Hon Maguro Spring Rolls. Before I tried it, I had to see the cross-section. You could tell the skill of the chef was in every detail. Despite appearing light, the combination of the rich flavor of the Hon Maguro, the crunch of carrot, and the creaminess of cheese wrapped in spring roll and dipping sauce was simply delicious. I devoured it in no time (laughs). Today, it didn't seem overly filling at first glance, but once I started eating, there was a good amount, so for anyone who isn't a giant eater, it should be quite satisfying.
The atmosphere was great, the service friendly, and the taste was top-notch, so I will definitely be returning. Next time, I want to try their signature "Ganso Bucchikiri Sushi Assortment." The portions are huge (laughs)! It was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the meal!
