Since November 2020! Satchez Curry. Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Today, I was in the mood for curry after a long time. It's been about a year and a half. Satchez Curry. I felt like having some delicious keema. Arrival at 12:06. Some empty seats available. Ordered. Curry arrived at 12:13. 3 types of curry for 1200 yen, extra large rice for 100 yen, chili achaar for 150 yen, extra spiciness for free, and egg achaar for 100 yen. Total 1550 yen. The three curries were the classic keema curry, mixed mushroom, and spinach chicken. The classic keema curry is still delicious. I like the moderate spiciness and the satisfying volume. The spinach chicken curry is also delicious. The texture of brown rice is good, and I'm very satisfied with lunch. Next time, I might try two types of curry and extra large roux. Thank you for the meal. #SatchezCurry #Umeda

The classic Keema, Daikon Tomato Coconut, and Pork Curry combo is a must-try. Topped with chicken gizzards and egg achaar, it's a delicious mix. The Keema is slightly spicy, while the refreshing curry with daikon and coconut is surprisingly good. The well-cooked pork in the curry is excellent. I will definitely come back again!

Around noon on Saturday, the first customer was a woman who started slowly. She ordered a curry set with three types of curry, which were carefully made. Each curry was delicious, especially the unique daikon and tomato coconut curry. The dishes were well-prepared and had a wonderful spicy flavor.

Indian cuisine to be eaten with rice. The restaurant is small, with one person handling everything from cooking to serving. Self-return of dishes. No tandoor, so it's rice instead of naan. Instead, they have a wide variety of achaar. It looks like something Nepalese people would eat. The pickles are quite sour, not the sweet kind for Japanese people. In addition to the menu, there are daily options on a board. It's interesting, like egg achaar. The curry is free to add spiciness, but even the normal one is quite spicy. You start sweating later on. The prices are quite high. With just one person working, it's understandable that it's not cheap.

Around 1 pm on a weekday, the restaurant had a few customers and I was able to sit without being seated next to anyone. They were running low on some options, so I ordered the Keema and the special non-vegetarian dish of the week (mackerel). The mackerel portion seemed a bit small, but it had a good balance of saltiness and went well with the rice. The price seemed a bit high compared to the portion size, possibly due to the quality of ingredients, but the taste was excellent.

I arrived at the restaurant around 12 o'clock. After waiting outside for about 5 minutes, I entered. I ordered a combination of 3 types of curry and a lassi, which cost around 1600 yen. I liked the keema, spinach, and shrimp curry. I especially enjoyed the shrimp curry with coconut. I thought it wasn't spicy at first, but it got spicier as I continued eating.

I stopped by because I had some errands nearby. I was lucky to find this delicious curry shop and decided to give it a try. The interior of the shop was filled with couples and groups of girls, showing that it's a popular place. The curry was just the right amount of spicy and very tasty. They had a good variety of options to choose from, which was nice. It's been a while since I had such delicious curry. I would definitely want to visit this curry shop again if I'm in the area!

Second visit on May 21st. This time, I tried the monthly special vegetable plate. They also had a keema dish for those who wanted meat. I arrived around 1 pm and unfortunately, the egg achaar was sold out just before me. By 2 pm, they had also run out of curry, so it's better to come early. The curry included a spicy coconut curry with eggplant and a sweet dal curry, which paired well with the basmati rice. The spiciness was just right, enough to make you sweat a little. Even though there were no meat ingredients, the vegetables were well seasoned and very delicious.

On holiday 1305 No waiting Today's Veg Plate (¥1,200) Brown rice instead Egg Achar (¥100) Green chili Achar (¥100) Raisin Achar (¥50) The holiday opens at 12 o'clock. I arrived around 1 o'clock, and as soon as I sat down, it was full. It doesn't seem like there will be a long line, but it's bustling. Today is a special menu offering day once a month, so I had the Veg Plate for the first time. There is no choice in today's menu. Only one type is available. You can choose between basmati rice or brown rice. If you don't say anything, it will be basmati rice. I usually prefer Japanese rice, so I changed it to brown rice. There are three types of Achar. I ordered all of them, but I realized after ordering that I'm not a big fan of raisins. It was too late to change. Now, about the Veg Plate, since it's all veggies, it can't be helped, but compared to the three-item platter I had last time, it was clearly lacking in punch. The spiciness was also not as strong as the three-item platter, and I really feel like curry should have meat in it. It may be common in India, but as someone who usually only eats Japanese-style curry, I found it a bit challenging, and I finished eating feeling unsatisfied. I'll come back on a day when they have the three-item platter.

There was a small curry restaurant near Senba Park with only one customer around 12 o'clock on a weekday. The storefront was a bit hard to see inside, giving a somewhat nervous feeling, but once inside, a friendly female staff member guided me. I ordered the recommended 3-item platter for first-time visitors. The lineup included a spicy keema, a not-so-spicy mackerel, and a vegetable-heavy option. The keema was the main dish in terms of portion size, and it was the most delicious among the three. However, personally, I wasn't particularly impressed. The mackerel had a few bones that bothered me. I thought it would be nice if it was more flaky like canned mackerel. If I were to order again, I would choose the keema.

You can enjoy authentic spicy curry at a reasonable price. The location is a bit hard to find, but it has a hidden gem vibe that is worth experiencing. The taste is also very delicious. If you love curry, I highly recommend visiting this place at least once.

I visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch on the weekend. The interior is small and slightly dimly lit. It has the typical feel of a spice curry restaurant. The menu changes weekly, and during my visit, the vegetable curry was eggplant, the non-vegetarian curry was squid, and the classic keema curry was available. As it was my first visit, I opted for the "3 kinds of curry" set which costs 1,200 yen. Many people around me also ordered the same set. In conclusion, the food was delicious, but it didn't leave a strong impression that I must come back to this restaurant. Of course, there are probably many fans of this place, and everyone's taste in food is different, so I recommend giving it a try yourself.

Visited around noon on the weekend. The interior of the shop was small with a counter. It seemed like the owner was running the place alone. I ordered the "3 kinds of curry" since it was my first time. The Achar looked delicious too, but I didn't know what it was, so I didn't order it this time. After a short wait, the curry was brought to me. It looked like authentic Indian curry. When I tried it, both the curry and rice were quite easy to eat. It was almost too easy, maybe this is the real taste of India. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Keema and Vegetable curry, 2 types, Saturday at 12:15 pm. There were 4 customers ahead (2 groups), but we were seated smoothly, though a bit close to other tables. The blackboard listed eggplant for the veg option this week, and squid and other seafood for the non-veg option. I don't like curry, so I ordered the 2 types together (A). It was served in about 10 minutes with paprika achar and pumpkin as sides. The sauces were tasted separately, and the paprika was delicious, while the pumpkin was just pumpkin. The Keema was spicy with plenty of meat, and a strong taste of cloves. The vegetable curry was light and tangy. Mixing them together added depth to the flavors. The rice had a mix of brown rice, giving it a Japanese rice feel. I thought it was a bit pricey at 1000 yen, but the portion was generous, so I decided not to go to another curry place for seconds. I might come back if it was closer, but the location is a bit inconvenient.

Spice curry battleground, Satchez Curry in Nakazaki-cho! I visited the restaurant around 2 pm on a weekday, which is a bit late for lunch, so I had the place all to myself, feeling luxurious. Since it was my first time at the restaurant, I wanted to try as many curries as possible, so I ordered a set of 3 with a small portion of rice. Unfortunately, the egg achar that I wanted to add was sold out. The curries arrived in less than 10 minutes! Here are the curries I tried: - Keema Curry: Delicious! The ginger added a nice accent. It had eggplant, bell pepper, and enoki mushrooms, which made it feel like a summer vegetable curry. - Weekly Chicken Curry: It had chunks of chicken, which were tasty without any strange smell. The acidity was the strongest in this curry, but still milder compared to typical acidic curries. - Weekly Chickpea Curry: A vegetarian curry with tomatoes, but not too sour. It was the sweetest curry I tried this time, with a strong texture from the chickpeas. I also had two side dishes (cabbage and enoki mushrooms). The cabbage side dish was incredibly delicious, with a sweet buttery flavor that was new to me. The enoki mushroom spice achar was also tasty. Towards the end, I mixed all the curry and rice together, creating a complex blend of flavors that was delicious. Even with a small portion of rice, I felt quite full. I would say my stomach was about 90% full. Ordering everything in small portions gives you a 100 yen discount. I prefer more curry, so ordering a small portion of rice and regular curry was the right choice for me. Since the achar was delicious, I'll go for a large portion next time. And I'll make sure to arrive early for the egg. Osaka's curries are all so delicious, it's a tough choice!

I visited "Satchez Curry" and tried their classic Keema curry and the weekly special Chickpea curry. The Keema curry here is really delicious, with a perfect balance of spices, sweetness, and richness. It goes really well with brown rice. The Chickpea curry had a nice texture and was cooked just right. Overall, the flavors were consistent and satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I visited Satchez Curry in Nakazaki-cho for the first time. The address is 14-23 Kamiyama-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, located about a 5-minute walk from Nakazaki Station on the Osaka Metro. They have a curry vending machine with vacuum-packed curry packs, perfect for souvenirs. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Fridays, and the opening hours are as follows: Lunch [Tue-Thu] 11:30-15:00 (L.O), [Sat-Sun/Holidays] 12:00-15:00 (L.O), Dinner [Tue-Thu/Sat-Sun/Holidays] 18:00-21:00 (L.O). There was no wait outside when I arrived around 11:30. After using the disinfectant spray at the entrance, I got permission to take photos and sat at the counter seat in the back. Satchez Curry offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries that change weekly, with the Keema Curry being a popular choice. This week's non-vegetarian option was Katsuo (bonito fish), which I saw on Instagram and decided to try. I ordered the 3-curry plate, with a large serving of rice, side dishes, and egg achar. Despite being a one-man operation, the wait was pleasant with a nice aroma and manga to read. After a short wait, my meal arrived. The 3-curry plate included Keema Curry, Katsuo Curry, and a vegetable curry, served with rice and side dishes. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, with each curry offering a unique taste. The Katsuo Curry was not overly fishy, thanks to the whole spices used. The Keema Curry had a kick of spice and was delicious with the mixed minced meat and vegetables. The rice and side dishes complemented the curries perfectly. I mixed everything together halfway through the meal, creating a delightful mix of flavors. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and thanked the owner before leaving. It was a great dining experience, and I look forward to returning.

I went to a Japanese curry restaurant called "Satchez Curry" near Osaka Station and Nakazakicho Station, which is based on Indian home cooking. I tried the Keema curry. I lined up 40 minutes before opening and was mistaken for a suspicious person by a woman from the restaurant who asked if I needed anything. The atmosphere inside the restaurant had a nice unique Asian feel. I ordered the 3-item set for 1,200 yen, which included Keema curry, eggplant curry, mutton Keema Aloo curry, rice, spiced broccoli, and achar. The Keema curry was delicious with minced meat and finely chopped vegetables cooked slowly with a punch of spices. The eggplant curry brought out the sweetness of the eggplant. The mutton Keema Aloo curry was made with lamb meat and had potatoes in it. It had a bit of a unique taste but was delicious. The spiciness was just right, even for someone like me who doesn't like very spicy food. Overall, it was a great meal and I recommend it. I will definitely go back again.

I visited the famous Satchez Curry, a restaurant run by a woman single-handedly. It seems that her visits to India influenced the creation of this wonderful curry restaurant. I arrived 5 minutes before the opening time of 11:30 am on a weekday and was the first in line. Shortly after, one more person lined up behind me. Throughout my meal, there was only one more customer. Weekday early hours are a good time to visit. I ordered the 3-curry plate for 1200 yen, with extra spiciness for free and chili pickle for 150 yen as options. While some may say that curry with a feminine touch is good, Satchez Curry offers a bold and authentic spiced curry. The added spiciness and chili pickle made it quite stimulating and delicious. The combination of spices and brown rice was excellent. The amount of brown rice in the 3-curry plate was a bit small, so opting for a larger portion would have been better. Truly a top-notch restaurant, a worthy member of the Curry AWRERD Hall of Fame. I helped clean up the plate and left the restaurant. It was a delicious meal. Thank you!

Basic Keema Curry I chose the basic keema curry. It has a slightly spicy kick, but it's easy to eat. Surprisingly, the brown rice is quite filling. They also offer takeout. Make sure to check the store's closing days before visiting. Thank you for the meal.

The curry had a good balance of spices and was light, making it perfect for lunch. The female owner was managing the place by herself and seemed a bit busy, but she was polite and likable. Her attentive personality seemed to reflect in the curry as well! Thank you for the meal!
