I called around 6 PM on the same day to see if I could make a reservation, and they told me I could come at 9 PM, so I went! ♡ On Sunday at 9 PM, the restaurant was fully booked, with 90% of the customers being women. Nakgopsea is a spicy hotpot originating from Busan, South Korea, made with octopus, beef tripe, and shrimp simmered in a spicy miso sauce! _____ <Items Ordered> Rating: 8.7/10 - Nakgopsea (small spicy) for 2 people: ¥2,980 per order - Dried noodles: ¥300 per order - White rice: ¥350 per order - Bottle of beer (TERRA): ¥700 For the side dishes (banchan), we received kimchi, bean sprout namul, and Korean seaweed. We ordered one serving each of dry noodles and white rice and shared it between two people. _____ I placed the ingredients from the Nakgopsea on top of the white rice along with the Korean seaweed, and poured the flavorful broth from the hotpot over it! Eating it this way is truly delicious! It’s a recommended way to enjoy it❤️. The tripe was mostly the plump, tender type and had absolutely no smell! In Korea, when you order a hotpot, they often include side dishes (banchan), and I was very happy that they provided them here as well! The drink prices might be a bit on the higher side for what we usually pay in Japan, but I think it’s understandable. I travel to Korea often, and the Nakgopsea here is genuinely comparable to the authentic taste—it feels like I’m really dining in Korea! (laughs) I definitely want to visit again when I'm in Osaka. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered nakgopsae and bossam. The taste didn't feel authentic to the original Korean cuisine; it felt more like Korean food you would find in Japan. Well, that makes sense! It must be quite challenging to bring the ingredients all the way to Japan. I enjoyed the bokkeumbap as well.

In a stylish neighborhood, I found a small alley that led me to a restaurant specializing in Korean nakgopsae. The menu was limited, but the food was delicious. I thought that if they added an egg and cooked it a bit longer, it would have been perfect. Next time, I’d like to order some rice midway through the meal to mix it with the soup.

Nakkopse specialty store! It's a really beautiful restaurant! Nakkopse is a dish that might seem greasy, but everything - the tables, the floor, everything - is so stylish. It truly feels like you've come to Korea with the ambiance and the staff. We enjoyed some oysters with kimchi, raw beef tripe, and bossam while waiting for the Nakkopse to be prepared. This time, we added hormone, dry noodles, and octopus to the Nakkopse! Four of us found that three servings were more than enough. The octopus was tender and delicious, and our drinks kept flowing. They offer a variety of soju brands, so there's plenty to enjoy! This place is perfect for a girls' night out or a drinking party!

The Nishi Ward in Osaka is an area filled with charming shops. Wait, is there a dedicated Nakgopse restaurant here? Both the storefront and interior resemble a typical shop you'd find in Korea, blending seamlessly with the surrounding streets. The menu on the wall is entirely in Korean, but don’t worry, there’s also a Japanese menu available. Of course, I ordered the Nakgopse, and the staff kindly mixed it until it was ready. The dish includes a generous amount of Nak (octopus), Kop (small intestines), and Se (shrimp), along with plenty of what looks like Kujo green onions. You can adjust the spiciness to your liking. They had Korean beer, which was light and refreshing, bringing back memories of Korea. There were also several kinds of soju available. I added dry ramen to the dish, which soaked up all the rich flavors from the broth, making it delicious. I also ordered Bokkeumbap (fried rice), which was mixed with Korean seaweed and topped with cheese that was torched for a crispy finish. I learned they also offer Kongguksu, a refreshing cold noodle dish typically enjoyed in summer, so I had to order that for the finale. We managed to devour all of this, and I felt like I was about to burst. The Nakgopse, priced at ¥2980 for one serving, might be a bit pricey, but the Korean atmosphere was definitely worth it. The owner, a kind gentleman, really added to the experience. Even on a weekday night, the place was nearly full, so I’d recommend making a reservation.

Visited during the Obon period on a Friday. We used the restaurant for a girls' gathering with four people! It was my first time trying nakgopsae, and I was very satisfied with the abundance of seafood in it. The fried rice with cheese topping was also delicious, making for a great ending to the meal! The staff had a friendly and cheerful atmosphere, which was nice.

I love Korean food, so I revisited Jeongnatchi. This time, I went for dinner with friends I made in Osaka. The restaurant had a high percentage of female customers! On that day, there were also many people who had just come from a K-POP idol concert, making the place lively. I’ve been there a few times, and it's always crowded! The items we ordered were: Nakgopsae (spicy octopus and seafood stir-fried dish), Sennmari sashimi (cow's stomach lining), and Kongguksu. Nakgopsae is a hot pot that includes these three types: Nakchi (octopus), Gopchan (beef intestines), and Se (shrimp). The sweet and spicy broth is incredibly delicious as the fat from the intestines and the umami from the seafood mix with the sweetness of the vegetables. You can also get Bokkeumbap (fried rice) to finish off your meal! One of the standout points for me was that Kongguksu was available as a summer limited menu item! "Kong" means bean, and "Guksu" means noodle, but I’m not sure which type of bean is used (maybe soybeans?). Simply put, it's like cold noodles made from soy milk. The seasoning is minimal, so you can adjust the saltiness to your preference. This dish is also a summer specialty in Korea, and it makes me want to eat it whenever I see it. It's similar to the Japanese concept of "Hiyashi Chuka," which starts being served during summer. It’s rich yet refreshing and delicious! This was my first time seeing Kongguksu in a Korean restaurant in Japan, so I was very excited and absolutely had to order it (laughs). The fact that it’s not available all year round makes it even more tempting. Jeongnatchi is one of my favorite places that I visit regularly. Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant had a wonderfully simple charm. The atmosphere made me feel as if I had come to Korea, with stylish decor both inside and outside, including the restroom. The menu was straightforward, featuring Nakgopsae as the main dish, along with bossam and japchae. I chose medium spicy for the Nakgopsae, and it had just the right amount of heat. The ingredients were tender and delicious; the intestines were soft and tasty, and the octopus was very tender and absolutely delightful. I definitely want to visit again.

I love nakkoopse, but it’s hard to find a place that really deserves it, so I visited a specialized nakkoopse restaurant. Since it's a specialty shop, the menu has few options other than nakkoopse. The price is 2,980 yen per serving, and you need to order at least two servings. It’s not exactly cheap, but it includes hand-cut octopus, shrimp, and offal, so it seems reasonable. The spiciness is minimal, making it easy to eat, and it was delicious. You can also order extra offal or noodles, and the highlight was the cheese bokkeumbap at the end. The restaurant just opened last year, so it’s clean and really makes you feel like you’re in Korea.

This was my first time at NakkoPse, and I found it through Instagram and decided to make a reservation. The broth was based on octopus and offal. It tasted just as I had imagined it would, and it was delicious. At the end, I ordered rice with a cheese topping, which was also tasty. Thank you for the meal!

Nakopusse is a restaurant with a limited menu. The hot pot is the main dish, and there are only a few side dishes. I chose the spicy option, but it might not be spicy enough for those who really love heat. You can select either udon or dry noodles, but the portion is minimal, and there's an additional charge with no option to decline. The cost-performance isn't great. Even though Nakopusse specializes in octopus hot pot, there was hardly any octopus in it; I felt there was more shrimp. The rice served at the end was delicious, but I probably won't return.

I happened to pass by a beautiful restaurant and decided to try it out. It was my first time having Nakgopsal, and I could choose from three levels of spiciness. Since I'm not very good with spicy food, I chose mild. I sweated a little, but I was able to enjoy it. I also ordered Bossam, but the pieces were quite large and looked like something I'd never seen before—almost like char siu. Everything was delicious, but somehow it felt like something was missing…?? Thank you for the meal!

The sweet and spicy naengmyeon (cold noodles) and the delicious chijimi (Korean pancakes) are so addictive!! This makgeolli (Korean rice wine) is light and refreshing. This time, I tried the fried rice as a finale, and it was incredibly delicious! I'm starting to crave it again just thinking about it! Haha!

After our first stop, we were in the mood for some Chamisul, so we searched for a nearby spot and headed there! The interior was bright and café-like, making it quite appealing for women. Surprisingly, the food was genuinely substantial. First, we toasted with the Chamisul I craved. It's easy to drink, but surprisingly strong, so it can get you tipsy quickly… yikes! Next, we had Nakgopse. Even though it was our second place, we were still ready to eat, haha! You can choose the spiciness level and toppings. I think we ordered instant noodles? It was packed with plenty of ingredients like large octopus, shrimp, and offal, all simmering in a sweet and spicy sauce. Watching it bubble away was quite enjoyable! It was delicious—though I wouldn’t mind just having plain white rice with it, haha. For the finale, we enjoyed Bokkeumbap, which was fried rice with fish roe. It was so good! We spread it out thinly and created a little crispy layer, which was just perfect. In the end, even though we said we were full, the four of us still managed to eat quite a lot. It was a day filled with good food and drinks, and I had so much fun! Everything was delicious—thank you for the meal!

We had a gathering enjoying takoyaki hot pot while drinking soju. I was surprised to see that 99% of the people in the restaurant were women! Once we ordered the hot pot, we got some simple side dishes. Let the soju festival begin!!! Haha! The hot pot had noodles, so we added some instant noodles—it felt very Korean! We requested medium spiciness. While the pot was bubbling, we were attended to until it was ready to eat. The hot pot made by the wild men was really delicious! Since we had already eaten a bit beforehand, we ordered two servings for four people. It was satisfying with an assortment including octopus, mixed offals, tteok (rice cakes), and glass noodles. As it was a hot pot to enjoy as a snack, we had them make some fried rice for the finale, munching on the crispy bits while drinking! Korean cuisine is always best enjoyed with four people, wherever you are! It was such a fun and wonderful day! ♡

In September 2023, a new Korean restaurant called Jeongnachi opened in Kitahorie, where you can enjoy the famous Busan dish "Nakgopsae," featuring hand-grabbed octopus, horumon (offal), and shrimp. It was my first time trying it, and it was incredibly delicious with a rich flavor. You can choose the spiciness level from normal, medium, to high; for those who love spicy food, I recommend the high level. You can also add toppings like dry noodles (Sari-myeon), udon, or the hot soup noodles (Tangmyeon) used in chapchae, making for a satisfying portion size. The side dish, bossam, features thick yet tender pork that is exquisite. I also recommend the chapchae and the limited-quantity oyster kimchi. The menu may be small, but every dish is generous in size, ensuring a fulfilling dining experience. Be sure to enjoy this famous dish from Busan!

Looking for delicious nakgopsae, I visited the nakgopsae specialty shop, Johnnatch! I was curious after hearing about a restaurant dedicated to this dish. Nakgopsae is a hot pot dish that includes hand-picked octopus, offal, and shrimp! It’s so delicious when you eat it over plain rice. When it arrived, I was surprised at the generous portion! I ordered it with a medium spice level. The spice was just right, and when I ate it with rice, it balanced perfectly! The offal was incredibly tender and tasty, making me unable to stop eating the rice. This place just opened in September 2023, and the interior is clean and bright! The menu is limited to nakgopsae and a few side dishes, but that just highlights how delicious the nakgopsae is. Just a note that you need to request the dry noodles as a topping when you order, but it's definitely worth it for the flavor! I’d love to go back regularly. Thank you for the meal! Johnnatch has a Tabelog rating of 3.02 as of March 12, 2024. Located at 1-13-21 Kitahorie, Nishi-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. Closed on Mondays. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM. A Nakopse specialty shop has opened just a 5-minute walk from Yotsubashi Station! ❤️ The menu features: ▪️ Nakopse, one serving for 3,500 yen (includes long-leg octopus, small intestine, shrimp, and white rice) ▪️ Japchae for 980 yen ▪️ Bossam for 2,000 yen ▪️ Anjeongsal for 2,200 yen. They focus heavily on Nakopse. You can choose from three spice levels: mild, medium, and hot, but since it's authentically spicy, I'd recommend starting with the mild if you're not used to heat! ✨ The tender offal and shrimp are incredibly delicious! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶❤️ I had the mild spice, and it was just right with rice; I could keep enjoying it forever! ^_^ The Japchae was also amazing and is a big recommendation! It's hard to find really tasty Japchae at restaurants, so this place is a definite must-try! The flavor is delicious!! The pork here is the lean type, so make sure to enjoy it while it's warm ❤️ It’s light, and just eating it feels like it might help you lose weight! Haha. They also have a great selection of Korean drinks and alcohol, including both red and white Makgeolli from Fukjun Tugi! ❤️ If you're a fan of authentic Korean flavors, you have to check this place out!

It's located in a surprising place! Authentic Korean cuisine in Horie! They almost exclusively serve Nakkoopse, which is a stir-fried dish with octopus and other ingredients, haha. They really focus on Nakkoopse! The prices were a bit on the higher side, but I was satisfied because the taste was delicious!
