On Thursday at 12:30, I went to "Chuka-sai OIL" in Fukushima. It had been a while since my last visit. There was a line of 12 people. Some even had carry-on bags, so they must have come from other prefectures. While waiting in line, I ordered the "Mapo Tofu Lunch (1,200 yen)" as "OIL" is known for its Mapo Tofu. I was tempted by the "Tenshinhan Lunch" as well, but since it had been a while, I went with the Mapo Tofu. After waiting for 25 minutes, I entered the restaurant. I was prepared to wait for an hour, so it was a pleasant surprise that it didn't take that long. The lunch came with side dishes, soup, and rice. I took a bite of the Mapo Tofu. Delicious! The perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness. There was plenty of minced meat, and the coarsely ground texture allowed the flavors to seep in beautifully. The tofu was firm tofu, which I personally prefer for Mapo Tofu over silken tofu. I was happy about that. Rice was free for seconds, and of course, I had more. They sell their own "Sichuan Chili Oil" for 800 yen for 100ml, so you can enjoy this rich chili oil at home. As I finished eating and stepped outside, there were nearly 20 people waiting in line. Next time, I might try the "Tenshinhan Lunch." Thank you for the meal.

The concept of "cost performance" to me is the attitude of the restaurant owner engaging with the food. When it comes to this Chinese restaurant, without a doubt, the key to their authentic Chinese cuisine lies in the way they prepare and serve the aromatic ingredients. With this price range, the mapo tofu made with genuine spices replicates the taste of high-end Chinese restaurants. Lunchtime always has long lines, so I definitely want to visit for dinner next time. Delicious food always has a reason behind it.

I wasn't a big fan of mapo tofu, but this one had plenty of ground meat, was juicy, had just the right amount of spiciness for its color, and was packed full of umami flavor. It was so delicious that I was surprised! This might be the first time I've ever had seconds with mapo tofu. The fact that rice refills are free is also a nice touch. I lined up 30 minutes before opening and just made it in time for the first round. I recommend getting there early. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant specializes in spicy chili oil dishes and is said to have long lines even before opening for lunch, with queues still present at 2 pm. Although the reservation sign stated that the restaurant was fully booked, I was lucky to get a table when some customers were leaving. Everything on the menu looked delicious, but the must-have dish was the mapo tofu made with plenty of chili oil. I also enjoyed the Taiwanese century egg with shrimp, sweetened walnut with mayonnaise, and the seasonal menu item of salmon and lettuce fried rice. Everything was delicious and made me happy, especially the mapo tofu which I love. It was spicy, but the sweetness and umami flavor spread in your mouth when you take a bite, followed by a spicy kick. The shrimp was firm and sweet, paired perfectly with the sweetened walnuts and mayonnaise. I wanted to try more dishes, but I was already full. I definitely want to come back again!

The mapo tofu was delicious! The spiciness was mild at first, but it gradually became stronger. By the end of the meal, I was sweating. The restaurant was full as soon as it opened at 11:30 on a weekday. By noon, there were about 20 people waiting in line.

Today it was still hot at 33 degrees, but I managed to adjust my work schedule well, so I visited the Chinese restaurant "Oilsan". At 11:30, the first round of customers had already entered, and I was the 12th person waiting outside. While waiting, I ordered the Sichuan mapo tofu lunch set for 1200 yen. I was seated in the restaurant at 12:10, and the food was served in about 2 minutes. As always, it was delicious. I ended up having a second helping of rice. When I left the restaurant at 12:30, there were about 20 people waiting in line. I was satisfied once again today. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by on my way back from a business trip to Osaka after a long time. The dish had a complex flavor with various spices mixed in, and it was spicy and delicious. Mapo tofu is a sinful dish that makes you want both beer and white rice. [Access] Located between Osaka Station and Fukushima Station. [Good Points] Spicy and delicious mapo tofu.

I visited on Saturday at noon. I arrived around 12 o'clock, but there were more than 10 groups waiting in line. Sichuan mapo tofu lunch for 1200 yen. The mountain pepper is not very strong, but there is a slight numbness. The minced meat is large and satisfying to eat. The flavor is strong, so it goes well with rice. By the way, you can have unlimited rice refills. Thank you for the meal ☺️

I went to "Chuuka-sai Oil" located a 3-minute walk from Osaka Fukushima Station. It's a popular restaurant known for its long lines during lunchtime, especially for their delicious mapo tofu. I mustered up my courage and headed to the restaurant before opening, but there was already a line formed. The mapo tofu, with plenty of chili oil and Sichuan pepper, was amazing. The perfect balance of spiciness and sweetness made it incredibly tasty. It was filled with my favorite tofu and minced meat, and I couldn't stop myself from getting seconds. It was the best mapo tofu I've ever had. This restaurant is definitely worth waiting in line for, especially for mapo tofu lovers. I would love to visit this place again if I have the chance!

An unrivaled mapo tofu with a spicy kick can be found at the Chinese restaurant OIL in the heart of Osaka city! Located in a quiet area with many residential homes in the Fukushima district, this restaurant is run by a husband and wife team, offering high-quality dishes in a cozy setting. While their lunch menu is popular, this place is perfect for enjoying various dishes while sipping on some drinks. Some of their signature dishes include Sichuan-style mapo tofu, Chinese-style sashimi salad, chili sauce simmered shrimp, chicken and scallop shumai, and mixed seafood fried rice. The Sichuan-style mapo tofu is a must-try, with its fragrant spices and rich flavors that set it apart from others. It's definitely the number one dish in my mapo tofu ranking. The prices are reasonable and fair. Last order is around 8:30 pm, so it's best to arrive early. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins may be accepted if you're lucky. - Restaurant Name: Chinese Cuisine OIL - Address: Villa Season 102, 6-19-12 Fukushima, Fukushima-ku, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture - Access: 8-minute walk from Fukushima Station, 20-minute walk from Osaka Station - Business Hours: 11:30-14:30 for lunch, 18:00-22:00 for dinner - Closed on Sundays - Payment: Cash only, no credit cards or electronic money - Seating Capacity: 17 seats - Private Room Available - No Smoking - No Parking #ChineseCuisineOIL #OsakaChineseRestaurant #ChineseRestaurant #Top100ChineseRestaurants #Top100Restaurants #WESTTop100Restaurants #FukushimaGourmet #FukushimaDinner #OsakaGourmet #OsakaDinner #UmedaGourmet #UmedaDinner #MapoTofu #SichuanMapoTofu #ChiliShrimp #MixedSeafoodFriedRice #Shumai

Visited around 1:30 in the afternoon, there was a line of 12 people in front of the store... The anticipation was high as the line was already mentioned in the reviews on Tabelog, and the mid-August heat didn't bother me at all. While waiting, I decided to order the Sichuan-style mapo tofu lunch to enjoy the famous spicy oil. I replenished my sweat with a cold beer while waiting. After about 30 minutes, I entered the restaurant. Around 2:00 in the afternoon, a sign saying "lunch sold out" was put up, but those who were already in line were still able to place their orders. The cool interior of the restaurant and a cold beer at the counter provided some relief. The mapo tofu was served promptly, with a unique aroma of spicy oil and a rich flavor of minced meat. Despite the numbing sensation, the spiciness was relatively mild. The refreshing flavor lingering in the mouth made it hard to wash it down with beer. It was a delicious meal.

Osaka・Fukushima【#ChineseCuisineoil】☑️Mapo Tofu Lunch ¥1200・2023.08.17 ------------------------------ I caught the "I want to eat Mapo Tofu" bug, so I chose the reliable Mapo Tofu at oil. The large portion was a bit pricey, but the regular size was satisfying enough. You can also get free refills of rice. The original spicy Mapo Tofu with plenty of chili oil is deliciously spicy and flavorful. No matter how many times I eat it, it always impresses me. Today's side dish was also unusual, with a dish like stir-fried star clam and egg, which I really enjoyed. Thank you for the meal. ▫️Chinese Cuisine oil ▫️10 minutes walk from JR Fukushima Station ▫️11:30-14:30 17:30-22:00 (Closed on Sundays) ------------------------------ #OsakaGourmet #ChineseFood #MapoTofu #Foodstagram #Foodie #GourmetStagram #FoodCrawl

There is a Chinese restaurant in Osaka, Fukushima Ward, where the mapo tofu is so delicious that there is always a line. Due to the intense heat, there were fewer people waiting in line than before. The mapo tofu with plenty of chili oil has just the right amount of spiciness and numbing sensation that is truly addictive. The rice goes perfectly with the mapo tofu, and you just can't stop eating. When your mouth feels numb, eating the spicy salad resets your taste buds. Even with the long wait, you'll still want to eat this incredibly delicious mapo tofu.

The lunch line was really long, so I couldn't go! I had been wanting to try it once, so I visited for dinner! I went on a Friday night without a reservation, but luckily there was one table available! Everyone, make a reservation! Everything was delicious!! Especially the fried rice and mapo tofu were exceptional. The mapo tofu wasn't too spicy, had a lot of flavor, and had a taste that becomes addictive. The mapo tofu in the same size as the lunch portion costs 1600 yen for dinner, so in terms of value, lunch is better! But the fried rice is also amazing, so if you eat them together, go for dinner!

I once gave up due to a line estimated to be over 1 hour long, but decided to try again on a weekday after 2 PM, thinking it might be better. Still, there were about 6 people in line, and I waited for about 20 minutes under the scorching sun. I was surprised by the amount of bright red oil. The tingling sensation was very strong, more so than the spiciness of the chili peppers, and my tongue was tingling so much that I had to balance it out with the soup or have extra white rice to finish it. I had to ask for multiple refills of tea. I think it's a taste that will appeal to those who get hooked on it. My body, worn out by the scorching heat and the long line every day, felt a strong punch, and I thought that this greasy and spicy taste might be better suited for autumn and winter.

Thank you for always reading. If you liked it, I would be happy if you could bookmark the restaurant by clicking the "Save Shop" button. I wanted to eat delicious mapo tofu, so I visited the Chinese cuisine restaurant called "Chuka Sai Oil" for the first time. The address of Chuka Sai Oil is Villa Season 102, 6-19-12 Fukushima, Fukushima-ku, Osaka City, an 8-minute walk from JR Loop Line "Fukushima" Station. Opened in 2010! Selected as one of the top 100 Chinese cuisine restaurants in the west by Tabelog in 2023. I arrived at the restaurant a little after 12 o'clock. Closed on Sundays. Business hours for lunch are from 11:30 to 14:30, and for dinner from 18:00 to 22:00 (last order at 20:30). There were 15 people waiting outside! It's a popular restaurant where you can see the line even from a distance. For lunch, they offer three options: Szechuan mapo tofu, Tianjin rice, and five-ingredient fried rice. They also sell Szechuan chili oil for takeout. They offer a large serving of Szechuan mapo tofu. While waiting in line, the staff comes to take the number of people and orders, so I said, "One Szechuan mapo tofu lunch for my husband, please." The Szechuan mapo tofu lunch costs 1,200 yen. When my turn came, I entered the restaurant! I got permission from the staff to take photos and sat at the counter. On the counter, there are bottled seasonings and dried foods, giving the restaurant a unique Chinese atmosphere. I was served chilled jasmine tea! The staff kindly refilled it when it ran out. After a short wait, the meal arrived. The tray included Szechuan mapo tofu, rice, egg soup, and spaghetti salad. The Szechuan mapo tofu smelled delicious! Let's eat ~ Starting with the egg soup before my tongue goes numb! The thick egg soup was rich and delicious. I took a bite of the Szechuan mapo tofu! First, the sweetness! The unique chili oil brings out the sweetness first! Then comes the spiciness and numbness! The chili oil and Sichuan pepper have distinct characteristics, and the minced meat and tofu are delicious! Sweet! Spicy! Numbing! The unique deliciousness of mapo tofu!!! The spaghetti salad, of course, was not spicy or numbing, but rather orthodox! It nicely reset my taste buds. With rice! The rice goes really well with it! The abundance of chili oil is the key! I had seconds of rice, making sure to finish all the chili oil! It was an irresistible happiness! Enjoying the refined spiciness and numbness, alternating between rice and the dish, I finished the meal deliciously! After satisfying my stomach and settling the bill, I thanked the staff and left Chuka Sai Oil. Husband, thank you for the meal! It was delicious! I will come again! Thank you very much for reading until the end. I hope this gourmet information can be somewhat helpful to everyone. A popular Chinese restaurant in Fukushima, known for its long lunchtime queues. The restaurant has only two tables and a counter. The aroma of Sichuan pepper and spicy flavors fill the air. The menu is simple and includes dishes like Chinese-style salad with isaki fish, fragrant Hong Kong-style char siu, spicy chili sauce simmered shrimp, Cantonese-style spring rolls, and the famous Sichuan mapo tofu with a perfect balance of flavor, spiciness, and numbing sensation. The five-flavor fried rice is also delicious. Overall, a satisfying meal.

[Order] Sichuan-style saliva chicken Zasai pickles with sesame oil Mapo tofu Shrimp in chili sauce Shumai with chicken and scallop Stir-fried green vegetables with garlic and ginger Hong Kong-style char siu Mapo tofu (additional) Fried rice with assorted ingredients [Impression] I visited "Chinese Cuisine Oil" with my colleagues who love food. The highly praised mapo tofu had a distinctive flavor of chili oil and Sichuan pepper, with chunks of meat and tofu that were so delicious that I couldn't stop eating and ended up drinking it all. The Hong Kong-style char siu had a unique aroma and the savory taste of the meat spread in my mouth. The stir-fried green vegetables with garlic and ginger had seasoning that suited my taste, and I was impressed by how delicious water spinach could be. The shrimp in chili sauce had a perfect blend of spicy chili sauce that made me feel like I could eat endless bowls of rice. The shumai with chicken and scallop had a large, bouncy texture and a hint of ginger fragrance that made it delicious. The saliva chicken was moist and the cashew nuts and spicy sauce were a perfect match, making it incredibly delicious. To finish off, we ordered the fried rice with assorted ingredients and an additional mapo tofu, and it was a very satisfying evening. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited a Chinese restaurant called "Oil". I arrived around 13:50 on Saturday and there was a line of about 10 people outside the store. It seems like there's always a line during lunchtime. When waiting in line, you are given a menu and asked for your order. Everyone seemed to be ordering the Mapo Tofu lunch for 1200 yen. I also ordered the Mapo Tofu lunch like everyone else. The Mapo Tofu lunch can be upgraded to a larger portion for an additional cost. The lunch comes with side dishes, soup, and rice. The Mapo Tofu was a bit spicy for those who don't like spicy food, but it wasn't too hot and had a good amount of minced meat, making it easy to eat. I could taste the strength of the Sichuan pepper in the spiciness. You can have free refills of rice. They also offer Tianjin Fried Rice and Fried Rice lunches, which I would like to try if I have the chance. Also, because there was a line, I saw some people who were ordering the Mapo Tofu lunch for the first time finding it too spicy, eating very slowly, and leaving a large amount of food uneaten before leaving, which was a sad sight to see. Thank you for the meal. (Visit review: 3.70, 965 reviews)

At lunchtime on a regular day, I walked about 8 minutes from JR Fukushima Station to a restaurant in Tohoku. There are many parking lots in the area, so I visited by car because it was hot. It's a popular place, so there is usually a line. When waiting in front of the store, they give you a menu and take your order. After a while, I entered the restaurant. There is a counter with seating for 7 people, a table for 2, and two tables for 4. It seems like the chef cooks alone, so except for the mapo tofu, it takes some time for the food to be served. While drinking jasmine tea, the mapo tofu arrived first. It came with a small dish, soup, and rice. The soup had a thick texture and was delicious. The mapo tofu was not too thick, with a low viscosity. The numbing sensation of Sichuan pepper was mild, while the spiciness of the chili oil was strong. The rich flavor of the minced meat was delicious. The oily mapo tofu went well with the rice, making the spiciness milder when eaten together. The rice is free for refills, and they also sell homemade chili oil, which looks appetizing. Most people were eating the mapo tofu. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived early but there was already a long line. I waited for about 30 minutes under my parasol, but when I finally got to my seat, the mapo tofu was already there! It was so delicious that I forgot about the long wait. The jasmine tea was also very tasty, I ended up having multiple cups. Thank you for the delicious meal. I definitely want to go back again.
