This is a Chinese restaurant in Nishi-Yodogawa Ward that has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog in 2023. The exterior is white and has a slightly upscale atmosphere, and inside, the clean interior features white walls with dark brown wood accents. There are four table seats on the first floor and also a second floor. The lunch menu includes A lunch on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, B lunch with tantanmen, C lunch with shrimp and egg chili sauce fried rice, chicken and shiitake mushroom ankake fried rice lunch, and a special Kaname lunch with grain-cut abalone and yuba ankake fried rice. I ordered the chicken and shiitake mushroom ankake fried rice lunch. While enjoying warm tea from a teapot, the dish arrived in about 7 minutes. The fried rice was quite voluminous and came with tofu, soup, and pickled vegetables. The soup was hot and had a gentle flavor of egg drop, which seemed to be the base for various dishes. The tofu was topped with minced meat miso and a refreshing, tangy sauce. The pickled vegetables were mixed with sesame and served as a nice palate cleanser. The ankake sauce on the fried rice was not poured over the entire dish but left slightly separate, which was a nice touch. The fried rice was not oily and had a perfect fluffy texture, while the ankake sauce had a slightly thick consistency with plenty of chicken and shiitake mushrooms. The distinct yet harmonious flavors of the fried rice and ankake sauce created a wonderful combination. There are many variations of ankake fried rice, but this one was my ideal version. It was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The Chinese restaurant in Nishi Yodogawa-ku, Osaka City, is a bit pricey but seems to be popular. The daily lunch special is 1,200 yen and includes pork belly char siu stir-fried vegetables, soup, salad, and meat miso tofu. You can upgrade to fried rice for an additional 600 yen. I had high expectations due to the good reviews, but unfortunately, I didn't have the same amazing experience as AKA-san. The fried rice was indeed very fluffy, but the taste was just average.

The top choices for lunch are tantanmen and fried rice. Today, I had the fried rice set. The fried rice here is outstandingly fluffy and delicious. The side of cold tofu topped with seasoned meat is also excellent. Although the price is a bit higher compared to other lunch options in the area, it is definitely worth it.

I decided to change my plans to explore challenge restaurants in Osaka instead. Although I had been in the mood for eel until yesterday, somehow I ended up craving Chinese food. So, I headed to a well-known restaurant in Omihejima, which is not easily accessible. Instead of taking the usual JR train, I purposely took a bus from Nodahanshin station. I arrived at the nearest bus stop, Omihejima Jutakumae, and walked about 2 minutes to Kaname-san. Upon arrival at 11:50, the first floor was almost full, but I managed to slide into the only available table quietly. Although I was tempted by the fried rice, I decided to prioritize the pork dish and ordered the C Lunch with sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour pork arrived promptly, with thinner meat and a heavier batter than regular sweet and sour pork, making it a bit overwhelming. It may have been a wrong choice on my part. Thank you for the meal.

Noda Hankyu Station on the Subway Sennichimae Line is a short walk from Ebisu Station on the JR Tozai Line, one stop away at Omiyajima Station, a 10-minute walk. I had the A lunch sweet and sour pork. It's delicious. Considering the distance and access, I may not go for lunch, but I'd like to go at night.

I visited the restaurant in the early afternoon on a regular day. I was seated at a table in the back and ordered the "B set lunch" (1300 yen). The hand towel had a nice fragrance, maybe jasmine. The complimentary tea was served in a pot, which was impressive. The B set lunch was tantanmen. I changed the rice to a small side dish. The tantanmen was authentic Chinese style, not like the one you would find at a ramen shop. The noodles were thin and had a good aroma. The small side dish was tofu with minced meat, which was a bit similar to tantanmen. It would have been even better if it was something like "yudare chicken". Overall, it was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

In the area around Omihashima, this is the most luxurious authentic Chinese restaurant. Everything you eat here is delicious. Among them, the tantanmen and fried rice for lunch are my top picks. Today, I chose the tantanmen. The thin curly noodles are mixed with a soup that has a strong flavor of Sichuan pepper and sesame. The spiciness is beyond imagination. It's addictive. Lunch comes with rice, but dipping the rice in the soup after finishing the noodles is also a good option. The fried rice is also incredibly delicious, with a perfect texture (no photo).

I took the day off from work to go to the hospital and on my way back, I got hungry. I decided to stop somewhere to eat on my way home. Even though it's in a neighboring area, I haven't had many opportunities to explore the Nishiyodogawa area. Among the places I've always wanted to try is a restaurant that I've heard is delicious in various places. The restaurant is called Chinese Cuisine Kaname. The nearest station is JR Tozai Line's Gobelsima Station, between Kashima and Gobejima. The restaurant is located along the Mitejima Street. The interior is elegant with tables on both the first and second floors. During lunchtime, they offer a variety of options from casual dishes to courses, including courses that require reservations. Since I dropped by spontaneously, I opted for a casual lunch set. I ordered the C lunch set which was Shrimp and Egg in Chili Sauce for 1,200 yen. It came with rice, salad, Chinese-style egg soup, tofu with minced meat miso topping, and pickled vegetables all on one tray. The salad had crunchy leafy greens with nuts on top. The minced meat miso on top of the tofu had a slightly spicy kick. The Chinese-style thickened egg soup was my favorite, with a surprisingly delicious broth. The main dish in the C lunch set changes between the first half and second half of the month. On this day, it was Shrimp and Egg in Chili Sauce. The shrimp was a decent size and had a nice texture. The chili sauce had a bit of heat when eaten alone but became milder when combined with the egg. Overall, it was a refined Chinese meal, and I would love to try the Sweet and Sour Pork in the second half of the month. I am also interested in trying their fried rice and dan dan noodles. While it's nice to have a casual lunch, Chinese cuisine is best enjoyed with a group to try a variety of dishes. Thank you for the delicious meal, Chinese Cuisine Kaname!

I visited for lunch on Saturday. We arrived as soon as they opened, but it didn't seem like it would fill up quickly. My companion was looking forward to sweet and sour pork, but it turns out it's only available in the latter half of the month, so we couldn't order it. We ordered the dan dan noodles from the B lunch set, the shrimp and egg in chili sauce from the C lunch set, and a side of sweet and sour pork. I think it's great that you can also order a la carte items! The dan dan noodles had plenty of minced meat and a nice nutty texture, and the soup was very delicious. The thin noodles were great with the ingredients. The black vinegar sweet and sour pork was also very tasty, and I tried some of my companion's chili sauce, so you can choose your favorite and eat well for 2,000 yen per person. There are also set courses at other restaurants, but I thought the satisfaction level here was high. I would like to visit again.

I went on a weekday for lunch without a reservation and it was fine. I had tantanmen. Tantanmen... the price was good. Even at 1300 yen, it was amazing. Rich. Rich with spices. This is incredible. The noodles were as thin as somen noodles. So they really soaked up the soup. But they still had a good bite, the perfect noodles. These noodles were meant to be enjoyed with the soup. Oh man. I was completely satisfied with the tantanmen.

A visit after several years, since the last time I came, I had completely forgotten what it was like, even though I remembered it was delicious. I ordered the monthly changing C lunch (black vinegar sweet and sour pork) and changed the rice to mini fried rice. The guest I was with ordered abalone and yuba ankake fried rice. Soon, the dishes were brought out. My mini fried rice was not so mini after all (^◇^;) It was the same amount as a regular restaurant's fried rice. The guest's fried rice was even more, about twice the size of mine (^◇^;) The ankake sauce was a bit light and delicious when I tried a little. Now, my sweet and sour pork was not really to my liking. To serve it quickly, the meat was thinly sliced, with a lot of batter to increase the volume. I was hoping for sweet and sour pork with meat chunks, so I was a bit disappointed. However, the portion was huge... I couldn't eat dinner tonight because I was so full (^◇^;) The fried rice was delicious, but I wish there was a mini-mini size available (laughs).

I visited the restaurant with my company members. We ordered the 8,000 yen course meal, and both the quantity and taste were excellent. The meal included appetizers, soup, Peking duck, sweet and sour pork, abalone, and many more dishes that I can't even remember. The finale was a deliciously creamy fried rice. I am completely satisfied!

This place is a representative Chinese restaurant in Nishiyodogawa Ward, which is so close to my neighborhood that I almost forgot to review it! I love their egg and shrimp in chili sauce, so I decided to try their sweet and sour pork at the perfect timing. I ordered the "C Lunch Sweet and Sour Pork with Black Vinegar Flavor" and it arrived in 7-8 minutes. The soup with beaten eggs has a warm and gentle flavor that I enjoyed. The sweet and sour pork is sliced and fried pork pieces, and even though they are thin, the portion is quite generous! The visual presentation with onions and bell peppers on top gets me excited. The thin coating enveloped in black vinegar sauce perfectly complements the flavor of the pork and black vinegar, making it a delightful experience. The well-cooked rice also goes well with the dish. The pickled vegetables served in between are also really delicious! The generous portion of sliced pork makes it possible to have seconds of rice, leaving me completely satisfied. Interestingly, they also recommended a course using shark fin in their evening menu, which is worth trying due to its good value and delicious taste. I will definitely be coming back for more!

This restaurant, which is one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants on Tabelog, is an elegant Chinese cuisine establishment that is especially popular among women. On this day when it was fully booked, out of the total 26 seats, there were only 3 male customers, including 2 at the table next to mine and myself, with around 20 other female customers. It's common for Cat Master to like popular restaurants among women, so it's not unusual, haha. I sat at a 2-person table on the second floor. In the 2nd-floor seats, two groups of girls seemed to be having a great time chatting and laughing. Looking at the menu, prices range from 1,200 yen. The sweet and sour pork I was looking forward to is only available after the 16th of each month, and luckily it was available on this day! So, could I please have the sweet and sour pork lunch with extra rice and black vinegar flavor? Thank you in advance. The black vinegar-flavored sweet and sour pork lunch for 1,200 yen including tax arrived with a teapot of Chinese tea, which made me happy. While warming up with the Chinese tea, I waited for the food to arrive. When the dishes were served, the platter looked lively and appetizing with a good portion size! The sweet and sour pork was generously filled with onions and bell peppers, and the thinly sliced pork hidden underneath was plentiful. The pork was thinly sliced and fried in a way that the black vinegar sauce clung to the batter. Eating the pork with onions in one bite, the flavor of the black vinegar sauce was incredibly delicious, especially when the sauce coated the batter generously. The thin slices of pork were not flimsy at all; on the contrary, the deliciousness of the batter and black vinegar stood out, making this sweet and sour pork delicious! The tofu with black vinegar and minced meat was like a Chinese-style chilled tofu, refreshing and delicious. The egg soup was very delicious, unlike typical Chinese soup. The mustard greens were also tasty. As expected, the deliciousness was overwhelming, and I was completely satisfied. Oh, and even though I was dining alone, the only available tables were for four people, so I initially sat at one of those. Shortly after I sat down, a group of three with a child arrived, so I told the staff that I would wait outside until a 2-person table was available. They reassured me that it was okay and shortly after, I was able to move to a table on the second floor. Towards the end of the meal, they kindly offered me a complimentary drink as a thank you for moving tables. It was a simple gesture, but I was grateful for their thoughtfulness, so I had some black tea. With such attentive service and delicious food, it's no wonder this restaurant is so popular. I arrived at the restaurant right at 11:30 AM, being the first customer. I ordered the B lunch set with tantanmen noodles and changed the rice to fried rice. The place quickly filled up on the first floor, so I was guided to the second floor. After a while, my food arrived. The tantanmen noodles looked quite dark, but they were delicious. The thin noodles, spicy soup, and minced meat warmed me up. The fried rice was also tasty and had a nice texture. The tantanmen noodles were unexpectedly spicy, so changing it to fried rice was a mistake. Overall, it was a delicious meal. I look forward to trying other items on the menu next time. I arrived a little before the opening time at 11:25 on Saturday. There were no other customers, but more people started coming in after the opening. It took about 10 minutes from ordering to serving. The sweet and sour pork was not bad, but the meat was thin, so it felt more like enjoying the batter than the meat itself. I would give it a rating of 3.5 stars just for the sweet and sour pork. The fried rice with thick sauce was delicious, simply put. It had the taste of high-quality Chinese cuisine. Despite being in a somewhat remote location, the interior of the restaurant was clean and trendy, which makes sense.

At around 1:00 on a regular day, the slightly upscale Chinese restaurant was full. It's located along a main street within walking distance from Gohaido Island Station. From the outside, it doesn't look very spacious, but there is also a second floor with a decent number of tables. All tables are spacious, but the space between them is a bit narrow. The lunch menu offers a few options, with set meals ranging from 1200 yen to courses starting at 3300 yen and going over 10000 yen. The C lunch set for 1200 yen was delicious and filling, with a rich flavor. The main dish of sweet and sour pork was particularly generous in portion. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

Today, I had a business trip to Osaka and Kobe for two nights and three days. For lunch on the first day, I visited a Chinese restaurant called "Kaname" on the way to the client's location. The restaurant is located on the left side of Mitejima Street when heading north from JR Tozai Line Mitejima Station. Inside, there are tables for two people, and three customers were already seated at two tables put together. I chose a table near the entrance. The lunch menu offers five options: daily special A lunch, tantanmen B lunch, bi-monthly special C lunch, fried rice lunch, and special fried rice lunch. I was torn between tantanmen and fried rice, but eventually decided on the C lunch with rice changed to fried rice. The meal included: - Cold tofu with doubanjiang - Salad - Egg drop soup - Sweet and sour pork with black vinegar flavor - Fried rice - Stir-fried vegetables The highlight was the sweet and sour pork with black vinegar flavor, which was different from the typical sweet and sour pork. It consisted of fried pork with a crispy coating, onions, snow peas, and bell peppers, all coated in a sweet and tangy black vinegar sauce. The fried rice was also excellent, with a light and fluffy texture and a simple yet delicious flavor. The meal was well-rounded with a tasty salad, soup, and flavorful cold tofu appetizer. The total cost for the C lunch with the fried rice upgrade was 1,800 yen. It was a high-quality and satisfying lunch experience. I look forward to trying their famous tantanmen on my next visit.

The tantanmen had a striking appearance with its dark broth. The soup was rich yet light in texture, with a complex and delicate flavor from various spices and miso. The spiciness was more of a tingle rather than a strong heat. The noodles were very thin and straight, which made it a bit challenging to slurp up with the spiciness. It was a unique combination but surprisingly delicious. You could choose a side dish or white rice (free refill), and I opted for the rice. After finishing the noodles, I poured the remaining soup over the rice and finished it all. Overall, it was a tantanmen experience like no other! The lunch menu will have a price increase starting from June, so it may not be an everyday option, but I would love to come back again. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

For those in the know, this authentic Chinese restaurant is selected as one of the top 100 restaurants every year. I went for a lunch with my sister at Kaname, which I love. We always seem to hit their regular holiday, but this time we were able to go after a long time. We arrived a little after 11:30 and it was the perfect timing - it quickly filled up. There were nearby office workers, solo female diners, and more. I ordered the C lunch set with black vinegar-flavored sweet and sour pork, while my sister had the daily A lunch set with shrimp and egg stir-fry in oyster sauce with mushroom. Both sets came with soup, side dishes, rice, and pickles. The side dish was a cold tofu dish. The sweet and sour pork was very rich and crispy, and went well with the rice - it was quite a generous portion for one person, so it was just right to share with my sister. It was really delicious, and even though the course meals at night are a bit pricey, the lunch sets are affordable, making it easy for locals to dine here. Next time, I want to come back for a full course dinner experience.
