I used this place for the first time through a friend's recommendation. The restaurant is tucked away in an alley, making it a bit hard to find, but the atmosphere and music are great. The menu features a recommended dish, the grilled chicken and green onion skewers, which were delicious. I also tried the duck with green onion pesto, something I've never had at other restaurants before, and it was really tasty. The homemade cardamom chuhai had a very strong cardamom flavor and was also delicious.

I was able to get a table at a small but very popular restaurant that was almost fully packed. It seems they also have a second floor, so if you make a reservation, you might be able to go with a group. Since there was another reservation after mine, I used my time there for a quick drink. I ordered a solo platter, and it was incredibly cheap! It had four different items, and the portion was quite substantial—such a great deal! All four dishes were delicious! I saw other tables ordering different dishes, and I wanted to try those as well, but I had to move on due to time constraints. I promised myself to come back for a revisit. The owner and the regular customers were really friendly, making it a comfortable place for solo diners. It's already quite popular, but I have a feeling it will become even more so, and soon it might be hard to get in!

A new stand called "Ruiten" has opened in a back alley of Temma. The owner previously worked at Kuran and has now opened their own restaurant. It offers creative Italian cuisine with an Asian twist, and it's incredibly delicious. There’s also a second floor where you can make reservations, so the possibilities for how to enjoy it are endless. Next time, I want to try the pasta. Congratulations on your opening! I will definitely be back!

Recently, new stores have been opening on the side of Naniwa-cho following the independent stand "Tiger Lily" in Umeda from the Kurama project. One of these hidden standing bars is "Stand Ruten". Although the dishes are genre-less, they offer high-quality items! You can enjoy drinks such as domestically produced wines and draft beer from Sapporo's Sorachi beer, which shows their commitment to quality. Here’s what I ordered: ✨✨〼 Fried Papiot with Shrimp and Basil - 550 yen 〼 Fried Dried Squid with Aioli Sauce - 500 yen 〼 Grilled Saba and Mascarpone Namero - 600 yen Red Star - 600 yen, Glass of Wine - starts from 500 yen. - Grilled Saba and Mascarpone Namero: It doesn’t look like traditional namero, but the flavor is surprisingly deep! I never thought grilled saba and mascarpone would pair so well. It’s definitely a taste that makes you want to drink wine. - Fried Papiot with Shrimp and Basil: At first, I wondered what it was, but the crispy coating and the plumpness of the shrimp make it a delight to eat. The homemade American sauce pairs perfectly since both are seafood! - Fried Dried Squid: Simple but elevated with the aioli sauce, giving it a European twist. Each dish is crafted with care, keeping boredom at bay. The owner is very friendly, making it a great spot to visit alone. Tenma is really seeing an increase in diverse restaurants lately! I’ll definitely visit again! ✨✨

On the west side of Tenjinbashi-suji, there are numerous narrow back alleys that run east to west. In one of these corners, a new standing bar recently opened. Before its opening, I learned about it from a neighboring wine bar, and I visited a few days later. The exterior and interior are renovated from an old house typical of the Naniwa-cho alleyways. The establishment is a two-story building, but the first floor is about 4 tatami mats in size, quite small. Despite the limited space, the interior has been very cleverly arranged, including the kitchen area. On this day, I enjoyed the following: ▼----- - Grilled mackerel with mascarpone tartar - Celery pickled in tomato koji ----- I had a glass of white wine for my first drink and then a cardamom shochu (soda mixed) for my second, totaling 1950 yen. The grilled mackerel with mascarpone tartar had a nice balance of the mackerel's saltiness and the cheese's acidity and sweetness. It definitely had the rich, sticky texture typical of tartar. Eating it with crackers helped to balance the intensity of the tartar, transforming it into a delightful experience. Then, taking a sip of the crisp Italian white wine complemented it beautifully. As for the celery pickled in tomato koji, the crunchy texture and slight bitterness were again quite pleasant, though a bit salty. This dish paired well with the refreshing cardamom shochu. I learned that the owner previously worked at "Stand Tiger Lily" and has honed their skills in various places. The food is genre-free, and they have a wide selection of drinks. The bar serves about three types of red and white wine by the glass, but there is also a good variety of bottled wine available, making it a great spot for enjoying wine alongside standing bar fare. Since it's nearby, I look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you for the meal! ******************************** Solo Female Diner Score: ♥♥♥♥♥ Would Visit Again: ★★★★★ ******************************** Your "follows," "likes," and "saving the shop" encourage me greatly. I appreciate your continued support! Thank you very much for reading until the end. @yuki.maple1125 @maple_tenma_gourmet

In a gourmet hotspot, an appealing standing drink establishment has emerged, featuring "alleyway × standing drinks × genre-less" offerings (>ω<). The owner is from the highly popular standing bar "Stand Tiger Lily" in Umeda. The menu doesn’t just include typical standing bar dishes; it’s filled with unique items that surprise and excite diners. Here’s what I ordered: ■ "Negima" with flowing taste (850 yen) ■ Grilled mackerel and mascarpone namero (600 yen) ■ Dewar's highball (450 yen). The recommended "Negima" is a dish consisting of duck confit topped with chopped green onions, served with a green onion sauce. Since the duck is sandwiched with green onions, it truly deserves the name "Negima." The grilled mackerel and mascarpone namero is a Western-style namero that combines the flavor of mackerel with the richness of mascarpone, enjoyed together with crackers. Since this was my fourth stop on a bar-hopping adventure in Tenma, I kept it light this time. The dishes ordered by the customers next to me also looked delicious, so I’ll definitely plan to enjoy them more leisurely next time!

There's a new place down a narrow street between the girls' bar called BUNNY, which features bunny girls, and a beauty salon along the main road. I was surprised to see so many new shops popping up in this area! Several stores in the back alley share the same address, marked by signs showing yellow fingers in a blue flowing pose. The first floor is a standing bar, while the second floor has table seating. I discovered this place on Instagram before it opened and had been really curious about it! I tried the shrimp and basil papillote fry, refreshing tea-pork with a boiled egg, and garlic chive tamagoyaki. The owner is really friendly and good-looking, and all the dishes were delicious! He apparently worked at that Kurama project for a little while. I thought there would be a lot of young people, but when I went, it wasn't like that at all; everyone in the shop seemed to get along really well. I had such a great time! By the way, the name of the shop and its artwork might look religious, but apparently, it has nothing to do with religion. It was such a wonderful place! I’ll definitely go back again! ------◇Instagram @ako.tabetamono https://www.instagram.com/ako.tabetamono/
